Speaker 1 (00:00):
When it's extremely difficult to make up your mind. Having
that power of choice can actually weaken a person's heart.
On this episode, we're going to explore why we've made
venting acceptable on social media? Is the Big Internet Monster
really the place to make the voice to dump your
personal observations? My name is Errol. Life is a series
of choices. Who decides when you're not making the right choice?

(00:22):
Is it a fear of going wrong? The greatest lessons
in life are often lost inside hidden away attempts and concepts. Well,
it's time to open up your heart. Having a real
choice is your daily gift. On this highway, we learn
to trust mirages, good or bad. Why are people making
the choice to vent on social media? Well, according to

(00:43):
mental health experts, a person's actions in such a public
place determine their intentions, their audience, and how they handle
the response. Social media is the instant outlet, people releasing
their frustrations without needing to make a call or meeting
up with someone they I know. Sadly, though, this is
good and bad because it may allude to you losing

(01:05):
your position at work. I get it. You want validation
and support. You're creating attention and connection. In many cases
it can be community building. It feels a very important
void when it comes to not having a list of
close friends, family, and or therapy. It has been written
that social media has become what they call a default journal,

(01:27):
a place to clean out your mental closets, a stage
to be seen as well as heard a brief moment
of emotions. But what is the total cost to having
such openness? Are the right people reading your posts? The
choice is up to the right as well as the
left side. Coming up next, posting personal observations on social media,

(01:52):
ay Yi yai, yai yi, Hey, thanks for coming back
to the choice. Posting personal observations and experiences on social
media has its fair share of pros and cons. Knowing
both sides of the picket fence, will it change the
course of how we make choices in front of the
social media world. Let's begin with why it's good to

(02:14):
post your thoughts and expressions. It reduces stress. Number two,
you're able to get emotional support from others. Making the
choice to post normalizes a person's struggles, showing others that
they aren't alone. More importantly, it could spark up a
great conversation about mental health. A bad job or social issues.

(02:37):
So what are the downsides of making the choice to
vent on social media? Number one, oversharing can backfire. Once
out there, that's it, you can't pull it back. Number two,
people are really good at misinterpreting other people's thoughts. You're
opening yourself up for criticism. You really can damage your reputation.

(03:00):
As hard as you try to make everything better, your
past can actually come back and fuel a serious negative
in your present. Making that choice to post on social
media is very risky. Be aware of what you're doing.
It is a choice. I'm Eryl, and that's what I
was writing while the sun was waking up on a
brilliant new day.
