Speaker 1 (00:00):
Creativity is an addiction, unplugged because we will always say
yes to creativity, totally uncut because we all make mistakes.
So let's turn it into a tool. This is Arrow unplugged.
I love asking questions because the fund begins when you
start researching for answers such as why are we so
reluctant to make changes? Plus what are the best ways
(00:23):
to deal with all of these emotions that are caused
by the current political situation. My name is Arrow. I'm
a daily writer, a silent wolf. I stand on the
sidelines and do nothing but watch, listen, study, then activate.
I call it the daily Mess, a chronological walk through
an everyday world. Yes, it's my morning pages. As a
receiver of thoughts and ideas, we as people tend to
(00:45):
throw things to the side because we think we're going
to get back to it later. When a subject arrives
inside of me, I know it is time to dig in.
It's still keeping that daily journal, but by doing the research,
the picture becomes clearer. This is the daily mess. So
why is it we're so reluctant to make changes? Mental
(01:07):
health experts are very clear with that answer. It's the
fear of the unknown. We love our routines, and breaking
free of them can be very difficult. We don't want
the disruption on our daily paths because we feel out
of control, which messes around with our comfort level. When
there's change, our anxiety rises. It's that feeling of being overwhelmed,
(01:29):
like stepping into a giant pile of unfamiliarity. Change disrupts
our sense of security, which leads to resistance that in
itself triggers negative emotions fear and even anger. When you
no longer trust, your confidence level deflates. Sure it sounds
easy when someone says you're just going to have to adapt.
Oh really, most of us go the opposite route. We resist.
(01:52):
So how do we fix this? Well, the answer is
creating better ways to communicate. I mean, you've got to
be heard. It totally helps out your inner soul. The
real goal is to not give up on the new initiatives,
but be open and be realistic. Frustration can't find room
inside your soul. Hey, coming up next, the world that
(02:12):
we live in, all of these political things. How can
we deal better with this? Hey? Thanks for coming back
to the daily mess modern day politics, our daily dose
of living the reality of a real soap opera. So
what are the best ways to manage all of this drama?
Psychiatrists are all over this because many people at all
(02:36):
different levels are totally beat up by the hourly updates
from the world of American politics. Depression right now is huge.
Doctors openly admit we are living in a very unique
period of history. There are five things that we can
easily work on to help reduce politically induce stress. Number one,
be aware of how much time you see spend engaging
(03:01):
yourself with political content. Be aware of it. Number two,
be mindful of your surroundings when sharing your opinion, keep
in mind your opinion. Number three, be open to learning
about other points of view. Number four, do all you
(03:22):
can to gain the strength to step away from a conversation.
Number five. Self assess. That is so important. You've got
to self assess your interests. Get to know why you
want to be consumed by so much political content. Don't
ever forget national news and social media outlets are professionals
(03:45):
in getting you to stay right where you are and
come back as often as possible. They're professionals at that.
You've got to make the concerted effort to regain control.
How you get your political news. It's time to get
out of that hole. My name is Aeron. That's the
daily mess.
