Speaker 1 (00:00):
As a podcast listener, where do you go to get
those stories that you can tap into on your time?
You know, having that power of choice. That's the reason
why I created a R r Oe dot net ero
dot net so that you do have a power of choice.
Maybe you don't want to talk to a foody expert today,
maybe you want to talk with an ia author the
(00:20):
power of choice, enjoy the exploration Aiden. Congratulations on such
an amazing I mean an amazing journey because you're doing
things with your vocals and presentation that is going to
open up doors that I'll tell you what. We can't
predict it, but I just know that you're on your
way to someplace very special.
Speaker 2 (00:41):
Thank you so much.
Speaker 3 (00:41):
Ben.
Speaker 2 (00:42):
You know, I'm still like taking it all in.
Speaker 4 (00:43):
It's such a full circle moment for me, Like we've
been watching the shows in season one when I was
six years old, and now I freaking won the darn thing,
and so definitely trying to just process this whole moment
and also just come after the holidays just hit the
ground running with this whole music thing.
Speaker 3 (00:58):
I've got a song coming out super Suing that I'm
excited to share with the world. I'm really excited to
share with the world. And then also, you know, it's
the holidays. It's just such a special time of year.
Just spend a family and drink hot chocolate and eat
candy canes and whatever.
Speaker 2 (01:14):
I'm really excited to just share this special time with them.
Speaker 1 (01:16):
And yet, Aiden, I got to give you guys and
NBC's The Voice some kudos what you guys did with
that entire Christmas special. You're talking about the stress of
the holidays. What you did in that two hour period
was you took away the stress. We sat there, we
experienced the music, the excitement, We saw it in your eyes.
We saw family is what we did.
Speaker 2 (01:38):
Oh yeah, I love that.
Speaker 3 (01:39):
Yeah, it's absolutely, like absolutely what it is like the Voice.
Family is like something that will never leave me, like
the staff, the coaches, the people on the show, people
from previous seasons. Like it's just such an incredible community
that I'm fortunate to be a part of, like win
or lose, Like I would definitely want to use it
as a resource just to have, like just to.
Speaker 2 (01:59):
Be able to leave in the near future.
Speaker 3 (02:01):
But yeah, I'm really glad that we were able to
serve as that for a lot of people because that's
even what it was for me, you know, like just
to do like kind of like the holiday special, like
but like with the Christmas trees go around and like,
oh man, like this is is just like my favorite holiday,
like my two favorite things in the world in one,
like Christmas and the Voice and boom you got Christmas
(02:23):
the Voice, and so it was just like and Jeff
won the Dawn thing.
Speaker 2 (02:27):
While it was like that was just which fit cool.
Speaker 3 (02:30):
Well.
Speaker 1 (02:30):
You You've always come across as not not over confident
or with lots of courage. You've always been that guy
that says, I'm gonna sing the best that I can.
I'm going to share with you what was given to me.
I mean, there's just something about you that says you're
that guy next door that made it. And it's like,
oh my god, it's like he's the dude.
Speaker 2 (02:52):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (02:52):
I definitely started to get that a little bit come
up after the vinyl dish is being called Station Texas
like super I'm super super blad to have such a
strong community that's like tight knit but also big and
like just very loving and support of that aggie network.
It's called Station Vibe, and so people would be kind
of like that to me, they're like wow, like you're
the guy that was on the show. It's like a
(03:14):
really cool feeling to be so like seen and loved
and supported by a community like I feel so reinforced.
Speaker 2 (03:18):
It definitely couldn't have done it without them.
Speaker 1 (03:20):
With that new song on the way, do you find
yourself using the tools that you picked up on NBC's
The Voice as a way of Because it's about promoting,
you've got to put yourself in positions where the people
are just to make sure that they know where you
are and how they can pass you forward on their
music lists.
Speaker 2 (03:38):
On promotion, It's definitely been something that I've done a
lot better at.
Speaker 3 (03:42):
I think another thing too is just like throughout the
process of the show, like the competition, the way it
is like having to take a song and rip it
apart and put it back together and just like give
everything I have to it. And that's really helped me
in my own artistry and some final touches that I've
made on the song that's really going to take the
song to another level just resonate with people.
Speaker 1 (04:01):
Hopefully, please do not move. There's more with Aiden Ross
coming up next. He just won NBC's the voice. We
are back with Aiden Ross. So I got to ask
you a personal question here, Aid, and only because I've
I've been blessed with the opportunity to spend four decades
in radio, and I've seen a lot of performers come
through that door. Are you the next generation blue eyed
(04:23):
soul boy A Michael Bolton of sorts, A Michael bou Blaze,
someone that is really you? I mean, because when you
sing from the soul, holy crap, I'm feeling everything that
you're sharing on this side of the flat screen.
Speaker 2 (04:36):
Oh man, I'm not sure.
Speaker 3 (04:38):
For me, something I thought about in the competition, at
least it was less about like whether I thought I
was gonna make it to the next round and more
so of whether I wanted to, And obviously I wanted
to more than anything. And I think it's the same
thing with this, and it's like it's less about for
me whether or not and more so I want it.
Speaker 2 (04:53):
And like that was how it was for me for
the show.
Speaker 3 (04:55):
It was like like I wanted to win, like I wanted,
I had to go and take it. And so that's
what I'm gonna have to do with everything else too,
with music, Like I'm ready to give it everything I
have and just see if the world accepts me.
Speaker 1 (05:07):
Let's put some focus on that song everything and more.
And the reason why is because I want listeners to
understand that this was not just a moment on television
for you, that you've been busting tailed the entire way
to get to this moment of now.
Speaker 2 (05:20):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (05:20):
Being from Colverstation, Texas, it's hard to just like find
like producers that like would work super well with me.
So I had to actually like work on that song
remotely with a producer.
Speaker 2 (05:31):
And I did it write before the show. The song
was very special to me.
Speaker 3 (05:34):
I was super thankful to release that as my first
ever single before the show. It holds a very special
place in my part. It's like the first song I've released.
There's another song that I'll be releasing. I had been
writing like since I had been writing everything and more
so since then, it's just gotten all that much more
love and time worked on and time just like just
(05:55):
yeah yeah, time to time, just like thought on and
just like dwelled on.
Speaker 2 (05:58):
And now I think this one's gonna be strong.
Speaker 3 (06:00):
I think I loved everything and more, but this song,
I think, really I think now I just have learned
so much more about myself as a person and as
an artist from the show, especially just watching myself on
the show, that this song, this new song really just
perfectly encapsulates where I am as an artist right now
and as a person.
Speaker 1 (06:17):
Well, there was once a thing that Nile brought out
on the show this past week, and that was is
that I mean he he openly admitted that he's taken
people out on tour. Are you ready to go out
on tour with him? Because he takes his winners everywhere.
He's so proud of you guys.
Speaker 2 (06:31):
Man, if he does a tour, I'm absolutely ready.
Speaker 3 (06:34):
I've got songs in the vault, and I'm also I'm
also all right it didn't cover so whatever he needs
me for him get him. Wow.
Speaker 1 (06:41):
Was it odd that he didn't get to sing that night?
Because I was hoping that the two of you would
have done a do it of some tour. Was that
even in the plans? Because I want to hear you
sing together?
Speaker 3 (06:50):
It was not in the plans in a sense of
like he got it was in the sorry, actually, let
me rephrase that, it wasn't the plans, but he got
extremely sick, like praisey sick, and so that was just
something that we had to like work through.
Speaker 2 (07:06):
I wouldn't say it was odd. It was more so
just a bummer.
Speaker 3 (07:09):
But like, no, no hard feelings toward Nile at all.
Speaker 2 (07:12):
Like the man was sick.
Speaker 3 (07:14):
I don't know what to I don't know what else
to say, Like he was feeling terrible. He powered through,
and he's honestly a rock for powering through the way
he did.
Speaker 2 (07:23):
I have I have no I have no hard feelings
towards him at all.
Speaker 3 (07:25):
I know we'll be seeing in the future together anyway,
So I'm not worried about it.
Speaker 1 (07:29):
Yeah, because I mean you as a musician, now that
you've experienced that, that should tell your soul that no
matter how cold the weather is or you're not feeling well,
this show must go on. Be a part of it anyhow,
and and just and just make it happen.
Speaker 3 (07:43):
Yeah, yeah, absolutely, That's something that I had to do
with the show again, just like and not in like
a cocky way, but like if you if you want something,
you got to go and take it. Like I never
want to get in the way of my own dreams again,
and so like with this music and like if I
want to make it a music like like he can't
he can't be passed.
Speaker 2 (07:59):
If you can't let it come to you, you have
to take it.
Speaker 3 (08:01):
You have to be assertive and you have to advocate
for yourself, and you have to want things, and you
have to like show people that you are the real deal.
Speaker 2 (08:08):
And that's something that I think I'm finally ready to do.
Speaker 1 (08:10):
So now are you preparing for the way that? And
this is not a knock on the younger generation, it's
just that they don't don't seem to put in the
full name when they're listening to somebody. I just I
can just hear someone saying, now, hey, you see who
want to NBC's the voice. It was Aid, It was Aid,
and it just it just feels like that everybody's just
doing abbreviations. Are you prepared for that or do we
need to just drive it in Aiden Ross, Aiden Ross,
(08:32):
Get the full name in there when you're talking about
Aiden Ross.
Speaker 2 (08:36):
You know, like, my name is Aiden Ross and that
is just like what it is.
Speaker 3 (08:40):
If the world really if a guy named Aid buzz
up and that guy name aids me, like I'm all
game for it, you know, But like the name believe me.
Speaker 2 (08:49):
Like the name is Aiden Ross.
Speaker 1 (08:51):
Where can people go to find out more about you?
And I want to set something up to talk to
you about your new song when you release it, because
it's about all of us working together to keep your
promotion growing forward.
Speaker 2 (09:03):
Thank you so much.
Speaker 3 (09:04):
Yeah, so my tax is just Aiden Ross Music across
all platforms. I'm acative on Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram and YouTube,
so you can always catch me on any of those.
Speaker 1 (09:13):
Well, please come back to this show anytime in the future.
Speaker 2 (09:15):
Aiden.
Speaker 1 (09:16):
This is the second time you've been here, so you
know that doors wide open. Dude.
Speaker 2 (09:20):
Thank you so much, man, I appreciate it.
Speaker 1 (09:22):
Will you be brilliant today?
Speaker 2 (09:24):
Okay, yes, sir, thank you so much for you.
Speaker 1 (09:27):
Thank you
