I’m always asking questions.  The fun begins when you start researching for answers. Such as…   The Bible talks about forty days and forty nights…is it the same as our forty days and forty nights?  Plus…what is it about life that gives off this perception of there being no brakes?    I’m Arroe…  I am a daily writer.  A silent wolf.  I stand on the sidelines and do nothing but watch, listen study then activate.  I call it The Daily Mess.  A chronological walk through an everyday world.  Yes, it’s my morning writing.  As a receiver of thoughts and ideas, we as people tend to throw it to the side and deal with it later.  When a subject arrives, I dig in.  It’s still keeping a journal!  By doing the research the picture becomes clearer.  This is the Daily Mess…

Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's all in one location. Ero dot net a r
r oe dot net. I've talked about hosting seventeen different
podcasts for how many years, and it's been like, well,
where are they at? I don't know, just google it. Well,
that's not a good idea ero dot net, a r
r oe dot net. I'm always asking questions. The reason
why is because the fund begins when you start researching

(00:20):
for answers such as the Bible talks about forty days
and forty nights. Is it the same as our forty
days and forty nights? Plus? What is it about life
that gives off this perception that there are no breaks?
I'm spelling breaks both ways b r a k e
s and b r e a k s. My name
is Arrow. I'm a daily writer, a silent wolf. I

(00:42):
stand on the sidelines and do nothing but watch, listen,
and study, then activate. I happen to call it the
daily Mess, a chronological walk through an everyday world. Yeah,
it's my morning writing as a receiver of thoughts and ideas.
We as people tend to throw things to the side
because we think we're gonna deal with it later on.
How about that thing you started about six and a
half years ago. Did you get to it yet this weekend? Right?

(01:04):
All right? Okay, good good, I'm proud of you. Okay.
When a subject arrives inside of me, I know it's
time to dig in. It's still keeping that daily journal.
But by doing the research, the picture becomes clearer. This
is the daily mess. The forty days and forty nights
talked about in the Big Book. Are they equivalent to

(01:24):
what we experience in forty days and forty nights today?
The answer yes, but but, but but but In Hebrew culture,
any part of the day counted as a day. If
something began in the afternoon and ended the next morning,
that in itself was two days. There's a symbolic meaning
to all of this. It represents a period of testing, preparation,

(01:48):
and transformation. While it's a real time frame, it holds
a much deeper meaning, a complete time of trial and purification.
Ancient Hebrew months where usually based on twenty nine to
thirty days, forty days and forty nights wasn't seen as
a single month. Why then, does it feel faster today?
Forty days and forty nights is nothing compared to already

(02:11):
being three quarters of the way through this year. The
reason why it feels like forty days flying by today
is due to psychological, cultural, and technological factors rather than
any physical change on how long a day really is.
No matter what, keep telling yourself, We're always going to
have twenty four hours, not twenty three, not twenty one,

(02:35):
not twenty five, twenty four hours coming up next. Why
does it feel like it's moving so fast? What are
we doing wrong? Hey? Thanks for coming back to the
daily mess. We've been putting our focus on the infamous
forty days and forty nights that are featured inside the Bible.

(02:56):
There are so many things to learn about this moment
in history, as well as our own history and our
own everyday walks. They keep picking up from where we
left off yesterday. Our physical perception of time changes as
we age. Each year becomes a much smaller fraction of
our total life. When you're ten years old, that's only

(03:16):
ten percent of your life. Therefore, life feels like, oh
my god, it's forever. Just get me through high school please.
When you're fifty years old, that's two percent of your life,
and the events feel extremely shorter. This makes time seem
to move a lot faster, even though it's really still
just twenty four hours in a single day. Technology is

(03:39):
a constant stimulation. Rapid information notification and tasks shift our focus,
making it feel like we have less time for real
reflection or memory formation. A busy life is a blurred path.
Let me say that one more time, because I wanted
to sink into my own soul. A busy life is

(03:59):
a a blurred path. Being constantly connected compresses our sense
of time. The best way to slow down time is
to break your routine, create marker memories, and that in
itself will generate new experiences. I'm Marrow, and that's the
daily mess.
