Speaker 1 (00:00):
Creativity is an addiction, unplugged because we will always say
yes to creativity, totally uncut because we all make mistakes.
So let's turn it into a tool. This is arrow
unplugged stream thinking. It's learning to trust what is in
your present place of right now. To get there requires practice.
Here's what I do. One sheet of paper every day,
just ten minutes, write about whatever is moving through your
(00:22):
right now, with absolutely no judgment. Stream thinking sharpens your
skills as a listener, as a communicator, and more importantly,
a motivator and activator. Learning how to trust what is
right now. This is stream thinking today. We're reading from
July sixth, twenty twenty four. How human are the people
(00:42):
in human resources, or, for that matter, the people that
are at Workmen's comp by way of empathy, my heart
reaches out to them to better understand the endless amounts
of takers that they must face on a daily basis. Sadly,
the injured, those in question and hard workers continue to
face a barrage of upper level protectors that have to
(01:04):
disconnect from personal compassion and support do one hundred percent
to where they earn just the right amount of money
to survive. Now, toss in television lawyers who promise their
viewers thousands of dollars to investigate their case. So much
pressure is on HR and Workmen's Comp and the badly
(01:25):
injured has to patiently wait for physical therapy. That's a
real moment. There are so many people on a daily
basis being injured at work and to go through Workmen's Comp,
to go through the insurance company, it drags out to
the point to where you become weak in the knees
and you start disbelieving in the company that you work for.
(01:47):
It's like, you don't care enough for me to get
me fixed. What's going on here? Obviously I was one
of those people that was injured and continue to be injured.
But the way around it was to try to figure
out where can I find patience, empathy for those that
are in Workmen's Comp and those that are in human
(02:08):
resources empathy, trying to understand them. But the inner battles
that we all face is that we can care for them,
but are they giving it back to us. There are
so many hurdles that they've got to jump over, across,
move through, dig under, get around that by the time
that they get to us, the injury which needed physical therapy,
(02:30):
has started growing scar tissue, which then creates even a
worse moment. Learning how to trust each other is so important,
But the one thing that's out of hand is the time.
The time required to do what they've got to do
and the time required for us to make sure that
we can heal and get back on the job. Have empathy,
(02:52):
be patient, grow forward together and number one, always have conversations.
And even though they sound like they're getting tired of
hearing from you, make sure that you don't stop talking.
I'm Maril and that's stream thinking.
