Speaker 1 (00:00):
It was one of the greatest love stories of my life.
My nearly thirty four years with Ernie the Blue Crown Conyer.
We were both called to learn life by way of studying.
A collection of trees. The lyrics from Ernie's forest. You
can find them all on Arrow dot net A r
oe dot net. You can find them on the podcast
four Stories, the Choice and View from the writing instrument.
(00:24):
Get to know Ernie while you're enjoying your exploration. Aro
dot net a r r oe dot net. My name
is Arrow. I'm the host of the weekly podcast pod Crashing,
four hundred and twenty nine episodes that connect listeners to
podcast specialists around the world. My goals have always been
to inform our community with subjects that deal with everything
(00:48):
and beyond. Podcast hosts are usually open and always filled
with a spirit that spreads their skills as journalists, medical specialists,
true crime solvers, gamblers, motivators, spiritually, actors, and even their
famous children. There's a podcast for every subject now. This podcast,
Podcrashing one on one has been around since March of
(01:10):
twenty nineteen. The original goal was to put focus on
helping up and coming podcasters to have the right information
about hosting as well as surviving. The idea went about
fifty four episodes before adopting a brand new idea. Dude,
you're talking to podcasters every week, why not include them
inside pod Crashing one on one? So we did. The
(01:34):
purpose of Podcrashing one on one is to help you
build your own platform, to promote it and hopefully earn
some money. Episode number four hundred and twenty nine. iHeartRadio
has announced total commitment to authentic talent versus AI technology
driven podcasts. Speaker has made it a point to ask
(01:54):
every single one of their podcasters if AI technology was used.
Speaker then feeds into the major leagues of platforms such
as iHeartRadio and Spotify, So I ask, are they just
covering their butts or do listeners truly want truth, trust,
and hope of receiving something that isn't propaganda or clickbait.
(02:15):
This one was actually a very fun one to dig
into because the answer is yes. The big leagues of
broadcasting and podcasting who offer platforms for others to spill
their art are legally trying to protect themselves. It adds
in transparency and responsibility. It's not about trying to slow
down AI's technical takeover of the generations. Liability protection is essential.
(02:40):
There are a lot of podcasts and social media posts
that have no problem sharing false information. In truth it
violates copyright laws while triggering privacy and security issues. Just
no regulations require a full disclosure. The number of states
getting involved are on the rise right now. You should
(03:01):
expect even more changes in the days ahead. The question
is how are you going to react? Hey, coming up next,
I'm not sure what digital platform you're using to put
your podcasts on, but there's a huge chance that you've
got a new day sitting right in front of you
do to AI technology. Hey, thanks for coming back to
(03:24):
podcrashing one on one. Now, I'm not sure what digital
platform that you're using to put your podcasts on to display,
but there's a huge chance that they're probably asking you
how you use AI technology. Companies like iHeartRadio are taking
the message to listeners and advertisers in the way of
saying we're on this. This is Corporate America's way of
(03:46):
saying we aren't liable. But what does that have to
do with copyright? The images, the voices, and the messages
didn't come from the owner of the podcast. AI physically
pulls from everything. If AI use infringes on someone else's rights,
you can actually get sued the big brothers of podcasting
(04:08):
or asking did you run extra checks? Do you have
permission to use this site or this sound? When you
say yes to using AI technology, you're pretty much saying
I accept responsibility. The goal is to not only protect
your brand, but these amazing companies such as iHeart and Spotify,
(04:31):
what they've done is they've developed a relationship with you
to keep you ahead of the digital game by keeping
you in touch with legal safety, copyright protections, regulatory compliances,
and protection of your images. So yes, they are covering
their butts while adopting a new world where AI generated
content is being looked upon as being a potential of
(04:54):
their being a much bigger problem. I'm MARYW and that's
