She is a master entrepreneur.

She has multiple businesses including Tahas Protection and Meadowwake.
Speaker 2 (00:51):
Thank you so much for being here today.
Speaker 3 (00:53):
Thank you so much for having me. I feel so privileged.
Speaker 2 (00:56):
I love it. I love it.
Speaker 1 (00:57):
And guys, she's Latina. So all you Latina on entrepreneurs
out there wanting to get that advice, wanting to get
that motivation, You're going to get it today. So first off,
I want to jump into entrepreneurship. What got you into entrepreneurship?
What was your journey? Where did you start with corporate?
What was your mindset when you decided that you were
(01:18):
going to work on your own?
Speaker 4 (01:20):
So I've you know, I grew up with a very
competitive dad who played professional baseball, so he kind of
like instilled that in me, that winning mentality, you know.
And I was in the alarm industry, probably the only
female sales rep for many companies, and you know, surrounded
(01:43):
by men, and I just always was a competitor. And
so sales contest and nationwide contest, and you know, some day,
some months I was number one in the nation. Some
years I was number one in the country, and some
months I was number ten. But I was always in
(02:05):
the top twenty. And so I always, you know, I'm
that type of thinker that thinks outside the box, because
you if you're in sales, you are working for yourself, you.
Speaker 2 (02:18):
Know, and so you're your own sales team exactly.
Speaker 3 (02:20):
So I always had some side hustle, you know.
Speaker 4 (02:24):
And eventually in twenty seventeen, I started Tayhouse Protection Services and.
Speaker 3 (02:34):
Just worked on it.
Speaker 1 (02:36):
So why teyhouse protection? You know, it's it's one of
those things. I think we were talking the other day
and you're like, it's not sexy, but everybody needs it.
You know, you're in a male dominated industry. We've actually
spoken to quite a bit of entrepreneurs, women entrepreneurs in
a male dominated industry and have been able to really
succeed and thrive in that industry. And I think that
(02:57):
comes with our competitiveness. Like you said, you know, you
were an asth fleet when you were younger. You had
that competitiveness. But why the protection parts. Why did you
go into that?
Speaker 3 (03:05):
Well, I was in that industry.
Speaker 4 (03:07):
I went for ADT and Tycho ANDRS, and so I
was in that industry.
Speaker 3 (03:12):
I know it like the back of my hand, and
it's easy.
Speaker 4 (03:19):
You know, it's not a luxury product, it's a necessity.
So I feel really good about protecting businesses and homes.
Speaker 3 (03:26):
Yes, you know, I'm doing my part.
Speaker 4 (03:29):
And so I became an authorized dealer for ad T
and there's only I believe three women in the entire nation,
and I'm the only Hispanic.
Speaker 2 (03:40):
I love it. Right, that's a huge I mean, you
should feel very proud of yourself.
Speaker 3 (03:44):
I am. It's not like I said, It's not like
you know, sexy or anything. But I'm very proud of that,
very proud of that.
Speaker 2 (03:53):
Well, it's what's needed too.
Speaker 1 (03:54):
And I like the fact that you said that you
had the experience in selling it, so you knew when
it was time to open your own business. That's kind
of what I did with the kJ Marketing Group. I
knew so much about selling that I was like, I
can do this on my own, and I went out
in a branch on my own.
Speaker 3 (04:09):
Your customer's buy from you, Yes.
Speaker 2 (04:11):
Exactly, absolutely absolutely. So you have two businesses.
Speaker 1 (04:14):
So the first one is task protection and then we
have a whole one eighty turn to meno wake yea.
Speaker 2 (04:21):
Now this is your passion.
Speaker 1 (04:23):
So you have one business that's a necessity that you
know is you know, it's lucrative, right, it's lucrative, you
know it.
Speaker 2 (04:30):
But then you have this whole other thing. Meno wake, menopause.
Speaker 1 (04:35):
Let's talk menopause, ladies, because I don't think we talk
about this enough, and I think this is the time
to do it, you know, and talk about getting older.
It's not a bad thing. And this is what Miss
Adriana is here to help us with. Tell us about
this Menowake experience in your revival per se.
Speaker 4 (04:52):
Well, let me tell you this may be an episode
number seven, but Menowake started because of the healing that
I needed to go through after a second divorce, and
God sent me to Costa Rica to try ayuasca, which
(05:15):
is plant medicine.
Speaker 2 (05:16):
So what is that kind of like the is it
a drug?
Speaker 3 (05:19):
No, okay, it's plant medicine. It's is it.
Speaker 4 (05:22):
A hallucinogen, it's it releases d MT in your body.
So you go into a spiritual journey and ayuasca is
like Mother Earth.
Speaker 3 (05:35):
I don't drink, I don't smoke, but.
Speaker 4 (05:40):
My emotional pain was so great after this second divorce.
And it wasn't because of him, because you know we
at the end of the day, he just wasn't for me.
You know, it wasn't a love loss. It was a
band aid that was ripped open from abandonment, wounds that
(06:03):
I had from my father, from a divorce as a child,
and other things. And the second husband was just sent
as a trigger for my healing. And so I'm on
this plane to go do psychedelic that I had and this.
Speaker 2 (06:27):
Was your plan, Like you knew, I'm going on the
plane to do No.
Speaker 3 (06:30):
Let me tell you, God sent me there. There were
synchronicities and I was sent there.
Speaker 4 (06:38):
I had never I people that will tell you I
don't drink or party. I'm always that designated driver. But
it was it was needed for me. This plant medicine
and psychedelics just got there's a two hundred and fifty
million dollar approved in Texas to do more research on it.
(07:04):
Plant medicine helps, and so when I went and I
did this, there were a lot of doctors, a lot
of lawyers, a lot of celebrities. It's where all the
celebrities go. I'm not going to plug them, but.
Speaker 3 (07:19):
Anyways, it shows you first you have to do a
diet before you go to the and take the sacred medicine.
Speaker 2 (07:30):
Do you have to take out all your toxins? Is
that what it is?
Speaker 4 (07:32):
Can't you have to abstain from alcohols, you know, any
kind of drugs, sex, You have to do a vegan diet.
You know, you have to prepare and psychologically you have
to prepare for this. It's not just like, hey, you know,
I'm gonna go try au uasca.
Speaker 3 (07:46):
No, I don't know.
Speaker 4 (07:47):
It's not like that because there's a lot of purging
and I didn't know anything about energy. So you know,
I go there and I have. I went there for
a week and it was beautiful full. The energy mirrored
my energy. So I got to see my ego and
I had to transform my ego and yeah, no, there
(08:10):
was a huge transformation.
Speaker 2 (08:11):
How long did it last? Like when you took the.
Speaker 4 (08:14):
It lasts like four or five hours? Okay, yeah, you
it is a beautiful thing. But you have to prepare
yourself because you are going to see the ugly side
of you. And I got to see the ugly side
of Adriana, and I got to forgive myself. You know,
I learned that every emotion is energy. And I learned
(08:37):
that through the womb. Just like we inherit our beautiful
features and or whatever, you also inherit through the womb.
The womb is a portal, and you inherit the good
and the bad. You inherit the past and the present.
So all of the unhealed trauma that is generational and
(09:00):
it's not healed, it goes to your children.
Speaker 3 (09:06):
I will argue that till the day I die.
Speaker 4 (09:09):
And so once you understand that everything is energy, love
is energy, Jealousy is energy, Hate is energy, Kindness is energy.
Joy is energy. When you understand that everything is energy.
(09:30):
When I got back and I was going through menopause,
I get back to Houston and I feel.
Speaker 3 (09:39):
A hot flash.
Speaker 4 (09:42):
And I was like, wait a minute, this is energy
and So there's something that has been right in front
of us, a symbol, a medical symbol that has been
right in front of us that symbolizes this energy that's
inside of us. The Indians call it kundalini, the Chinese
(10:07):
call it your cheese energy. Christians may call it the
Holy Spirit. But it resides at the bottom of your spine, okay,
and when it's activated, it flows up your spine until
it reaches your crown. But in order for you to
(10:30):
believe all of that, you have to understand you have
to think outside the box. That symbol that we look at,
that's the sword and the snake and the wings that
are on top. It's all over hospitals, medical ambulances. Why
(10:57):
has it been there. It's been in front of us
trying to tell us something about ourselves.
Speaker 2 (11:07):
So not everything is as it seems exactly.
Speaker 4 (11:11):
Not everything is that it is that way, and you know,
we've been lied to a little bit, you know, But
we can talk about that later. But so when I
understood this energy and I had the hot flash, I
was like, you know what, there's no way that our creator,
who chose a woman to birth our savior, the single
(11:36):
greatest act of love is Jesus.
Speaker 3 (11:39):
I love Jesus. Okay, there's no way.
Speaker 4 (11:43):
It just did not resonate that we that our creator
would punish Mary in this chapter.
Speaker 2 (11:50):
And that's what it feels like.
Speaker 3 (11:52):
It feels guess why.
Speaker 4 (11:55):
So when I just like started connecting with nature, I
would go to Memorial Park every day and I would
meditate and ground because because everything is energy where electromagnetic,
the Earth is magnetic, you know.
Speaker 3 (12:09):
If we were not.
Speaker 4 (12:10):
If you don't believe in energy in your body, then
why do you think they have the defibrillator to bring
you back to life? They shock you. It's electricity. So
we are we have energy, like electrical energy inside our bodies.
So after like I would pray and pray like God,
(12:33):
what is this menopause? Because we were designed so perfectly,
and it just did not resonate. I'm like, our creator
is full of love. There's no way that you know,
Mary would be punished. And so I kid you not
I had you know, I've always been like a very
(12:55):
holistic person, like food is medicine. So I made my
own little cream for you know, using wild jam and
for my hair.
Speaker 3 (13:04):
I made something for my hair, and I couldn't sleep.
Speaker 4 (13:06):
I made something for that, and then I just combined
a bunch of herbs for a wellness tea. And so
I had all these products, but I would still go
to Memorial Park and I'm like, God, what on earth
were you trying to tell us with this? And the
answer was, Adriana, it isn't awakening that women go through.
(13:31):
But because you have not healed, there's so much blockage
in all your soul, in all your chakras. Because you
got to think about chakras. You have to think outside
the box. I'm telling you you have to expand that
this Kundalini energy cannot flow, this life energy that is
(13:52):
supposed to.
Speaker 3 (13:57):
Take place in this chapter.
Speaker 4 (14:00):
It will bring you wisdom, creativity. God knew what he
was doing. We just have not done the internal work
to unblock these chakras and so to allow this energy
to flow.
Speaker 1 (14:15):
So with Menowwake, are we looking at more of getting
in touch with our energy?
Speaker 2 (14:21):
Are these products?
Speaker 4 (14:22):
So I will balance your hormones all day long because
my products are amazing. Okay, I carefully, through a lot
of research, you know, found the right combination of herbs
to balance your.
Speaker 3 (14:40):
Hormones and to grow your hair. I mean, look at
my hair.
Speaker 4 (14:42):
I'm fifty five and I had no hair, and you know,
so I went to you know, India for some herbs,
and China and South America and here and there because
God spread all of this throughout the entire world, right
and so I will balance your hormones all day long.
(15:04):
But you must do some inner work.
Speaker 3 (15:06):
You have to.
Speaker 2 (15:08):
How can women do that? Like, what would you suggest,
especially for.
Speaker 1 (15:11):
Women that are busy, you know, would it be journaling
or what can we do to help as we're balancing?
Speaker 4 (15:18):
So you don't have to go to South America to
do on yuasca right through breath work, okay, through grounding meditation,
but you have to sit in silence.
Speaker 3 (15:33):
Okay, when you go to the.
Speaker 4 (15:34):
Park, turn off your phone, don't accept calls from the
kids or anything like that, or simply you don't have
time to go to the park, go to your backyard,
turn off your phone, take your shoes off, and for
twenty minutes, this is your reconnection to your body. That's
when you start we're so disconnected. Let me tell you
what disconnected? You know how there's mind, body, and soul.
(15:57):
It's three things.
Speaker 3 (15:59):
It's like recomputers in your body.
Speaker 4 (16:01):
You got your mind you got your body and your
soul right, your your soul, your You have to reconnect
your mind to your heart.
Speaker 3 (16:10):
Again.
Speaker 4 (16:12):
We're constantly, you know, sending out emails, working so busy,
so busy, so busy, and then you got kids and
your husband and a board meeting and you know, events
and this and that. How do you reconnect? It has
to be a daily event in your life every single day.
(16:36):
Go outside of you. If you can't go to the park,
go outside, take your shoes off and just reconnect and
talk to your body.
Speaker 2 (16:43):
And I like that because meno wake isn't just about
the product itself. No, it's about education too.
Speaker 4 (16:49):
And think about this, Look at how smart they whoever
thought of the word menopause. It's programming you to believe
that there's a pause, and when there isn't, there isn't.
There's a tribe in Africa that when women reach this stage,
(17:13):
they're so knowledgeable they become elders.
Speaker 3 (17:19):
And some women.
Speaker 4 (17:20):
Ease into this without any symptoms. The ones that suffer
the anxiety and oh my god, it's all energy that
wants to leave your body.
Speaker 3 (17:32):
But you have to acknowledge the pain for it to
leave your body. You have to acknowledge where that pain
came from.
Speaker 1 (17:39):
Do you feel like it's a mindset to though, because
I feel so. I'm forty five and I know, and
we can talk more about the menopause piece, but I
know that menopause doesn't necessarily start right away.
Speaker 2 (17:50):
It's not overnight. It's something that slowly happens r us
as women.
Speaker 1 (17:55):
I think we're a lot of people are more vocal
about it now, but it's almost like something that it's
like we're taught almost to dread it.
Speaker 2 (18:02):
Exactly, the mind thing exactly.
Speaker 4 (18:05):
So they there's a negative narrative. Yes, there's a negative narrative.
And so you know, get on palettes.
Speaker 3 (18:13):
Get on HRT, get on this and that.
Speaker 4 (18:16):
You know what, change your diet, take time to reconnect
to yourself.
Speaker 3 (18:23):
You know, do the healing work. Let's heal your inner child.
You know your inner child causes a lot of havoc.
She's unhappy.
Speaker 4 (18:32):
Yes, forgive, let go. Forgiveness is a big deal. You know,
check your ego. All of that is important.
Speaker 2 (18:43):
So do you think people who have more pinned up
have a harder time at menopause?
Speaker 4 (18:50):
One?
Speaker 2 (18:51):
Interesting?
Speaker 1 (18:52):
Yes, that's very interesting because you did say some people
can go through it very lightly.
Speaker 4 (18:56):
But yeah, because that energy, that Kundalini energy. You know
when you feel a hot flash. I'm telling you, when
I felt that hot flash, I was like.
Speaker 3 (19:04):
Holy Toledo, what is this?
Speaker 1 (19:07):
And I get that normally during you know cycles, I
get that normally here and there.
Speaker 2 (19:11):
So I can only imagine. But ladies, if you're listening
to this, ask your body, ground yourself.
Speaker 3 (19:17):
What is it trying to tell you? Yes, your body.
You know when you're driving, let me tell you how
you know that the mind, body, and soul are three
different things. You're driving and you're an autopilot.
Speaker 4 (19:31):
You're driving and you're about to make a quick stop
or you're about to get in a wreck. Your body
knows it first. It's weird, it's you know, that's another conversation.
Speaker 3 (19:41):
But you'll you'll feel that.
Speaker 4 (19:42):
Adrenaline russ Er that that instant your body releases a chemical.
Speaker 3 (19:48):
So we are the medicine. We are the medicine. You
don't have to go out. I'm not saying don't go
see a doctor, no, but you need to.
Speaker 2 (20:01):
Work on yourself, work on your side. A lot of
it is mind.
Speaker 1 (20:04):
I think a lot of the ailments, a lot of
the things that we go through as women, especially as
we get older, are mind you know, it's in your head.
Speaker 2 (20:13):
A lot of it is related to your mindset.
Speaker 3 (20:16):
Well, a lot of it.
Speaker 4 (20:17):
Is also your body telling you you've treated your body.
Look at this example. There's three grades of gasoline. Okay,
the expensive cars you have to spend triple the amount
of the regular car. Right, the little Ford Focus or
little junker car you can put on letting yeah, and
(20:40):
then the the you know the cameras you can put
the mid grade, and then there's a super Treat your
body like a supercar and fuel your body with superfoods.
Speaker 3 (20:52):
That is an.
Speaker 4 (20:53):
Analogy that I have told my children and everybody that
would listen.
Speaker 3 (20:58):
Don't treat your.
Speaker 4 (20:59):
Body like you're you know, a beat up junk or car.
Treat your body with the best ingredients.
Speaker 3 (21:06):
And we have them. But the thing is, we live
such a fast paced life.
Speaker 4 (21:11):
We don't stop and enjoy you know, a kill salad
or you know, holistic ingredients that really nourish your body
and give you the nutrins that you eat instead of
taking a thousand supplements.
Speaker 1 (21:26):
So I love this, and if you want to learn
more about this, I want to definitely suggest that the
audience goes to menowake dot com because I think it's
important because it's not just a product, it's also a
way of life, it's a way of living.
Speaker 2 (21:39):
To get educated on those things.
Speaker 1 (21:42):
But I want to kind of pivot a little bit
and talk about you know, you owning these companies and
you being a you know, you're a master juggler with
three different businesses.
Speaker 2 (21:52):
We'll talk about the third in a minute.
Speaker 1 (21:54):
But how do you what is your advice to people
that are owning multiple businesses?
Speaker 2 (21:58):
How do you do it?
Speaker 1 (21:59):
How do you have the energy and what is the
you know, what are the biggest you know games that
you've had, and what are the things that you feel
that have been not so great?
Speaker 4 (22:10):
So, you know, life is a balancing act and I
didn't know how to balance it until recently. And at
I don't want to talk business after six point thirty,
I really don't agreed. I want to go on my walk.
I want to go reconnect with myself. I want to
(22:30):
go hit the sauna. I want to go I want
to go pour into this girl right here. So the
best thing to do, I mean, you got to figure
it out on your own, because there's like no formula
because you know, you get a customer who just had
a break in and you got to take care of them,
(22:51):
you know. But the most important thing is you have
to balance your body first in order for everything else
to be balanced.
Speaker 3 (23:02):
And you got to take care of you.
Speaker 2 (23:05):
So do you think us women put too much? We're
too hard on ourselves?
Speaker 4 (23:08):
Oh my god, I have it all taken care First off,
that perfection word is ridiculous, you know.
Speaker 3 (23:13):
Like so you have to.
Speaker 4 (23:18):
Just kind of like, you know, prioritize what needs to
get done and go for it and never stop being creative.
Speaker 3 (23:26):
I love that, never stop being creative.
Speaker 1 (23:29):
Yes, so I want to talk about you are actually
the founder. Okay, I've been waiting to talk about this, guys.
But this is her third business. It's a huge festival
here in Houston. It's International Women's Fest. It's actually the
first one, which is a really big deal. And we
are you know, kJ marketing groups involved. There's so many
(23:50):
different sponsors in Houston, and Adriana is pretty much the
brainchild for this international women's fest.
Speaker 2 (23:56):
I've heard of International Women's Fest in other places before.
Speaker 1 (24:00):
How did you come up with the concept and what
are we looking to accomplish here.
Speaker 2 (24:04):
If there's a woman business owner listening to this, tell
us about it.
Speaker 4 (24:08):
Well, men Awake planted the seed because women are my
priority right now. We need to remember who we are.
We have forgotten. You know, we bring life into this world.
Our wombs are portals. We are so incredibly I mean
(24:34):
we birth Jesus. That role was given to a woman.
But throughout ages, you know, we're so powerful that other
forces just wanted to.
Speaker 2 (24:48):
Maybe put it in check a little bit.
Speaker 3 (24:50):
Well they were threatened. Think about it. You know, how
is it that there's.
Speaker 4 (24:58):
A chain of stores that promotes sex and how you
feel about yourself, like Victoria's Secrets, but there are no
stores that help you go through.
Speaker 2 (25:09):
Menopause because it's that young factor, right.
Speaker 3 (25:14):
Think about this.
Speaker 4 (25:15):
This happens to every single woman on the planet, and
yet there are no stores that you can walk.
Speaker 3 (25:22):
Into and you know, be greeted.
Speaker 4 (25:25):
That's my purpose with men Awake. We are going in
a couple of years, we're going to have the Awakened
Woman first brick and mortar store where you're going to
walk in and you're going to see all of the
Menowake products. Because I want to be the Amazon of menopause. Yes,
I want women to go to my store or to
(25:46):
the website and have what you want. A cooling blanket, okay,
we got you you you know, smoothies, beautiful candles, soft pajamas,
good books, you know, and all that our men await products.
Speaker 3 (26:01):
Down to sex toys.
Speaker 4 (26:03):
We are going to provide that for you because you know,
especially if you're in a culture where it wasn't.
Speaker 3 (26:10):
Talked about a lot, you can walk into our.
Speaker 4 (26:14):
Store and we're going to have consultants there that are
going to guide you and help you.
Speaker 3 (26:19):
And I wanted to throw that in. I'm sorry. That's
going to be called the Awakened Waity.
Speaker 2 (26:22):
I love it well. And the thing is, it's like
it's a forty year old. It's the forty plus, right.
Speaker 3 (26:27):
You know.
Speaker 1 (26:27):
I think you know, we all get older, ladies, we
all go through it if we're lucky enough. You know,
getting older is a blessing. Getting older is a privilege,
and we look at it as such, Oh.
Speaker 2 (26:37):
My god, I don't want to get older. Well why not?
We should be our.
Speaker 1 (26:40):
Best each year, we should be better than we were
the year before, exactly. And I think that there's just
not enough information out there which is why you're doing this.
There's not enough information for the forty plus female that's
going through these changes that's maybe reinventing themselves.
Speaker 2 (26:56):
It's never too late to reinvent yourself. Absolutely, that's deciding.
Speaker 1 (27:00):
So you know what, I'm gonna start really taking care
of myself. My kids are older, you know, now I
have some time to really focus on myself. There's, like
you said, there's a victorious secrets. There's all this for
the young you know, bathroom body works, you know, but
what can we do for that that woman, that that woman,
not even older women, Let's not even say that.
Speaker 2 (27:16):
Let's just say for the women, the woman.
Speaker 4 (27:18):
That is any woman, because listen, when when your life
is unbalanced, I don't care how old you are, your
hormones become unbalanced. Young girls are taking my wild damn
cream because it will.
Speaker 3 (27:31):
It will.
Speaker 1 (27:32):
But you know, there's a perfect point because you have
a good hair product too, So that's you know, that
can be used at any age.
Speaker 4 (27:37):
At any age, No, my products can be used. It's
not just for that, because it's even great for men.
Even it's we're gonna come up with a line for
man calling me back to guys. Man, Oh, they go
through this too, that's their midlife crisis. Yes, they don't
know what to do with all that energy, you know,
(27:58):
and it's time to release that energy wants to their
body and they're like, oh, I'm gonna go get one
hundred thousand dollars car.
Speaker 2 (28:04):
You know.
Speaker 1 (28:04):
But let's talk about so International Women's Fest. Yes, you know,
you have an option to be an exhibitor, an option
to be a vendor.
Speaker 2 (28:12):
And options to be a sponsor.
Speaker 1 (28:15):
What is the great thing if you're an exhibitor at
this thing, it's getting your product in front of I
mean all of these women.
Speaker 2 (28:22):
How many people are we expecting at this event?
Speaker 3 (28:24):
Oh my gosh.
Speaker 4 (28:25):
I would love if you're a woman entrepreneur and you
are selling a product for women girls only, please go
to our website because I want to promote you.
Speaker 3 (28:41):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (28:41):
This is a perfect opportunity to be in front of
that target audience, yes, which are women of all ages. So,
and the prices are very reasonable and obviously you know
we're going to have women owned restrons that are.
Speaker 3 (29:01):
In every.
Speaker 4 (29:03):
Flavor, you know, Indian and Puerto Rican and Mexican and
Asian and uh, Middle Eastern, I mean just a mat
and some you know, can't forget our black sisters, you know,
with that great Cajun cooking.
Speaker 3 (29:18):
So but they all have to be women own restaurants.
Speaker 2 (29:21):
I love it.
Speaker 4 (29:22):
I am going to honor every single woman that has
paved the way for me in stem, in education, in politics,
and leadership, in arts and music and sports, and in wellness.
Speaker 3 (29:38):
And then we're gonna honor the legends of Houston, the
women that came before us.
Speaker 4 (29:44):
And we have great ambassadors and great sponsors, uh Coca Cola,
the Texans, A d T. Tayhause, men Away all Points, Warehouse,
kJ Marketing, you know, and uh hopefully.
Speaker 3 (30:01):
This will grow into a more of a national.
Speaker 2 (30:08):
Event.
Speaker 3 (30:08):
Yes, think about it.
Speaker 4 (30:10):
You know, we are the biggest consumer out there of products.
Speaker 2 (30:17):
I mean, let's just say, ladies, we love to shop.
Speaker 3 (30:19):
Shout out to you what it is.
Speaker 4 (30:20):
Bolton and Sophora, come on down, you know, Kindri Scott,
we love you absolutely.
Speaker 1 (30:25):
And I think you know, ladies, if you are a
business owner or if you just want to shop, if
you love to shop, God knows, I do go to
this event. You know, the whole point of this event
is for us women to support each other. And you know,
whether it's in business, whether it's in menopause, whatever that is.
We're supporting each other. And this event is a huge
opportunity for you to get out there and meet people,
(30:48):
mingle and just have a really good time. And I
also see Adriana that the International Women's Fest is part
of a really great cause.
Speaker 2 (30:54):
Tell us about that cause.
Speaker 3 (30:56):
Well.
Speaker 4 (30:57):
So it's produced by Las Lion, which is Becca Roberts,
Rebecca Reyes, rakilber Jorn, Gracie Sins and Paula Mendoza and myself.
So we created this organization called Leslones and the Rocky
Foundation is our beneficiary. Rebecca Roberts is the founder of
(31:18):
this foundation and basically when her mother was in a
senior living facility, you know, there were some issues, lots
of issues.
Speaker 3 (31:30):
And so we really want to create.
Speaker 4 (31:37):
Or we really want to support this foundation because we
have so many seniors and.
Speaker 3 (31:43):
Where are they going to go? Where are they going
to live? We need to take care of our seniors.
Speaker 1 (31:48):
Absolutely, Yes, these seniors a lot of times are the
matriarchs of our family.
Speaker 2 (31:53):
Absolutely we should respect to them.
Speaker 1 (31:54):
Because God knows they gave everything to see us grow
up and do things for us.
Speaker 3 (32:00):
Exactly. I love so you know, we have to. It's
hard duty. We can't just let them. Hey, let's let's
just will you into the little senior community. No, let's
have them enter this chapter with dignity and love and support.
Speaker 1 (32:20):
So, ladies, if you're looking to be a vendor, an exhibitor,
or a sponsor, please visit Internationalwomen'sfest dot com. You will
get all the information there, and then you can also
email Adriana herself her informations online.
Speaker 3 (32:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (32:33):
One of the last questions I want to ask you,
which I ask everybody who comes on here, Adriana, what
is your superpower?
Speaker 4 (32:39):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (32:40):
My goodness, I think you know my biggest.
Speaker 4 (32:47):
I want to see God in everyone, right, and sometimes
it's hard, but I love lifting other women or men
whoever i'm speaking to, just making them feel special because
we are all special. I'm also you know, a great pickleballer.
(33:19):
My superpower, I think is just a nurturer.
Speaker 3 (33:23):
You know.
Speaker 2 (33:24):
I think your superpower is just knowing energy.
Speaker 1 (33:28):
Oh yeah, I think that's your super well energy, Yes, so.
Speaker 4 (33:32):
I have to And when the more you learn about energy,
it's like your heart recognizes another heart and then there's
a little energy being shot to it.
Speaker 3 (33:45):
And I think about it.
Speaker 4 (33:47):
I'm like, I want to give this person love when
I'm speaking to them, you know, And so you have
to become aware when you're talking to somebody, Hey, you
know what they need love?
Speaker 3 (33:59):
Very true.
Speaker 2 (34:00):
Well, you know, funny story, real quick, guys, Adriana and
I met in an elevator on the way to an event.
Speaker 3 (34:07):
Not a coincidence.
Speaker 1 (34:08):
I mean literally, we had we were hauling our we
were late, and we're both lates hauling our hauling our
wagons in the elevator and we both were smiling at
each other, very excited because we were exhibitors at the Hispanic
Houston Chamber Commerce event.
Speaker 3 (34:24):
Thank you doctor Laud, Yes, thank you.
Speaker 2 (34:26):
Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Houston. We love you.
Speaker 1 (34:29):
And so we had such a wonderful event, bunch of vendors, there,
lots of women, and we never I told her in
the elevator, yeah, I'm a marketing company.
Speaker 2 (34:37):
What do you do? And She's like, oh, I.
Speaker 1 (34:38):
Need marketing, And we just never saw each other again
because we got busy at our tables. And a few
days later a few of my employees actually visited your table.
Speaker 2 (34:46):
And you guys just got along so well.
Speaker 1 (34:49):
They set up a meeting for us on Zoom, and
sure enough we look at each other and I'm like,
oh my god, I saw you in the elevator, so crazy.
Speaker 2 (34:54):
So we just felt that was like kismet.
Speaker 1 (34:56):
Like I don't know, there's some things where I don't
necessarily believe in coincidences.
Speaker 4 (35:01):
Because there aren't. So I had put out into the universe.
I need a marketing person. You know, I'm not a designer,
but you know I did design. I want to rewind
real quick to men Awake. This is how I knew
this was divinely inspired. At one of my walks at
(35:22):
Memorial Park after I got you know, I had already
created the lines, and I was asking God and I said, God,
you know what is menopause?
Speaker 3 (35:35):
Every day I'm asking and I kid you not. I'm
on my walk and this name just popped up and
it's like I could see it, you know, here in
the void, right and it was men Awake.
Speaker 4 (35:49):
And I get this beautiful feeling, this blissful feeling, like.
Speaker 3 (35:55):
Just start at my feet and just go up my body.
Speaker 4 (35:59):
And I was like, oh my god, this has had
to be its finally, like you inspired. And then I
took a couple of steps and then another word, the
Awakened Woman came up. So that's where I got the
name of the store. I love it, yes, and so
I ran to my car and I got on go Daddy,
and I bought the domain and then I designed the
website and you know, got the logo going and everything.
Speaker 1 (36:21):
So well, you want, you know, I think being impulsive
in that way is great because once you know that
you want, you got to go get it.
Speaker 2 (36:27):
That's how waste any time.
Speaker 3 (36:29):
Do not waste any time because we have that idea,
go for it.
Speaker 4 (36:32):
When I when I got the idea for the International
Women's Fest, I was actually like asking God, like God,
how can I promote you know, men Awake on a
local and state and national level. I don't know anything
about marketing, and so the seed was planted, you know.
Speaker 3 (36:51):
I was like, this is a way to do it.
Speaker 4 (36:54):
The International Women's Festival is brought to you by men Awake.
Speaker 2 (36:59):
Yeah, it makes perfect sense. It goes hand in hand.
Speaker 3 (37:01):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (37:02):
Well, I want to thank you so much for being here.
Speaker 3 (37:04):
Adriani anytime.
Speaker 1 (37:06):
