Speaker 1 (00:00):
Creativity is an addiction, unplugged because we will always say
yes to creativity, totally uncut because we all make mistakes.
So let's turn it into a tool. This is Arrow unplugged.
I'm that person that's always asking questions. The reason why
is because it's fun to begin a journey of researching
for answers such as why are grocery store prices still
so high? Plus? Do we have a cold the flu?
(00:24):
Or is it allergies? My name is Arrow. I'm a
daily writer, a silent wolf. That means I stand on
the sidelines and do nothing but watch, listen, study, than activate.
I call it the daily mess, a chronological walk through
an everyday world. Yep, it's my morning pages. As a
receiver of thoughts and ideas, we as people tend to
throw things to the side because we're gonna deal with
(00:44):
it at a later time. When a subject arrives inside
of me, I know it's time to dig in. It's
still keeping that daily journal, but by doing the research,
the picture becomes clearer. This is the daily mess. We've
all been dealing with it, but do we know the
full story? Here? Why are grocery store prices still so high?
Economic experts say it's a combination of factors, which does
(01:07):
include inflation, the ongoing supply chain disruption that was caused
by the pandemic as well as the war in Ukraine.
The high cost of food is also connected to increased
labor costs. People want to make more money, they want
to take more money home. What does that mean? That
means that we're going to have to pay more on food.
When it comes down to a single answer, it's the
interplay of production, distribution and global market forces. Knowing this,
(01:32):
how can a president physically say that he's going to
lower the price of groceries. Some say it's all about
calling out the grocery store chains who are making a
record profit right now. Leaders can enforce them to cut
back on high prices. Experts also say it's time to
invest in fertilizer production and meet and poultry processors. The
goal is to spur competition, giving farmers more market options.
(01:55):
Here's the stinker. Though eighty five percent of us, the consumers,
we do not believe the prices will ever drop again.
Studies show we fix the problem by buying less. He
coming up next? Tis the season? Is it allergies? Is
it the flu? Do I have a cold? He thanks
for coming back to the daily mess. Tis the season?
(02:17):
Do we have a cold? Is it the flu? Or
is it allergies? This is the time of year where
people are coughing, sneezing and complaining about having a sore throat,
but there isn't a high temperature. How can this be?
Doctors look for non infectious factors such as allergies, acid reflox,
dry air, and the physical straining of your throat such
(02:38):
as yelling. The types of allergies that can knock us
down include dust mites and pet dander. Oh yeah, during
the winter months, your pet's coat thickens up, and what
do we do? We give that baby a big old
hug and we smush our face in their fur. So
the question is when will these allergies need to be
looked at by a professional doctor? When your sore throat
(02:59):
becomes too painful to swallow, or if it lasts longer
than a week. Treating your sore throat means drinking plenty
of water, gargle with warm salt water, take ibuprofen. The
goal is to keep moving and always be aware of
your temperature. Remember, having a cold or flu has a
really sneaky way of tapping you on the shoulder and
(03:20):
biting you. I'm Errow, and that's the daily mess.
