Speaker 1 (00:02):
Monday, October thirty first, nineteen eighty eight. It's Halloween, but
your creaky old ass is too lazy to get out
of bed for a king sized snickers. You've already tucked
yourself in for a treat? Or will it be a trick?
A scared lady touches her face, A scary lady touches
(00:23):
her face, screaming eight, what the butt? That's the same lady.
It looks like we've just been introduced to the Rejuvenator
or you've just entered the Rejuvenatrix, depending on the title
you prefer, come to be be shot video rentals. I'm
(01:13):
Jeremy Briggs Winger. Hi Eddie, how you knew it?
Speaker 2 (01:19):
Hey, Jimmy. It's just one of those days.
Speaker 1 (01:21):
It's just one of those duties. It's all about for
all you, uh live Biscuit fans.
Speaker 2 (01:28):
What a hello?
Speaker 1 (01:32):
I think I think we have an intersection, right, Yeah, surely,
Ben Diagram.
Speaker 2 (01:39):
Yeah, there's some overlap for sure, for sure. So how's
your week? Ben?
Speaker 1 (01:46):
Oh man? Do you know what? You know? That thing
we talked about last week? I was I'm on a
veil for it. Oh yeah, but I've been on a
veil for four days, so I didn't book.
Speaker 2 (02:01):
But you know what that means, you do a good job.
Speaker 1 (02:03):
They fit tomorrow because you know what the thing is
the best thing to be a second place because you're
the first winner or loser.
Speaker 2 (02:11):
Oh yeah, yeah, you know that means that somebody you
were someone's choice.
Speaker 1 (02:17):
I've always found that I am never the business choice.
Speaker 2 (02:22):
Like the artistic person.
Speaker 1 (02:23):
I'm always the directors. I'm the director's choice. I'm never
the like the industry people, the people who have the company.
You're paying me for the money. I'm not the money.
Defense of the money. The money. This is gonna be
a good episode today. My words are feeling.
Speaker 2 (02:41):
They're doing great. I was the same way though, like
the person in the room who wanted to, like see
a vision. It's like, oh yeah, I like her, But
the money people are like, no, she's very weird.
Speaker 1 (02:54):
She's comb Yeah, everyone else in the room has come
I know her uncomfortable. We don't know how comfortable you
are because all you artists like, yeah, oh it was ours.
Speaker 2 (03:06):
People like we enjoy like something that's off the beaten path,
and I'm like, because I got brought in for sexy girl.
I was always like the weirdest choice because everybody else
who had to push up brawn going to the audition
with their hair makeup done. The last thing they wanted
to do was talk to them about, Hey, what foods
make you burp? Because I'm going through a list and
(03:27):
I think I ate nachos before I came here, So
if I burp, that's why you know. They're like, why
is she telling us with?
Speaker 1 (03:32):
This is too much information? I was given on the callback.
I was given a note I have never ever received
in the past twenty years. Can you go? Can you
do it bigger this time? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (03:46):
Usually it's a pull it back. Usually it's a pull out.
Speaker 1 (03:49):
I've never been and I was already on like a
bigger end of it. I was not holding back, like
go bigger. I'm like, are you sure you don't make
go big?
Speaker 2 (04:00):
Is there enough space in here?
Speaker 1 (04:03):
Okay? So so can you just walk into frame? Yeah?
John Cleese, Yeah, doing a silly walk.
Speaker 2 (04:14):
Should we get to the news?
Speaker 1 (04:15):
All right? You wanted to do the news? You want
to do? Did you do the news?
Speaker 2 (04:19):
I feel like I need to get informed.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
Let's get informed. October thirty first, Oh, it's Monday, October
thirty first, nineteen eighty eight mvs. Are you're not so
current events? I told you I am nailing it today.
Nailing it today. Jesus the Wichita Eagle Beacon from Kansas
(04:48):
endorsed a Democrat for president for the first time in history,
saying Governor Dukakis seems uniquely prepared to deal with issues
certain to confront the next president, adding Vice President Bush
can do coc kiss our ass.
Speaker 2 (05:04):
I mean hearing Bush and Docucus in the same sentence, like,
I'm going nuts.
Speaker 1 (05:09):
So rad does it bring you back?
Speaker 2 (05:12):
Somebody did caucus in my Bush.
Speaker 1 (05:16):
That's why I didn't give you that line, the line
of Coke. The Ranchos second nuclear reactor plant shut down
on Tuesday due to a contaminated leak. Perhaps I'm ignorant,
but maybe use a tampon, Jenny, How do you deal
with leakage?
Speaker 2 (05:34):
Oh my god, I was gonna seriously answer, I'm a
free bleader that I am. Don't bother me for fourth
of the month. Like, honestly, I think it's great. There
are these period panties that you wear and you just blee,
you just flee like you're in a diaper.
Speaker 1 (05:52):
It's so good, it's so great.
Speaker 2 (05:55):
Yeah, Samuel Goldman, junior executive producer of the new film
Mystic Pizza, is highly considering a sequel that would continue
Daisy Kat and JoJo's story five years after the movie ends.
It will be called Mystic Slim Fast Pizza is a
once in a wild treat as you get older.
Speaker 1 (06:13):
Yeah, come on, what are we gonna get fat? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (06:16):
Yeah, we're not in our twenties anymore. Too much bread,
too much bread. Columbia's Interior Minister cecir Gavera said troops
regained control in Uraba. I do not know how to
say that. I hope it's fine, a vital banana growing
region after a major rebel offensive, defeating the enemy by
throwing banana peels on the floor. Oh slip, sliding away
(06:40):
like you and your audition.
Speaker 1 (06:46):
A five point two five million dollars settlement has been
reached between Minnesota farmers, the Chubb Corporation, and its subsidiary,
the fully erect Penis Corporation LLC. President Reagan signed legislation
(07:08):
Friday establishing a three year, fifteen point five million dollar
program to address raidon contamination in schools in federal buildings,
backtracking his previous stance that children weren't getting enough raid on.
Speaker 2 (07:23):
I mean, who tests these things?
Speaker 1 (07:26):
Yeah, you need your healthy dose of raid on.
Speaker 2 (07:31):
Yeah. The Educational Testing Service said yesterday that it would
replace its much criticized National Teachers Examination with a more
sophisticated test, widely known as the not a Pedophile Test.
You could test thatt at my school bikes. The Space
Shuttle Atlantis is expected to have significantly fewer spectators than
(07:51):
the Discovery's launch, which was the first since the Challenger
explosion in eighty six. Here's a tip. If you want
more viewers, maybe don't name a shuttle after something else
that was destroyed.
Speaker 1 (08:03):
Gosh, you're just asking for tragedy.
Speaker 2 (08:06):
Yeah, Atlantis. It brings up things for people.
Speaker 1 (08:10):
Yeah. For me, you say Atlantis and I'm.
Speaker 2 (08:14):
Like, oh, that is to get me started.
Speaker 1 (08:22):
Oral Herscheizer said he likes playing with the Dodgers, but
he might say Cyonara because he's learning Japanese.
Speaker 2 (08:31):
That's a good one.
Speaker 1 (08:33):
It's a dumb one.
Speaker 2 (08:35):
It's so stupid.
Speaker 1 (08:37):
Under a ban approved today by the Consumer Product and
Safety Commission, lawn darts could be removed from stores before Christmas. Yeah,
because it's the lawn dart's fault. You stabbed your neighbor
eight times.
Speaker 2 (08:51):
It's yours. You're the choice maker.
Speaker 1 (08:54):
Take some responsibility.
Speaker 2 (08:56):
Rule more rules sucks for everybody. Yeah, and the new
exhibition at the Smithsonian Institute will feature Roman coins, capturing
the complete attention of the bagel boys. Finally, age and
launch Pad can have a weak off, Yeah, Prince Charles.
Prince Charles once again criticized modern British architecture, saying Birmingham's
(09:20):
Central Library look like a place where books are incarcerated
or incarcerated, she's got prison on her mind. Prince Charles
once again criticized modern British architecture, saying Birmingham Central Library
look like a place where books are incinerated, not kept,
(09:41):
adding what great Britain really needs is more opulent shitas.
Speaker 1 (09:50):
I love te.
Speaker 2 (10:00):
What what's in here? Somebody replaced my throat?
Speaker 1 (10:08):
Goat?
Speaker 2 (10:08):
Oh it's a or something.
Speaker 1 (10:10):
Silly juice.
Speaker 2 (10:12):
Silly juice, that's what That's what it was.
Speaker 1 (10:15):
When I was yuikes, Jenny, we're gonna need to have
extra therapy sessions.
Speaker 2 (10:22):
I thought I maxed out, but my therapist said, Okay,
you're good.
Speaker 1 (10:26):
Oh man, you're good.
Speaker 2 (10:28):
Don't come back here.
Speaker 1 (10:29):
So what do we what did we watch this week?
A little film called The Rejuvenator a k a.
Speaker 2 (10:36):
Juvenatrix, and it was awesome, awesome, I mean like we're
going to get into it. But there were many things, like,
first of all, like there's one scene in this that's
a different movie entirely, and I want to go on
that journey. I'm ahead of myself. But it was so
(10:57):
freaking exciting.
Speaker 1 (10:58):
You are ahead because I don't know where you're Okay.
Speaker 2 (11:02):
We'll get there and then I'll tell you this.
Speaker 1 (11:05):
Oh man. So we got this directed by Brian Thomas Jones,
who obviously was made famous through Beetleborgs, obviously the smash
hit Beatleborgs, which is like a Power Rangers type thing
in the nineties but more unhinged.
Speaker 2 (11:24):
Yeah I missed that one.
Speaker 1 (11:26):
Yeah, most people did miss that one. Missed. So we
got this music by this guy named Larry Juris, right,
and he did for the very first Pokemon movie. He
did stuff for that. He also early in his career
he did a film called Deep Inside Anny Sprinkle, which
(11:46):
just a porn title featuring Ron Jeremy in My personal
favorite Roger Ram.
Speaker 2 (11:52):
Roger Ram.
Speaker 1 (11:53):
That's a guy's name, that's terrible and great God. Roger
rim At very much sculler Man, so he definitely.
Speaker 2 (12:01):
Ram Yeah, he was doing the ramming.
Speaker 1 (12:05):
His Roger was wait, hold on, it has to be
your Roger. He also can composed the music for Dead
Time Stories.
Speaker 2 (12:13):
I really enjoyed the music.
Speaker 1 (12:15):
Anyways, let's get into this movie.
Speaker 2 (12:17):
So we open up on a cage rattling and a beast.
Speaker 1 (12:20):
Yes, this is some sort of creature problems, right.
Speaker 2 (12:24):
Yeah, which I love.
Speaker 1 (12:25):
Seemed to gets you out.
Speaker 2 (12:26):
And then we cut to a doctor lady named Stella
in a lab coat.
Speaker 1 (12:30):
Tella Stone, Doctor, Stella Stone.
Speaker 2 (12:33):
Doctor, have you been to the anal section animal section today?
I'm thinking of Roger ram.
Speaker 1 (12:43):
Once it's in there and never goes out.
Speaker 2 (12:45):
So she asked him if he's been to the animal
section today?
Speaker 1 (12:48):
Yes, and he comes to running.
Speaker 2 (12:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (12:50):
They discover that there's dead animal and that specimen five
four five two five four is gone? Yes, doctor, what
do you think happen? Not a word to anyone? We
could lose how funding? Yeah, if missus Warren Founds finds.
Speaker 2 (13:07):
Out, Yeah, but then she leaves him. He discovers some
like goo on.
Speaker 1 (13:11):
The ground, letting guts all over the floor.
Speaker 2 (13:14):
You know they were setting this up to kind of
like he was going to get more information and hide
it from her. But then immediately he sees her and
says everything.
Speaker 1 (13:22):
Oh, from Missus Warren from Stella from Stella.
Speaker 2 (13:26):
Okay, she leaves and he's like, oh, this is great,
but he always informs her and because she's in love
with him. Basically we find out way so in love
with him. She's like so into him that she's like.
Speaker 1 (13:36):
Sure, God knows why?
Speaker 2 (13:38):
Yeah, I mean literally, why are is all the women
who are hot in this movie attracted to this man
who is disgusting? Whoa, he's a loser, okay, but anyways, Uh,
he's gonna try a new sequence.
Speaker 1 (13:53):
Yes, and it's a phone call from Missus Warren and
then he immediately looks at doctor Stella. Stone is like
her and she's like, I didn't tell, Like that was
a little quick for her to tell. Yeah, why are
you making judgy eyes at her? Yeah, mister doctor Gregory Ashton.
Speaker 2 (14:11):
And he's pissed that he has to meet this lady,
like right now, it's sitting up like he hates this lady?
Speaker 1 (14:18):
Why does he hate this lady? We're about to find out.
Speaker 2 (14:23):
Cut to my favorite character.
Speaker 1 (14:25):
Yes, Rose Warren just a delight.
Speaker 2 (14:29):
Yeah, she's amazing. And she's petting a fake dog.
Speaker 1 (14:33):
Yes, she's just fondling the ears of a stone dog
or a ceramic dog. Like, what the hell is this
smoking her long cigarette?
Speaker 2 (14:44):
My onset speculation. The thing that I have a speculation
about is so this dog has to be something to somebody,
and they're like, just put it in the movie because
because it's in there multiple times for everything.
Speaker 1 (15:05):
It's in the hallway and there's like one in a room,
It's in multiple places. They're just like, just use the
dog again, just use the doc again. Yeah, and it's.
Speaker 2 (15:15):
Yeah, she's in this room, bring it in here, and
let her lean on, bring it in Okay.
Speaker 1 (15:20):
She carries that thing around with a dolly everywhere she goes.
Speaker 2 (15:23):
Yeah. So, and we never get the story on it.
It's never explained, like does it look like a dog
she liked?
Speaker 1 (15:31):
She just told us it's in the post operating room,
in the postop do.
Speaker 2 (15:38):
Yeah, so so stupid.
Speaker 1 (15:41):
My comfort ceramic dog.
Speaker 2 (15:44):
We find out here what they're trying to do. They're
trying to like basically find the fountain of youth for
this old lady who's.
Speaker 1 (15:50):
Pissed an aging actress who is funding she can't get
any work anymore, she's stupid depressed. She wants her use
again and has been funding him because he's got this
great theory idea. Yeah, I can make you young again. Just
give me money, which I've fallen for too many times.
Speaker 2 (16:13):
Yeah, I know.
Speaker 1 (16:15):
And like she walks in, she's got like this mask on,
smoking heading this dog. Her butler, Willie brings her in.
Willie Wilhelm brings her in, and she's like, where the
al is that scientist and she's getting a pedicure and
he's like, oh, how's my favorite patron of science?
Speaker 2 (16:35):
And she gets so fucking pissed, like, don't sneak up
on me like that.
Speaker 1 (16:40):
And that's when he goes like my favorite patron of
science and she's like, ah, that's what I love about you.
You don't fuck around with words like what.
Speaker 2 (16:47):
Yeah, okay, yeah, we got right to the point.
Speaker 1 (16:50):
I guess. So you promised three results. It's been three years.
Science takes usually just about three years. Yeah, I don't
know if you're aware of that.
Speaker 2 (17:00):
And now we find out also that it's reversing aging
through like.
Speaker 1 (17:04):
Brain juice, right, because they have to they have to
get cadavers, and they're it's science. There's definite science behind it.
Speaker 2 (17:13):
And she's like, no, I want this surgery now, I'm
not waiting. He's like, but to me, we we haven't
even perfected this in animals.
Speaker 1 (17:20):
There's a process. I don't care about your process.
Speaker 2 (17:23):
How could I be worse than I already am when
somebody says.
Speaker 1 (17:26):
That it's gonna get worse? Sister mm hm. And so
he goes back to the lab because this ninety percent
of this film takes place in the lab.
Speaker 2 (17:35):
Yeah, that's their location.
Speaker 1 (17:38):
His biggest flaws, that's what might have Yeah, in the
biggest flaws, it's always in the lab. Yeah. So he's
there and there's doctor Jermaine and he's oversees all of
science or something.
Speaker 2 (17:51):
He's a businessman.
Speaker 1 (17:53):
Everything's by the number. Didn't you get my uh my files? Yeah,
everything's by the numbers. That concerns me. It's not your stuff.
You're not an ethics The ethics comedee agrees with me.
You're kakamamie and he's like okay, and he's like, oh,
your father was a humanitarian and you pale in his shadows.
Your theories of rejuvenated qualities are insane. He's like, my
(18:17):
techniques have been tried before in concentration camps. You he's
aligning him with Nazis at this point.
Speaker 2 (18:27):
Yeah, that's that's a big theme in the eighties too. Yes,
so now we're going to surgery time, right.
Speaker 1 (18:36):
Yes, Well he also brings up the point before he
leaves that they're using an awfully large amount of cadavers.
Oh yeah, which that'll come into play later.
Speaker 2 (18:49):
Yeah. So now it's surgery time, and uh, Willie's where.
Speaker 1 (18:53):
I have in this little scene here before it gets
to Willie, I have a small onset, say a micro
on speculation, if you will, sorry in advance for this one.
Speaker 2 (19:04):
Good, I'm excited for that.
Speaker 1 (19:07):
Doctor sellistone has the line you mean, by rearranging the
one carbon molecules, you can retard the regressive effects. How
many how many times do you think she had to
take before she said retard correct?
Speaker 2 (19:21):
Oh my gosh. It was like me when I'm reading
the not so current events. Eat doctor, it's working. It's
a success. We're ready to move on.
Speaker 1 (19:35):
Yeah. So this is where they deal with the mouse,
and the mouse seems fine, so they want to take
it to Warren. They're gonna bring her in again, fondling
the dog statue.
Speaker 2 (19:47):
Of course, we gotta bundle the dog statue. Yeah, and
then we start seeing like their mutations happening in the rap.
But if you give it a dose, another dose of
the serum, it like goes back to being young and
beautiful again. So, but we were about to dose this time.
Speaker 1 (20:06):
Right, but we were about to head into surgery, did we.
We didn't talk about, uh, the surgery. You had a
point on, Willie, Willie Wilhelm, Oh, yeah, interrupted you.
Speaker 2 (20:15):
That's okay, But we do the We figure out the
mutation on the rat first, and then it's surgery time,
and Willy tells him, uh, do not fail, like you see,
like Willie, this is his bitch, like he loves this girl.
And the doctor tells him I won't. That is pretty
confident for someone who has never done.
Speaker 1 (20:32):
This, who has done it once to a rat.
Speaker 2 (20:36):
Once to a rat. Yeah, and then it just cuts
to the mouse looking ragged, and then cuts back to
a nurse checking on.
Speaker 1 (20:42):
Her, and like we go into the operating room and
the operating room is unhinged. It's insane. There's like a
dozen televisions all on like white noise. For some reason,
they're just like right next to his operating.
Speaker 2 (20:59):
State, shouldn't I need to concentrate.
Speaker 1 (21:03):
And so he pulls out this this giant syringe and
that's when we pull up to another close up of
the rat when he's got this like syringe that's like
this big, bigger than his head, and he's just like,
this will work fine, what I will feel him?
Speaker 2 (21:24):
So the jab them, you jabam, you go, you jab them.
So we're after the surgery now, and the lady is
giving her like her care instructions.
Speaker 1 (21:34):
Is this before or after the raveling of her face?
Speaker 2 (21:38):
Before the unraveling of the face. Yes, He asked Ruth,
how do you feel? And she goes and he goes, good.
Speaker 1 (21:47):
Good.
Speaker 2 (21:48):
Why why is that good? She just moaned good good.
He gives her her health instruction, her healing instructions, and
then they start the unraveling and he says, oh, it's great,
and he's excited and he wants to show her the mirror, like,
look how great I did.
Speaker 1 (22:04):
And she's like, there's a moment right here before she
even gives her the mirror, there's a moment that I
just loved that The nurse who we don't know who
this nurse is. When they're like, oh, it's a success,
and doctor Stella Stone is like heyt like this is awesome,
and then the nurse goes congratulations doctor and Stella like
(22:29):
like shoots a look at her and then looks at
her up and down like that's my man.
Speaker 2 (22:34):
Yeah, it's like, you don't have this, bitch, You do
not get to speak. This is our thing.
Speaker 1 (22:40):
I feel like she wasn't supposed to have a line
in that film, and she just she just said it.
She's like, no, that was my line, and you shook
my line.
Speaker 2 (22:48):
She's like, I'm getting in the union. Yeah. We've all
been there where we're doing something because you and I
we were trained an improv. So sometimes you're on something
and you try to add it and they're like, can
we do it again without that?
Speaker 1 (22:59):
Yeah? Yeah, did I say that was acceptable? That was
an okay thing for you to do. I think you're
a writer.
Speaker 2 (23:07):
Yeah, this is a low enough budget fingo where they're like, yes,
I don't want to do another take. I don't have
another take, so we have to use the one with
her doing that. I don't have time, so they give
her them. They give Ruth the mirror and she looks
at it. It's horrible.
Speaker 1 (23:23):
Oh she's horrified. Yeah, because she's all bruised up, like
you get after surgery. Yeah, your bruised your breast.
Speaker 2 (23:32):
I don't buy this because this bitch has had plastic surgery.
Speaker 1 (23:35):
She knows to you.
Speaker 2 (23:36):
This isn't the first stop. This isn't the first stop.
Speaker 1 (23:40):
Like we saw you in the first scene that you
showed up. You were not untouched by a scalpel.
Speaker 2 (23:48):
Yeah, no, ma'am. So then they take on the mouse
and they need more serum because the rat, the rat
is starting to build up tolerance.
Speaker 1 (23:57):
Yeah, and so they decide we need more serum.
Speaker 2 (24:01):
And this is what I This is something that got
on my last fucking nerve. This is the first time
he says the CERRM like the first know what you're
trying to do as an audience, Like, we get it.
You don't have to beat it seventy billion times.
Speaker 1 (24:19):
Synthesized the serum so many times it's insane. You know.
Speaker 2 (24:26):
Their visuals are what saved them in this film, because
completely i'd be like I'm done, but the visuals are
so freaking good that I'm like, Okay, I still love it,
but I wish he would show ok I wish.
Speaker 1 (24:41):
He would stop saying synthesize the serum five times Jenny.
Speaker 2 (24:48):
So now I wrote down for this scene change. This
is the weirdest location. And it's like a free guy
dresses a priest with a fishing pole.
Speaker 1 (25:00):
Why he has a fishing pole? Like they try to
pay it off at the end, which it's bizarre.
Speaker 2 (25:07):
So weird, and then they say, okay, six grand for
twelve bodies, and I'm just in here, like, when, when
and where would you be able to do that. Here's
six thousand dollars, bring me twelve dead bodies, black mark.
Speaker 1 (25:21):
I mean, that's a deal.
Speaker 2 (25:23):
It's like you're asking for something insane.
Speaker 1 (25:26):
It's five hundred dollars a body. That's a deal.
Speaker 2 (25:29):
Why would this guy risk it to do this? We
kind of find out later.
Speaker 1 (25:34):
That's just not enough money for a risk though, yeah,
for that kind of a risk.
Speaker 2 (25:38):
No, it's not. And then at the end, he like
pushes his thing up to leave, pushes the pole, not.
Speaker 1 (25:43):
His thing, his fishing pole.
Speaker 2 (25:46):
He may have touched his thing too. He was dressed
as a priest. That was probably enticing. So he pushes
the pull up and he goes leave, and then he
turns around like he's in a fucking Western. He goes
catch anything.
Speaker 1 (25:56):
Could you see anything when he was like so dark
and exposed up hill? Okay, my best guest was that
he caught an eel, and my second best guess was
it was an inn.
Speaker 2 (26:06):
Or two for a bike tire or or a rubber
black boot from somebody waiting in the like, we can't
see what the hell you're doing. Just what is what
joke you were trying to play? It didn't land.
Speaker 1 (26:19):
It felt so flat. But at least they tried to
pay off the fishing bowl, because like that was definitely
something on said. He was like, I just feel like
I need a prop. Can I just have a prop? Prop?
Guy's like, no, you can't ever, God damn prop. I
didn't bring any props. What's that? That's my personal fishing pole.
Speaker 2 (26:36):
And it's not like they were meeting at a pier.
They're like at like a broken down like old building
like where they have art stone arches and they're meeting
in the rubble.
Speaker 1 (26:45):
He said, you catch anything in that big giant puddle
out back? I got a cord fish? Like okay, okay.
Speaker 2 (26:55):
So doctor Ashen sees Willie waiting at the hospital and
now she's hot.
Speaker 1 (27:02):
Hot, She's wearing a sexy black nightie.
Speaker 2 (27:05):
Yeah, and she's looking in the mirror and she just
keeps touching.
Speaker 1 (27:09):
She feels fantastic. But you know what, doctor Ashton, he
says something right here. He says, ah, I need to
synthesize it.
Speaker 2 (27:19):
Yeah, of course he says that, so so he's telling her. Also,
on another note, I can't wait to publish this. And
she's like, no, no, no, we're not publishing this. She
doesn't want other women in on this, and she wants
to be the only one enjoying it, and she wants
people to just think she's somebody else. I'm Elizabeth.
Speaker 1 (27:39):
Now, I'm Elizabeth Warren. Now excuse me, yes, I'm Elizabeth Warren. Okay.
Speaker 2 (27:47):
I love that she's had this anti aging procedure that's,
like Hella, expensive and experimental, and she's drinking whiskey and
smoking a fucking cigarette.
Speaker 1 (28:00):
He is living her life at this moment. She's like,
I am going to party all the bad thing when
she is young and looking good, she feels good and
there are no consequences to anything. She's just like, hey, hey,
Gregory Ashton, let's make out and they just make it.
Speaker 2 (28:17):
Yeah, just us kissing him. And as this doctor who's
going for this huge publishing he wants to make his
mark in the science world, He's like, Okay, I won't publish,
I'll just make out.
Speaker 1 (28:27):
Okay, you know what, Now, I got a boner. And
there are two things that are important in this world,
just kidding, just one. It's a boner.
Speaker 2 (28:35):
It's a boner.
Speaker 1 (28:36):
It's a boner.
Speaker 2 (28:37):
It's a boner. And so then we see the weird
rat hand in the cage who wraps like more thing.
And then it cuts back to doctor Ashton in a
tucks like getting ready to go out. Yes, and Stella
she's yelling at him for being irresponsible, and he's like,
thanks for your concern. It's like this lady has worked
so hard for you and this is so disrespectful.
Speaker 1 (28:59):
It's like, no, first of all, he all he never
calls her doctor. He he calls her Stella every time
she is a legitimate doctor. And then later he calls
her my assistant like she is head over heels in
(29:22):
love with him because he tweets her like dirt.
Speaker 2 (29:26):
So he tells her, I have a dinner date, and
then she stays back and does the lab work checking
on the animals. Yep, this motherfucker. Like, I get so
pissed because she's hot. She didn't have to have surgery,
She's already a hot smart doctor. He's like, I gotta
go do a dinner date with this weird creature woman
(29:46):
who who had gitted me ten minutes before I did
this surgery.
Speaker 1 (29:50):
But the problem with like heart hot smart doctors is
like you have to have like a conversation.
Speaker 2 (29:57):
Emily's like, what.
Speaker 1 (30:00):
Excuse me?
Speaker 2 (30:01):
Your wife is like, I'm like an executive, Like, can
you treat me this some fucking respect? Can you love women?
You have two daughters? You marry me this way? You
know what I was like, when you have.
Speaker 1 (30:18):
To change, I'm a man of my time.
Speaker 2 (30:23):
Oh my god, I hate you. So go back to
her to Ruth now Elizabeth's dinner area and there's a violinist,
like she's got like live music going and they're drinking wine.
They're you know, they're having just like an amazing time.
And then she's like, I feel like dancing.
Speaker 1 (30:43):
Let's go dance and they just waltz and this is
this is something I love. Here is like Willie Wilhelm
or Butler is like, madam, do you need me for
anything else? And she's like, no, go away, we're dancing.
And then he goes and cries in a closet.
Speaker 2 (30:59):
Yeah, what the hell is this?
Speaker 1 (31:02):
And then it like goes to his like imagination dancing
dancing with her, like flower petals falling around them, and
then he cuts back. He's like, yeah, what's going on, Willie?
Speaker 2 (31:15):
And might I say that her outfit though, Elizabeth Ruth
whoever she wants to be called, Yeah, red cap down.
I was like, that is a hot look. I love
this look. She looks great. So you know she is
a total psychotic, insane bitch, but she looks hot in
this dress.
Speaker 1 (31:35):
The girl got style.
Speaker 2 (31:37):
She got style, Okay, Like she's like, I got dresses
that I need to wear. Yeah, and then the Stella
doctor Stella. She's reading like a porn book and falls asleep,
and then she's fantasizing about doctor Gaston.
Speaker 1 (31:56):
You're right, And what I love here is like it's
it's a really weird the music that plays here. It's
like a karate kid style pan flute. It's like and
then we cut between her and that with that freaking
weird music playing well Ashton, Gregory Ashton goes to Boner Town.
(32:16):
It's very amazing. It's quite amazing. It is.
Speaker 2 (32:21):
It's quite amazing, quite amazing. So the rat isn't doing well.
Speaker 1 (32:26):
No, rat is not doing well.
Speaker 2 (32:28):
As I do it, and then the so then the
doctor and the old lady we see the rat not
doing well, and then it cuts to them fucking, which
I think is great.
Speaker 1 (32:35):
Yeah, it's so great.
Speaker 2 (32:37):
No complaints on that cut.
Speaker 1 (32:39):
So great.
Speaker 2 (32:41):
Yeah, the rat is screaming.
Speaker 1 (32:44):
I feel a bit. Yeah, I'm very inspired by that shot.
Speaker 2 (32:48):
If I could get like a dying mutated rat in
the corner of my bedroom, yeah, yeah, it really does
it for me.
Speaker 1 (33:00):
Keep screaming, rat, I want to scream along with you.
I love it. Like Stella finds the rat and she's like,
wait till wait until doctor Ashton hears about this, like
this weird dialogue.
Speaker 2 (33:13):
Yeah, the rattling of the cage wakes her up and
she sees it and she's like uh oh yeah yeah,
and then row oh yeah, Elizabeth is a monster. Now
the lights come on on the doctor and he's like,
where is she? And then she sees it. She's she's
in the bathroom, got a were voice.
Speaker 1 (33:30):
Now we got great bladder effects going on on her face,
just bubbling up and what her.
Speaker 3 (33:39):
She's all wet and her hair's falling out and she's
got a good scream.
Speaker 1 (33:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (33:45):
She's like it's so good.
Speaker 1 (33:48):
She's like losing her shit, right, and he walks in,
Doctor Gregory walks in, and she's like, what's happening. He's like,
you're experiencing complications, yes, just like gasl so calm, that's
what you call complications, young lady.
Speaker 2 (34:05):
So it's good to know that things haven't changed that much.
Because Levin go to the doctor and they're like, yeah,
maybe you're getting her period soon.
Speaker 1 (34:13):
I don't know if you're aware of this change is bad.
Speaker 2 (34:17):
Shut up. So she's screaming and freaking out. So Willie
runs in to see what's wrong, and she looks like
I'm gonna get out of hair, sorry, g I just screamed,
and the like. She completely freaks out on Willie and
then so then the doctor gives her the serum like
a huge ass thing, right, yeah, and she just goes
(34:38):
back to being beautiful. What I want to know? This
is my main problem with the Transform. My main problem
with the transformation. I don't give a shit about a
lot of it. How does she grow her hair long
back every time?
Speaker 1 (34:49):
What bothers me is the hair.
Speaker 2 (34:50):
Like we would have stages.
Speaker 1 (34:53):
It's just magically back. I love it because like he
takes care of her. And then he says the line
he's like leaving and she will you know, she's sad,
and he's.
Speaker 2 (35:03):
You must go.
Speaker 1 (35:04):
I have to get back to the laboratory. There's not
a moment to lose. That's dialogue that he actually says.
It's not a moment to lose. And then Wilhelm like
walks out he hears this, and he's like wearing long pajamas,
like he's Ebenezer Scrooge, Like what does happened? He's like.
Speaker 2 (35:24):
Yeah, but he just like Scrooge. This is a moment
where there's a little bit of there's a little bit
of a hole in her character development because for this moment, Yeah,
just this one moment. So she's crying leave it. Id's scared.
It's like witch, this lady is not scared any other
time in the whole movie. No, No, it's like give
(35:47):
me the experimental surgery, stay with me. I'm scared.
Speaker 1 (35:51):
This is the first time that she experiences the the
mutation thing, and every other time she's just back, I'm
care free and giddy. This is her one moment of
like that was scary.
Speaker 2 (36:05):
Yeah, and she's crying and has hunderstanding. He doesn't say
and he leaves. So he goes and Stella tells him,
there's a problem. What else haven't you told me?
Speaker 4 (36:16):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (36:17):
He tells her about her turning old again, and then
he had to use all of his serum and like,
they don't have enough serum, so they definitely need to
synthesize the serum.
Speaker 1 (36:23):
They need to synthesize the serum. Like I wanted them
to say it at the same time, like you know
what we need to do, and then just like, look
at you synthesize the serum.
Speaker 2 (36:35):
Yeah, he tells her, though he says, look, the dose
I gave her would have been fatal, but she's rapidly
building up a tolerance.
Speaker 1 (36:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (36:46):
So the guy shows up with the bodies.
Speaker 1 (36:49):
Now, yes, his twelve the twelve dead bodies. Did he
get the full twelve or did.
Speaker 2 (36:54):
He get he didn't He didn't get the full twelve,
but he took the money still, And I love this
this is kind of like somebody's a fish, remember whatever,
because the truck he brings it to is a fish truck.
Speaker 1 (37:06):
Oh at least that's.
Speaker 2 (37:09):
Yeah, Like he's weird in the same way that.
Speaker 1 (37:13):
If you're going to be weird, just be consistent.
Speaker 2 (37:16):
And shows up and he says, he says a weird thing.
That is like, uh interesting because right now the security
guard walks up and he says to it, he says,
why are you here so late or whatever? And he goes, oh, sorry,
I was friendly and the wife doesn't let me bring
my ship home after work, like and then the security
(37:37):
guy that lasted he goes, oh, I guess not. But
the security guy when he makes that comment, his voice
got so weird.
Speaker 1 (37:45):
I wrote, he's got a weasel voice. You have a
weasel voice right now, a little like foot Dead Body Deliveries,
isn't it? Doctor? Like where did that come? Freaking rat?
Which he has Tony The security guard turns out he's
gonna take that voice because he is a rat.
Speaker 2 (38:05):
He is a rat. But it's like, we see you
multiple times and you just decided to do this weird
voice for this scene. Like it's it's still present in
the next scenes but not like this.
Speaker 1 (38:19):
It's a heavy and he immediately goes and makes a
makes a phone call. Yeah, doctor Jermaine, I think there's
something you need to know, well, Tony Tony rat Yeah,
the security guy. He goes, but it is he says,
erma does this is doctor Jermaine, I think there's something
(38:41):
you need to know, at least that according to my notes. Okay,
maybe I made an assumption.
Speaker 2 (38:46):
No, no, he probably did. Tony the Ratt And Elizabeth
is calling from her bathtub and she's ready to party again.
Speaker 1 (38:57):
And here's here's my problem with this scene. How many
bubbles can she put on the phone receiver? That thing
was soaked in.
Speaker 2 (39:07):
Bubbles it never works again.
Speaker 1 (39:10):
Doing you just were like, let's scoop up all these bubbles?
Say they know I'm in a bubble bath.
Speaker 2 (39:15):
She is reckless as fuck, and she's again drinking, and
he'll like yeah, and he lets her know I can't.
I got a lot of work to do. I'm trying
to synthesize this erum. So she hangs up all horny
and it's like I'm still gonna party.
Speaker 1 (39:34):
Yeah, she's like insane for somebody whose life depends on serum,
she's like, I forget about it.
Speaker 2 (39:41):
I'm going out. So then, so then what does she
do but get that porcelain dog and put her foot
up on it to pull her stockings up. And Willie
comes in and sees her.
Speaker 1 (39:54):
Sorry man, sorry man, Yes, and he.
Speaker 2 (39:57):
Says the car is ready, and he looks so worny.
Everybody's super horned. Yeah, And he tells her that she's
like she was when they were together and now he's
just a man, and she's like, you're never just going
to be an old man to me, and then she
gives him a little kiss, but still leaves to go
find a stranger to fuck.
Speaker 1 (40:17):
Yes, she does. So.
Speaker 2 (40:20):
Stella and the doctor take the brain matter from what
they referred to as the drug addicts. So there's barely
any brain matter left in here. You must have been
homeless people and drug addicts.
Speaker 1 (40:31):
Drug addicts. Gregory's mad, he is mad right here.
Speaker 2 (40:36):
And he's frustrated and he's spilled.
Speaker 1 (40:38):
You know why he's frustrated.
Speaker 2 (40:40):
Why because he didn't synthesize the serum.
Speaker 1 (40:44):
That's why he's frustrated.
Speaker 2 (40:47):
He just doesn't want to fail.
Speaker 1 (40:49):
It's very important. And then like encourages him, you know,
she's like, oh, you forgot to add the reagent. And
then I don't know why he does this. He gets
so mad because she's trying to help him because he's tired,
and she's like, oh, you forgot to do this, and
he's like what, and he like shoves her, like because
he's clumsy, and thing knock it over because he's just mad.
(41:13):
And then it's like acid and it starts melting through
the the little countertop. Yeah, that's marble melting marble, Jenny.
Speaker 2 (41:22):
Yeah. And what I love is he just acted like
such an idiot. He has made them come and do
this surgery that's going to get them in trouble. Like
that's a guarantee. This is gonna get you in trouble.
He has gone and fucked her, stayed overnight with her,
and Stella is just trying to help him. He screams
and pushes her and then what does she do. She
encourages him. Yep, she's there for him.
Speaker 1 (41:45):
Anyways, Eliza snowed at a party.
Speaker 2 (41:48):
Oh, he says what he can, yeah, and Elizabeth is out.
She brings home the dude.
Speaker 1 (41:53):
Just some Mirando and I love this tracking shot morning
time after she.
Speaker 2 (41:57):
Bones his orange Speedo.
Speaker 1 (42:00):
It's like it's a slow tracking shot up his legs,
up his I wrote yellow gold. No, yeah, I wrote yellow.
And then it shows like a close up of this
dude's pinky ring. Yes it was yellow.
Speaker 2 (42:15):
I have it yellow in here. I remembered it differently,
but yeah, yellow.
Speaker 1 (42:18):
But it's just this slow tracking shot up his body.
And then we see Gregory showing up and then it
goes back to this hunk and an arm plops on
his giant pectorals and it's a.
Speaker 2 (42:33):
Claw, so he's running off her.
Speaker 1 (42:38):
It has like these bones, like doomsday bones out of
its knuckles. You remember the Doomsday from Superman. Yeah, it
was like that. That's what its like.
Speaker 2 (42:50):
Meanwhile, downstairs, doctor Ashton has arrived. He's talking with Willy Willy.
He's like, she's still asleep, and he said, well, yeah,
wake her up, go get her up. Then he's she
has a guess, and then this boy in his yellow
speedo comes running down the stairs and just leaves about it.
So I'm getting the fuck out of here.
Speaker 1 (43:06):
I didn't realize that drank that much.
Speaker 2 (43:09):
Yeah, was it like that last night? O?
Speaker 1 (43:13):
Oh my god? And this part I love because they're
screaming and he busts into the room and her turnaround
reveal is so awesome because she's like this she's posted,
is this just perfect?
Speaker 2 (43:35):
Still?
Speaker 1 (43:36):
So?
Speaker 2 (43:36):
Still does she can't mess up that makeup? That that's
they get one pass on that makeup?
Speaker 1 (43:44):
Fantastic.
Speaker 2 (43:45):
Yeah, it's so good. And now she needs a double dose,
double dose for what she had before that was already
a fatal dose. Now she needs a double fatal dose.
Speaker 1 (43:53):
That's a quad roof yeah, double, And he's like, you
should have brought him back here. That was stupid.
Speaker 2 (44:01):
Yeah, you should listen to your doctor.
Speaker 1 (44:04):
Are you jealous, Gregory? Are you jealous?
Speaker 2 (44:07):
Gregory? She's too hot to sit around, she's yeah.
Speaker 1 (44:12):
She's like, you can't expect me to stay home on
a Saturday night when I'm hot and sexy.
Speaker 2 (44:18):
No, well, but you have.
Speaker 1 (44:19):
To listen to me. I haven't found a way to
synthesize the serum yet.
Speaker 2 (44:25):
Yeah, And then she finds out that, like from the
Live rat, it was the best serum. So she's like, oh,
let's go. So we just need to kill people.
Speaker 1 (44:33):
Yes, yes, and she's like, you could get some well
she doesn't know that. Immediately she's like, just get some volunteers,
get bums, homeless people, college students, and he's like, you
don't understand, I have to kill them. And then it
like kind of it doesn't really rack focus. But he's
in the back when he says this, and she just
kind of turns and has this like little smirk like, Oh,
(44:55):
we got to kill him. That this is so bad bad.
Speaker 2 (45:00):
I feel like this is a spoiler alert show, so
I can spoiler alert this. Like Mare, she tries to
like take herself outside of the monster, but this is
the moment where we know she's just manipulating. When she
says that she's fully the heart her She's like, that's
that monster doing it, not me, not me. I I
(45:20):
can never.
Speaker 1 (45:22):
I'm it's instinct when you're a when you're a creature.
Speaker 2 (45:26):
I just want to dance in fack.
Speaker 1 (45:29):
Yeah. And Jermaine arrives to the lab because he's back
trying to work on things. I won't say it again.
Speaker 2 (45:35):
He wants to know about the serum.
Speaker 1 (45:38):
Yes, Jermaine wants to know about it. What is this
that you keep talking talking about? And I have a
signed and David from Hunter.
Speaker 2 (45:47):
Yep, buddy guy snitched and your license will.
Speaker 1 (45:52):
Better stut looking for a new job.
Speaker 2 (45:55):
Here was a moment where I was like, that was
interesting because I thought, for sure kill him.
Speaker 1 (46:03):
When they don't, they're just like okay. But wasn't Stella
there at the moment when this happens. Yeah, Stella is
not down for that. Oh it's not.
Speaker 2 (46:15):
I'm pretty sure Stella is coming down for whatever he wants.
Speaker 1 (46:19):
Murder lady.
Speaker 2 (46:22):
This lady could have died, Okay, I trust you.
Speaker 1 (46:27):
Okay, So now we cut to just we we cut
to club Paradise.
Speaker 2 (46:33):
Yeah, this is the scene the Rock Show.
Speaker 1 (46:38):
Yes, that was a different movie. It's so great and
it was so good.
Speaker 2 (46:45):
It's hot ladies singing a cool song.
Speaker 1 (46:54):
Poison Dollies, and they've got these two skulls up. One
is like a boy's skull and one of the girls
school you can tell you it's got sexy lips on it.
And they're singing a song called nice Boys. Oh yeah, rock.
I was so horny.
Speaker 2 (47:13):
I was personally on board with it being a horny movie.
Speaker 1 (47:18):
And and h Warren, she's like sitting up, She's sitting
there waiting for guys to hit on her.
Speaker 2 (47:25):
When the guy comes over to her before they go
to dance, even yeah, yeah, wrote down that I love
that he comes over like hey, and she just blows
smoke in his face. She does.
Speaker 1 (47:35):
He's so turned on with her blowing smoke in his face.
She's a oh, this one's a fire cracker.
Speaker 2 (47:47):
It was so good.
Speaker 1 (47:49):
This one's been her step on my pulse labor. It
is so weird. Guy comes over and they're like, let's
go dance. And she's the best dancer because she's like.
Speaker 2 (48:01):
Yeah, you shoulders. I could expect like a rich, out
of touch bitch to act at a rock show.
Speaker 1 (48:10):
It's like sotly bitch and song like snap up by
your shoulders. Now, dude, let's world. So this is going on,
and this guy decides I'm gonna dip her because this
is a song you dip someone to. Apparently he dipped
her and she gets a glimpse at her reflection in
(48:32):
the mirror. What whoa oh.
Speaker 2 (48:35):
And she mentioned that this guy is Ben and Tim
and Eric and a bunch of other stuff that Kurt
Sinclair plays the guy that she picks up at the bar.
I just thought i'd mentioned she sees herself.
Speaker 1 (48:47):
She sees herself in the aging reflection, and she heads
to the public pod.
Speaker 2 (48:51):
Yeah, she's got to get the fuck out of there. Yeah,
and there are two girls and they're doing some kind
of synthetic drug.
Speaker 1 (48:57):
Yeah, it leads blow and then they go it's a
new drug. I'm like, come on, you're storing coke because
come on, yeah, it's a new synthetic drug. Shut up.
Speaker 2 (49:08):
And we did forget to mention one thing from the
scene before, so maybe this can get added somewhere. But
doctor Jermaine mm hmm. The first time we hear Stella
get called doctor is doctor Stone.
Speaker 1 (49:21):
By him, by him because he respects her. Is because
he's not gonna he's not gonna throw her under the bus,
like he's just he's putting all of his attention and
he's like, screw that guy. I don't trust him. He's
an ethical screw him, you're fuck you. You're cool.
Speaker 2 (49:40):
You're cool.
Speaker 1 (49:40):
You're cool, you're cool, You're cool. And then she like
defends him. He's like, nah, I don't defend him.
Speaker 2 (49:46):
No, no, we're keeping your hands clean.
Speaker 1 (49:49):
Girl, as I respect you.
Speaker 2 (49:50):
So we're in here with the two girls do the
synthetic drug, and she's in there and she's howling in
the mirror.
Speaker 1 (49:58):
I love the conversation that these two girls are having
she's like talking about like, oh yeah, so anyways, this
guy's gyrating on me. He's just like, what's happening. Then
he goes gave me like twenty bucks to go get
us both drinks. So I left, Yeah, I just left.
He's like okay, and then they see her having a
(50:19):
melt down. It's like cheese. As soon as the club
gets hot, they let in the bridge and Tunnel crowd.
Speaker 2 (50:23):
Bridge and Tunnel crowd. I love that they call her
bridge and Tunnel crowd, and I thought, again, she's gonna
kill them. Nope, she believe Nope.
Speaker 1 (50:33):
And I love the this whole scene with her in
the mirror when she's got her mutation going worse and worse.
We cut back and forth between her a rock band
and shaking butts, and then it's her bubbling faces and
then like naked titty boobs. Yeah yeah, in that like
(50:54):
seas your little number.
Speaker 2 (50:56):
Yeah, and after it's like titty city Cities. Then like
the singer of the Like it's like totally because she
looks right into camera. Yeah, like she breaks the one.
I'm like, yeah, let me, I'm listening. Yeah, yeah, I'm
here for the lyrics. The lyrics are really good. So
(51:18):
her face is bubbling and she has to get out
of the club. So she leaves the club, and I
love this white ensemble. She's running the streets.
Speaker 1 (51:24):
Where did she have it?
Speaker 2 (51:26):
Where did she stashed this little there's obviously a coat, check.
Speaker 1 (51:30):
White silk robe with this like real red riding.
Speaker 2 (51:34):
Hood, yeah, fur hood. Oh, and it's so clean, it's
so clean.
Speaker 1 (51:40):
She's like outside of this and the outside of this
club is sketchy as all hell. Yeah, so sketchy. And
she's just in this perfectly white outfit and almost guys.
Speaker 2 (51:52):
Like, hey, lady, got any change?
Speaker 1 (51:54):
Got a change?
Speaker 2 (51:56):
And then she looks at him and he's like, I
fucking never mind.
Speaker 1 (52:01):
Aw, I'm not teuching anything. And so Monster Warren calls
the lab.
Speaker 2 (52:09):
Yeah, she finds a payphone. And for those of you
who are not older, which I'm sure all of the
people who listen to us are, the payphone used to
be everywhere, and you'd go in a little clear booth
and put some change in and make a phone call.
So you had to memorize people's numbers back then. So
even in this state of panic, she knows her doctor's number.
Speaker 1 (52:29):
She does, which you need to remember your doctor's number.
Speaker 2 (52:32):
That's remember your doctor's number, you guys.
Speaker 1 (52:35):
Technology is Yeah, if you're going to go through experimental
treatment for aging, remember your doctor's number. And so for
some reason, the guard is it Tony at this point
it is Tony. He's like, she's not in there, and
(52:55):
he's like, I know she, I know he is. No
he's not. Yes he is, yeh a.
Speaker 2 (53:00):
Week trying to blow her up. Yeah, he And then
the doctor finally answers and Tony sits and listens in
to the conversation.
Speaker 1 (53:07):
Yes he does.
Speaker 2 (53:10):
So she tells him where she's at the phone booth
behind Club Paradise. Come get her. And so then Tony
snitches again like the bitch, he is, what a jerk?
And then what we see, we see and the doctor's leaving.
He's going to go and get her, and he's going
to take all that's left.
Speaker 1 (53:27):
This is all that's like the last bottle.
Speaker 2 (53:29):
Yeah, so he's going to find her. Then, uh, the
monster that is Elizabeth now sees another woman going to
use the payphone and then pounces on her and kills her.
So this is her first murder.
Speaker 1 (53:43):
Blood great blood spladder, Yeah, great blood splatter on the
phone booth glass. Yeah, and then I was like, at
this moment, I'm like, is she eating her brain? What's happening?
That's what made the most logical sense. That's not what
happens in this moment.
Speaker 2 (53:59):
No, you just hear a lot of sound.
Speaker 1 (54:02):
Yeah, and then it gots to like the go ahead.
Speaker 2 (54:05):
The doctor's pulling up and he sees the body, and
she says, get me to the lab now.
Speaker 1 (54:11):
But like before she even like goes in there. For
some reason, I don't know why, there's like a bunch
of cats having sex or something. It's like cat noises,
like screechy cat noises in the background. It's like, what
is happening these alley cats? Get I got an orgy happening?
Speaker 2 (54:29):
No, wait, this actually adds something to this scene. Can
we get more cats? Fucking uh? So he tells her
in the car, I've almost got the serum synthesized.
Speaker 1 (54:42):
Yeah, I've almost got it so close.
Speaker 2 (54:46):
So he says, show me your face. She shows him
the lady's brain.
Speaker 1 (54:50):
Yeah, she drops a brain and fruit. I don't know why,
but this brain it's purple and pulsating, like do brains pulsate?
Speaker 2 (55:00):
I have never seen a brain in person. But I've
seen many films with brains and they don't do that.
Speaker 1 (55:06):
And I love it because she hands it over and
like she's got these weird squid hands. At this point,
they're like.
Speaker 2 (55:15):
It's a miracle I was able to hold onto this.
So he demands, He's like, I gotta see your face.
I'm your doctor. I need to know what we're working with.
So she shows him. It's atrocious. It's the bulging brain.
Speaker 1 (55:25):
Look, it's getting worse and worse.
Speaker 2 (55:28):
So then security tries to blockman, like nobody's in or
out of the lab. Now we're on lockdown, so she
kills the security guy too.
Speaker 1 (55:37):
Yeah, and the moral of the story is, don't be
a rat, Tony.
Speaker 2 (55:42):
They'll be a rat, Tony.
Speaker 1 (55:43):
You're gonna get killed. You'll be a rat. Rats get killed, Tony.
Speaker 2 (55:48):
This is a weird thing for me. Okay, okay, this
is the weird thing, right. He microwaves the bodies, Like,
why do you have that, like a giant body size microwave.
Speaker 1 (56:01):
I don't. It's so weird because it just says danger microwave.
What the hell is happening?
Speaker 2 (56:05):
Should be disturbed? This is embarrassing.
Speaker 1 (56:07):
What the heck?
Speaker 2 (56:09):
The professionalism is not present today.
Speaker 1 (56:12):
You know, I was looking. I was looking for a
body microwave the other day on Amazon. Surprisingly easily to get,
easy enough to get.
Speaker 2 (56:26):
Yeah, it's just so weird.
Speaker 1 (56:28):
She's back. She gives her more serum. She slowly transformed.
This is a nice little transformation back to her sexy self.
Speaker 2 (56:36):
And she's screaming and wiggling around.
Speaker 1 (56:40):
It's a good little transfer.
Speaker 2 (56:42):
So she gets there. Yeah, it's a good transformation. And
I was like, how are they going to do this?
Because I was watching for the hair, and right when
it was getting normal enough for the hair to come back,
they cut. Still is working hard on the typewriter and
she's tired. It's been an all nighter for her. She's
putting the books together.
Speaker 1 (57:00):
Period. She like she sleeps in this lab. She's constantly
sleeping in this lab. Girl does not have a home.
Speaker 2 (57:09):
Well, he asked her if she has any plants tonight,
and she gets really excited, like.
Speaker 1 (57:13):
She's really excited it's.
Speaker 2 (57:15):
Finally gonna happen. And then it was can you watch
Elizabeth or Ruth what you want to call her?
Speaker 1 (57:26):
I don't care.
Speaker 2 (57:27):
Yeah, to make sure she's good tonight. You keep up
with her and I'm sitting here, like, as much as
Stella has done for you, as much as she does,
you're gonna risk leaving her with this mad woman who's
just murdered super people.
Speaker 1 (57:42):
And Elizabeth is back to her a little up at herself.
Speaker 2 (57:46):
Yeah, and it's like, fuck you, just like I don't.
Speaker 1 (57:49):
She does not regret killing. He's like, you remember where
how you got that serum? Right? And she's like, monster
killed them?
Speaker 2 (57:56):
You killed two humans. You two killed two human beings.
Speaker 1 (58:01):
You're just as responsible as I am.
Speaker 2 (58:05):
Yeah, I didn't do that. That's a monster okay that
you made whatever?
Speaker 1 (58:09):
And she's like whatever and puts an eye mask on.
It's like she keeps putting an eye mask on.
Speaker 2 (58:14):
I'm tired of looking at your ship. She's eating a
huge box of chocolates and a heart shaped box.
Speaker 1 (58:24):
Like, who got unhinged?
Speaker 2 (58:27):
I need a giant box of Valentine's Day chocolates. Now,
that was for sure, Willie. I'm sorry, Greg.
Speaker 1 (58:37):
This is this is going to be the last time
that I have to say this, because he's back in
the lab and he's trying to at this time he
succeeds because yeah, damn time, dude. Now I gotta try
(59:00):
it out. And now for Stella is sleeping once again
and she wakes up. Here's a noise. Wakes up. Yeah.
Then we intercut that with Gregory looking for the rat.
Speaker 2 (59:13):
The rat is gone now, doctor Ashton, Yeah, he's looking
for the rat. And then Stella checks on Missus Warren.
Speaker 1 (59:21):
She's looking for can't find her, can't find her.
Speaker 2 (59:23):
Find her. So then doctor Ashton finds more of the
goo on the ground and then the rat attacks.
Speaker 1 (59:31):
And I love this little attack here because it attacks
him and he goes, oh no, and he throws it
and then it's just on fire fire. Imagine he's like
doing this and then all of a sudden it's on fire.
I'm like, well you got fire magic.
Speaker 2 (59:43):
So then you have that light bulb moment. Oh shit,
if they're just like doing shit like that, I need
to get back to the lab.
Speaker 1 (59:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (59:50):
So Stelle's hearing the phone as he's trying to call her,
and she's going to get the phone and as she
picks it up too late.
Speaker 1 (59:58):
Monster war and chops like karate chops the top of
her skull. Yeah. She's like, it's just insane. And then
she takes her brain and sucks on it.
Speaker 2 (01:00:14):
Yeah, what I love is Stella. She calls him Brando.
Speaker 1 (01:00:21):
Well because like he's like Stella Stella and this is
my other micro on set speculation. I want to say
that the writer wrote this entire thing with Stella as
a different name, and then got to this part and
was like, I want to do a streetcar name desired
(01:00:45):
joke right here, and I'm gonna change her name. I'm
gonna start from the beginning and change her name just
so I can have him go.
Speaker 2 (01:00:54):
Yeah yeah. And then Eliza says, oh, did you enjoy
your brain moment?
Speaker 1 (01:01:01):
Or yeah? Your brand, Your brand don't needs work. Yeah,
she's looking good again.
Speaker 2 (01:01:07):
And she's like, why is she It was just the
wrong place at the wrong time.
Speaker 1 (01:01:11):
Yeah, you know, finally done it. Congratulations, he synthesized this series.
Speaker 2 (01:01:19):
Congratulations. I make my own though.
Speaker 1 (01:01:25):
Because the girl figured out how to suck a brain.
Speaker 2 (01:01:29):
And she's not the monster.
Speaker 1 (01:01:31):
No, no, And she's like, I'm just I'm just gonna
like it. I like it. Yeah, this is my preferred
and I love it. Goes back to him. He's standing
next to the danger microwave sign and where will it end?
Very dramatic moment.
Speaker 2 (01:01:52):
It's like it could end now it could end. Now
you're the one doing this, you idiot.
Speaker 1 (01:01:57):
And so that's what he tries to do. He goes there,
he's got something, he's got something in his syringes.
Speaker 2 (01:02:05):
And what I love is he's pacing in a black turtleneck.
And I wrote that Brando comment really went to his head.
He's like, she's the first time we've seen him in
a black turtleneck.
Speaker 1 (01:02:17):
And he's like, you mean young Brando, right.
Speaker 2 (01:02:19):
Yeah, right, hot young. So he's preparing the.
Speaker 1 (01:02:27):
Injection doctor Moreau, Brando.
Speaker 2 (01:02:30):
Yeah, these are very different things. It's important for me,
a very context. So he's preparing the injection over Root's body,
but Willy comes in.
Speaker 1 (01:02:41):
Willy comes in, He hesitates, He's like, she's not ready
for it, sneaks out.
Speaker 2 (01:02:51):
Willy, Willy wants to stay with her. She wakes up.
He's like, okay, I'll be in the lab. So doctor
Ashton has a nightmare. Yeah, and they're really weird nightmares.
Mar he's just replaying what everyone has said.
Speaker 1 (01:03:07):
That's right.
Speaker 2 (01:03:07):
And then he has like a weird flash sequence between
Stella and Ruth.
Speaker 1 (01:03:11):
Yeah, because Stella was an option for him. What what
he did? Nothing but disrespect her?
Speaker 2 (01:03:18):
Yeah, like, no, like, you can't just all of a
sudden have a fantasy about her now that you've let
someone kill me.
Speaker 1 (01:03:23):
She's dead.
Speaker 2 (01:03:25):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:03:26):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:03:26):
Willie's like doctor cup quickly she's monster her again.
Speaker 1 (01:03:30):
Yeah, she's in pain. She seems like she's in pain
at least, and.
Speaker 2 (01:03:34):
He's like, help me hold her down. So they're holding
her down. He's like, hurry, doctor, and then he says
that's not She says that's not the serum.
Speaker 1 (01:03:41):
That's not it.
Speaker 2 (01:03:42):
Yeah. So then they get in a squabble, so.
Speaker 1 (01:03:44):
Will helping Gregory fight. Willie gets jabbed in the neck. Dude,
be dead. He's foaming at the mouth.
Speaker 2 (01:03:53):
Yeah, it was a mistake, he says.
Speaker 1 (01:03:56):
I'm sorry, and then uh, I have more serum. Monster
worre and breaks out of her bed shackles and chases
him and we I don't know where we are. I
thought we were at her house and now we're in
like a hospital or lab. Yeah. I could not figure
out like the locations at this moment. I'm I thought
(01:04:18):
we were at her house inside the lab.
Speaker 2 (01:04:23):
Hospital. They kick them together.
Speaker 1 (01:04:26):
So and now dumb doctor Germaine.
Speaker 2 (01:04:29):
After Germaine is there and he's got a crew.
Speaker 1 (01:04:32):
He's got a crew with guns and they're searching through
the hospital.
Speaker 2 (01:04:36):
Spread out and find him.
Speaker 1 (01:04:37):
He's running away and every person he passes she has killed.
Speaker 2 (01:04:43):
She kills him orderly. She kills a nurse, but she
leaves their brains.
Speaker 1 (01:04:49):
Now you're just she like shoved her hand through one
of the guys. She was like, that's why I have
these bones on the end of my hands. So get
punched her your belly.
Speaker 2 (01:05:00):
And then doctors Jermaine tells, have checked the lab.
Speaker 1 (01:05:02):
Good idea, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:05:03):
So they go check the lab. Doctor Ashton hides in
the lab and she's moaning at the door.
Speaker 1 (01:05:10):
I loved it. So she goes up and hides like
above it, and then all of a sudden she there's.
Speaker 2 (01:05:16):
Like a shooting because doctor Jermaine's got to shoot under
first that she climbs up.
Speaker 1 (01:05:20):
Yeah, she climbs up and she hides and then uh,
doctor Ashton is in like in his lab, and then
she drops down like there's a skylight in the lab.
Speaker 2 (01:05:31):
Old like those old things like we had in schools
where you pick it up and move it over. It's
like that grid kind of ceiling where you move the
things over, but.
Speaker 1 (01:05:41):
You can just get through the floor, like the grid
ceiling goes to the floor as well. No, I'm not
buying it.
Speaker 2 (01:05:50):
I mean I thought like she used her weird hands
and climbed up into one of those ceiling things that
when they were shooting at her, and then crawled in
the crawl space.
Speaker 1 (01:05:59):
That's that might have happened. That's not the way my
brain understood it. But it was an odd moment.
Speaker 2 (01:06:04):
It is odd. But they don't show how her journey
to finding him in there for sure.
Speaker 1 (01:06:10):
Yeah, it just felt like she jumped through a skylight.
Speaker 2 (01:06:13):
Yeah, and she finds him.
Speaker 1 (01:06:14):
Help Ley, it's too late. I've failed you. The experiment
is a failure, don't you see that? Let me go
and my suffering.
Speaker 2 (01:06:24):
So now she wants to die.
Speaker 1 (01:06:26):
Special effects right here, like she's insane looking. She's got
all these like floppy segments everywhere. She's crazy looking. It's awesome.
Speaker 2 (01:06:37):
And he tells her in this state, there's still hope.
Speaker 1 (01:06:41):
There's still hope the synthetictic serum.
Speaker 2 (01:06:46):
So then Willie busts in and he's younger.
Speaker 1 (01:06:49):
He's younger. But while she's strapped into the same room
with all the TVs and Wilhelm is Willie Wilhelm is younger,
basically just dyed his hair. Yeah, yeahs yeah, seems to
have worked in unexpected ways. Yeah, I'm all right, Willy.
(01:07:10):
And she's young again.
Speaker 2 (01:07:12):
And there a moment.
Speaker 1 (01:07:14):
Yeah, you have a really beautiful moment until oops, it
didn't work.
Speaker 2 (01:07:20):
Changes back to a monster. Yeah, didn't work, and it's
even more grotesque.
Speaker 1 (01:07:26):
She's got it was spilling, just spurning everywhere.
Speaker 2 (01:07:29):
Like cap and Willie tells him you never loved her,
you just used her.
Speaker 1 (01:07:35):
Yeah, for her money.
Speaker 2 (01:07:37):
Willy's pissed after watching the love of his life.
Speaker 1 (01:07:40):
Die, smashes a beaker.
Speaker 2 (01:07:44):
Now you'll pay and.
Speaker 1 (01:07:46):
Yeah, you'll pay you, and he's like.
Speaker 2 (01:07:49):
First the first the cher tells him I was fulfilling
her dreams. He said, well, I'll fulfill your destiny.
Speaker 1 (01:07:54):
Then he's yeah, and then he stabs her and he's like,
you fulfilled my destiny. You are proof that I didn't fail.
Speaker 2 (01:08:05):
And this is may you burning hell? Yeah, lieutenant. The
lieutenant and doctor Germaine find him and they're dead. Whatever happens,
I can can't end up worse than I am right
now again, Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:08:24):
I love like the cop goes in my god, what
happened here?
Speaker 2 (01:08:33):
That was such a big moment. RHN.
Speaker 1 (01:08:36):
Yeah, and credits and guess what we get a song
again another it's a different song.
Speaker 2 (01:08:43):
It's a different song.
Speaker 1 (01:08:44):
And poison dollies. This one's called turn out the Lights.
I love it hot.
Speaker 2 (01:08:53):
Wow, what a ride?
Speaker 1 (01:08:55):
What a ride? Indeed, So.
Speaker 2 (01:08:59):
The lighting for the effects was great. The lighting for
everything else was questionable because me some moments that it
wasn't consistent. For me, it wasn't consistent. But like, I
think they did a great job in most scenes, like
for us to see what we needed to see. It's
just like I think the weird added things that people
added to scenes we weren't ready for that I think, yeah,
(01:09:21):
maybe Yeah. The camera work was fucking awesome. You know.
I love the gory shots and and I even love
like that they didn't show the violence all the way
all the time, like they let the blood splatter speak
for it.
Speaker 1 (01:09:38):
I love a good blood splatter. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:09:42):
I really miss effects like this, like.
Speaker 1 (01:09:44):
The Practical Do you have a movie MVP?
Speaker 2 (01:09:47):
The Practical Effects one thousand.
Speaker 1 (01:09:52):
It's the Practical Effects team, which is Ed French, Dan
Fry and Bruce Spaulding Fuller and they're just they've all
been working since then and have had fantastic careers.
Speaker 2 (01:10:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:10:04):
Yeah, and rightfully, so this like the special effects is ah,
I miss it. I miss so much this style. And
before we even go into one of the things I
wanted to talk about, let's go into the next segment, Shelley.
That brings us to remake, reboot, reimagine, remaster, pre quo
(01:10:31):
or sequel.
Speaker 2 (01:10:34):
Yeah, And as as we discussed with g before, like
the substance, Yeah, kind of is a reimagining of this.
Speaker 1 (01:10:42):
Yeah, or even a sequel. It's like the thing about
the substance is like, uh, we don't deal with a
lot of the the lab stuff, which is I think
what hurts this movie in a way, as we were
focused so much on the science, the weird science that
we don't really even know what we're talking about. It's
(01:11:03):
all abstract talk of like synthesized serum, the brain juice.
There's no like, there's too much of that. And with
the substance, we just get to get into the nitty
gritty of old.
Speaker 2 (01:11:16):
Young human stuff, with the human side of it.
Speaker 1 (01:11:19):
And yeah, and.
Speaker 2 (01:11:22):
The torture and then the torture can get worse.
Speaker 1 (01:11:26):
And so for me, it's remaster on this because I
would like to see everything better. I would like just
in general, because I would like to see those special
effects in better quality, because you know, I don't. We
didn't really have a great place to watch this. We
didn't have a good copy. So I would like, good, Yeah,
(01:11:47):
I want to see I want to see it. And
the thing about like The Substance, which I wanted to
talk continue to talk about, is we do get those
style of practical effects in The Substance. In the third
act of The Substance has all of that beautiful practical
effect works that we just don't get these days. And
(01:12:09):
so to see it in a film like The Substance,
which is basically this movie just.
Speaker 3 (01:12:13):
With a bigger budget, bigger budget, bigger, hard, bigger, like
it's it's a better script. It Yeah, there's just so
much to it and like, so to be able to
see that type of practical effects now so inspiring and
that we can still do it and should And and
(01:12:35):
the fact that it got any attention from the Oscars
is like.
Speaker 2 (01:12:38):
It's winning awards. I mean hello, like, yeah, horror movies.
That's very rare for a horror movie to even be nominated,
and it's winning Awards.
Speaker 1 (01:12:47):
It's so and but my favorite thing was watching that,
like the second week it was in theaters because you know,
I was in a full theater with a bunch of
normal people had no idea what they were in for.
Speaker 2 (01:13:02):
Like, oh, this has got Oscar buzz, let's go right.
Speaker 1 (01:13:05):
I saw I saw that she was on Jimmy Kimmel
and he said it was a good movie, So let's
go watch it the new check him out.
Speaker 2 (01:13:13):
And like just leaving ghost I loved Ghosts.
Speaker 1 (01:13:17):
Just leaving the theater and like this, these like older
people going like, well, honey, I don't know what we
just watched. Yeah, it's just like I love that you
just walked into that blind because it's insane and.
Speaker 2 (01:13:31):
The love So if you haven't seen the Substance, see
the ship out of the Substance.
Speaker 1 (01:13:36):
Yeah, and it's you know it very much. Is this
movie like uh just in a in a you know,
a reimagined way.
Speaker 2 (01:13:48):
Yeah. Uh. And for our producer g Money's speculation, this
was a two four contract more than like this because
Escape from safe Haven AK Inferno in safe Haven has
so much of the same cast. Crew came out the
same years.
Speaker 1 (01:14:07):
They used the same sets, especially the one with the TVs.
They were used the TV set.
Speaker 2 (01:14:14):
But that's Safe Haven. Yeah, similar to Saint.
Speaker 1 (01:14:21):
But that's the one that I want to see as well.
Speaker 2 (01:14:23):
I just look, I'm interested in seeing.
Speaker 1 (01:14:26):
I was like, what is this film? I'll watch it.
Speaker 2 (01:14:30):
On several I M dbs And for those who aren't,
several of them did porn, so it's not a stretch
to think that maybe some of the names were from
the first one that met on a porn set.
Speaker 1 (01:14:41):
One of those people got their experience through doing porn.
They couldn't get a job, so they had to get
experienced somewhere.
Speaker 2 (01:14:46):
And I think a lot of horror people because we
like titties in horror, like a soft word, like soft titties. Yeah,
it's like you want people to comfortable showing them titties
and poor and people.
Speaker 1 (01:15:02):
Are they are turns out most I'm sure some of them.
I mean, this is what I do, but I don't.
I'm not comfortable.
Speaker 2 (01:15:13):
It's it's really interesting for me to be on a
set with other actors who I'm on the same level
as them on the said project and they say, you know, oh,
I've never done nudity. I wanted to do more mainstream
things like this, So I knew that when you do that,
you risk not being cast in things like this. I'm
just sitting like and google me.
Speaker 1 (01:15:42):
You're just trying to You're just trying to put traffic
your away.
Speaker 3 (01:15:46):
God, please, oh my God, for Jenny, Jesus.
Speaker 2 (01:15:53):
Well, I mean, look when I was, when I was
a young one in my twenties. They that's good. I
mean they still look good. Like I'm not saying, like
proof of how great my tits were when I was young.
Speaker 1 (01:16:07):
You want to keep going, Jenny, or should we go
to nostalgia of the week.
Speaker 4 (01:16:11):
Nostalgialy And this week's nostalgia of the week is eighties
porn star, So porny Beaver.
Speaker 2 (01:16:33):
Thank you so much forgive all the boxes. I'm moving
again because I got into another entanglement with management that
has ended in me finding a new place to live again.
That's my problem. You have me here to talk about nostalgia, right,
I'm nostalgic for porn actresses getting a real shot and
not just one of the other kind of shots. If
you're thinking I look familiar, you're either you either hang
(01:16:55):
out at the seven eleven on wheelshare you're a pervert.
Some of my films include the cult classics Cornhole Queen,
which was way before the whole country corn hole fad
and the Game is very different, Splitterous about a woman
with a split clit and personality, Uranus about an alien
hotty from a golden planet of thirsty babes. Anyways, I
(01:17:19):
missed the old days of your VHS tape being worn
out because you didn't have any other options. So you
became obsessed with that one girl who does that one thing,
and so you write to her and develop a correspondence
that leads to a relationship, and you promise her that
you're going to make her a star, and you actually
try to. But the movies didn't find their audience until
(01:17:39):
thirty years later, and by then it's too late to
be the next it girl to come from porn because
you're now the itch lady was nowhere to live. Well,
I got to be out of here by six, so
I gotta go. But I hope you guys look up
some of my classics.
Speaker 1 (01:18:12):
Well, good god, that was unhinged, Yes as usual, Oh
all right, I guess that'll do it.
Speaker 2 (01:18:23):
Yeah, I think so this was fun. I really enjoyed it.
Go see the subject too.
Speaker 1 (01:18:31):
I did too, Yes, do that? Everyone? Do that?
Speaker 2 (01:18:34):
Both of them.
Speaker 1 (01:18:35):
If you like these movies, you'll like that one.
Speaker 2 (01:18:38):
Absolutely.
Speaker 1 (01:18:40):
Do you think anybody actually watches the movies that we
talk about.
Speaker 2 (01:18:44):
I don't know, but if they don't, they're missing out.
Speaker 1 (01:18:47):
Missing out, you know, I agree? All right, then, well
we'll see you next time. I'm Jeremy Briggs, a F Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:20:38):
What else
