Speaker 1 (00:00):
Creativity is an addiction, unplugged because we will always say
yes to creativity, totally uncut because we all make mistakes.
So let's turn it into a tool. This is Arrow unplugged.
I like asking questions. The reason why is because the
fund begins when you start researching for answers such as
does prayer really work? Plus how often do we face

(00:21):
a missed opportunity? My name is Arrow. I'm a daily writer,
a silent wolf. I stand on the sidelines and do
nothing but watch, listen, study, then activate. I call it
the daily mess, a chronological walk through an everyday world. Yep,
it's my morning pages. As a receiver of thoughts and ideas,
we as people tend to throw things to the side
because we think we're going to deal with it later,

(00:43):
out of sight, out of mind. When a subject arrives
inside of me, I know it is time to dig in.
It's still keeping a daily journal, but by doing the research,
the picture becomes clearer. This is the daily mess. So
does prayer really work? Spiritual experts are extremely clear when
it comes to the question such as does prayer really work,

(01:04):
to which they reply define work. Studies show prayer can
have psychological benefits such as reducing stress and anxiety. It
can also be a source of comfort and hope. However,
there is no scientific evidence that prayer directly influences external
events or the physical healing process in a way that

(01:25):
is different from other treatments or interventions. Prayer provides a
sense of purpose and connection. It leads to improved morale
and a more positive outlook, but does it heal as
we've been told? Scientific studies say it's a placebo effect
or the expectation of recovery. They go on to say
that prayer does not influence external events, but instead is

(01:48):
a powerful tool for self reflection, connecting people to a
higher power. The effects of prayer are personal and science
has nothing to do with that. So do what you want.
Build up that relationship. Coming up next. How often do
we face a missed opportunity? Hey, thanks for coming back

(02:09):
to the daily mess. How often do we face a
missed opportunity? Whether it be a job promotion, a chance
to meet a new friend, or chefing in the kitchen?
Missed opportunities are very, very common. One problem, it's impossible
to pinpoint a specific frequency. Everyone experiences moments where they
could as should have would and oh boy, we did

(02:31):
something different instead. The key is to not dwell on
those moments, but to learn from them and focus on
future opportunities. Once again, they are one hundred percent natural.
It's based on circumstances and perceptions. Sure, we have our
moments of regret, and it's what we do with the
ill feeling that helps us define our walk through this

(02:53):
everyday life, which is every bit the reason why I
have chosen to create a new podcast called Missed Opportunity.
I have hundreds of pages of show prep and research
from people that were scheduled to have a conversation with
me on the podcast and for some reason it didn't happen.
I call it my missed Opportunity. The goal is to
try and reconnect with the writers, the producers, the actors,

(03:16):
the singers, everybody, just so that we can say, hey,
we got our shot. Life is about exploration. I'm Meryl
and that's the daily mess

Are You A Charlotte?

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
