Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Purple People Leader just an extrom is bringing us
purple positivity. Brought to you by Seventh Avenue Pizza before
pizza became trendy. That's right, ladies and gentlemen, yet another
episode of purple positivity. And what more do we have

(00:20):
to be positive about than the Vikings being forte and two, Like,
I can't even I'm like a little schoolgirl bitch with
a with a with a crush man like right now,
I can't get enough of looking at this team. By
the way, this episode is brought to you by Seventh

(00:40):
Avenue Pizza, Beer, Belly Sports. Thanks guys, but my god,
are the Vikings not the most beautiful thing you've ever
seen right now? It's and everyone just kind of ripping
on the Vikes for like holding Sam Donald up. Don't
think of it as them thinking that they won the

(01:02):
Super Bowl. Don't think of that, like it's not yeah,
it's it's what Sam Donald has had to overcome to
accomplish what he's done. There's games like that game right there.
I'm not saying he put them on his back because
it was a lot of the scheming and it was
a lot of the defense that did it. In the
first half, but he ultimately made the extra play that

(01:26):
need to be made, and the whole entire team realizes it.
And of course they're gonna like find yourself people, surround
yourself with people that do that for you. I hope
in this twenty twenty five, this new year, you can
find people or you're one of the people holding up

(01:50):
a Sam Donald. Hopefully you can find a Sam Donald
in your life that you can hold up and you
can hoist, and then you can have somebody else like
Kevin O'Connell, our Kevin Lee father just smiling, just smiling
at you. That video, I'm telling you right now gives
me goosebumps. Like I basically stop believing in anything that

(02:13):
is holy. But right now I believe in the Minnesota
Vikings and Kevin O'Connell and this offense and this defense.
It's hard not to. It is hard not to. I
predicted last week that they were gonna win twenty seven
to twenty. I started like talking like they were gonna
lose that game, right like I just thought, you know,

(02:34):
and then all of a sudden, I said, you know what,
They're gonna win twenty seven to twenty. And it looked
like it was a lot like I thought it was
gonna be, but it didn't turn out that way. I
am a big fan of a healthy Ivan pace. I'm
a big fan of healthy offensive line play. Right now,

(02:57):
they're doing their best qusin Barry, all those guys that
come in there just extra little times. They're not doing
the greatest job in run blocking, but they're doing enough.
I hope that God Aaron Jones is healthy, because the
team is not the same with Cam Akers there. Cam

(03:19):
Akers made the catch of his life on Sam Darnold.
He actually said, I short armed it. Yeah, yeah, you did.
You look like just an exterim trying to do anything.
I have the shortest arms known to human existence. And
you almost extromed us. You almost did it. You almost
did it, man. You almost threw a crib play from

(03:40):
second base and threw it straight in the dirt. But
you know what, Cam Akers was there and he caught it.
And Kevin O'Connell loved it, and I loved it. And
I can't believe we're talking about two fourteen and two
teams playing each other for a division title and for
the number one overall seed. There is nobody, nobody, Nick

(04:02):
Swards and whatever he came up with, fifteen to two,
whatever he came up with. I don't know, man, that
was a bit, But now it turned out to be
a prediction because unreal that that is. There's nobody, nobody
fucking alive. There's nobody alive that had them at fourteen
and two in in their soul, in their heart, in

(04:24):
their head. No way, not the way things were happening.
You lose one of you your promising young defensive rookies.
You have a team that didn't make the playoffs last year.
You have Sam Donald, Sam freaking Donald man next coming
of Jesus Cristo himself. Cause you have offensive line go down,

(04:46):
you get defensive guys go down. Even Harrison Smith misses
a game. Come on, man, like they just keep finding way. Now,
look at this Detroit Lions Minnesota Vikings. Neither one of
the teams have won a Super Ball. And you get
the Lions fans teasing the Vikings for like being super

(05:07):
happy for their quarterback, for their beautiful, beautiful Johnny Bravo
lookalike quarterback and Kevin O'Connell, and that match made in heaven.
It's not Prozac heaven anymore. It's actual heaven. That's match
made in actual heaven. I love it. I can't get
enough of it. And so now we have Vikings going

(05:31):
to Detroit for the whole enchilada. Right now, Detroit is
two and a half point favorites, which rightfully so I
would say the way Detroit's offense can basically march down
the field at will, there's gonna have to be something special.
The there's gonna be have to We're gonna have to
see something from Brian Flores and the defense that we
haven't seen all year, and that's they're gonna have to

(05:54):
have the ability to cover the middle of the field
and still get to the quarterback. That's something that hasn't
happened real well. Jared Goff can exploit that. I thought
Jordan Love was gonna exploit that a little bit more.
They exploited it in the second half, but that's because
the Vikings had a little bit of a cushion. But

(06:14):
Jared Goff, I could see Detroit playing with the lead
like the first game where it was just kind of
a you know, haymaker after haymaker and then the Vikings
found themselves down by ten, fourteen points and then the
claw themselves back. I think it's gonna be much like
that again. Somebody's gonna get up and one of the

(06:37):
other teams is going to have to claw back. I'm
hoping the Vikings get up on top early because the
Detroit Lions that they can come back. I mean, they
their offense most they have the most prolific scorer in
NFL history now and their kicker, and that is an
awesome story. It was any other division great yeay. And

(06:59):
I don't I'm not I'm telling you I hate the Vikings.
I'm just saying or the Lions. I don't hate the Lions.
I just don't. I just don't want to be like, hey, Lions,
I'm not cheered for you, man, You're not. I'm not
a Lions fan, and a lot of people in Detroit
are happy for that because I've cheered for them in
the past and they went on sixteen. Anyway, let's get

(07:21):
down to this game. I think this it's another tough game.
I've said this the last like six seven weeks. I'm like, Okay,
it's gonna be hard, it's gonna be to the nail,
blah blah blah. I hope, I just hope that there's
some sort of scheme that the Viking can do. Do
I think they need this buy to get to the

(07:44):
NFC Championship game? No, I do not. I think the
NFC is very very tight, very very tough. Even if
they have the buye, who's going to be coming to
them a team that has one to get there? Do
I think them being in the five seed going to
Atlanta or going to Tampa gets you that one win

(08:05):
underneath and then say you go on the road to
Detroit or then you go on the road to Philly.
I'm not saying that's better. I'm just saying, don't count
your chicks just because say they do get that buye,
that might not be the best thing for this NFC

(08:27):
playoff picture. In the way things shape up, they might
not even be a favorite in the game. It might
be a pick them game, them sitting at the one
seed for that divisional round because it's tough. Man Like
the NFC playoff picture, I don't see any matchup in

(08:47):
which somebody is gonna be seven point underdogs like I
just don't see it. Atlanta Tampa, Atlanta. Let's say Atlanta
has to go to Philly. That might be like a
seven point something or other. But still it's a tough

(09:07):
playoff picture. So don't get your hopes up, don't get
your hopes down. This is a team that, hey, cheer
when they win, cheer for better times when they lose.
That's the way I'm doing it right now. This game, man,
I put the over under at forty six, probably forty seven.

(09:29):
Maybe it might actually be climbing up to fifty. And
I personally have the Lions as three and a half
point favorites right now. They're only two and a half,
so Vegas. Vegas knows a little something. Vikings are riding
the hot hand. Lions have, you know, too many missing parts,
twenty two to twenty five guys from the roster all

(09:53):
on ir man. That's tough. But they are still absolutely
a ridiculous team. I think they're one of the top
three best teams in the league, and the Vikings are
right there with them. I think this week you're gonna
have to play a perfect game. Gonna have to be
because Detroit is gonna be going all out and I

(10:13):
don't see you, you know, I was kind of saying that, Hey,
if one of the teams got up or down, I
think there's gonna be tooth and nail. Somebody is gonna
have to be down by three plus scores before they
call off the dogs and just say, Okay, I guess
we're the five seed. I don't think either team's gonna
give up because both teams want this. Both teams want

(10:33):
this bad and as well they should both franchises. They
would love to be a one seed. Can you imagine
like one of these two teams be the one seed
in the NFC? Who Yeah, I would love for everybody
to have to come to us Bank Stadium. Tickets are
gonna be eight billion dollars, but still, I would love

(10:53):
for them to come to us. Do I think that's
gonna happen? Goddamn right? I do. I think the Vikings
win this game. I think it's gonna be very very tough,
very very difficult. I think they might actually be down
by fourteen at a time. They could be up fourteen,
they could be down fourteen. I think the end result

(11:14):
is going to be an overtime battle. Vikes are gonna
win by six on the road. They're gonna win in
overtime by six. Let's call it, man, let's go. I
don't even know let's go overtime battle. Yeah, it's gonna

(11:39):
be something weird. It's gonna be like thirty to twenty
two or thirty thirty to thirty to twenty four. Let's
go twenty four to twenty four head and overtime Vikes
win opening drive touchdown thirty to twenty four. It's a
very explicit type of thing. But you know we need this.

(12:04):
This is something that would be so great. Let's say
thirty twenty four. That's my prediction. That means the overhits,
that means they cover the spread. I don't know, man,
this I'm just too excited. I just think I believe
too much, and I believe more than I have in

(12:25):
a long ass time. Ladies and gentlemen, So special thanks
to seven the Avenue Pizza Special. Thanks to Matt Geffery
and Bierbrelly Sports. We love you, guys. I hope everyone has
a fantastic New Year. Please be safe. I know you're
probably gonna hear this after New Year's Eve night. This

(12:45):
is probably gonna be New Year's Day into January. Tewond
when you probably download this on Spotify or whatever you
listen to my wonderful voice on but I hope everyone
had a safe New Year, snuggle up next to somebody,
hopefully that midnight smoochy smooch, maybe something new on the horizon,

(13:06):
huh huh, something like that, or rekindling of some of
that love that maybe you were losing back in the day,
but now all of a sudden you got it back
because of a nice New Year's smooch and a little
cuddle session all day long on New Year's Day. I
hope that for all of you, my friends. I hope
a fortunate twenty twenty five to both my listeners. Love

(13:28):
you guys, love both of you. And until next week,
obviously it's gonna be playoffs and skull bitches
