not making the right choice? Is it a fear of
going wrong? The greatest lessons in life are often lost
inside hidden away attempts and concepts. Well, it's time to

daily mess. We live in a society of choices, one
of them being the choice to eat right, and while
moving through that daily expectation instead of challenges, those doing
(02:15):
what they think is eating right aren't shy to promote
what the rest of us are doing wrong. So why
does someone eating right, make the choice to judge outsiders.
Mental health experts say it's connected to validation, feelings of
being better than, and the infamous perfectionism. It's actually a
disorder called orthorexia nervosa. Bragging about what's eating healthy is
(02:40):
a form of deflection. They talk heavily about eating right
because it's keeping them away from things that they really
truly need to deal with. Insecurity is a huge road sign.
Here's the tough part. People who think they're doing it
right may not be as healthy as they think. Doctors
say that overestimating your diet is not a healthy situation.
(03:01):
There's a huge difference between having a perception of what
eating right is versus what nutritionalists say is truly eating right.
Bragging about eating right isn't seen as a positive. It's
competitive and it's shaming those people around you. I'm Merril,
and that's the daily mess.
