Speaker 1 (00:00):
Creativity is an addiction, unplugged because we will always say
yes to creativity, totally uncut because we all make mistakes.
So let's turn it into a tool. This is arrow
unplugged stream thinking. It's learning how to trust what is
in your present place of right now now. To get
there is going to require some practice. This is what
I do one sheet of paper every day, just ten minutes.
(00:21):
Write about whatever is moving through your presence of right now.
And I do mean write about whatever with absolutely no judgment.
Stream thinking will sharpen your skills as a listener, as
a communicator, and as an activator. It's learning how to
trust your right now. This is stream thinking today. We're
(00:42):
reading from July twentieth, twenty twenty four. Tipping people at
places of business has become a hot topic. It used
to be a gift for those who served food at restaurants,
driving limos or taxis, or entertainers such as musicians, comedians,
and even mobile DJs. This week, during his presidential nomination speech,
the party leader dropped a huge thought into the hearts
(01:03):
of all people who receive tips, which now includes nearly
every business and walk of life. In that speech, we
heard I want to stop taking taxes out of what
you make in tips. How would that change the business world.
We're not going to pay you a wage anymore. We
want you to collect tips. This one hurts right here deeply,
(01:28):
only because the business of radio has kind of gone
that way. We can't give you a salary, but will
give you a radio show, and we will sell it,
and you can make money off that radio show. We
used to joke around back in the seventies, eighties and
nineties that one day businesses will see what they've got
in radio and know that those of us who do
(01:50):
talk on this microphone would do it for free, would
go ahead and just take those steps, because there's just
something about the performance. So when I heard this, you
can earn your tips, but we won't take taxes out
right away, I started fearing businesses. Let them make tips,
that's how they can make their money. We'll save on wages.
(02:13):
I hope it doesn't grow in that way, but I
also hope that as you grow in your way, that
if tips become a part of your agreement to stay
at a business, think more than once, think heavily, and
don't think from your heart, think from your future. I'm rrow,
and that's stream thinking.
