Missed Opportunity. I love sharing conversations, but hosting those conversations
(00:22):
requires a lot of show prep. My podcasting platform features
thousands of guests, and once you don't have access to
are my missed opportunities, the show prep was completed, the
conversation didn't happen. I keep all of my notes because
I believe the paths will cross again. Let me explain
missed opportunity. It's my questions and statements without their answers.
(00:46):
I'm leaving open enough space at the end of every question,
hoping they'll download the talk and insert their answers. And
it has happened four times. Missed opportunity is a lost
piece of history, like a message in a bottle. It's
been tossed out to see I hope to locate that destination.
This week, we're putting focus on my missed Opportunity with
(01:07):
author Gary John Bishop, who in twenty twenty released the
book Why's as asterisk asterik asterisk I'll let you fill
in the blanks. Author Gary John Bishop known for straight
shooting wisdom and advice for facing every one of our obstacles.
His biggest selling book has been On Yourself and Ask
(01:30):
Gary whether it's losing a job, suffering with a broken heart,
or you lack purpose. His books are meant exactly for you.
It's learning how to be wise while taking on other problems.
The new book provides a fresh perspective to helping ourselves
transform now. According to Gary John Bishop, the work doesn't
(01:52):
end there. The invitation to share a conversation with Gary
John Bishop arrived on September twentieth, twenty twenty. How do
you like that? Nine twenty ooh. The conversation was approved
and set for October fourteenth, twenty twenty at ten ten am.
My reply was perfect. Well. On the morning of October fourteenth,
a reminder for the event was sent. They asked me
(02:15):
are you ready? And I said yes. Guess what. The
conversation didn't happen. Gary John Bishop became my missed opportunity.
Coming up next the questions the statements for Gary John Bishop,
Hey Welcome back to Missed Opportunity. This week, our focus
(02:38):
is on my Missed Opportunity with Gary John Bishop. Do
you create a negative sense of behavior before you break
out into your stories because we go through a method
of numbness, and what you're doing is you're bringing out
that authentic little flavor to it. How do we begin
to recognize patterns that have taken over our mind, body,
(02:59):
and souls. Let's talk about triggers. What triggers a destructive cycle?
The role of the subconscious mind? Is it hard to
deal with and is it a deal breaker? I'm guilty
of it acting the way I do, knowing I'm going
to feel like crap later on. You speak the street,
(03:19):
you know the language of the common person. How do
we get beyond that and get to know who that
common person is? We are so guilty of this self sabotage,
the majority of every one of us. We face it
every single day. What can we do to get around
it or beneath it? The truth and my truth they're
(03:40):
not the same. And you go into that. How addicted
to the familiar are we and how can we get
by it so we can trash it? Do we tend
to mess our lives up just so we can be
a hero when it's time to cleaning things up. Waking
up to want to screw things up? Is that a curse?
(04:01):
And is it a career suicide moment? Living life as
our truer self that calls for confidence and less greed here, dude.
So when it really comes down to it, are we
in search of someone to blame? What if it ends
up on us and not them? And there you have it,
(04:22):
my missed opportunity, a lost piece of history. You now
know the questions, so let's locate the reactions. The door
is always going to be open. If you are or no,
Gary John Bishop, please reach out to me at errowc
