Speaker 1 (00:00):
Creativity is an addiction, unplugged because we will always say
yes to creativity, totally uncut because we all make mistakes.
So let's turn it into a tool. This is arrow unplugged.
I'm constantly being asked about my daily writing discipline. How
do I do it, Why do I do it? And
where does it come from? And what's in the investment
that I've made that keeps me in a brand new

(00:22):
game every day. Well, it's called stream thinking, learning how
to trust what is in the presence of right now.
To get there requires some practice. Here's what I do.
One sheet of paper every day, just ten minutes, write
about whatever is moving through your moment of right now,
without any judgment. Stream thinking sharpens your skills as a listener,
as a communicator, and as an activator. It's learning how

(00:44):
to trust what is in your right now. This is
stream thinking today. We're reading from June twenty second, twenty
twenty four. Call it COVID PTSD. It only intensifies when
you learn people around you are being diagnosed with another
round of the coronavirus. With as much as we do,
my wife and I find ourselves very much aware of

(01:07):
how easy it is to suddenly get hit by the
invisible bug. Does the average person that we meet in
public have allergies? Is it a summer cold we have?
The symptoms of COVID haven't changed, only the people have.
Research shows the majority of those infected keep working and
do not visit a doctor. COVID PTSD. All of these

(01:30):
body aches, sniffles, but no temperature. No, at least, I'm
not thinking about the world going to war. And isn't
that kind of funny how we are reacting in this
modern day, the things that take our minds off from
other things. There used to be a movie called Wag
the Dog where they would try to divert our attention
away from the real news stories. With so much sickness

(01:52):
in the world these days and new names every single day,
our minds aren't placed on where they could be thinking
about Ukraine, the Middle East and what about the way
the nation is now going to be doing tariffs. Our
minds are being shoved in so many different directions that
when it comes to having a real subject to talk
about with a family member, a friend, or somebody knew,

(02:15):
it's like, hey, can we keep this on the light end,
because I'm tired of talking about everything that is just
so heavy to continue growing forward. We've got a lot
not only in our minds, but our heart is now overflowing.
Where are you and how are you dealing with every

(02:38):
single thing that's being thrown at you. I wish my
mother was here because I would love to have that
conversation with her. How did you deal with what you
did with World War Two, the Korean War, the Vietnam War.
I was just this tall. I'm not expected to remember
those days. But how did you deal, especially with the

(03:04):
assassination of not only John F. Kennedy, but Robert Kennedy,
Martin Luther King? How did you deal, maybe with your
blessed life with your parents and grandparents still around. You
should be asking those questions because you're wearing those shoes.

(03:25):
I'm Marrow, and that's stream thinking.
