Speaker 1 (00:00):
Creativity is an addiction, unplugged because we will always say
yes to creativity, totally uncut because we all make mistakes.
So let's turn it into a tool. This is arrow
unplugged stream thinking. It's learning how to trust what is
in your present place of right now. To get there
require some practice one sheet of paper, just ten minutes,
write about whatever is moving through your presence of right
(00:22):
now without any type of judgment. Stream thinking sharpens your
skills as a listener, as a communicator, and as an activator.
Learning how to trust what is right now. This is
stream thinking today. We're reading from July thirteenth, twenty twenty four.
Regretting what you didn't do in life. I was shocked
to learn that such a feeling actually starts to unfold
(00:44):
in your twenties. I remember regretting that I didn't take
high school serious enough. I was more interested in my
radio life, which began at the age of fourteen. I
was married by eighteen, but I don't regret it. As
we age into our thirties, regrets actually evolve into reaction.
They're more prevalent. I've read grumpy old man syndrome is
(01:06):
fed by regrets. We still want to do things, but
the old body just won't allow it. People who are
dying are overtaken by regret the little thing such as
asking a certain person out on a date or not
learning a new hobby, which is every reason why I
will never say no to another opportunity. But I'm consistently
(01:27):
asked how do you find the time to do what
it is that you have done. It's by saying yes,
then going to my Google calendar and locating the space
where I can fit it in as long as I
have enough room to breathe in between projects. And I
call that a transition. Saying yes to a lot of
things in life gives you the opportunity to feel like
(01:48):
an exploration in full mode. And when you get to
the other side, and sometimes you won't, it's still I tried.
I gave it my best. I do believe in the
next step I'm going to take. So stop saying no
to little opportunities and say yes to those eighty bitty
seeds because you know how powerful a mustard seed can be.
(02:10):
I'm Merril, and that's stream thinking.
