Speaker 1 (00:00):
Creativity is an addiction, unplugged because we will always say
yes to creativity, totally uncut because we all make mistakes.
So let's turn it into a tool. This is Arrow unplugged.
I love asking questions. I mean, come on, The fun
begins when you start researching for answers such as, is
it true our skin is the largest organ in our body?
(00:23):
Plus music as we know it? Are we going through
another evolution? My name is Arrow. I'm a daily writer,
a silent wolf. That means I stand on the sidelines
and do nothing but watch, listen, study, then activate. I
call it the daily Mess, a chronological walk through in
everyday world. Yep, it's my morning pages. As receiver of
thoughts and ideas, we as people tend to throw things
(00:45):
to the side because we're gonna deal with it later. Yeah, Okay.
When a subject arrives inside of me, I know it's
time to dig in. It's still keeping that daily journal,
but by doing the research, the picture becomes clearer. This
is the daily mass. Is it true our skin is
the largest organ inside our bodies? When I hear organ,
(01:07):
I mean I think of hearts, kidneys, lungs, But your
skin science says yes. It's an organ, and yes, it's
the largest organ inside our bodies. It covers the entire
body and acts as a protective barrier against external factors. Yet,
look at the way some people treat their skin. They'll
watch what they eat so that the inner organs aren't
(01:29):
damaged by certain foods or a lack of But when
it comes to your skin, well, let's go spend hours
in the sun, Let's throw on makeup and other chemicals.
Let's just put it into the pores. It's only skin.
It's going to grow back. Right. Your skin is designed
to protect your body against heat. If we truly are
in a climate out of control, I can't imagine what
(01:50):
your body is going through right now to reinvent itself.
Your skin does all it can to regulate body temperatures
and totally acts like a sensory organ. Now here's something
you may not know. Your skin is not the only
organ that regenerates, as does your liver. Hey, coming up next,
Am I wrong to say that? Quite possibly, we could
(02:12):
be right in the center of another music evolution? Hey,
thanks for coming back to the Daily Mess. Am I
wrong to say today's music is moving through a brand
new genre? Are we hearing the makings of a new
movement in sound. New levels of music are being introduced
every day, which includes current sounds evolving. Yeah, everything is moving.
(02:34):
Some of the hot new sounds include hyper pop. What
hyper pop? A high energy genre with glitchy production that
blends with other genres such as hip hop, R and
B punk and even metal. Also new to the music
scene is Brazilian funk. Are you kidding me? Music critics
(02:54):
call it extremely regional, but it is on the move.
Here's when you'll start hearing about. It's called drill pretty
much underground right now, but it's totally connected to a
different social scene, which means it's on the rise. A
lot of people know of or have heard of trap.
It's still not exactly up in front of everybody, but
(03:15):
it's in its growing stages of acceptance. See what I mean.
Music is always on the move. With summertime right around
the corner, expect to be introduced to other genres such
as mumblecore, dovecore, shoegaze, and post punk. It's okay to
not know them, but you're going to be amazed to
locate them through our desire to explore the sounds of music.
(03:40):
I'm Meryl, and that's the daily mess
