(00:00):
What's it? Everyone, welcome totheir edition of Tharn's thoughts. But it's
tharn Chetty. These are my thoughts. What you guys are doing well?
Doing fantastic people here living in Florida. Just watch the Republican debates. Jesus
Christ, that type of season. We got to sit through this madness,
people of just incessant news coverage ofpoliticians, sound bites, people joining the

(00:30):
race, people dropping out. Godhelp us. I feel like there's so
much negative energy whenever it's election seasonbecause people are sniping at each other.
And I mean, look, howeveryou feel if you're a Democrat Republican,

(00:51):
we don't need any more negative energy. You know, it's life is already
hard. But I gotta tell you, these Republican debates are hilarious. I
watched. I actually watched all twohours of it, and it's interesting to
me because all of these people havesuch great experience, or a lot of
them do. Like they're former governors, former senators, a former vice president.

(01:15):
And there's like there's an Indian guylike Ramaswam. He was like a
business guy. But even him,I mean, he's impressive in his own
regard. Like but when you seethem on stage like debating each other.
You're like, it's can this guyactually be president? There's like this almost
aura right to being president. Butmaybe that aura comes when you become president,
right, I mean, honestly,it's just it's it's such a hard

(01:42):
thing. I mean, came outin a running to be president and you've
got to like campaign, it's beenmillions of dollars and only one person can
reach the goal. Everybody else kindof just fades away. I think it's
a win win regardless, because youraise your profile to the American public.
But still, I mean, that'swhy these Republican primaries are so funny,

(02:07):
because they're just going at each other'sjuggulars, you know, and just sniping
each other and trying to get cameratime. And as a comedian, I
kind of get it, you know, because as a comic, I'm always
trying to figure out, like howam I going to get the most exposure.
I don't even know what that is. But I would love to be

(02:27):
back on TV again. And forthese politicians, TV is everything like that
air time. You have to getyour message out to connect with people,
I mean using technology, I meansocial media, TV, internet, radio,
whatever it is like to get yourselfout there, to get that message

(02:49):
out there. I mean, forme as a comic, to get my
brand out there, my type ofhumor, Like, how are people supposed
to find you? So I thinkthat's why these primaries are so interesting to
me, because you got to seethese people kind of scrambling for oxygen,
right, And I gotta tell you, some of these people, like like
the Santists and shit, like youcan see him like trying to force her
smile. He's like, I gottasmile at the end of this. But

(03:14):
hey, you know, I honestlydon't think any of them are gonna win.
I think Trump's gonna Trump gets pastthis indictment. You know, guy's
like a moving mactruck Jesus. Buthowever you want to vote, I mean,
that's up to you. I'm nothere to persuade you. I'm just
saying there's a lot of comedy inthese primaries, and it's funny that really

(03:38):
anybody can run to be president.I mean, if you can muster up
a support, you know, thevotes, like, you can run for
president. I mean, look atall are look at the past. I
remember Ross Perot running. I meanso many like independent people just come out
of nowhere and they run and someof them make it pretty far. And
then there's of course the people whoactually do run for president, who get

(04:01):
the nominee, and then they loseand then like you never hear from them
again. Like I mean, notthe age of myself here, but like
anybody here, remember du Caccus whenhe runing its bush, right, Like
that guy was like the Democrat nominee, right, so he ran, you
know, millions of votes were castand I think he kind of just faded

(04:25):
away, maybe him a teacher orsomething. But like you have your moment
in the sun, and then ifyou don't win, then you're just you
know, it's such a it's sucha part of life, man, Just
this election process, Like it's sobrutal, right, because one person goes
on to the highest office of theland and the other person just kind of

(04:46):
disappears. So I think personally,a lot of these people who are running
in this election, like that guyVivic Ramaswami, I don't think he even
wants to be president. Honestly.I think he's running to get his pro
file up, which is fine.I mean, I get it. He's
a business guy. I mean, look, it's the doggie dog world,
and unfortunately the American people don't know. We just want what's best for us,

(05:13):
right for our families. And youknow, politicians, I don't know,
do they want what's best for usor do they want what's best for
them. I mean that's the Ithink that's why Trump was so successful because
he was able to be an outsider. And I think Americans they want that,

(05:33):
you know, they want a reflectionof that and their candidate. And
it's it's hard, it's hard.It's hard to figure that out. There's
a lot of a lot of blusterand and just sound bites, and you
really don't know who's authentic or not. So I don't know. Shit,
I just watched for the comedy.I hope you guys are having a great

(05:53):
day. We'll talk soon. Takecare,
