Speaker 1 (00:00):
Creativity is an addiction, unplugged because we will always say
yes to creativity, totally uncut because we all make mistakes.
So let's turn it into a tool. This is Arrow unplugged.
I'm always asking questions, and the reason why is because
it's fun to start researching for answers such as why
do words jump into our heads without fair warning of

(00:20):
their total impact? Plus? Can someone really invest way too
much energy into their creativity? My name is Arrow. I'm
a daily writer, a silent wolf. That means I stand
on the sidelines and do nothing but watch, listen, study,
then activate. I call it the daily mess, a chronological
walk through an everyday world. Yep, it's my morning pages.
As a receiver of thoughts and ideas, we as people

(00:42):
tend to throw things to the side because we think
we're going to deal with it later. Yeah. Right, When
a subject arrives inside of me, I know it's time
to dig in. It's still keeping that daily journal, but
by doing the research, the picture becomes clearer. This is
the daily mess. Word that come to us when we
least expect it, but many of us set them to

(01:04):
the side, when in fact we could be learning something
new during these days of too much confusion. The word
that hit me while in prayer today was complexity. What why?
Complexity is often needed because it allows for nuance, depth,
and more accurate representation of real world situations. Complexity is
beneficial in the areas of art, science, and other problem

(01:26):
solving situations. The word complexity is valuable in the way
of enabling a richer understanding and more effective solution. But
but but but but but there can be unnecessary complexity.
Depending on it too much can easily lead to confusion, inefficiency,
and difficulty in implementation. Gaining access to balance is essential.

(01:51):
Simplicity and complexity have got to be able to work together,
especially today with all of the anxiety of too much
change and daily discipline should be focused in on truly,
truly avoiding unnecessary complications. The key to this keep yourself
away from too much complexity. You need to be easier

(02:11):
on yourself. Hey, coming up next, Can someone invest too
much energy into their creative lifestyle? Hey? Thanks for coming
back to the daily mess? Can someone invest too much
energy into their creative lifestyle? There is a reason why
I host the iHeartRadio podcast. Creativity is an addiction blessed

(02:31):
with so many conversations with some of the most creative
people on the planet. Very rarely do I ever hear
someone say that creativity isn't an addiction. So what does
it mean to be creative? It's been defined as being
our action to embrace curiosity, to challenge our wisdom while
pushing our boundaries. Creativity means generating new ideas and solutions,

(02:53):
taking risks while thinking outside normalisms. But there isn't always
a day of victory. Being very creative has it setbacks,
such as self created failure or disappointments. A lot of
creative people find themselves in moments of confusion or doubt
because it's an endless cycle to keep coming up with
new ways to be unique. It's that constant need to

(03:16):
invent something new. For some creatives, we don't know when
enough is enough. Your greatest tool of protection is always
going to be awareness. Know what you're doing to your
creative path. I'm Meryl, and that's the daily mess.
