though my podcasting platforms feature thousands of guests. What you
don't have access to are my missed opportunities. The show
prep was one hundred percent completed. The conversation m M
didn't happen. I keep all of my notes, and the
reason why is because I believe the paths will cross

(00:42):
one day again. Let me explain missed Opportunity. It's my
questions and statements without their answers. I'm leading open enough
space at the end of every question, hoping they'll download
the talk and insert their answers. It's happened four different times.
Missed Opportunity is a lost piece of history, Like a
message in a bottle, it's been tossed out to see

(01:04):
We hope to locate a destination this week we're putting
our focus on my missed opportunity with singer songwriter Ashley
Bryant from season twenty five of NBC's The Voice. Ashley
Bryant twenty six years old a singer songwriter from Louisville, Kentucky.
She was ready to showcase her gift with the world

(01:27):
on season twenty five of NBC's The Voice. Now getting
past that blind audition would be her key to the
front door of the music industry. It had been a
long journey, starting first with what she describes as a
hidden away talent. I mean, nobody really knows you've got
the ability to sing until one day you start doing
it in high school and people are like, what the

(01:50):
Rather than chase the dream, she kept things very real
by landing a career in the dental field. Well, that
didn't mean that her musical dreams were over. No, no, no, no.
Ashley practiced as often as she could by singing karaoke.
The invitation to share a conversation with Ashley Bryant arrived
on March twenty seventh, twenty twenty four. By April twenty first,

(02:15):
a solid stage was set. We'd get to break bread
on August second, at nine ten am. For about eight
or nine minutes, the zoom link was sent That usually
means ooh, we are ready to rock. That stage has
been set, We're going down. One of my main focus
points would be on her perseverance to reach beyond her

(02:35):
hearing damage. She was injured in a car accident but
retrained herself on how to sing. This is perseverance, dedication, loyalty.
Despite the challenges, she made sure that no walls stood
in the way. On April first, twenty twenty four, three
forty one pm, we received an email that stated that

(02:57):
Ashley was not part of the Voice tour anymore. Coming
up next, my questions my statements with Ashley Bryant from
season twenty five of NBC's The Voice. Hey, welcome back
to Missed Opportunity. This is my missed opportunity with Ashley

(03:17):
Bryant from season twenty five of NBC's The Voice. Here
are the questions Team Reba McIntyre. She can sell the
spots off a leopard? Are you learning how to do this?
The loss of your right ear function, I mean Paul
Stanley of Kiss never let that stand in his way.
To this day he is still a very powerful force

(03:39):
in music, teaching yourself to continue learning music while being
haunted by your hearing. How were you able to step up,
perform and be happy with that moment? Your background has
you in the world of dentistry. I go in there
to receive the great work you guys do. But do

(04:00):
you not ever get tired of seeing a mouth? How
has karaoke actually helped shape your current day performance? Oh,
you made an impact on people in high school. Where
I chose to hide from the chorus class, you chose
to dig in and make a difference. Now, coming from Louisville, Kentucky,

(04:21):
the bread basket of the nation, the blue grass in
the soil, what are you bringing from that atmosphere of
creativity that the rest of the world is going to say?
I got to have a part of that. Twenty six
years old, So many creative people shut down because Bieber
and Cyrus they've already made it? Or have they? Because

(04:42):
the one thing that's missing is you. You sang a
Beyonce song. How do you make it your own the
way that you do? Knowing that Beyonce she could be
listening at any moment, missed opportunity, a lost piece of history.
You now know the questions, so let's locate the reactions.

(05:04):
The door is always going to be open. If you
