Thispodcast highlights those individuals: parents, teachers, medical professionals,caregivers—people who never asked for recognition but found themselves becomingbeacons of support for others.I’m speaking with those who have developed tools, insight, and strength—notonly to guide their own paths, but to lift those around them who may bestruggling. Special Needs Parents, in particular, rarely envisioned themselveson this path. There’s no manual, no formal training for parenting a child whomay need you well beyond adolescence. But still, they rise.
These individuals may not have chosen their circumstances,but they continue to lead with grace, resilience, and love. In my eyes, theyare the quiet heroes in our society—the ones building bridges of understanding,one lived experience at a time.About Daniela WolfeDaniela helps stressed and burnt-out professionals ditch the guilt and overwhelm, and productively manage their time and daily tasks with ease, so they have the space and energy for self-care every day! She has been a Licensed Master’s Social Worker for over 27 years working with individuals on self-care, stress management skills, mindfulness, relationships, parenting and just managing all the chaos that life can send your way.Daniela is also a speaker/trainer, author of the book Balance Breakthrough - A Practical Guide for Busy Professionals to Take Charge of Their Work, Life, and Well-being, and host of the podcast Best D Life with Daniela. Daniela can help you learn the options and strategies to make over your schedule and life one day at a time. Her mission is to empower you to prioritize yourself on your to-do lists and learn the strategies to makeover your daily life.When my kids were younger, about five and six months old, I went through a divorce and found myself at a place where I was trying to manage it all, do it all, and I wasn't great at asking for help and found myself irritable, snapping, burnt out, frustrated, and overwhelmed. I recognized this was not whotruly was, so I took a step back and saw that I needed to change. This was not the life I wanted to lead. This was not the person I wanted my kids to know. And so I started practicing what I teach others as a social worker and found a way to fit in different strategies, habits, and routines, and intentionally change my focus and mindset. By taking the skills and techniques that I've been helping so many others with for years, I was able to find that balance and happiness a little bit more each day. It doesn't come overnight. It's not a quick fix, but through intentional changes, not just in one area you can make some broad changes to really take care of yourself every day and still be a good mom. worker, friend, etc. I found over the years so many women have gravitated and come to me as they're going through maybe their own divorce, having babies, taking care of elderly parents, different life events and asking "How do I manage it? How do I find some of what you've been able to do?" And I've seen that by helping empower women to make those changes in their lives, they were able to find that balance that they were looking for.https://www.bestdlife.com/.css-j9qmi7{display:-webkit-box;display:-webkit-flex;display:-ms-flexbox;display:flex;-webkit-flex-direction:row;-ms-flex-direction:row;flex-direction:row;font-weight:700;margin-bottom:1rem;margin-top:2.8rem;width:100%;-webkit-box-pack:start;-ms-flex-pack:start;-webkit-justify-content:start;justify-content:start;padding-left:5rem;}@media only screen and (max-width: 599px){.css-j9qmi7{padding-left:0;-webkit-box-pack:center;-ms-flex-pack:center;-webkit-justify-content:center;justify-content:center;}}.css-j9qmi7 svg{fill:#27292D;}.css-j9qmi7 .eagfbvw0{-webkit-align-items:center;-webkit-box-align:center;-ms-flex-align:center;align-items:center;color:#27292D;}
