Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hello again, my friends, Welcome back to the t SMS Talk.
I just want to know it's been a blessful day today.
I'm thankful that the Lord gave me one more chance
at life. And you too should be thankful because you're

(00:21):
actually here listening to what He has for you today
and on the TCM show today, and I'm your host
T Sums. What we're going to be talking about today
is being a godly husband, father, anemy, and and and

(00:47):
we as me and we we we tend to go
through a whole lot. And we do have a lot
of frustrations and stuff build up into us in us
and and and but we deal with a lot. We
we we handle a lot. And some of the reasons

(01:07):
why we handled it is because we understand us a
lot of things of being a godly husband, a father,
and a man. So today, the role of a husband
and father in today's word, and a man and a

(01:29):
father and a man can be complex and even challenging. However,
by turning to biblical principles, we can find guidance and
strength and fulfilled these roles with grace and wisdom. So
this podcast today is gone to explore the characteristics of

(01:52):
a godly husband, a father, and even a man, and
how to embody these attributes in everyday life. So we're
gonna start with the God the husband. See. Being a

(02:12):
God the husband involves love, respect, and commitment. The Bible
provides clear guidance on how a husband should treat his wife,
emphasizing love and sacrifice. So we also know that we

(02:35):
got the love like Christs. The apostle Paul writes in
Ephesians five and twenty five, husband loved your wives just
as Christ loved the Church and gave himself up for her.
This first cause husbands to love. It calls the husbands

(02:55):
you know, to love their wives. Sheephoussles, lead and sacrificially,
so we have to do that. Be submissive as well.
Christ's love for the Church is unconditional, it's patient and forgiving.

(03:19):
So as godly husbands, you know, we have to strive
to emulate this love by putting your wives needs above
your own and support it and supporting her in all
aspects of life. And I know sometimes we mean like yeah, home,

(03:42):
what do for me? Well, got to understand something. God
put you to sleep to make woman as a helpmate.
So in return you have to be patient, loving, forgiving,
and putting her knees above your own understanding. She is

(04:06):
part of you. Amen. So we as men and husbands
have to show respect and honor. Seeing one Peter three
and seven instructs husbands to show honor to the woman
as the weak of vessel, since they are heerrors with

(04:31):
you of the grace of life. See this verse encourages
husbands to respect their wives and recognize their equals standing
in God's eye, unto your wife by valuing her opinions,
appreciate her contributions, and fostering an environment of mutual respect

(04:57):
and understanding. Let me say that again. Now you got
to you got to foster an environment on mutual respect
and understanding. Man. Now look uh, the godly father is like,
as a father, you have the privilege and responsibility to

(05:21):
shape the next generation. So if we men don't lead
by example as a godly father, things gonna gonna go
go for the words. But a godly father who leads
by example nurtures his children children's spiritual growth and provide

(05:43):
guidance and discipline. Now, God is in the discipline. It
is a is a A is a major key to
the generation that's to come knowing that also we have

(06:06):
to lead with integrity. See Properbs twenty and seven states
the righteous man walks in his integrity, his children are
blessed after him. A godly father leads with honesty and integrity,

(06:27):
set in a positive example for his children. See your
actions speak louder than words. So live in a way
that instills values, ethics, and morality in your children. Not
only just say in your children, be a blessing and

(06:50):
set example for even children that's surrounding you. Because there
might be some children, or some kids, or some ones
that around you that don't have fathers or a man
in their lives. So you have to set an example.

(07:13):
Lead with honesty and integrity. Yes, that's what you have
to do now, as as godly husbands and fathers, men
or man. You have to nurture, nurture a spiritual growth.

(07:37):
See in Deuteronomy six six and seven emphasizes the importance
of teaching children about God. And these words that I
command you today shall be on your heart. You shall
teach them diligently to your children. Encourage your children's spiritual

(08:02):
growth by praying with them, reading the Bible together, and
discussing their faith we have to be a source of
wisdom and encouragement as they navigate their spiritual journey as well.
That's what we, as godly husbands and fathers and a

(08:23):
man it should be. Now, when we talk about discipline,
you know, we think of first off the bat, we
think of spanking and whooping a child or something like that,

(08:44):
and we think of it being harsh. But there's a
thing that's called discipline with love. See Ephesians six and four. Advisers, fathers,
do not provoke your children to anger or bring them
up in the discipline and instructions of the Lord. Discipline

(09:08):
is an essentual aspect of parenting, but it should always
be done with love and patience. Correct your children in
a way that reflects God's love, focusing on teaching rather
than punishment. And that's what it is all about. Your

(09:28):
discipline with love in a way, again stating that it
reflects God's love. See the godly man. See a godly
man in bodies enter integrity, humility, and strength. He lives

(09:50):
according to God's will and strives to be a positive
influence in his children's lives and his family life and
in his community. So cultivate integrity, see Psalms fifteen two
and three describes a righteous man as one who walks

(10:11):
blamelessly and does what is right and speak the truth
in his heart. Integrity is the foundation of a godly
man's character. Uphold truth and understy in all your dealings,
and let your action reflect your faith. Embrace humility Philippians

(10:34):
two three two, chapter two, verse three encouraged. Do nothing
from selfish ambitions or conceit, but in humility, count others
more significant than yourselves. See a godly man recognize his
own imperfections and remains humble. See we're serving others with

(10:57):
this what we call a selfless, self less heart. Were
seeking opportunity to help those around us. We offer our time, talents,
and resources without expecting nothing in return. So we have
to exhibit a strength and courage because Joshua one nine

(11:19):
commands be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid, do
not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be
with you wherever you go. And that is true. True
strength lies in relying on God, and God only you
know you face challenges with courage, knowing that God is

(11:43):
with you in every step of the way. So before
I end this podcast, here. Being a godly husband and
a father and a man is a life long journey
of growth and devotion. By embody and love, integrity and

(12:06):
humility and strength. You can fulfill these roles in any
way that honors God and blesses those around you. So
what you must do, seek God's guidance and wisdom and
trust his plan for your life. And that has been

(12:26):
the podcast for the day. Thank you again for tuning
in to GCM's talk. Until we all meet again, and
you know, Matthew eighteen and twenty where two or three
are gathered my name there I am also be blessed

(12:48):
until the next time. Amen.
