Speaker 1 (00:00):
Ernie is a Blue Crown conyer. For over thirty two
years he has overlooked this forest in South Charlotte, North Carolina.
Every day, Ernie sits in his beautiful home, overlooking the trees,
the nearby lake, and every bit of the wildlife, strolling
so freely on this amazing peacefield land. Ernie and I
share the same vision. It's this forest. We both look

(00:21):
into the trees and study the earth below. There's something
very spiritual going on here. We both receive an amazing
amount of energy. I put all of my trust and
skills as a student into what he is willing to
share with me. These are not my words, These are
the lyrics from Ernie's Forest, chapter number four hundred thirteen,
February tenth, twenty twenty four. I find it very interesting

(00:45):
to write on the day that would have been my
brother's sixty fifth birthday. He stood in this forest. He
was very interested in how much wildlife was present. How
can you be this close to a city and still
hear the call of the hawk, the hooting of the owls,
the deer, the turtle, and unforgettable spider webs. In spirit,
Teddy is in this forest today. He walks with me.

(01:07):
Each moment I get to take a transition walk, to
listen to the moments that have been lived out and
will be experienced. I often wonder if it's not Teddy
guiding the wildlife to the paths that run deep into
these trees. So many times I call them godwinks, taken
by surprise by the beauty of a six point buck
or the simpleness of a honey bee, always willing to

(01:30):
share the scent of new birth and fruit. Happy birthday,
my brother, my brother, my brother. I'm Errold. These are
not my words. These are the lyrics from Ernie's Forest
