Speaker 1 (00:00):
I'm always asking questions, and the reason why is because
the fund begins when you start researching for answers, such
as a quote from thriller chiller writer Stephen King, that
has the strength to add impact to how you think. Plus,
when it comes to news headlines, being a junkie is
one thing, but how many times do you have to

(00:20):
fall off the wagon? My name is Arrow. I'm a
daily writer, a silent wolf. I stand on the sidelines
and do nothing but watch, listen, study, then activate. I
happen to call it the daily Mess, a chronological walk
through an everyday world. Yeah, it's my morning pages. As
a receiver of thoughts and ideas, we as people tend
to throw things to the side because we think we're

(00:40):
going to deal with it later. When a subject arrives
inside of me, I know it's time to dig in.
It's still keeping that daily journal, but by doing the research,
the picture becomes clearer. This is the daily Mess. On
a recent Stephen King documentary, he openly admitted that writing
requires byers thinking. Thinking is something that you must learn,

(01:05):
not like learning how to walk, but we must learn
how to think, which then affects the way that we write.
Experts aren't shocked to hear something like this from the
thriller Chiller author. In his memoir, he unveils the principles
that reflect a hard working mindset, a product of effort.
Stephen King believes the quality of writing comes from conscious,

(01:26):
consistent effort, not from your talent. Number two, thinking is
a refined process. King advises his writers to dig into
the story, be like an archaeologist, and locate a relic.
He believes that your first writing draft should be brought
to life behind closed doors. It's a very intimate and

(01:48):
very uninterruptible process that allows you to hold onto truthful
expressions and finally look at your revisions as being work.
That's what it is. It's work. But do the revisions
with the doors open. Anatine is the most painful part
of writing, but it's necessary. It requires thinking. You can

(02:09):
learn to do it without having to learn how to
walk all over again. Hey, coming up next, those headlines?
We are addicted to them. How do we break free again? Hey?
Welcome back to the daily mess? Well, here we go again.
Just when you had a stronger grip on keeping the

(02:29):
news headlines away, a sudden shift in history has forced
a lot of news headline junkies to fall off the wagon.
The newsreels just don't give us enough time to pick
ourselves up and sort the events out. It's almost like
a journalist saying this is a B, C and D
and it equals Z. You have to believe it. I've

(02:49):
done the research. The unscientific, unrehearsed endeavor is right there.
But now so many people are starting to wander around
like zombies. There's a lot of doom scrolling going on,
and the mental hangovers we're feeling aren't a figment of
our imaginations. Remember to break free of the news world.

(03:10):
Set up appointments, establish news free zones, consider a news
detox when you are feeling overwhelmed, creat enough space to
take that break. It has to be from all views,
not just the streaming platforms that kind of upset you.
The goal is to practice mindful media consumption. Ask yourself,

(03:33):
is this really something that you need to put into
your life right now? It's news? Why do you need
it be apparent to your inner child? I'm Marrow and
that's the daily mess
