I thank you from the death of my heart for

Speaker 1 (03:41):
I thank you. I tell you it is truly an
honor and a privilege to be able to, you know,
share individual's journey. I know this journey has not been
easy for you, but yet you press and I want
you to share with those that are tuned in and
those that we hear the replay, just a little bit
(04:03):
about your journey. How did we get here today?
Speaker 3 (04:08):
You're so right. This has been one of the most
challenging journeys, you know, but I still praise God forward
the journey through it all. It started many many years ago.
I actually went to school for broadcast journalism, and through
you know, having my family, my children, relocation, life became
very challenging, I must say, and here it is, I mean,
(04:31):
years years, years later. Communication is what I love to do.
I love to pray. I am a prayer warrior, prayer intercessor.
I just love praying and worshiping God. And so through
all of the sicknesses. I mean, I was baling breast
cancer and when the doctor said, you know, all is
(04:53):
stage four, but the God that we serve, he said, no,
it's stage two. And they went back to look for
the tumor. You know what, I thank god, nine years
they still can't tell where it came from. So I said,
what it was. It was just a limb that had
to fall off, and it fell off, and I, thank God,
(05:14):
had so much illnesses and death going on in the family,
and I knew through all of that is you know,
a place called through, And it's not so much of
the going through all the time, but it's after that
through what happens when you come through. So that's what
my life story is all about. And I just so
desire to tell the world that yes, when you go through,
(05:38):
you can get through it. And together we make the difference.
Speaker 1 (05:42):
Wow, that's amazing understanding when people understand that we're going
to go through some things, but we're also going to
get through those things. But how we go through it
is a thing. So how have you been able to
(06:05):
get through?
Speaker 3 (06:07):
Well, you know, that's a good question to Angela, because again,
it has not been easy. There were many days where
I didn't know. I mean before I, you know, becoming
a born again Christian, I didn't know what to do.
I didn't know who to turn to. I didn't know
who I could trust, I didn't know what to do,
and sometimes, you know, I wanted to just give up,
(06:29):
but there was something inside of me that said, oh no,
sister girl, you can't call it quits now. You've got
to press on. And so it was through those dark
nights when it would be pouring down, raining so hard,
and all you could hear was the rain falling on
the roof. You open the door and you see nothing
but darkness, and when you wake up in the morning,
it still seemed like there was no light. But I
(06:52):
knew that something was changing inside of me, and so
how I got through I had to be persistent and
no matter what it was, when the doctors were saying
one thing, Oh no, my mom was already made up.
Oh no, not me. So I had to keep pulling
and pressing on what little bit At that point that
I knew that I, as they like to say, I
(07:13):
know that, I know that, I know well, I knew that.
I knew that I knew that something greater was coming.
And so it was because I learned. After a while,
I started going to church a lot, and I started
meeting new people, different people in different ministries, and friends
started coming around me and saying, go to this work
shot with me, Come do this, come do that. So
(07:34):
I became an advocate in my community. And really just
being amongst people believe as people that believed in me
what I didn't believe in myself is how I got
through those challenges. So communication is essential, and as you
learned to communicate, just know that the one person you
need to communicate is our God that rang and cry
(07:54):
above all. And that's how I got through. And you know,
and part of my story is that I, like two
from the scriptures, mount up and with the wings of
an Agel, the eagles, they high above all the storms.
They take their wings and elevate, so we are like
those eagles, you know, we got to learn how to
mount up and rise above. And so I thank God
(08:16):
that's what I do now.
Speaker 1 (08:18):
Wow, and how have you allowed your voice to speak
through your literary works. I know that you are a published.
Speaker 3 (08:28):
Author, yes, you know, being a publisher, author of the
book of will Power, the call to rise Above. That's
my life story, will power. We're born with that, we
are called to rise above. So I use my book,
I use my production when praise becomes my purpose, all
(08:49):
to tell people that beyond what you can see, you
have that power. You're born with it. We're all born
with that. So we have to learn how to use
what we have. Sometimes, you know, we want to see
the big picture, but you can't always see it. You
have to learn to believe it. And when you believe it,
(09:11):
be ready to receive it and know that, yes, there's greater.
So what I do with my platforms, you know, and
all my publications I speak about me, my trials and
how God brought me through and how I learn to
adopt myself in my going through situations. So I hope
to inspire and encourage people across this nation as an evasist.
(09:34):
My goal is now to take one hundred evangelists on
the move globally and let share our stories and unite
together where there's power when we come together, because we
all have a testimony, and so I hope to share
testimony after testimony and help others to come through as
they are going through.
Speaker 1 (09:55):
Wow. So when you decide to publish, did you take
the traditional route or did you self published?
Speaker 3 (10:04):
Well? Actually, I had a young guy helping me to
publish the book. At that time, I was a broadcaster
and my broadcast was a place called Through and that's
how we kind of came up with the book will
Power the Call to Rise Above, and gone to a
church service that Sunday, and when I got back home,
I couldn't stop writing. And so the young guy that
was helping me helped me self publish the book, and
(10:26):
so we just kept on going through the process and
we were able to get it. The book follow Me
came out Will Power the Call to Rise Above available
on online bookstores and Amazon as well.
Speaker 1 (10:37):
Wow. What was one of your biggest challenges during this
process of getting this book published?
Speaker 3 (10:47):
Well, the biggest challenges was that in my book, because
it is a it's a real truth it's a true story,
and there was some challenging moments, like when I wrote
about the loss of my parents, who transition six months
apart from each other. I was only thirteen years old.
I didn't know what to do. I had moved from
(11:08):
family to family. This one wanted to take me in,
and the next one didn't want to take me in.
And then when I had to relocate and from I'm
originally from Philadelphia, and so when I had to move
to South Carolina in the book, that's what I talked about.
That was the hardest thing for me. It was a
whole different culture. I didn't know anybody. I didn't feel welcome.
(11:31):
I just was struggling because my parents were gone. These
were the only people that I knew. My aunts and
my uncles and all my cousins, they were all gone,
you know. I just felt that voice, and so writing
that book, it just really challenged me to press to
tell those stories because I knew that if somebody could
(11:53):
just hear what I went through, I would pray and
hope that it would bring them through. But I think
both of my parents at pretty much the same time
was a challenge for me to write that book and
then we had a home invasion, which made it even
more challenging for me to get through it. But I
relied on the scriptures and what I knew that I
knew to get through that story.
Speaker 1 (12:16):
Wow. Wow, So Mamma, and I can relate to you
in so many ways. I am from South Carolina. I
have ties to Philadelphia. My family we're split, so half
(12:39):
of my grandfather's siblings lived in Philadelphia and the other
half lived in South Carolina. It was eighteen of them.
The young lady that I posted on yesterday that turned
one hundred years old yesterday, that she's the last living
one of them. She was raised in South Carolina. But
(13:00):
we're from Philadelphia. I have cousins in Philadelphia right now. Yeah.
So yeah, And I lost my mom twelve days after
my sixteenth birthday. I now have lost both of my parents,
So I definitely can relate. So in sharing your story,
(13:23):
what are some of the things that you want those
that read your book or may hear your story. What
would you want them to take away.
Speaker 3 (13:34):
One of the key things that I hope that people
will take away from that is believe in theirselves. The
key to survival is that you do have to believe
in yourself. So many days had gone by where, like
I said, I lost hope. I didn't know what hope
was anymore. I had given up on PAT. I didn't
(13:56):
believe PAT could ever amount to anything, belie believe that
I had a voice. I didn't even believe that I
belonged anywhere, hanging out with people, hanging out with the friends,
just to be in the number with somebody. After a while,
that didn't work anymore. But I had to believe that
somewhere within me there was something. And so from that
(14:18):
book will power the call to rise above. I want
people to believe in themselves. I want them to believe
that there is hope. I want them to believe to
even challenge themselves to rise up above those situations because
a lot of times in life, you know, Angela, we
look at the circumstances and the situations, but we have
(14:40):
to go past that, you know, because we allow those
situations and circumstances to overpower us. But we have to
learn to empower ourselves our minds. Take our minds back
and release, but know that in releasing, we're helping ourselves
to grow. And so I hope that people will take
that book as a tool of growth and help themselves
(15:03):
to be empowered, to be successful and really grow more
in themselves.
Speaker 1 (15:11):
Wow. So, on this journey, what has been the most
surprising thing to you, be it good or bad? What
has surprised you about yourself on this journey?
Speaker 3 (15:27):
Well one, on this journey thus far, i' mu to say,
what has surprised me truly has been how God has
allowed me to be who I am. I had no
idea at my age that I would be a voice
that people would listen to. I had no idea that
(15:47):
I would be a prayer intercessor. I had no idea
that I would host this show. I had no ideas
that I would write articles for other people's magazines. I
had no idea that I would be the producer of
my very own stage play. It all came to a
surprise to me. But I am ever so thankful that
(16:10):
through even my sicknesses, through the hard times, even through
not having the finances or having any resources, that I
was able to get to this point. Yes, I am
still going through those struggles. You know, life as such,
You're gonna have ups and you're gonna have downs. But
(16:30):
I'm better because I believe and I continue to push
and push and push. So the hard time was again
not believing. Not knowing is always hard, but see when
you believe. So I had to grow in my faith
and believe that Okay, yes, God is what he's doing,
(16:51):
a new thing as he promised.
Speaker 1 (16:53):
Wow, that's amazing. And oftentimes we God do things for
us and we have testimonies and we don't want to share.
We don't want to share his goodness. So that you know,
somebody else may be able to overcome, somebody else may
be able to come out of what they're going through.
It may be that one of the nugget that you dropped.
(17:15):
It may be that one thing that somebody saw in
your story that helped them come out of what they're
going through. So I know that you not only became
a published author, but you went on even further. You
you you got more creative, you you allowed your imagination
(17:39):
to flow, and you became a playwright. What has that
journey been like?
Speaker 3 (17:46):
Oh my god, Angela. Being a playwriter has been truly
a rewarding process. The hardest part with that really was
the casting part, because this is my first production and
you know, you think that okay, well, you've got all
of this. And the guy that came aboard and that
has been helping me, he told me, he said, pat
(18:09):
Carry said, this is like a woman having a baby.
You're going to give birth, and he said, it's going
to be like those labor pains. And I was like,
you don't want to go there, not on my labor pains,
because I know what I went through. But you know what,
it's true, I had to have those labor pains in
order to make this production happen. Prime example, this morning,
(18:31):
one of my key cast members, she sends me a
text message to tell me she can't do the production
because of work. Well, you know what, She's already been
casted out two weeks ago anyway. But things like that
do happen, and so you do have many challenges. But
I'm using this platform as well, Angela to spread the
(18:51):
word that God is who he is, and that you
can rise above your circumstances and situation if you believe
believe in in your work. One of the things that
we don't do a lot of times is we don't
believe in our own work, not in just ourselves, but
the things that we write and that we talk about.
We have to believe it ourselves. We have to live
at ourselves in order to inspire someone else. So through
(19:14):
even the production, when praise becomes to my purpose, we
want to inspire people also to know that, yes, you
do have a praise with a purpose. Your calls on purpose.
Speaker 1 (19:25):
Wow, definitely I am a purpose. It is one of
my words that that that that thing we ringing in
my spirit. I just want people to know that they
that they got one. They didn't get dropped out of
the sky, that you know they are to strategically place here.
You know that there's something that they're supposed to be doing,
(19:47):
like you didn't get dropped out. But we waiting for
somebody to do something for us. Most of the time,
it's like we just waiting, like and I'm just standing
here like just just trying to push, like okay, go
go go. It's right there. If you just if you
just reach, I promise you, that's probably gonna fall in
your hand. It's probably if you just reach.
Speaker 3 (20:11):
And Angelia's so right, we just have to reach out.
A lot of times we dorm it on our own
blessings because we don't want to receive. You know, the
funny part about a blessing is that God does things
the way he wants to do it. A lot of
times we may not get it the way we want
it or how we see it. Because when I wrote
(20:31):
this production, I rewritten I think has been rewritten about
three or four times. But the light of it, it's
what I wanted. But at first, you know I had
to go through well you know, if it ams and maybes,
But the impact of it all is that when God
gives it to you, when He assigns it, when you
(20:52):
are called, you are anointed, and you are given this assignment,
you have to stand. You know, we say order my steps,
will truly that God order your steps to all that
you do and all that you say. And yes, you're
still going to struggle even the more because of that,
But just know that through it all, God is who
(21:16):
he is, and when He gives it to you, trust
me Angelaus. Through the hardest times, many nights I cried
over this production. I got to the point really last
year I told the cast I quit. I didn't want
to do it no more. Things just weren't working out.
But we're still plugging through. We have a show coming
up in April, so we thank God for the brand
(21:37):
new cast. They're phenomenal cast. And I'm telling you, I'm
so excited now and we're actually going to get ready
to write a second production. So you know, God has
been good. He's giving me the inspirations. We're putting down
the second book, we're putting down the second place, and
we just hope to be one of those forces out
there that people will hear and learn from what we
(21:58):
have to say.
Speaker 1 (22:00):
Or you're definitely creating a blueprint for legacy and for
individuals to be able to follow. So my question is
what do you hope that your story, your journey, everything
(22:20):
that you're doing, everything that you're contributing, how do you
want that to impact society and hopefully spark conversation and
maybe change the narrative that a lot of people have
about our culture.
Speaker 3 (22:40):
First word you said change. I want to be one
of those people that make change. I want to show
people how you can change. I want people to know that, yes,
change is hard, change is difficult. Sometimes we don't want
to accept the change. But in my life journey, my
(23:02):
legacy is to make that difference. I want people to
be enlightened by their life stories as well. I want
people to know that no matter what it looks like,
you have a story. But I want to be that example.
I want to be that living model that you will
(23:23):
be able to say Pat Wade going, oh yeah, I
know her story. She helped me through her story, whatever
it is. I want to be that helper. I am
that called servant. So I want to be that servant
that goes out to the world and share my story,
(23:43):
my testimony to help you build your story. Put it
out there. Let's go. I'm like, I'm so ready. I'm like,
come on, people, let's go. Let's do this, because I
want you to know there is hope. One thing Jesse
Jackson used to say, keep hope alive and I used
to laugh about it, but you know what, keep hope
a lot hope is in order to make the difference
(24:05):
for us. And that's what I want my legacy to say.
There is hope, there is beliefs, and there is trust
and in all of that together we truly can make
the difference.
Speaker 1 (24:17):
Wow. That's powerful. And one of my things is connecting
and collaborating, building relationships, having those I don't know, having
those conversations. I feel like where we may be in
(24:37):
the areas that we may be weakened, that those that
we come in contact with they may be strong in
areas and we may we can help each other out,
you know, because the word tells us that we're supposed
to be help makes one to another. So you know
that that that that thing be crossing my mind. Like,
so on this journey, you're working with cast members. I
(25:00):
hear you really in ministry, so you are connecting with
a lot of people. You're coming across a lot of
people's path How has building these different relationships help you
build partnerships with the things that you're doing and help
(25:20):
you maybe expand what you're doing.
Speaker 3 (25:24):
Well, you know, I like you, I like collaboration. I
just I love people. I like connections, and not always
just for me. I may meet someone, you know, that
may be able to help someone else that may need
help for a different situation. But I just believe that,
you know, through how I was taught Angela when I
(25:46):
was going through some hard times, and I mean sometimes
I really I didn't have a wardrobe. Partly I just
you know, I didn't feel that I was presentable to
go out to meetings and workshops. And I had a
few good friends that they picked me up and they said,
come on, girl, go with me to this meeting. And
I started going to county council meetings. I started going
(26:09):
to Columbia to the capitol. I visited with senators, actually
ran for public office several times. And because people were
always inspiring me, I just feel that we have to
give back, you know. The challenges helped me to grow
at that time when I was going through those challenges. Yes,
(26:31):
I didn't know how I was going to go through.
I didn't know how I was going to make it out.
Speaker 1 (26:34):
You know.
Speaker 3 (26:35):
I can remember that there was a time where I
had just transitioned here to South Carolina and had my children,
and I didn't know what to do. I didn't know
how to turn to anybody for help. I had a
good job when I lived, you know, in Philadelphia and
New York. Actually they wanted me to stay to be
a supervisor on one position, but I knew my family
(26:55):
had to be first. And I came here and it
ended up with me on food stamps and that was
the first time I had gotten food for them, And
thirty two dollars is what they gave me for my
two children. And I cried when a relative came to
tell me, Oh, the mail came and they improved with you.
I was like what. I broke down and cried. But
it was a challenge, and so through our life challenges,
(27:18):
these are the things that I hope that people will
inspire each other. And as I continue to make those collaborations,
those connections, oh my god, I pray much that it
will be a blessing to others as it has been
a blessing to me. As you are as well.
Speaker 1 (27:35):
Wow, Well, I definitely I believe in networking. I believe
in collaborating, and that's one of the things that I
am so grateful for with this movement, the one hundred
Author's Movement, it gives individuals an opportunity to work together,
to support each other, to inspire each other. What inspired
(28:01):
you to join the one hundred Authors movement? Out of
all the movements you could have been a part of, well,
why the one hundred Authors Movement?
Speaker 2 (28:12):
One.
Speaker 3 (28:13):
I believe in the movement. I believe that this is
a movement that is full of empowerment. I believe in
what you do. I believe this is your assignment. And
because I believe in you, Angela and seeing the work
that you've done. I said, okay, you know this is
a group. I need to connect with these people. I
(28:34):
need to be a part of this group. I need
to be a part of empowerment. I live to empower people.
That is one of my purposes is to empower and
educate people. And I saw what you do and I
just admire you for your strength, the tenacity that you give,
and your willingness is always there to come, you know,
(28:56):
and help. And in fact, remember I met you at
five six years and we had a conversation then and
I said, oh my god, this lady does so much.
How can I be apart? And so when the opportunity availed,
I said, you know what, I'm gonna jump right on.
I'm gonna do whatever I can to be a part
of this movement and hopefully that I will be able
(29:17):
to be a resource as well to bring people together.
As we said, to share our story is to work together.
Let's continue to build this movement. My new thing now
is let's go. You know, as that song says, you know,
I've gotten rid of the old and this is the new.
This is my ecstasy now. So I'm ready, let's go.
Let's do this. I want to be apart. I'm not
(29:39):
going nowhere. I'm here with you, Angela. I'm just gonna
be here for the state. So you're gonna almost have
to put me out now, but I'm gonna be here
with you. I just I don't want to.
Speaker 1 (29:50):
So we talk about the things that bring us together.
But what is that unique voice that you do You
want to resonate throughout this movement that people can know
who Miss Patricia is.
Speaker 3 (30:08):
Well. The one thing is to know that one. First
of all, I am a child of Pard.
Speaker 1 (30:15):
I love the.
Speaker 3 (30:16):
Lord with all my heart. There's nobody else that I
love greater than God. I want people to relate to
me in terms of who I am, the real me.
Don't you know a lot of times we look at
people and you'll see the makeup, the hair, the clothes
and all that that's our appearance. I want people to
(30:36):
remember me and know me from my heart, from the
sincerity of who I am and who I am becoming.
I want people to grow with me. I want them.
I want to grow with people so that we can
be this powerful, strong movement that we can make these
changes for Again, it's together that we do stand, but
(30:59):
it's words invited we will fall, but see through this movement,
we're gonna stand even taller. We're going to be stronger
because we have that power. And we do believe that
prayer changes things. So I challenge everyone, continue to pray,
always believe in what you're praying for, because I know
(31:19):
that God does answer prayer.
Speaker 1 (31:23):
Amen.
Speaker 3 (31:23):
Yes, and I will leave that legacy. Pray, pray, pray,
pray on it, pray through it, and pray over it.
Speaker 1 (31:29):
Amen. Amen. Amen, I definitely believe in prayer. We are
headed into February first will be five years that we've
been standing on the wall five am. I tell you,
I'm grateful, and I tell you being in prayer at
five am has truly showed me the power and the
(31:49):
strength of prayer. So yes, if you would share with us,
what are some things that you would like to take
away from this movement.
Speaker 3 (32:03):
What I would like to really take away from the movement, Angela,
is that it's a positive movement. What I do take
away from it is the positivity of the movement. What
I do take away from it is the strength of everyone.
And I may not have met you know, individuals, but
just watching you know, the Texas and the communications. What
(32:25):
I take away is that this is a group of
people that sincerely want to be a force to be
reckoned with these people, including myself, and you want to
be the group of people that the world says we
want to be a part. We believe in your mission.
Teach us, show us, help us. When our children go
(32:49):
off the school in the day. We want to be
able to say, okay, this is my my talk can
come back home and say okay, like my grandso says
my grandma pad she showed me this. We want to
be those teachers, those leaders in this movement that go
out and share with others, but teach as well, because
(33:09):
when we don't empower people and we're not helping in
the educational process, you know things, just as you said earlier,
they'll lay dormant. But that's not what this movement does.
And I thank God for the movement. But we want
this movement to be so empowered through all the people
that seek out to be a part of this movement
that the world will take notice of us and say, yes,
(33:32):
truly they are on the move. And so I take
away wholeheartedly that word movement because we can't stand still.
We have to keep it movement, as I like to say,
move in faith and knowing together that yes there's a difference,
that the change is coming, the change is here, and
so I leave the legacy to say to everyone that yes,
(33:57):
we are who we are, but we are mover ors,
we are shakers, movers and doers, and we're not gonna
stand still. Oh no, there's no such thing mister authoritis
minus going away from me, because we're not doing that.
As part of my play, we say, mister authoritis may
level me and I wear ben Gate like I wear
white diamonds, So I'm wearing my white diamonds today. But anyway,
(34:18):
we're taking away the fourth of this movement, and that's
what my legacy is all about. Purpose, praise and purpose.
Speaker 1 (34:26):
Wow, that's amazing. I'm so excited that you are a
part of this movement. How can individuals connect with you?
And what what do you have coming up? What can
we expect expect in twenty twenty five.
Speaker 3 (34:43):
Oh Angela, you know, by God's grace, we'll have a
new book coming out prayerfully soon after the rain, Praise
with a Purpose be coming out, we hope, and the
stage play production, which is when praise becomes my purpose
that should be going on stage we know for sure
April nineteenth. We also have one hundred evangelists on the
(35:03):
Move globally, which is another prayer ministry that we'll be
launching hopefully next month. And we're also doing community prayer
circles with different locations here in the area that I reside.
We have also several things going on. We're looking back
as we were sharing earlier about broadcasting. So we're just
going to continue to believe God to move in our lives.
(35:27):
As an evangelist, we are out in the community and
so we want to be sure that the joy of
the Lord is shared as well as what we're writing
and talking about. As I said from the onset, we
have to believe in ourselves and I believe that this
is the season, this is now the time to keep
on moving and let's move forward and together, Yes, we
(35:48):
can build a stronger community.
Speaker 1 (35:51):
So how can we stay connected with you and follow
and support the things that you're doing.

Speaker 1 (36:20):
Wow, I tell you, I thank you for stopping by
and sharing with us on today. It truly has been
a blessing. I always ask my guests to share something
inspirational with the listeners before they leave that will encourage
them until the next time.
Speaker 3 (36:41):
Well, I would say, I would reiterate what I said
about the eagles. When those clouds hang low and the
storms are coming, the eagle knows about the storm before
it even comes, and so when the storm does arrive,
they take their wings and they open their wings up.
They spread the wings as wide as they can, and
(37:02):
they use that power with the air and they rise
above the storm. So I say to you, we don't
have wings, but we have hands, and when you lift
your hands up, you know what's going on. So we
give God the glory and repraise himself. I say, no
matter what your storm is, no matter what challenge you're
facing with life and death, praise God for all that
he has done and what he will continue to do.
(37:24):
And I encourage you please lift your hands up always
in total praise.
Speaker 1 (37:38):
