Speaker 1 (00:00):
Creativity is an addiction, unplugged because we will always say
yes to creativity, totally uncut because we all make mistakes.
So let's turn it into a tool. This is Arrow unplugged.
I'm the one that's always going to ask the questions.
And the reason why is because I believe the fund
begins when you start researching for answers such as why
are so many people in transition right now? We're moving
(00:20):
to new towns and even countries? Plus the rumor? What
is it about rumors that change people's lives as well
as habits. My name is Arrow. I'm a daily writer,
a silent wolf. I stand on the sidelines and do
nothing but watch, listen, study, then activate. I call it
the daily mess, a chronological walk through an everyday world. Yep,
it's my morning pages. As a receiver of thoughts and ideas,
(00:43):
we as people tend to throw things to the side
because we think we're gonna deal with it later. Well,
when a subject arrives inside of me, I know it's
time to dig in. It's still keeping that daily writing,
but by doing the research, the picture becomes clearer. This
is the daily mess, This that I'm living in Charlotte
North Carolina has always been an epicenter, a melting pot,
(01:05):
meaning people from everywhere are calling this dot on the
map their home. But why are so many people repositioning
their lifestyle right now? There's a lot of people moving
around right now. Experts point to several different reasons, which
include job opportunities, the cost of living, affordable housing, escaping
high taxes, and the climate. The number one state people
(01:29):
are leaving is New York. Where are they going? A
recent survey points to the state of West Virginia. These
are the things that aren't making the headlines. Something else
that isn't people who are moving out of the country.
The study shows the global landscape is being reshaped once again.
The high cost of living here in the States is
one of the top reasons Americans are fleeing because healthcare
(01:51):
is so expensive, Improved working conditions are found in other countries,
and it's simply a balance life that's waiting for us
across that borderline. People on the move is nothing really new.
The entire history of this country has been built on
picking up our roots and replanting them. Hey, coming up next,
(02:12):
why do people tend to believe more in a rumor
than fact? Hey, thanks for coming back to the daily Mess.
Why do people tend to believe more in rumors rather
than fact It has a lot to do with our mindsets.
Rumors are believed more when we're feeling uncertain, have high
levels of anxiety, and truly have a lack of hardcore information.
(02:35):
Even if a rumor is false, the human being feels
a sense of explanation. Social factors such as fitting in
are so important to our personal needs. According to mental
health studies, a rumor fills in the gap. It's a
moment where we think we now understand, but in reality
it's only a rumor. What makes a rumor bad medicine
(02:56):
is when we combine it with other rumors. The alignment
messes around with our perspective. Rumors share the stage with
large amounts of other emotional changes, such as conspiracy theories,
fake news, and flat out misinformation. My father always told us, hey,
stop believing everything that you hear. I can hear him today, Hey,
(03:18):
stop believing everything you read on that internet. Rule number one,
stop spreading rumors. I'm arrow and that's the daily mess.
