Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Purple People leader Justin Extrom is bringing us purple positivity,
brought to you by Seventh Avenue Pizza before pizza became trendy.
That's right, ladies and gentlemen, or lady and gentle men.
I believe there's two people that listen to this, one
female and one male. It might be two males now

(00:22):
I'm not sure. Thanks Bruce, Thanks you guys. Anyway, Seventh
Avenue Pizza is bringing you this episode of purple positivity.
I love Seventh Avenue Pizza right now around the holidays.
It is perfect because you just don't want to cook
once you're done, once you're done doing the hosting of
all that crap poppin' a special or even a breakfast pizza.

(00:45):
I love their seven am, the seven am. Oh, it's
so good. All of it's good. It's just fantastic. It's
not just the pizza, it's the people, just like beer,
Bildy sports Special. Thanks to them too, Jeffrey, you guys. Fantastic.
Happy holidays to all you guys. And I'm just an

(01:05):
ex Roman if I didn't say that, and your vikings
are twelve and two twelve and two bitches who on
real man. They dispatched the Bears fairly effortlessly. They scored
thirty points. Second straight week they had thirty plus, very

(01:29):
nice out of the Vikes. The defense seals it up.
I was a little scared of the Bears. I thought
it was gonna be a little closer. And then I mean,
at one time and it was still only you know, thirteen,
nothing at half or whatever it was. It was close.
It was close enough, and you're just like, okay, let's
put them away. And then our Keavene father, finally the

(01:51):
last couple of weeks has kept the foot on the
gas pedal, just like I was thinking he was going
to when they got when the hired him Quasierova Mensa,
when they brought him in here, I thought it was
to put games away offensively, to get your get the
ball into the hands of your playmakers. And our playmakers

(02:11):
have been making plays, and Sam Donald is absolutely a playmaker.
Right now. There are a few times each and every
week where you're like, how in the hell did he
do that? And now we're seeing the difference between him
and Kirk Cousins. Yes, I love Kirk Cousins. He's now
getting benched in Atlanta Mike, he's kind of did that

(02:32):
to him. Kirk Cousins just he's good but not great.
Sam Donald is good, borderline great. This season man twelve wins.
You can't. You can't argue with it. Proof is in
the pudding. You can go strength to victory. You see
all those people drink the victory. You can only play

(02:56):
who you play. You can't. You can't play the Chiefs
every week to see how many many times you would
beat them. You just can't. And oh, by the way,
the Chiefs are one of like five teams that have
not scored thirty points yet this year. They only have
one loss, which is unfathomable all to me, fathomable ball,
unfathom a bull. I can't believe it. It's beyond fathom anyway.

(03:23):
Good victory over the Bears. Thank god. Monday night football
wasn't scary. Sometimes it's the Monday night football scaries for me.
But it was great, Like it was fun watching that,
stayed up the whole time watching the film the next day.
There's a few things that could be cleaned up. I'm
still really really scared when you get fast receivers against

(03:44):
this linebacker corps. They've been doing I'm glad Tony Romo
and those guys. And it's not just Tony Romo that
brought it up. Joe Buck, Troy Aikman, those guys were
talking about it at nauseum. How there's five or six
edge rushers that they have up at the line of

(04:04):
scrimmage and they you have no idea where they're gonna
line up, and it is fantastic. Dallas Turner, God bless
his soul because he is actually starting to pan out.
I was scared there for a little bit because I
was saying he was going to be up for Defensive
Brookie of the Year. He's probably not going to get that. However,

(04:27):
he's not gonna be on the bottom of the scrap
heap anymore because that sack that he had. Go ahead
and get yourself a subscription to Luke Bron subscribe to
his content, because, holy crap, he broke it down. Dallas
Turner's sack. He basically did a double leg takedown where

(04:50):
he just kind of goes down on one knee like
a wrestler. All the wrestlers in the world are like,
oh yeah, it's just a sweeping motion. It's not the
easiest thing to do. With cleats and turn and you
got them pants and stuff. Wrestlers are usually doing that
with a freaking single It on on a matt not
on you know, US Bank Stadium, freaking black beads the turf.

(05:14):
That's that's not all that easy. And that was a
fantastic move. And he was getting pushed in the back
kind of got him to the quarterback a little bit faster,
but man, that was fantastic. Pat Jones the second PJ
two you I love you. I think you are my
spirit animal. I honestly think you might be. I love you.
I need you to be healthy all the time. I'm

(05:37):
scared because Harrison Smith as of this recording, did not
participate in practice for Thursday. I'm not sure what he
did on Friday. I've not seen the practice report yet,
obviously because the recordings before that. But Harrison Smith, we
need you in this game, that's for dang sure. I
think this is a game where I want to say

(05:58):
the Vikes are probably to be two and a half
three point favorites around kickoff. Seattle is not the easiest
place to play, and the Vikings haven't won there for
eight long long time. They just can't seem to win
out in Seattle. They have so much trouble out there.
It's the twelfth Man, whatever it may be. Twelfth Man
didn't look that tough against the Backers. But the Packers,

(06:19):
I'm telling you right now, man the ball so damn
effectively in that first half. The first like ten plays
went straight to their running back, just went straight to
Josh Jacobs. And I think Aaron Jones might he needs
to have a game. It doesn't seem like he gets
more than seventy five eighty yards each week combined close

(06:42):
to one hundred with a catch here and there. I
think this is one of those games where I want
to see the Vikings offensive line take a step in
that right direction because you're gonna need to be able
to run the football, and the Green Bay Packers just
shoved it down Seattle's throat last week, so I'm hoping

(07:04):
the Vikings can do that open things up fasting game. Obviously,
that's gonna be just fine, but I don't want to
have a scary Sam Donald. I know it's probably gonna
be raining out in Seattle. They have a fantastic stadium
out there on that West coast, just gorgeous out there,

(07:25):
and I just don't want him to have a scary
Sammy scary Sam Donald. I don't need that this week.
And I think they have enough around him where, you know,
if the going gets tough, that defense kind of just
tightens up. Do they get cute at times where they're like, oh,

(07:46):
you know what? I think what they do so well
is they make sure that they put themselves in a
situation in which it's not third and three, four and two.
You know, they're making sure that on that second down.
I wonder what their second down efficiency is, because it
always seems like Brian Flores and his defense they pin

(08:08):
the years back, they get to the quarterback on the
super important second downs where they're making sure that teams
are like third and thirteen, third and eight, those are
a lot easier to succeed on where you can kind
of show that ephis front and then drop guys back
down in the coverage. They do give up that big

(08:29):
play on third or fourth down every once in a while,
but I do like what I'm seeing on that first
and second down, those first and second early downs, and
I think that's gonna be really important against Seattle. We
don't know as of this recording. I don't know if
it's gonna be Geno Smith. He did not finish the
game against the Backers, and it sounded like he was
extremely questionable. So that means Sam Howell. Howell started twelve

(08:55):
to fourteen games for the Washington Football Club last year
the Commanders. Does he scare me? No, because anybody that's
going against a Brian Flores defense for the first time
and they're a younger guy and they don't have the
super skill set of you know, some of the quarterbacks

(09:16):
that have beat the Brian Flores defense, like Jared Goff
and and why why can't I think of it guy
out in La Why why can't I think of him?
Right now? Matthew Stafford. There we go, Matthew Stafford, Jared Goff.
Those are the two teams that have really put it
to Brian Flores, and those are the two losses. So

(09:38):
I think this one it's gonna be another close game.
The last two weeks haven't been all that close like
I thought they were gonna be. I mean, in the
third quarter they the going did get a little tough
in that game a couple of weeks ago against Atlanta.
But I think this week it's gonna be tough sledding again.
It might be tieing like thirteen thirteen, fourteen, fourteen, and

(09:59):
at halftime and then the Vikes kind of open things up.
Third quarter, fourth quarter. I think they might get up
to it like a ten or a fourteen point lead,
and then it gets a little closer. I think the
Vikes go out to Seattle get their first win out
there in what seems like thousands of years. Obviously the
NFL hasn't been around for thousands of years. I think

(10:22):
Justin Jefferson has himself a night. This seems like a
Jefferson Hockinson and I, you know, I want to see
Aaron Jones, Like I honestly want to see Aaron Jones
finally get a hundred yards first time in a few weeks,
maybe five or six weeks, I don't know. He hasn't
hit a hundred for a while. It'd be fantastic to

(10:44):
see him because I think that's gonna be kind of
a key to the game. And if Harrison Smith does
not go, I think it's still gonna be tough. It's
gonna be tough goings. Gilmore should be back, but you know,
having Harrison Smith being able to be that Swiss army knife,
you know, playing center field, being up by the line

(11:05):
of scrimmage, knowing where everyone's supposed to be. He's that
leader that just shows it. I think that might be
one of those things, because Seattle has a damn good
offensive onslaught when they get going. DK Metcalf always seems
to get open against Minnesota Vikings defenses. And he's not
the greatest route run in the world. He just streamline

(11:28):
butterfly man fast. But I still think obviously I'm he
han around like I always am, and I think the
Vikings end up winning by four. Give me, give me
twenty eight to twenty four in what could at one
time be like twenty eight fourteen could be twenty eight twenty.

(11:52):
Things get a little crazy and then it gets a
little closer. So I'm gonna say twenty eight twenty four
by four. That means they cover the spread and the
over hits, which the only reason why the over has
been hitting lately is because all of a sudden, a
light bulb comes on in our offense and we start

(12:13):
just nailing away. I mean, did it look like the
Vikes were gonna score thirty last week? Though it did
not definitely did not, but they did so special thanks
again to Seventh Avenue Pizza. God. I love their food.
I see I love it. There's a lot of people
that are like on Haggy's No, I love Seventh Avenue Pizza.

(12:34):
Love Seventh Avenue Pizza, Love beer, belly sports. Hopefully you
guys are. I hope everyone listening to this, and you
know what, I'm even hoping even if you're not listening
to this, I hope you're having a great Christmas into
New Year. This is obviously I won't record until after Christmas,
but I hope everyone has a merry Christmas. Family, man,

(12:56):
get around that family. Love your nieces and and your kids.
Just make sure spoil the living tarnation out of them,
because you never know, never know how long any of
us are gonna be here. This is gonna be the
second Christmas without my own man, and I really wish
he was here. So anybody that has your full family set,

(13:16):
get it to him. Get to him. If there's something
that's maybe you're fighting, get over it. Have yourself at seventh.
To have a new pizza doesn't have to be over beers.
Eat some seventh. They have a new pizza. Maybe some
chocolates or something. Get just get over it. Get to
each other, see each other. You don't even have to speak,

(13:37):
just be in the same room, be like hey, I'm
sorry or anything like that. I wish, I wish nothing
but the best for everyone. I hope everyone has a
great holiday, and of course I hope the Vikings do
what they're supposed to do and win in Seattle, which

(13:57):
is weird, man, go into Seattle twelve. Nobody, I'm telling you,
nobody thought three games left we have a chance at
the number one seed. Would it be totally Vikings and
Minnesota Sports asking if they lost all three of these Yep,
I don't think it's gonna happen, because I think they're

(14:18):
gonna be one and oh after this week. So there
we go. Obviously this is long winded as usual, but
I just want to wish everyone good happy holiday. Bikes,
Please get some asks. Go three and oh the last
three weeks, get that number one seed, get that by
have everyone come to us Bank Stadium, And as always,

(14:41):
until next week, sco bitches,
