I’m always asking questions.  The fun begins when you start researching for answers. Such as…   Is it good or bad that we’ve built our lifestyle around the family dog or cat?  Plus…facing the negatives of being trapped in a pet relationship.    I’m Arroe…  I am a daily writer.  A silent wolf.  I stand on the sidelines and do nothing but watch, listen study then activate.  I call it The Daily Mess.  A chronological walk through an everyday world.  Yes, it’s my morning writing.  As a receiver of thoughts and ideas, we as people tend to throw it to the side and deal with it later.  When a subject arrives, I dig in.  It’s still keeping a journal!  By doing the research the picture becomes clearer.  This is the Daily Mess…

Speaker 1 (00:00):
As a podcast listener, where do you go to get
those stories that you can tap into on your time?
You know, having that power of choice. That's the reason
why I created a r Roe dot net ero dot
net so that you do have a power of choice.
Maybe you don't want to talk to a foody expert today,
maybe you want to talk with an ia author the

(00:20):
power of choice. Enjoy the exploration. I'm always asking questions.
The reason why is because the fund begins when you
start doing the research for answers such as is it
good or bad that we've built our lifestyle around the
family dog or cat? Plus facing the negatives of being
trapped inside a pet relationship. My name is Arrow. I'm

(00:45):
a daily writer, a silent wolf. I stand on the
sidelines and do nothing but watch, listen, study, then activate.
I happen to call it the daily Mess, a chronological
walk through an everyday world. Yeah, it's what I write
in the morning as a receiver of thoughts and ideas as.
People tend to throw things to the side because we
assume we're going to deal with it later on. How

(01:05):
you doing so far? What about that event that you
planned about three or four weeks ago? You get to it.
Yet when a subject arrives inside of me, I know
it's time to dig in. It's still keeping that daily journal,
but by doing the research, the picture becomes clearer. This
is the daily mess my wife and I are extremely
guilty of readjusting our entire life and expectations around our

(01:29):
family dog, Jazzy the disaster artists. Is this a healthy decision? Well,
it took no time for mental health experts to chime
in on this one. It can be healthy to build
your life and google calendar around your dog. It's healthy
until it's not healthy, which is kind of an oxymoron, right,

(01:50):
It's healthy until it's not healthy. Building your decision making
around the four legged fuzzy child comes from something that
is genuinely good. Loyalty, routine, responsibility, companionship as well as purpose.
Dogs thrive on structure. You know what that means. That
means more dog walks, more consistency, more emotional grounding. First,

(02:12):
let's look at why creating a schedule around your dog
is actually very healthy Psychologically. Your pet adds meaning not pressure.
Dogs support human emotions, but there's nothing that replaces human connection.
The care that we share is seen as well as
felt as being loving. Now what makes it unhealthy is
too much human life is being set aside. Our stress

(02:34):
levels hit increased volumes because we can't seem to fit
the dog in. Dogs can become our primary emotional regulator,
and many humans feel physically trapped inside that relationship. Hey,
coming up next. Now that we know the ins and
outs of how healthy or unhealthy it is to build
a relationship with a dog, what about the rest of

(02:56):
our lives? Thanks for coming back to the daily mess.
Now that we know the ins and outs in how
healthy or unhealthy it is to build your day and
night around the family dog, the question comes up, how
do we know that we're not going overboard with our
puppy love. Well, it starts with a gut check. If
your free little baby wasn't here tomorrow, would your life

(03:20):
feel empty? My god, that's a heavy one. Would you
feel empty if your fuzzy baby wasn't here with you tomorrow?
Or would you still feel fulfilled except a little different?
Losing a dog isn't the problem. Mental health leaders point
to your balance in life, the bond that you have
with your dog. Is it healthy or are you losing

(03:43):
the center of your dependency? Dogs have a way of
getting inside our hearts when your schedule doesn't include them.
Do you feel like that you're neglecting that baby? Guilty
as charged. Will drive several miles home just to pick
up our little fuzzy baby and then take her for
a walk through home depot and Low's because she likes them.

(04:05):
It's a treat. Be open and be very honest with
your entire true self. Adult, empty nesters and creative humans
need that connection with a fuzzy baby, be it a dog,
a bird, or a cat. So how are you playing
it out? I'm Marrow and that's the daily mess.
