Speaker 1 (00:09):
Welcome to bbefits tell stories, Let me get comfortable and
enjoyed the journey. Last episode, we would remember Rizzi having
been set up on a blind date by her dear
Mama and a certain uncle Grippa. Up until now, this
(00:34):
settlement still hasn't sat well. But Riasy, though she agreed
on going onto this blind date with a tall stranger,
well all that that, that's kind of what a blind
date is is mm hmmm, scratch that. Never mind. Though
(00:58):
she agreed on going on al in date with this
somebody's American nephew, her heart was not excited at all
at all. I don't know. I don't know what that was,
but it smelled a bit of bettiness or maybe a
little bit of a sabotage from Rasy. They wanted for
(01:20):
me to do this without truthfully consultant me or well
they'll see me type thing. Mm hmm. Yeah, Ruezie's heart
didn't seem at the right place in this matter. The
future will tell do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit,
(01:47):
but in humility, count others more significant than yourselves. Let
each of you look not only to his own interests,
but also to the interest of others. Philippians, chapter two,
verses three to four. I don't know what it was,
(02:13):
but that day the sun was really sunning, and the
birds just just doing too much. It felt like one
of these movies where the sun rises as the bird
harmoniously come by your window to sing and bring you
the good news. Hm as Riese's eyes were slowly opening
(02:35):
up while being grateful of this magnificent grace she was given.
Reesy looked up and thought, Father, God, you know how
so uninterested I am to go on today blind date.
I thank you for life and for wisdom. I promise
(02:55):
you that I will not be mean nor malicious towards
this innocent guy, but I will be true to myself.
And that's how she ended her prayer. Not quite sure
what to make out of the ending of that prayer,
(03:16):
but I guess we'll see. So Riezie had her day booked.
Who said that because you go out on an undesirable date,
you should not look pang huh in other words, very
beautiful or attractive, certainly not rasy. So there she was
(03:37):
getting ready to go about her day. But first and
first she had to put something in her stomach before
heading to her hair appointment at the Dominican at two pm.
Riezy was confident that all would work out just fine.
Reason why I say that is because her blind date
appointment was at five pm. Mmm mmm. As she arrived
(04:03):
at her appointment, obviously late at two thirty, she was
surprised to see how packed the salon was. Would she
ever be able to leave on time? Anyways? Her mindset
was that she wouldn't stress herself and would go with
the flow. Ruisie's attitude was more of come what may,
(04:25):
so be it all right? Although she tried to convince
herself about come what may, it wasn't in her bones
to purposely be laid at an appointment. But it was
already three thirty and she was going just now under
the hair dryer. Ooh, this didn't look good. But she
(04:48):
couldn't leave halfway. She was already there. Finally she got
her hair straightened up, and boy, oh boy, who was
this fine chocolate man? Oh girl? All right, all right,
no time to waste. She was definitely going to be
late for forty five pm. Still had to drive back home,
(05:11):
shower again, and change clothes. As Rizzi made it home,
her mother started to see her just coming back callly
asked her. At what time are you supposed to meet
up by? She said quickly as she rushed in the shower.
Ee you uh, it is good to be young, Rais's
(05:41):
mother said, laughing as she went ahead, caring about her business. Now,
what you have to know is that nephew Riese's blind
date was supposed to wait for her at a train
station and she'd go pick him up there. Oh what
to say? So Risi got ready and put on a
(06:01):
very fitted blue jeans with a sexy buttoned see through
red blouse which she unbuttoned some to reveal a bit
but still live pleas for imagination. Her hair was floating
to the rhythm of the breeze, and her red glossy
lips were reflecting the sun rays to perfection. Nahna na
(06:23):
nah nah nah. Hold on a minute, what was all
this for? I thought? Moving on, Riezi drove so fast
but was still fashionably late. She sped up her pace
as she went looking for this stranger inside the train station.
There she believes he was. One hour later, this poor
(06:48):
guy was still patiently sitting there, not showing any signs
of impatience, annoyance, anger. Despite Rhesi's rudeness and unforgivable and
despicable lack of manner. Listen, gotta call a spaderespade. What
she did was wrong. She could have at least texted
him and informed him of her lateness. M Oh hey,
(07:13):
I'm very sorry, Usie said, Hey, Hi, No worries, said
our stranger, looking pleased with what he was saying. All
of a sudden, it seemed that all that may have
possibly been or thought was deleted. Rizie's look had succeeded
to have her forgiven the summer around. I am raasy.
(07:35):
You nice to meet you, Uzzy. I'm done. Okay, Oh
well shall we? My car is outside, said Rasie. She
had put the seduction game on to be forgiven, as
she somewhat felt really guilty, especially after this guy acted
so gentleman like towards her. She knew that she had
(07:58):
done him wrong. Anyways, they were up to the next
chapter of their date, heading to the restaurant. Since Dan
was the first time visitor of Riezy's city, she was
the one who had organized their whole date. As always,
the downtown was busy and restaurants for filling up, crowded
(08:19):
and loud, so they walked up towards the steakhouse place
and were seated. Dan couldn't stop graining while looking at
Riezy like she was the stake of the house. Yeah, okay, okay,
corny jokes. Moving on, So the waiter came to take
(08:42):
their order. Now, what you have to know is that
Riezy loves restaurants. Therefore, she usually knows quite quickly what
she wants on the menu and can become engsy while
with an indecisive person. Hello, what can I get for
you today? Hi? Said? Could I please get some French
(09:02):
fries with a medium well New York strip lawin please? Sure?
Any advertiser before? No? Thanks? Perfect? How about you sir? Yes, sir?
Dan still flipping the pages of the men you seemed
so confused, as if he didn't have a clue what
to order or it was his first time ordering in life.
(09:24):
May I suggest you anything? Yes, sir? Risy was a
bit thrown off with this yes sir that Dan kept
on throwing left and right to the waiter for simple
questions such as do you like fish, yes, sir? Or
would you rather meet yes, sir? Would fries be okay yes, sir?
Water or any drink? Yes? Gingerrero please so gingerrel Okay, yes, sir.
(09:57):
Rasy was trying to be highly annoyed. He was just
doing too much. Was in the military or something. Gosh,
it was just a simple order at the restaurant. After
fifteen minutes of trying to figure out the menu for
Dan and forty five yes, sir, finally the food had arrived.
(10:18):
Dan was a chatter. This man talked so much that
Reezy barely had to do or say anything. All she
did was from time to time say oh, and he
was on for another thirty minutes one man's show, while
from time to time looking with creepy, insisting X ray
(10:40):
eyes into Riese's blouse to the point where so uncomfortable
she buttoned up. This date was a nightmare and this
guy an alien. Literally he was not mean, but boy,
you boy that he was trying you an easy thought.
(11:07):
I kind of deserve it, so I let him be
in too him. Though she was long over this date.
Dan was bulky, about five five five six, brown skin,
just a normal guy. After they were done eating, Riezy
was ready to leave. Although Dan seemed like he would
(11:29):
have liked to prolong the date, no Resy dropped him
off close to his house and blamed it on tiredness
and called it a knight. Dan, very interested in knowing Rizzy,
deeply continued texting and calling her, but she would always
reply or would excuse herself with any reason possible. With time,
(11:53):
Dan understood that there was no hope between the two
of them, and little by little the calls and text
messages stopped. Hiam my love, Liz, hope I find you
(12:25):
well and that she've enjoyed this episode of Babyface Tell Stories.
Reezi goes on a blind date with Yes Sir. Part two.
If you found some value out of today's episode, I
believe that she'd also like the previous and next episode,
so stay tuned, my people. Obviously, today Rizzie did not
(12:48):
show the best of her at the beginning, but repented
herself towards the end. She understood that one who does
not try does not have. Therefore, she agreed to put
her stuf out of her comfort zone and explore there's
an African proverb who goes like this, examine what is said,
(13:08):
not him who speaks. It's by collecting information and knowledge
that we grow wiser. On that note, until next time,
I wish you a peaceful life. Stay blessed my friends,
