Speaker 1 (00:00):
It all started with a car commercial back in twenty
twelve for Camaro. They were bragging about having Wi Fi
in the dash of their car. All of a sudden,
I was no longer interested in terrestrial radio. There was
a new adventure. It was called streaming podcasting. It has
become a way of life. Aero dot net, Arroe dot net,
(00:22):
seventeen different podcasts to choose from. Enjoy your exploration when
it's extremely difficult to make up your mind, having that
power of choice can actually weaken a person's heart. On
this episode of the Choice, we're going to explore the
importance of investing more in self motivated ambitions than teamwork.
Plus the choice to show up at work on time.
(00:46):
What signals are you truly sitting out? My name is Erro.
Life is a series of choices. I mean, who decides
when you're not making the right choice? And is it
a fear of something going wrong? The greatest lessons in
life are often lost in hidden away attempts and concepts. Well,
it's time to reopen your heart. Having that power of
(01:06):
choice is your daily gift. On this highway, we're going
to learn how to trust mirages. What is the choice?
What kind of signal are we truly sending out when
we do make that choice to show up at work
on time? First, I was very shocked to see what
the experts are saying about a choice like this. They
(01:28):
look at it as being a small action. What showing
up at work on time is seen as a small action?
But but, but it does send out a very big signal.
Being on time at work is a sign of respect
for the people that work with you. It says a
(01:48):
lot of things about your commitment to the work itself.
It's also a signal of reliability. It says to those
around you that, hey, you can count on me. My
choice is seen as the most valuable trait at the workplace.
In fact, one business leader clearly states that making the
choice to show up on time is more valuable than
(02:10):
having talent itself, to which I do ask. I thought
we started this off by saying that making the choice
to show up at work on time was a small action,
and then to come back and say that it's more
valuable than talent. Okay, I'm a little bit confused here.
When you are on time, that is self discipline, It's
true professionalism. It shows intent as well as ownership. It's
(02:35):
a quiet signal with a very loud meaning. Hey, coming
up next, reaching outward in the way of honoring self
motivated ambitions and goals. Does that go against teamwork? Hey?
Welcome back to the choice. Making that choice to reach
(02:55):
out in the way of honoring your self motivated ambitions
and goals. Is that good or bad when it comes
to making a choice, don't even think this puts a
bad ding or dint in your great push to utilize
the strength of teamwork. Self motivation is healthier than what
most people know. The entire teamwork mentality should never get
(03:18):
in the way of your individual driven spirit. Such a
choice is life, its purpose. It's filled with dreams and
inner fire. Self motivated ambitions are not an act of selfishness.
Look at the choice. It is an act of creating fuel.
Teams that work together do so when you incorporate your
(03:39):
identity and direction into the equation. Too many people get
ambition and ego absolutely wrong. They are not one and
the same. The only time that self motivated choices are
wrong is when you undermine other people. You take credit
for everything you believe more in yourself than the ambition
(04:00):
of a team. The choice is not about competing but
rather collaborating. You are allowed to have personal goals. It
is a choice. I'm Marril and that's what I was
writing while the sun was waking up on a brilliant
new day
