Hey, thanks for being a part of the conversation. This
is Forest Stories. I am the Poet in the Forest,
a children's series that I pinned out in the nineteen nineties. Now,
none of it would be possible if it wasn't for
this forest right here in South Charlotte, North Carolina. I
talk about it so much that I thought maybe it's
time that you get to know what has inspired me

for thirty years. Thanks for being a part of the conversation.
Welcome back to the forest mine. How time flies. It's
that time of season again. The beekeeper has put up
the sign courts of honey, fresh local honey are now
up for sale. Talking with him this morning and they

(00:42):
were very happy to hear that people are interested in
this honey that they have been selling for over two decades.
The beekeeper a very peaceful man, always taking walks to
see what his little little workers are doing throughout the
entire neighborhood around this beautiful lake and slow moving stream.
He knows what he's doing because he understands that with nature,

(01:06):
we all need these bees and this is his way
of giving love back to the community by sharing the
honey in pints. Courts. Whatever you're looking for. Just add
the local honey to your mind, body, and soul, because
in reality, it's very very good for you. Tis the
season once again, the honey is ready. Look how long

(01:30):
it's taken for all of that to be created. And
then to take something that a natural living insect has
created inside their own mind, body, and soul and then
share it with the community. It's a universal connection that
so many people take advantage of or just totally ignore.
