Speaker 1 (00:00):
Okay, So for all these years I've said, hey, if
you're looking for a great podcast, just google me Arrowcollins,
and then all of a sudden you find yourself on
a streaming platform and can't figure out where anything is.
He said, he was talking to this person. But okay,
So what I've done is I've centralized it. Now Arrow
dot net, A R r Oe dot Net, all seventeen
of my podcasts are up there for you to enjoy. Joe,

(00:21):
congratulations on what you're doing here with A Laura, because
it really is something that I believe inside my heart
only because I've been experiencing it, that it is going
to change people in a very beatle esque way in
the way that it's going to change their lifestyle and
the way that they look at things in their life,
and how they can just kind of pipe down a
bit and start enjoining things.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
I hope.

Speaker 3 (00:43):
So that's the goal of it all, really is to
make life a little bit easier for everybody.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
How did you make it taste so incredible? Because so
many of these THC infused drinks they have kind of
an after flavor. Oh oh no, not a Laura. It
does not. It's very fruity and I don't like to
mix it with anything because I do like the flavor
as a standalone.

Speaker 3 (01:05):
Yeah, we have a fantastic formulator who's been doing this
for a long time, and we got really lucky bringing
him on and giving him the tools he needs to
be successful. And also it's a trial and error. I
mean we ran through probably thirty to thirty five different
versions of that product.

Speaker 2 (01:18):
I'fore we settled on the one we.

Speaker 3 (01:19):
Wanted to go with. It cost us a little bit
in terms of the time to market, but I think
in the end coming out with a great product is
going to be reward enough, and hopefully the consumer fields
the same way.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
Speaking of marketing, I'm sitting here and I talk with
more people because you go into a wine store, it's
readily available. In fact, they're putting up billboards here in
the Charlotte area with it. And the thing is is
that why isn't it in the grocery stores yet? And
will restaurants be serving it as well? Because like I said,
this is very, very enjoyable.

Speaker 3 (01:48):
Yeah, the industry in general THHD drink has really catapulted
in the last three years. I mean it's gone from
something no one's ever heard of to something that's pretty mainstream.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
I'm seeing in.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
Louisiana and bars restaurant. I know a lot of bars
are carrying it now in Charlotte, and I think the
next days of this is going from THG selters to
cocktails with THHD in it.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
And that's what a law is made.

Speaker 3 (02:10):
For, is craft cocktails and getting that kind of premium
experience instead of just drinking from a can.

Speaker 1 (02:16):
Well, I'm going to tell you, and I'm not a doctor,
I'm not a scientist, but I'm going to tell you
how it's changed me. I don't do the alcohol anymore.
This in itself, one shot, I'm fine, and I hope
that there's a lot of people that are just like
me that I do just one of these and that's
all I need to find that relaxation that I went seeking.

Speaker 3 (02:36):
Yeah, it's really a well stop shop for feeling good,
and it's fairly low in calories. It's not gonna make
you feel bloated or hung over the next day. And
if you don't feel like one shops enough, you who
are welcome to drink some more.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
Yeah, and I'll tell you what. Look at the ingredients
on this, you know, total fat zero cholesterol, zero total
caybrohydrates only only three percent. You see, I mean, but
you put up a bottle of alcohol against this, No,
there's no competition here at all. You guys are stepping
into a healthier tomorrow.

Speaker 3 (03:09):
We hope to contribute to people living a healthier lifestyle
and the more enjoyable one as well.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
You know, one of the things that we always hear.

Speaker 3 (03:16):
From consumers is that they don't want any calories. They
don't want any calories, and when it comes down to it,
what people actually want is something that tastes good and
has low calories. Yes, because what we've found time and
time again is nobody wants a drink something doesn't taste good.
And you might say you want something zero calories, but
if you don't like it, you're not going to keep drinking.
And that's why the focus of all of our products
is to make them as good as possible so people
keep on enjoying them and feel good about themselves.

Speaker 1 (03:38):
See that's the very reason why I do Allure all
by itself, because I do like the flavor. I do
find that as being that happy place in my day.

Speaker 3 (03:49):
Yeah, we you know, generally, I think people are consuming
it at night. I know plenty of people who are
reaching forward first thing in the morning now instead of
their old bombs. So hopefully we're making changes for people.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
One of the things that I'm noticing, and we can
cross this out if we need to, is that the
and I had to sit down with my management and say,
you know I'm going to be doing this, it is
filled with THHC. I mean, am I going to pass
or fail a test? We don't look at that anymore.
And I'm going you have no idea how you're going
to change people's lives, because if you're not doing that anymore,
then we've stepped into a new age where people can

(04:22):
really explore. In fact, let me share with you my
wife has taken less meds and is doing this and
is getting sleep at night. That's how important this has become.

Speaker 3 (04:33):
Well, I can't make any medical claims, but I can
sure tell you that when I have one of these
at night, I do sleep a lot better.

Speaker 2 (04:38):
Yep.

Speaker 1 (04:38):
Nice. Yeah, yeah, because there's just something about it that
is extremely natural. That's what I love about it.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (04:47):
We do our best to use all natural ingredients, real fruit,
juices and things like that. We try to stay away
from any artificial sweeteners, artificial flavorings, and ultimately everyone's trying
to live a healthier lifestyle.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
Now, that's why you're seeing.

Speaker 3 (04:59):
People drink less less alcohol, and a lot of people
are consuming more cannabis because the health effects are just
not as detrimental to somebody as as when you're shooting,
you know, twelve shots at tequila at night.

Speaker 1 (05:10):
One of the things that we've noticed here in the
Caroline is if there's a winery, they'll give us, they'll
give us a tour, if they're if they're if they're
making harder alcohols, they'll give us, give us a tour.
Do you guys give tours or do you let us
inside the actual fermenting of this or is there fermenting
even involved?

Speaker 2 (05:25):
There is no fermenting involved in this.

Speaker 3 (05:27):
Fortunately, we use a mix of natural ingredients that tastes
straight and it's it's a fairly simple process to actually
make it once we get the nano multiplied GHC, and
that's what makes it hit so much faster than a
traditional edible. It's broken down into really small particles and
absorbed through your body a lot faster, so you don't
have to sit around waiting for an hour or two
hours to find out if this product is actually going

(05:49):
to affect you.

Speaker 1 (05:50):
So now, when I was doing research, and I really
try to do all the hardest I can do because
I want to understand where we're growing. And it's been
described as being more of a psychoede than anything. And
once I understood that and saw that word, I was
able to enjoy this even more. Do you see it
as the psychedelic?

Speaker 2 (06:11):
I think that it's.

Speaker 3 (06:13):
Hard to describe the feeling that marijuana or cannabis really
has on a consumer.

Speaker 2 (06:18):
I think it's very personal.

Speaker 3 (06:19):
Some people find that cannabis is really relaxing and makes
you mellow out. Other people it makes them want to
go play sports and jump on a treadmill.

Speaker 2 (06:25):
So I think it's kind of each their own on
that one.

Speaker 3 (06:28):
And you know, I don't babble too much anymore in
the daytime cannabis use, but at night I definitely enjoy
watching a funny movie and eating a whole pizza if
I have to.

Speaker 1 (06:36):
Oh, you bring up such a funny thing, because that's
exactly what happens. My wife and are enjoying a movie
and we can break it apart, and she kind of
looks at me, going, who the hell is this new guy?
And I said it, these guys are leading me to
something here that is keeping me well tuned into what
we do at night instead of falling asleep.

Speaker 3 (06:54):
Yeah, it's you know, like I said, some people have
very different effects when they consume these for and some
people are gonna love it and some people may not
love it as much. But that's the beauty of Americas
that we get to choose what we want to consume,
and I hope it stays that way for a long time.

Speaker 1 (07:09):
One of the things I'm noticing is the marketing in it.
So are you guys physically in these wine stores and
things like that, you know, shaking hands, kissing babies and
allowing people to understand it's not a nasty thing, it
is not against the law. It is okay.

Speaker 3 (07:25):
Yeah, we have twenty sales reps around the country and
with probably another forty or fifty ambassadors that are doing
tastings all over the place, just letting people be introduced
to this and a place where they're used to buying
intoxicating beverages. And the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. We're
really feeling good about the product and just happy to
be contributing to the better men of people's lives.

Speaker 1 (07:44):
Please do not move. There's more with Joe Garrity from
Cres and Canna coming up next. The name of the products,
at least the one I'm trying is a Laura. It
comes from Cres and Canna and we're checking in with
Joe Garrity. So, now, do you have several different flavors
and different styles, because you know, you were talking about
the fruity flavor. If you don't like the fruity stuff,

(08:05):
is there something that will give you kind of a
little bit more of an edgy, sharper taste.

Speaker 3 (08:11):
Well, right now, this is the flavor that we're going
We do have a couple more in the works. We
have a ten milligram and it's twenty milligrams or people
who have a little higher have a little higher tolerance.
Let's say, then we're doing that because there's demand forth.

Speaker 2 (08:23):
There are people who who have scaled their.

Speaker 3 (08:25):
Tolerance to a point where five milligrams just doesn't really
affect them as much as you know, maybe it used to,
or maybe they're they're lifelong cannabis users and they're just
used to having a higher dose when they want to
achieve a certain level of intoxication.

Speaker 1 (08:39):
Let's say yeah, And listeners need to understand that they've
got to play the game right because even though the
bottle may say five or ten, the thing is, though,
is that you can keep going back to it. It's
still five. It's not going to jump up to ten.
And so when you said twenty, I'm going what really?
Now you have my hello?

Speaker 3 (08:57):
Well, you know we make CC beverages too, Crescent nine,
and we have those ranging in potency from five to fifty,
and the fifty milligram, believe it or not, is the
best selling keys you drink in the country right now.
So if that tells you anything about what people are
looking for, I think it's that there are there is
demand for higher potency stuff and there are consumers that
are eager and willing to purchase it when they find

(09:19):
it on the shelves, especially in their grocery or liquor stores.

Speaker 1 (09:22):
Let me ask you this, Joe, when you do a fifty,
does it still take the hour and a half or
two hours to set in or does it come in
a little bit quicker.

Speaker 3 (09:29):
Oh, that's about fifteen minutes, just like the legalrea all
they all hit very quickly.

Speaker 2 (09:33):
Oh my god. See, and that's that.

Speaker 1 (09:36):
Yeah, that's important because how many how many consumers are
going to sit there and say, well, I don't feel
it yet, I'm gonna do more. I'm gonna do more. Well,
you just made a mistake. You're not playing by the rules.
You've got to play by the rules.

Speaker 2 (09:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (09:48):
That was my problem with edibles a long time ago,
and I when I used to go to dispensaries in
legal states, is that you need a gummy. You'd wait
an hour, you wouldn't feel anything, you need another gummy.
All of a sudden you're holding onto the ground to
keep falling off the earth and doesn't one haven't even
kicked in yet. So we really try to produce products.

Speaker 2 (10:06):
That people can enjoy responsibly.

Speaker 3 (10:07):
And one of the challenges that the industry has right
now is the federal landscape where a lot of politicians
who don't really understand this stuff are trying to tone
it down, say only five milligrams are allowed, or oh,
you have to buy these things and dispensaries, and the
reality is consumers have been choosing cannabis for a long
time now. The difference between this stuff and going to
a dispensary is that a lot of people would never

(10:28):
step foot in the dispensary. They never have before, they
never want to. But you know what, when they see
a brightly colored can or a beautiful looking bottle in
their grocery store, they're going to reach for it and
they're going to try it, and if they love it,
they're going to keep on buying it.

Speaker 1 (10:39):
I was going to ask you about that because I've
read research at the reason why certain wines sell is
because the bottle is pretty Oh yeah.

Speaker 3 (10:47):
We spend a lot of time on our marketing, a
lot of time on our brand design, and we're pretty
proud of the products we've created so far.

Speaker 1 (10:53):
Wow. Now I need to point out something very clearly
to listeners. Your bottle says Vegan. That is it's so
important here in the Carolina is because our Vegan listening
audience is through the roof crazy and this is exactly
what they can add to their life without saying there
going well, I go to ployee by the rules. Well
you know what it says it right there, Vegan.

Speaker 2 (11:13):
Yeah, we do.

Speaker 3 (11:14):
We do our best to make our products appealing as
we can to everybody and I don't think there are
too many carnivores out there who are gonna sumb their noses.
That's something that's vegan. So if we happen to lose
a couple of carnivores, that's okay. We're doing our best
for everybody else.

Speaker 1 (11:27):
Are you waiting for a TV show to pick up
on it? Because I mean, Sex and the City was
all about the wine and and you know, and sipping
on that. I keep waiting for that new episode of
something to say, you know, I've been doing this THCHC
infused Drake and and you know, Alaura is just is
is unbelievable and I need, I need to put it
in my life.

Speaker 3 (11:44):
Well, we have a box truck that we use, and
we were self distributing when we started. And I've been
offering it up to movie studios asking for somebody, anybody
to blow it up on camera. Yeah, but I still
don't have any takers. Maybe this will help them find somebody.

Speaker 1 (11:56):
Absolutely. Now, let's talk about the business side of it.
If you if you're open to it. What about these
states such as North Carolina that thinks they've got to
rewrite the laws and say, well, you know, I'm going
to give you every excuse in the world why we
shouldn't be doing this, but it's not. They haven't stopped
it yet, So therefore, how are you dealing with these
state laws that are bumping you upside your creative process.

Speaker 3 (12:19):
Well, in North Carolina, to be very frank is one
of the most hem friendly states in the country, and
I think all the politicians who are involved in that,
there's a reason that we're based there. There's a reason
that so many hem companies and so many farmers are
based there, and so many jobs have been created in
North Carolina, and that's because the politicians have done the
right thing. They've gotten out of the way, they've had
common sense regulations on it, and they haven't overseets. And

(12:41):
we're seeing pushbacks when a lot of people both in
the state and nationally who feel all of a sudden that, oh,
this industry has arisen, these jobs have created it's one
of the fastest growing in the country.

Speaker 2 (12:50):
We need to stop that. And it's important for everybody.

Speaker 3 (12:52):
Who enjoys these products, and everybody who enjoys freedom really
and small businesses, jobs and financial security to reach out
to their politicians and let them know that these products
are not harmful. These products are helpful, and you like
them and you want them, and you don't need somebody
getting in their way and creating a giant tax burden
and creating restrictions on where and where and when these
can be sold. We're all for common sense regulation. We

(13:14):
only sell the twenty one plus. We don't put fifty
milli grand products in bars and restaurants. We want the
consumer to choose what they want, and we think that's
the ultimate goal of politicians, is to work for the people,
not the other way around.

Speaker 1 (13:25):
Now you realize, Joe, that the very second somebody tries
a Laura automatic to me, they're going to become an influencer.
In other words, they're going to go out there and
they're going to promote, promote, promote. Are you banking on
those people, because the great experience becomes the next conversation
at the water cooler.

Speaker 2 (13:40):
Absolutely.

Speaker 3 (13:40):
When we launched Crescent nine, our first THAC beverage product,
in New Orleans, we went to.

Speaker 2 (13:45):
Tippetinas, which is one of the best local.

Speaker 3 (13:47):
Note music venues in the entire area and what's honestly
one of the best in the world. And that was
important to us is to know that people who love
music and are already what maybe cannabis users, get out
there and try the product. Because ultimately the best kind
of marketing comes from friends, not from TV, not from
the internet. And that's why we make products that people
love and they tell their friends and it's just kind
of snowball.

Speaker 2 (14:06):
It's been great.

Speaker 1 (14:07):
So now where do people go because I think I
read something over the weekend that you can actually order this,
I mean it and it's not something where you have
I have to travel to you that you can actually
order this.

Speaker 2 (14:19):
Yeah, you can.

Speaker 3 (14:19):
We ship pretty much nationwide Cressingcanada dot com delivered right
to your door, nice little package from North Sun knows.
We're throwing some goodies too if if we're feeling generous
that morning, which we often are, and you know, we
we sell in all all over the country. Really when
Dixie's Low's Foods, we just entered to North Carolina Circle

(14:40):
K Total Wine, I mean, you name it. The whole beverage,
the whole alcoholic beverage industry has opened their doors to
this kind of stuff and they're seeing the profits, they're
seeing the the demand, and they're seeing thing consumers coming
and requested if they don't have it already. I know
that some places like in Minnesota, which for early adoctors
for THHD beverages liquor stories are selling fifteen to twenty

(15:01):
percent of their total sales with THD drinks now, so
it's common everywhere. Target just opened the doors in Minnesota,
and we really expect by the end of this year
to open up major retailers like Walmart, Costco, Sam Slub
and the rest of the major chains that haven't quite
decided to jump on board yet.

Speaker 1 (15:18):
I'm not a doctor. I think I've cleared that up
in the very beginning. I'm not a scientist, but I
will clearly say through experience that my pain pills gone
because I douce this and I relax, my body relaxes
with me, and it's like all those body pains and
complaints and things like that gone gone. And I want
to see the research It says, yes, it will help
you do this. And all I can say right now

(15:39):
is that I'm one I want to hear from here
of this as well.

Speaker 2 (15:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (15:44):
Again, I can't say anything, but I can tell you
what people are telling me, and that is that it
is extremely helpful for a lot of folks. It's definitely
not a cure all. IM not saying hey you casner
go say can CGC medicine. You're going to be fine.

Speaker 2 (15:55):
But it is a helpful addition.

Speaker 3 (15:57):
To a lot of people's lifestyles according to them, yep.

Speaker 1 (16:00):
And since we're going into the holiday season, people need
to add this to their gatherings. So where can they
go to find it?

Speaker 3 (16:09):
Well, Loasfoods Pressingcanada dot com, just about every single small
grocery store that you go to at this point is
going to have a good flesh to teach these stuff.
I can't tell you exactly where we are and every
single one of them because right now we're in about
twelve or thirteen thousand stores nationwide, so I don't have
that all memorize quite yet, and we're adding every day.
But if you keep your eyes up and you're going

(16:29):
to find Crest nine and a Lorea all over the place,
and I guarantee you're going to enjoy it.

Speaker 1 (16:33):
Probably because I'm from Montana as well as Wyoming and
I am here in Carolina, which is very agriculture. Is
this going to open up the door for a new
age of farmers as well?

Speaker 3 (16:43):
It is one of the most profitable crops that a
farmer can grow nowadays, and it's only getting bigger. Hemp
is a fantastic product to grow for a farm. It
pulls heavy metals and passes times out of the soil.
It's a great rotating crops to clean your soil up
and make it more healthy for your other crops and
your Your yield per acre is substantially higher than more

(17:03):
traditional crops, especially with everything that farmers are going through
right now with reduced demand and competition from international farmers
and whatnot.

Speaker 1 (17:14):
Well, I'm just so proud of you guys for doing
this and for sharing this with me because it is
a game changer, and I hope to talk with you
many more times in the future as you continue to
grow forward and offer new flavors as well as new
promotional items.

Speaker 3 (17:27):
Yeah, it has been an absolute pleasure and I hope to.

Speaker 2 (17:30):
Do the same.

Speaker 1 (17:30):
You bet. Will you be brilliant today?

Speaker 2 (17:32):
Okay, mister Joe, Thank you sir.

Speaker 3 (17:35):
And you know what you know? You might not be
a doctor or scientist? Do you sure sound like one
to me?

Speaker 2 (17:40):
Maybe one day?

Speaker 1 (17:40):
Maybe one day, have fun, dude, I have a great day.
