Speaker 1 (00:00):
I'm always asking questions because the fund begins when you
start researching for answers such as how common is it
to get a neck injury while at work? Plus which
generation has had it the hardest. My name is Erro.
I'm a daily writer, a silent wolf. I stand on
the sidelines and do nothing but watch, listen, study, then activate.

(00:22):
I call it the daily Mess, a chronological walk through
an everyday world. Yep, it's my morning pages. As a
receiver of thoughts and ideas, we as people tend to
throw things to the side because we think we're going
to deal with it later. Well, when a subject arrives
inside of me, I know it's time to dig in.
It's still keeping that daily journal, but by doing the research,

(00:42):
the picture becomes clearer. This is the daily Mess. How
common is it to experience a neck injury while at work?
Twenty three point eighty six percent of all such injuries
are related to your job. This is based on a
study that analyzed just over seventeen thousand workers. Because I've
chosen to be with my community at a grocery store,

(01:05):
it's not if I get injured, it's when I get injured.
I respect people in retail not only for the long hours,
but the enormous amount of required lifting, twisting, walking, and
pulling things toward you. But in this study, retail wasn't
the top dog when it comes to neck injuries. Sitting
at your desk in an offices, prolonged computer use has

(01:27):
led many employees to huge neck pains. It's due to
bad posture and repetitive motions. There are multiple studies dealing
with workplace neck injuries. One is focused on the physical
and psychological effects. Women have more neck injuries than men.
My wife says it's because men are pain in the neck.

(01:48):
Such studies as this are designed to help businesses create interventions,
which includes working with a physical therapist. Yeah, they've created
apps now and they want to use it. Hey, coming
up next, which generation has had it the hardest? Hey,
thanks for coming back to the daily mess. So which
generation has had it the hardest? My mother used to

(02:11):
speak of the tough walk through what was called the
silent generation, you know, the time period between the two
World wars. But can her experiences be compared to other
valley floors, such as the challenges that we're facing in
these modern days. One study suggests that raising children today
is far worse than any other generation, but many argue
with that due to what one researcher says, the tough

(02:33):
times are based on personal observation, which was their way
of saying, there's more physical and mental health for families
today than any other time in history. But what if
you were a parent during the day of the atom bomb?
How about someone who was raised during the helicopter parenting generation.
One mental health expert encourages families to stop thinking about

(02:54):
who's got it worse, but rather how can we work
on making it better, learn from the struggles, and always
grow forward. I'm harrow, and that's the daily mess.
