Speaker 1 (00:00):
Ernie is my Blue Crown conyer. For over thirty years,
he's overlooked his forest right here in South Charlotte, North Carolina.
I mean, every day Ernie sits in his beautiful home,
overlooking the trees, the nearby lake, and every bit of
the wildlife, strolling through the forest like nothing else in
the world matters but their moment of now. Ernie and
I share the same vision. It's this forest. We both

(00:20):
look into the trees and study the earth below. There's
just something very spiritual here. The lyrics to Ernie's Forest,
we both receive an amazing amount of energy. I put
all of my trust and skills as a student into
what he's willing to share with me. These aren't my words,
these are the lyrics from Ernie's Forest, chapter number four
hundred and ten, January twenty seventh, twenty twenty four. This

(00:44):
forest came with a slow paced stream, with barely any
movement unless it's raining pretty hard. Well, a few weeks
ago we were hit by a huge southern downpour that
reshaped a huge part of the forest floor. The slow
paced stream did a lot of damage to the banks,
and the scars remain today. As nature evolves, newer presentations

(01:06):
of the forest will be the next chapters that which
will inspire and influence our reasons to pay closer attention
to how we change and why. I was deeply saddened
on that hard, rainy southern day that the very place
where I used to share my mind, body and soul,
something I called the sacred circle, was totally underwater and destroyed.
It's not there anymore. The scars. Looking at our own

(01:30):
bodies and seeing we two have scars, they happen to
have stories as well. The scratches and the tears. They
became our new forever, the scars. Do you ever look
at your scars and remember the day that you earned it?
Did you earn it? Is it part of our story?
What are we to learn from it? Did you go

(01:51):
back and do the same thing that created that one
time scar? That place where you may have bled that scratch,
that cut, that bad bruise, the scars in our life,
I often wonder, well, what was I doing wrong in
order to have this mark on my arm? Was I
not thinking? Was I out of focus? Did it happen

(02:14):
unexpectedly because I didn't expect something to be in the roadway?
The scars I study this forest deeply because I believe
it's showing me, Hey, awareness is your key. Awareness is
where you need to walk, be aware of all things.

(02:34):
And so when I get into large crowds, just like
this forest with as many trees as it's got, a
crowded forest, when I get in large crowds, I'm able
to move through those people because the way that I
move through this forest is through balance. Study your scars.
Don't go out and get scars, because then you're trying

(02:55):
to write a story. I'm error. These aren't my words.
These are the lyrics from Ernie's Forest.
