I’m always asking questions.  The fun begins when you start researching for answers. Speaker 1 (00:00):
Okay, So for all these years have said, hey, if
you're looking for a great podcast, just google me Arrowcollins,
And then all of a sudden you find yourself on
a streaming platform and can't figure out where anything is.
He said he was talking to this person. But okay,
So what I've done is I've centralized it. Now ARO
dot net, a r E dot net, all seventeen of
my podcasts are up there for you to enjoy. I'm

(00:21):
always asking questions. The reason why is because the fund
starts when you're researching for answers such as with so
many major corporations downsizing their workforce, how does it really
sit with decision makers who set those employees free? Plus
what can a former employee do in these modern AI
times to keep their head above water. My name is Arrow.

(00:44):
I'm a daily writer, a silent wolf. I stand on
the sidelines and do nothing but watch, listen, study, then activate.
I happen to call it the Daily Mess, a chronological
walk through an everyday world. Yeah, it's my morning pages.
As a receiver of thoughts and ideas, we as people
tend to throw things to the side because we think
we're gonna deal with it later on. Okay, let me

(01:06):
know when you get started with that. All right, how
you doing so far? Did you get started yet? Okay?
I'll patiently wait. Well, when a subject arrives inside of me,
I know it's time to dig in. It's still keeping
that daily journal, but by doing the research, the picture
becomes clearer. This is the daily mess with so many

(01:27):
very important companies physically downsizing their workforce right now? How
do decision makers personally handle the physical termination of their
staff and are still able to live with those choices?
While we start with this, know in your heart that
mass terminations do hit business leaders right in the heart.

(01:49):
Mental health experts openly admit the weight of the world
isn't being lifted off their shoulders. Mass terminations hit a
department leader emotionally as well as ethically. The majority of
all company downsizing is extremely personal as well as stressful.
Those in charge experience guilt, sadness, and even a sense

(02:12):
of betrayal. Leaders are torn between long term visions versus
the current decisions. Making such a move injures morale. Bosses
are not sleeping well at night. They're experiencing anxiety. Their
heads and their hearts are full of instant replays of

(02:33):
how their creative team digested the company's cutbacks. I mean,
let's look at the truth here. Okay, a great boss
can become a very bad person in the blink of
an eye. How would you be able to handle it?
Many leaders can't. Coming up next, With so many major
companies cutting back, what is the former employee to do

(02:56):
to keep their head above water? Hey, thanks for coming
back to the daily mess. So, with many major companies
doing their cutbacks, which they do every year at this time,
what can former employees do to keep their head above water?
So many emotions and changes sit at the feet of

(03:17):
those affected as well as infected. If this has happened
to you, or you fear it's about to become your reality,
do all you can to put your focus on total control.
You are not powerless. First of all, don't wait till
the last minute. Update your resume, take online courses to

(03:38):
upscal your value, and do all you can to stay visible.
But whatever you do, don't ignore your mental load. Train
yourself to limit doom scrolling. Have a daily structure, create
a routine that invites stability, and don't forget to talk
about it. Naming the stress mentally does wonders. Don't think

(04:02):
of it as being an act of trying to survive.
It's seen as transformation. Transitioning. Yeah, it's about pivoting into
a position that's more stable. Layoffs don't define worth. It's
corporate restructuring. They've got the problem you don't. This is

(04:22):
their failed journey, not yours. There's no reason for you
to walk through the valley of personal failures. In fact,
I want to jump into something and this is total
ad lib here. I want to go back to You
don't need to feel like you are powerless. You do
have a voice, and you've got to be able to
create some sort of routine. What I did in twenty

(04:43):
fifteen when a major broadcasting corporation went basically into bankruptcy
and they had to start eliminating everybody is I wrote
a prayer every single morning. That was the very first
thing that I did. And if you don't think that
that didn't change the entire landscape of how my day
was beginning. Now, you don't have to believe in religion,
you don't have to believe in the universe, you don't
have to do anything like that. Just put something positive

(05:05):
on paper and get your day started. That way. As
for what we're doing with this AI technology infested world
and what you need to do with your personal structure,
what you need to start thinking about are the EEDBD
things in life that can lead you to the success
that you need to find without having to be trapped
inside culture as well as corporate behavior. Corporations are always

(05:28):
going to be there, but what they need are people.
You know you're strong, you know your abilities. Make it happen.
Don't let them win. Remember they've got the problem. They're
the ones that are having to cut back because someone
on their team failed them and it wasn't you. I'm Errow,

(05:49):
and that's the daily mess.
