Speaker 1 (00:00):
Creativity is an addiction, unplugged because we will always say
yes to creativity, totally uncut because we all make mistakes,
So why not turn it into a tool. This is
Arrow unplugged. I like asking questions. The reason why is
because the fund begins when you start researching for answers
such as is the banking industry shrinking? Plus? Can we

(00:20):
live without our smartphones? My name is Arrow. I'm a
daily writer, a silent wolf. That means I stand on
the sidelines and do nothing but watch, listen, study, then activate.
I call it the daily mess, a chronological walk through
an everyday world. Yep, it's my morning pages. As a
receiver of thoughts and ideas, we as people tend to
throw it to the side because we think we're going
to deal with it later. Well, when a subject arrives

(00:42):
inside of me, I know it's time to dig in.
It's still keeping that journal, but by doing the research,
the picture becomes clearer. This is the daily mess. So
is the banking industry shrinking? My wife and I experienced
something yesterday that put the bank teller in a position
of dec vision making that was once held in private
rooms with a personal banker. There wasn't a closed off

(01:05):
room involved at all. The private conversation was held right
there at the teller's desk. Is the banking industry shrinking?
Research shows that, yep, it is. The industry is declining
in the number of banks. The trend is driven by
factors like mergers, acquisitions, and closures of smaller banks. The
US has lost seventy one percent of its banks over

(01:28):
the past four decades. The rise of digital banking has
contributed to the decline. Online services are so important to
the modern bank. In fact, one employee told me that
our company's goal is to get each in every one
of their customers onto the digital platform. Their goals are
still locked in on personalized customer service. Our expectations are
always shaping the future of banking as we know it.

(01:50):
It's evolving and can be a little daunting to keep up.
Just relax and start asking a lot of questions. He
coming up next. Do you think we could live without
our smartphones? Hey, thanks for coming back to the daily mess.
If things suddenly went bad? Could we survive without our smartphones? First?
Would life be better without a smartphone? One expert says,

(02:13):
we'd experience reduced distractions, We would find it easier to
put focus on other expectations. Our mental well being would improve.
Less social media and constant notifications would physically lower our stress,
creating better mental health. So what would happen if suddenly
there was no digital connections available in an instant Our

(02:34):
need to keep in constant touch with each other would
come under attack. Communications would become something that requires time
to reach its source. Long distance would be no more.
So does that prove that the smartphone needs to be
a part of our life? It's a necessity. Absolutely. They
are an integral part of our everyday tasks, from getting
directions to accessing news and entertainment, but more importantly, staying

(02:57):
in touch with family and friends, Merril, And that's the
daily mess
