Five HORRIFIC True Crime Stories About Real Monsters! - True Crime Documentary

"Five True Crime Stories About Real Monsters!" is a gripping exploration of some of the most disturbing and chilling true crime cases involving individuals whose actions shocked the world. From sadistic killers and manipulative masterminds to unthinkable acts of cruelty, this collection highlights the darkest side of human nature, portraying real-life figures who earned the label “monster” through their horrific crimes. These stories delve into the psychological depths and consequences of evil, leaving a haunting impression long after reading.

Celeste Manno was a 23-year-old woman from Melbourne, Australia, whose life was tragically ended in November 2020 by her former co-worker, Luay Sako. Sako had developed an obsessive fixation on Celeste after being dismissed from their shared workplace in 2019. Despite Celeste obtaining an intervention order against him, Sako continued to stalk her. On the night of the murder, he broke into her family home and stabbed her 23 times while she slept.

In February 2024, Sako was sentenced to 36 years in prison, with a non-parole period of 30 years. The sentencing judge acknowledged the severity of the crime but cited Sako's diagnosed extreme personality disorder as a factor reducing his moral culpability. This decision sparked outrage among Celeste's family and supporters, who felt that the sentence was too lenient given the premeditated nature of the crime.

Celeste's mother, Aggie Di Mauro, has been a vocal advocate for justice reform following her daughter's death. She launched a petition calling for mandatory life sentences for murderers and the implementation of all 45 recommendations from the Victorian Law Reform Commission's stalking report. The petition has garnered over 62,000 signatures, reflecting widespread public support for stronger measures against stalking and violence.

In March 2024, supporters rallied in Melbourne, marching from Parliament House to the Supreme Court, demanding justice for Celeste and calling for legislative changes to better protect victims of stalking.

Celeste Manno's case has highlighted significant gaps in the legal system's handling of stalking and has become a catalyst for discussions on the need for more robust protections for potential victims.

Lacey Ellen Fletcher was a 36-year-old woman from Slaughter, Louisiana, whose death in January 2022 exposed a harrowing case of prolonged neglect. Diagnosed with autism and severe social anxiety, Lacey became increasingly reclusive in her early twenties. Her parents, Sheila and Clay Fletcher, withdrew her from school and claimed she chose to remain on the living room couch for over a decade. However, investigations revealed that she was unable to care for herself and was left without medical attention for years.

When emergency responders arrived at the Fletcher home, they discovered Lacey's body fused to the couch, surrounded by feces, urine, and insect infestations. She weighed only 96 pounds and suffered from severe malnutrition, pressure ulcers, and bone infections. The coroner described the scene as "appalling and horrific," noting that starvation was a primary cause of death.

In March 2024, Sheila and Clay Fletcher pleaded no contest to manslaughter charges and were each sentenced to 40 years in prison, with 20 years suspended and five years of supervised probation. The judge condemned their failure to seek medical care for their daughter, emphasizing that the tragedy was preventable with proper intervention.

The case sparked widespread outrage and discussions about the responsibilities of caregivers, especially for individuals with disabilities. It highlighted the need for better support systems and monitoring to prevent similar tragedies.

Miya Marcano was a 19-year-old college student from Pembroke Pines, Florida, attending Valencia College in Orlando. On September 24, 2021, she disappeared from her apartment complex, Arden Villas, where she also worked. Her body was discovered eight days later in a wooded area near another apartment complex. The primary suspect, a maintenance worker named Armando Caballero, had used a master key to enter her apartment and was found dead by suicide shortly after her disappearance. In response to this tragedy, "Miya's Law" was enacted in Florida, mandating stricter background checks and key access protocols for apartment employees to enhance tenant safety.

Brice Rhodes is a convicted murderer from Louisville, Kentucky, sentenced in March 2024 to three consecutive life terms without the possibility of parole. In 2016, Rhodes fatally shot Christopher Jones and, weeks later, murdered two teenage brothers, Larry Ordway (14) and Maurice Gordon (16), after they witnessed the initial killing. The case was marked by its brutality and Rhodes' disrup

Speaker 1 (00:34):
Celeste Mano's life was a mosaic of ambition, kindness, and promise.
Born on March ninth, nineteen ninety five in Melbourne, Australia,
Celeste was the youngest in her close knit family. Her mother,
Aggie Tomorrow and her stepfather Tony raised her in an
environment where empathy and determination were valued. Celeste's radiant personality

(00:59):
made her a beacon of positivity among her friends and colleagues.
She was deeply connected to her older brother Alessandro, with
whom she shared an unbreakable sibling bond, often seen through
their playful banter and mutual support. Academically gifted, Celeste pursued
a degree in criminology and psychology at R Mit University.

(01:21):
Her interest in these fields reflected her innate curiosity about
human behavior and her desire to make a difference in society.
Friends described her as someone who genuinely cared about the
people around her, often going out of her way to
help others, whether through volunteering or offering a listening ear.
Her passion for justice and mental health advocacy painted a

(01:44):
clear picture of the future she envisioned for herself. After graduating,
Celeste secured a job at a call center for Cerco,
a company contracted to manage government services, including COVID nineteen
contact tracing during the pandemic. Her role in involved assisting
people with job seeker support and navigating the complexities of

(02:04):
government services. While the work could be challenging, Celeste approached
it with empathy and professionalism, often offering more than just
procedural help. She gave reassurance to people struggling through tough times.
Outside of work, Celeste was known for her vibrant social
life and creative spirit. She loved painting, attending music festivals,

(02:27):
and spending time with her friends, who admired her ability
to light up any room she entered. Her bright smile
and infectious laugh were hallmarks of her personality. She was
also deeply in love with her boyfriend, Chris Ridsdale, whom
she had met through mutual friends. Their relationship was filled
with warmth, support, and shared dreams of the future. Celeste's

(02:49):
life in Mirnda, a northern suburb of Melbourne, was peaceful
and filled with routine joys, family dinners, quiet evenings with
her boyfriend, and weekends spent exploring the city with friends. However,
beneath this idyllic exterior, an unrelenting shadow was beginning to
creep into her life, one that neither she nor her

(03:10):
loved ones could have anticipated. Luai Sako was a man
whose life was marked by instability, isolation, and growing mental
health struggles. Born in Melbourne to an Assyrian family, Sako's
early years were characterized by a sense of disconnection. Friends
and neighbors recalled him as a quiet, withdrawn figure, someone

(03:32):
who struggled to maintain relationships and often seemed out of
sync with those around him. His childhood and adolescence were
largely unremarkable to those outside his immediate circle, but beneath
the surface, troubling patterns were beginning to emerge. As Sako
grew older, signs of deeper psychological issues.

Speaker 2 (03:52):
Became more apparent.

Speaker 1 (03:53):
He was known to have battled mental health challenges, though
the specifics of any formal diagnosis remained unclear. Friends and
acquaintances noted his erratic behavior and difficulty in social situations,
often perceiving him as someone who lacked the tools to
navigate normal interpersonal relationships. While many struggled with such issues,

(04:14):
Sako's inability to connect healthily with others began to manifest
in more concerning ways. Employment was sporadic for Sako, with
a string of short term jobs that never seemed to last.
One of these jobs brought him into brief contact with
Celeste Manno. Their interaction occurred while Celeste was working at Serko,

(04:35):
where Sako became a client in need of assistance with
job seeker support. The encounter was brief and professional, but
for Sako, it ignited an unhealthy fixation that would soon
spiral out of control. Following this fleeting interaction, Sako's obsession
with Celeste began to take root. What might have seemed

(04:56):
like a harmless crush quickly evolved into something more sinister.
Sako started following Celeste on social media, sending her unsolicited
messages that grew increasingly frequent and invasive. His messages, at
first polite and casual, soon became persistent and unsettling. Celeste,

(05:16):
trying to maintain professionalism, responded briefly at first, but it
became clear that Sako's attention was neither normal nor welcome.
When Celeste finally blocked him on social media, thinking it
would put an end to his advances, Sako's obsession only deepened.
He created new accounts, found ways to bypass her attempts

(05:37):
to avoid him, and continued his barrage of unwonted messages.
What made his behavior particularly alarming was the intensity with
which he fixated on Celeste, treating her not as a
person with boundaries, but as an object.

Speaker 2 (05:52):
Of his obsession.

Speaker 1 (05:53):
Sako's fixation wasn't just online. He began making appearances near
Celeste's home and workplace, creating a growing sense of fear
and unease. His behavior was more than just that of
a spurned admirer.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
It was the.

Speaker 1 (06:09):
Manifestation of deeper psychological issues that had gone unchecked for
too long. Despite clear signs that his behavior was escalating
into dangerous territory, Sako showed no intention of stopping. Friends
and family of Sako, if aware of his actions, either
underestimated the severity of his obsession or were powerless to intervene.

(06:34):
His life continued to unravel quietly, his world narrowing as
his fixation on Celeste consumed more of his thoughts and actions.
What began as a brief encounter at a call center
was rapidly becoming a dangerous prelude to something far more tragic.
After Celestemano blocked Luey Sako on social media, she hoped

(06:55):
the unsettling chapter would close, but Sako's obsession only deepened
and his behavior took a darker turn. What began as
a flood of unwonted messages escalated into a full scale
campaign of harassment, transforming Celeste's life into a daily struggle
for safety and peace of mind. Sako began creating new
social media accounts to bypass Celeste's blocks. Each time she

(07:19):
managed to shut one down, another would appear. His messages
grew increasingly erratic, swinging between declarations of love and anger
fueled rants. When he received no response, Sako's words, once
merely uncomfortable, became threatening. He would describe his frustration at
being ignored, his resentment festering with every unanswered message. The

(07:42):
digital harassment was relentless, leaving Celeste constantly on edge. But
Sako's obsession wasn't limited to the virtual world. He began
appearing near Celeste's home and mirnda watching from a distance.
Friends and family noticed her growing anxiety. She confided in
them about the stalking, expressing how unsettled she felt, but

(08:03):
there was a sense of helplessness. The situation felt surreal.
How could a brief professional interaction have led to such
an unrelenting fixation. Celeste tried to take control of the
situation by reporting Sako's behavior to the police. She provided
evidence of his harassment, including screenshots of the messages and

(08:24):
details of his appearances.

Speaker 2 (08:25):
Near her home.

Speaker 1 (08:27):
However, the legal framework surrounding stalking at the time left
gaps in Protection authorities acknowledged the harassment, but struggled to
take decisive action due to the lack of immediate violent threats.
To them, Sacho was a nuisance, but not yet a
clear danger. Despite these setbacks, Celeste remained proactive. She filed

(08:51):
for intervention orders and continued to document every interaction, hoping
that a paper trail would eventually compel the authorities to act,
But with each which passing day, the stalking intensified. Sacho
became bolder, undeterred by the legal boundaries Celeste tried to set.
His behavior suggested a man consumed by delusion, convinced that

(09:13):
his fixation on Celeste was justified, even reciprocated. In his
twisted perception. The psychological toll on Celeste was profound. Friends
recalled how her vibrant spirit began to dim under the
constant pressure. She became hyper vigilant, altering her routines and
looking over her shoulder whenever she left her home. Her family,

(09:35):
particularly her mother Aggie, felt the strain as well, sharing
in Celeste's fear but feeling powerless to protect her. By
late twenty twenty, Sako's harassment had reached a critical point.
He was no longer content with virtual stalking or distant observation.
His messages hinted at darker intentions, filled with veiled threats

(09:57):
and allusions to violence. Celeste, aware of the potential danger,
became increasingly desperate for protection, but the system that was
supposed to safeguard her continued to fail. Sako's descent into
full blown obsession was now complete. His every thought seemed
fixated on Celeste, and the line between infatuation and violent

(10:20):
intent had all but disappeared. Celeste's life was no longer
her own. It was overshadowed by the ever present threat
of a man whose fixation had evolved into a lethal determination.
At the time, Victoria's laws required concrete, immediate threats or
evidence of physical harm before law enforcement could take substantial action.

(10:43):
Despite the clear pattern of harassment and Celeste's repeated documentation,
the police were limited in how they could respond. They
acknowledged the reports, but explained that without direct physical threats
or acts of violence, Sacho's behavior didn't meet the legal
threshold for more severe intervention. Celeste applied for an intervention order,

(11:04):
hoping this would finally establish a legal barrier between her
and Sacho. However, the process was slow and frustrating. The
intervention order did little to deter Sacho, who blatantly ignored
the restrictions, continuing to message her through new accounts and
lurking near her home. Each violation was reported, but the

(11:26):
response from authorities remained tepid. The legal framework treated stalking
as a lesser offense, failing to recognize the pattern of
behavior as a precursor to violence. The systems in action
left Celeste in her family feeling abandoned. Her mother, Aggi Dimarro,
became increasingly vocal about the lack of support, accompanying Celeste

(11:49):
to police stations and advocating for stronger action. They feared
that without immediate intervention, Sukko's behavior would escalate beyond harassment.
Yet each attempt to raise the alarm was met with
bureaucratic hurdles and legal technicalities. Despite the clear warning signs,
the system failed to recognize the severity of the threat.

(12:13):
Celeste's cries for help echoed through police reports and legal filings,
but they were met with inaction.

Speaker 2 (12:20):
The tragic irony.

Speaker 1 (12:21):
Was that all the evidence was there, the messages, the stalking,
the repeated violations, but it wasn't enough to prompt the
intervention that might have saved her life. In the early
hours of November sixteenth, twenty twenty, the quiet suburb of Mirnda,
north of Melbourne was still cloaked in darkness. The mono

(12:41):
household was asleep, unaware that the night would end in
unimaginable tragedy. For weeks Celeste had lived under the shadow
of Luey Sacot's escalating obsession, but nothing could have prepared
her family for.

Speaker 2 (12:55):
What was about to unfold.

Speaker 1 (12:58):
Around four ten am, Luey Sako approached the Mano home
with a singular, horrifying intent. Armed with a kitchen knife,
he navigated the familiar streets with chilling determination. He had
meticulously planned this moment, fueled by his growing resentment and delusion.
The legal barriers Celeste had fought to establish meant nothing

(13:21):
to him. Now he had crossed the threshold from harassment
to violence. Sako reached the back of the Mano residence,
where a window provided access to Celeste's ground floor bedroom.
The neighborhood was silent, offering no resistance as he removed
the fly screen and quietly forced his way inside. Celeste,

(13:43):
likely asleep or only just stirring, was caught completely off guard.
The sanctuary of her home, once a refuge from Sako's stalking,
had been violently breached. Inside, chaos erupted. Sako attacked Celeste
with brutal force, stabbing her multiple times. The precise details
of the struggle remained unclear, but the violence was swift

(14:07):
and merciless. Celeste's screams pierced the early morning stillness, jolting
her family awake. Her mother, Aggie and stepfather Tony rushed
toward the sound, only to be met with a scene
of horror no parent should ever witness. By the time
they reached Celeste's room, Saco had fled, leaving behind the
devastation of his attack. Celeste was gravely wounded, and despite

(14:31):
their frantic efforts, there was nothing they could do to
save her. The wounds were too severe, the attack too sudden.
Aggie's desperate cries for help echoed through the house as
they called emergency services, but Celeste's life slipped away before
paramedics could arrive. As dawn broke over Mirnda, the Mano

(14:53):
home transformed into a crime scene. Police arrived, quickly securing
the area and beginning the investigation into what had happened.
The brutality of the crime shocked even the most seasoned officers.
Neighbors awoke to the flashing lights of emergency vehicles, their
peaceful suburb now marked by an unthinkable act of violence.

(15:13):
For Celeste's family, the horror was indescribable. Aggie, who had
fought tirelessly to protect her daughter from Saco's harassment. Was
now faced with a grief that words could not capture.
The realization that the system had failed to protect Celeste
weighed heavily on.

Speaker 2 (15:30):
Everyone who had been part of her life.

Speaker 1 (15:33):
Her friends, boyfriend, and colleagues were left reeling, struggling to
comprehend how a bright, compassionate young woman could be taken.

Speaker 2 (15:42):
So violently from the world.

Speaker 1 (15:44):
Meanwhile, Sako's escape was short lived. After the attack, he
fled the scene in his car, but his mind was unraveling.
Less than an hour later, he drove himself to the
nearby Mirnda police station. Covered in blood and exhibiting signs
of distress, Sako banged on the station doors, confessing to
the murder. His demeanor oscillated between agitation and eerie calmness,

(16:09):
as though the gravity of his actions hadn't fully settled in.
The police quickly took him into custody, and it wasn't
long before the evidence at the crime scene and Sako's
own admission made his guilt undeniable. But for Celeste's loved ones,
Sako's arrest offered little solace. The knowledge that he had
been in custody was a stark reminder that the system

(16:31):
had all the tools it needed to prevent this tragedy,
yet it had failed to.

Speaker 2 (16:35):
Act in time.

Speaker 1 (16:38):
In the hours following Celeste Mono's murder, the investigation moved swiftly.
The brutality of the crime, combined with the immediate confession
from Luey Sako, left little ambiguity about who was responsible,
but the police were determined to piece together every detail,
reconstructing the events leading up to that horrific night and

(16:59):
gathering the evidence needed to secure justice. When Sako arrived
at the Mirnda police station shortly after the murder, officers
found him disoriented and covered in blood. His confession was
rambling but clear. He admitted to killing Celeste. Police quickly
placed him under arrest and transported him to the station

(17:21):
for further questioning. While his admission was a pivotal moment,
investigators needed to corroborate his statement with physical evidence from
the crime scene. Back at the Mano home, forensic teams
worked meticulously. The window Sako had used to enter Celeste's
bedroom provided clear signs of forced entry. Inside the room

(17:42):
bore the brutal evidence of the struggle, Blood spattered across
the walls and floor the aftermath of a violent and
premeditated attack. The weapon, a kitchen knife, had been discarded
nearby and was quickly recovered by officers. Investigators also examined
S's vehicle, which he had driven to the police station

(18:03):
after the murder. Inside, they found additional evidence linking him
to the crime, including blood stains and personal items that
belonged to Celeste. His erratic behavior and disjointed confession pointed
to a disturbed state of mind, but it did little
to obscure the clear, calculated nature of his actions. Witness
statements from Celeste's family and friends further solidified the case

(18:26):
against Sakoh. Her mother, Aggie, recounted the months of fear
and frustration as they sought help from the authorities. Neighbours
also provided critical information recalling Sakko's presence near the Mono
home in the weeks leading up to the murder. These
testimonies underscored the systemic failures that had allowed his behavior

(18:48):
to continue unabated. Forensic analysis confirmed that Sako's DNA was
present at the crime scene, and his digital footprint messages,
social media activity, and search history further demonstrated his fixation
on Celeste. By the time the investigation concluded, the case
against Luey Sako was air tight. The murder had been premeditated,

(19:12):
fueled by months of unchecked obsession and a series of
missed opportunities to intervene. Following his arrest, Luey Sako was
charged with the murder of Celeste Mano. The legal process progressed,
culminating in Sako pleading guilty to the charge. On February
twenty ninth, twenty twenty four, Justice Jane Dixon of the

(19:34):
Supreme Court of Victoria sentenced Sako to thirty six years
in prison with a non parole period of thirty years.
In October twenty twenty four, while serving his sentence at
Melbourne's Raven Hall Correctional Center, Sakoh attempted suicide and was
transported to the hospital in serious condition. This incident highlighted

(19:55):
ongoing concerns about his mental health, both preceding and following
the crime. What do you think the police could have
done in this case or the family could have taken
some measures such as moving Write your opinion in the comments.

In the quiet town of Slaughter, Louisiana, Sheila and Clay
Fletcher were seen as model citizens, but behind their tidy
home lay a horrifying secret. Their daughter Lacey had spent
years wasting away on a filthy couch, unseen by the world.
When the truth emerged, it shocked the nation to its core.

(20:42):
Nestled in East Feliciana Parish, the small town of Slaughter,
Louisiana was the kind of place where everyone knew each
other's names. Life moved slowly here, with neighbors exchanging friendly
waves and weekend gatherings filling the air with laughter. Along
the town's familiar faces were Sheila and Clay Fletcher, longtime

(21:05):
residents known for their community involvement. Sheila served as an
alder woman and Clay was active in local organizations. To
those who knew them, the Fletchers seemed like an ordinary,
respectable family. Their only child, Lacey Ellen Fletcher, was rarely
seen around town in recent years, but few questioned it.

(21:26):
As children grow up, they often drift from small town life,
and most assumed Lacy had simply chosen a quieter path.
The Fletcher's brick home on Tom Drive sat quietly at
the end of a cul de sac, its neat appearance
betraying none of the horrors that lay inside. For years,
no one suspected that behind the closed doors of the

(21:47):
Fletcher home a tragedy was unfolding. It wasn't until a
cold January morning in twenty twenty two that the veil
of normalcy was ripped away, revealing a nightmare that would
shock not just Slaughter, but the entire nation. The quiet town,
once known for its peaceful streets and friendly faces, would

(22:08):
soon become synonymous with one of the most disturbing cases
of neglect in recent memory. Lacey Ellen Fletcher was born
in nineteen eighty five, the only child of Sheila and
Clay Fletcher. In her early years, she was described as
a bright, cheerful girl who loved playing outside and spending
time with neighborhood friends. She attended Brownsville Baptist Academy, where

(22:32):
she participated in various school activities and was a member
of the volleyball team. Her teachers and peers remembered her
as polite, intelligent, and engaged in both her studies and
social life. Around the age of ten, Lacey was diagnosed
with autism spectrum disorder and social anxiety, conditions that began

(22:53):
to shape her adolescence. While her early childhood had been
filled with laughter and companionship, these diagnoses marked a shift.
Though her parents reportedly sought professional help, including therapy and
medical consultations, Lacey's social interactions became increasingly limited. She withdrew

(23:14):
from group activities and found it difficult to maintain the
friendships she had once cherished. By the time she reached
her teenage years, Lacey's presence in public grew scarce. She
transitioned to homeschooling, and neighbors noticed her absence from community events.
Despite her withdrawal, those who knew her in her earlier

(23:35):
years struggled to reconcile the lively, curious child they remembered
with the quiet, isolated figure she was becoming. Yet few
pressed the issue, trusting that her parents were managing her care.
Behind the walls of the Fletcher home, however, Lacey's world
was shrinking more than anyone could have imagined. For a time,

(23:57):
neighbors occasionally asked about her, but she Sheila and Clay
Fletcher assured them that Lacey was fine, preferring the privacy
and comfort of home due to her struggles with social anxiety.
The Fletchers themselves began to withdraw from social life, their
once frequent participation in local events tapering off. The family's
house on Tom Drive appeared well kept from the outside,

(24:20):
offering no clues to the life unfolding within. To the
casual observer, there was nothing unusual about a young adult
choosing a quieter life at home, and in a small
town like Slaughter, people were inclined to respect personal boundaries.
Years passed and Lacey became a distant memory to most
in the community. Friends from her childhood moved on with

(24:42):
their lives, assuming Lacey had done the same in her
own way. No one thought to question her absence further,
After all, her parents were prominent, seemingly responsible members of
the town. Inside the Fletcher home, however, Lacey's existence had
become one of profound isola. She was confined to a
single room, her world reduced to the worn out couch

(25:05):
where she remained for years with no visitors and no
outside intervention. The conditions of her life and her deteriorating
health remained hidden from everyone. The once vibrant girl who
had played volleyball and laughed with friends was now a
ghost in her own home, unseen and unheard by the
community that had quietly forgotten her. On the morning of

(25:29):
January third, twenty twenty two, Sheila Fletcher made a call
to nine one one that would uncover a nightmare hidden
in plain sight. Her voice was calm as she reported
that her daughter Lacy was unresponsive. There was no urgency,
no sign of panic, just a simple request for assistance.
When emergency responders arrived at the Fletcher home on Tom Drive,

(25:53):
nothing on the exterior hinted at the horror awaiting inside.
The front door opened to a wave of stifling, putrid air.
As paramedics stepped inside, they were struck by the overwhelming
odor of decay mixed with human waste. Navigating through the house,
they found Lacey in the living room, seated on a

(26:13):
sunken couch.

Speaker 2 (26:14):
What they saw defied belief.

Speaker 1 (26:17):
Lacey's body was partially fused to the sofa, her skin
adhering to the fabric. After years of immobility, She sat
in a reclined position, covered in feces and sores. Her
body emaciated to just ninety six pounds. Open ulcers marred
her skin, some so deep that bone was visible. Her

(26:38):
lower body was buried in a hole in the couch,
surrounded by soiled towels and blankets. Insects swarmed around her,
and the air was thick with the smell of rot.
The scene suggested that Lacey had been in the same
position for years. She was covered in urine and feces,
with no signs of recent hygiene or medical care. Bite

(27:00):
the horrific state of her body, the house itself was
otherwise tidy, creating a stark contrast that baffled first responders.
Lacey was declared dead at the scene. Authorities noted the
shocking state of neglect and immediately contacted the East Feliciana
Parish coroner's office. It was clear that this was not
a sudden death, but the result of prolonged suffering and abandonment.

(27:24):
As investigators began documenting the scene, the Fletchers provided little explanation.
They claimed that Lacey had refused to leave the couch
or seek medical help due to her anxiety, but the
severity of her condition suggested far more than simple reluctance.
The discovery sent shockwaves through the small town of Slaughter,
and soon the entire nation would learn the name Lacey

(27:47):
ellen Fletcher, a symbol of unimaginable neglect hidden behind a
facade of normalcy. The autopsy of Lacey ellen Fletcher revealed
a level of suffering and neglect that stunned even seasoned
pials conducted by doctor Ewele Bickham, the third the East
feliciana parish coroner, the report listed her cause of death

(28:08):
as acute medical neglect, compounded by malnutrition, untreated infections, and
severe bed sores. The findings painted a gruesome picture of
a young woman who had endured years of silent agony.
At the time of her death, Lacey weighed just ninety
six pounds. Her body was covered in open ulcers, some

(28:29):
of which had penetrated deep into her flesh, exposing bone.
These sores, known as pressure ulcers or bed sores, are
common in individuals who remain immobile for extended periods without
proper care. The ulcers on Lacey's body indicated she had
been in the same position for years, sitting in her
own waist without relief. One of the most disturbing details

(28:53):
was that Lacey's body was partially fused to the couch where.

Speaker 2 (28:55):
She had died.

Speaker 1 (28:57):
Skin and tissue had become bonded to the upholstery, and
the surrounding area was soaked with bodily fluids and feces.
The autopsy revealed that Lacey had developed sepsis, a life
threatening condition caused by a severe infection entering the blood stream.
Sepsis alone could have led to her death, but it
was compounded by starvation and dehydration. The report also noted

(29:21):
that Lacey suffered from locked in syndrome, a condition where
a person is conscious but unable to move or communicate
due to paralysis. This suggested that Lacey had been mentally
aware of her suffering, but physically incapable of seeking help
or relief. However, there were no signs that she had
received any medical attention in the years leading up to

(29:42):
her death. Doctor Bickham described the case as one of
the worst he had ever encountered. The level of neglect
was so profound that it shocked even those accustomed to
tragic cases.

Speaker 2 (29:55):
He stated that Lacey's.

Speaker 1 (29:56):
Death was not an accident or the result of natural causes,
but the consequence of prolonged deliberate neglect. The autopsy findings
left no doubt Lacey Ellen Fletcher had died slowly and painfully,
trapped in a living nightmare, while those responsible for her
care did nothing to intervene. Following the autopsy, East Feliciana

(30:19):
Parish authorities launched an immediate investigation into the circumstances surrounding
Lacey Fletcher's death. The horrific details from the crime scene
and medical report raised serious questions about how such neglect
could occur unnoticed for so long. Sheriff Jeff Travis, leading
the investigation, described the case as deeply disturbing, emphasizing that

(30:43):
it was unlike anything his department had ever encountered. Detectives
began by interviewing Sheila and Clay Fletcher. The couple maintained
that Lacey's mental health struggles, particularly her severe social anxiety
and autism spectrum disorder, were at the root of her condition.
They claimed that Lacey had chosen to isolate herself and

(31:04):
refused any form of medical treatment. Sheila insisted that they
respected their daughter's wishes, suggesting that they were not neglectful,
but honoring Lacey's autonomy. However, investigators found these explanations difficult
to reconcile with the overwhelming evidence of prolonged suffering and
complete lack of basic care. Neighbors were also questioned, many

(31:28):
expressing disbelief and horror as details emerged. Some admitted they
hadn't seen Lacey in over a decade, but had assumed
she was living a private life due to her anxiety.
Few had any idea that she was even still in
the home. Sheila and Clay's outward appearances gave no indication
of trouble. They were regarded as polite, involved citizens. This

(31:52):
revelation shocked those who had considered them upstanding members of
the community. Authorities scoured the Fletcher home for additional evidence,
examining Lacey's living conditions and the family's communication history. There
were no signs of recent medical consultations, prescriptions, or attempts
to seek professional help. Despite Sheila's position as an alder

(32:15):
woman and the couple's community involvement, no one had ever
been invited inside their home and no welfare.

Speaker 2 (32:22):
Checks had been conducted.

Speaker 1 (32:24):
The deeper investigator's dug the clearer it became that Lacey's
death wasn't a tragic accident, but the result of years
of abandonment. The case quickly shifted from a medical inquiry
to a criminal investigation, setting the stage for what would
become a national headline. On May second, twenty twenty two,

(32:44):
four months after Lacey Fletcher's death, a grand jury convened
in East Feliciana Parish returned a swift indictment. Sheila and
Clay Fletcher were charged with second degree murder, a charge
that carries a mandatory life sentence without the possibility of
parole in Louisiana. The indictment was based on overwhelming evidence

(33:05):
of prolonged neglect and the gruesome conditions under which Lacey died.
Sheriff Jeff Travis confirmed the arrests later that day. Sheila
and Clay Fletcher were taken into custody without incident and
booked into the East Feliciana Paris Jail. Their bond was
set at three hundred thousand dollars each. Shortly after their booking,

(33:26):
both posted bond and were released pending trial. Their release
only intensified the community's outrage, as many felt justice was
being delayed for Lacey. At the bond hearing, prosecutors laid
out the severity of the case emphasizing that Lacey's death
was not only preventable, but the result of wilful and

(33:46):
deliberate neglect. They argued that the Fletchers had multiple opportunities
to seek medical intervention, but instead allowed their daughter to
waste away in inhumane conditions. Photos from the scene and
details from the autopsy were presented as evidence of the
cruelty Lacey endured. The defense, however, painted a different picture.

(34:10):
The Fletcher's attorney claimed that Lacey was mentally competent and
had the right to refuse care. They argued that her
autism and social anxiety contributed to her reclusive behavior, and
that her parents, while perhaps misguided, did not intentionally harm her.

Speaker 2 (34:28):
The defense also.

Speaker 1 (34:29):
Suggested that the Fletchers were overwhelmed and lacked the resources
to properly care for their daughter, despite their outward appearance
of stability. The case quickly gained national attention. Media outlets
across the country reported on the horrific details, and public
outrage grew. Many questioned how such extreme neglect could go

(34:51):
unnoticed in a small town where everyone knew each other.
The Fletchers, once seen as upstanding citizens, were now the
faces of a shocking and unforget givable crime. As the
legal proceedings began, the town of Slaughter grappled with the
harsh reality that one of their own had endured unimaginable
suffering hidden in plain sight. The trial of Sheila and

(35:13):
Clay Fletcher was set to be one of the most
closely watched cases in Louisiana's recent history. However, legal proceedings
were delayed multiple times due to pre trial motions and
the complexity of the case. Prosecutors were determined to prove
that Lacey Fletcher's death was the direct result of her
parents wilful neglect, while the defense maintained that mental health

(35:37):
issues and personal choice played a significant role in her
tragic end. During pre trial hearings, prosecutors presented harrowing evidence,
including autopsy photos, forensic reports, and testimonies from first responders
who described the horrifying conditions in which Lacey was found.
The prosecution argued that Lacey had been entirely dependent on

(36:00):
her parents for care, and that their failure to provide
basic necessities like food, hygiene, and medical attention amounted to murder.
They emphasized that Lacey's mental health struggles did not absolve
the Fletchers of their legal and moral responsibilities as caregivers.
The defense focused on Lacey's autonomy, insisting that she had

(36:23):
refused to leave the couch or accept medical care. They
portrayed the Fletchers as loving parents who were overwhelmed by
their daughter's deteriorating mental health. The defense also highlighted the
lack of intervention from outside agencies, suggesting that if signs
of neglect had been evident, others might have stepped in. However,

(36:44):
the prosecution countered that the conditions inside the Fletcher home
were so extreme that no reasonable person could believe this
was simply a matter of respecting a daughter's wishes. After
months of legal wrangling, the trial finally commenced. Witnesses included
medical experts, law enforcement officials, and neighbors. The jury listened

(37:07):
to graphic descriptions of Lacey's condition, the details of her autopsy,
and the statements from paramedics who first arrived at the scene.
The prosecution argued that the evidence left no room for doubt.
Lacey Fletcher had died in slow agony and her parents
had done nothing to stop it. The jury deliberated for
only a short time before returning a guilty verdict for

(37:29):
both Sheila and Clay Fletcher on the charge of second
degree murder. The court room was silent as the verdict
was read, the weight of the case settling over everyone present.
The judge sentenced both to life in prison without the
possibility of parole, the mandatory sentence under Louisiana law. Following

(37:50):
the trial, the town of Slaughter struggled to come to
terms with the tragedy. Neighbors who once admired the Fletchers
were left grappling with how such horrific neglis could have
happened unnoticed in their community. Some expressed guilt for not
checking in on Lacey, while others were simply stunned that
a family they thought they knew could harbor such a

(38:10):
dark secret. The case of Lacey Fletcher became a symbol
of extreme neglect and the failure of both familial and
societal systems to protect vulnerable individuals. While the legal chapter
had closed, the emotional scars remained, leaving a small town
forever changed by the silent suffering of one of its own.

Her own home. See you Soon.

Speaker 1 (38:51):
Mia Marcano was a typical college student until the day
she vanished without warning. As her family and police scrambled
for clues, The investigation revealed an unsettling figure with unchecked
access to her home and a deadly obsession. Mia Marcano
was a nineteen year old college student balancing academics in

(39:14):
work while navigating life in Orlando, Florida. A sophomore at
Valencia College, Mia was studying communications and was known for
her vibrant personality and strong family ties. She lived at
Arden Villa's, an apartment complex close to campus, where she
also worked part time in the leasing office to support
her studies. Mia was originally from Pembroke Pines, Florida, and

(39:38):
frequently traveled home to visit her close knit family. Her father,
Marlon Marcano, was a popular South Florida dja, and her
family was deeply rooted in their Caribbean heritage. Mia maintained
strong relationships with her parents cousins and friends, and she
was often seen as the glue that held her family together.

(39:59):
Her life at Ardenvilla seemed typical for a college student.
Classes during the day, work shifts in the office, and
time spent with friends. She was well liked by her
colleagues and residents at the complex. However, unbeknownst to Mia,
danger was closer than she realized. A maintenance worker at
her apartment complex who had access to her living space

(40:22):
had developed an unhealthy fixation on her. This seemingly mundane
detail would soon become a key element in unraveling the
events that led to her tragic fate. On Friday, September
twenty fourth, twenty twenty one, Mia Marcano's routine took a sudden,
inexplicable turn. She finished her shift at the Ardenvilla's leasing

(40:44):
office around five PM, planning to head to Fort Lauderdale
later that evening to visit her family for the weekend.
But when she didn't show up for her scheduled flight,
alarm bells immediately went off for her family. Mia was dependable,
and missing a flight with a out notifying anyone was
completely out of character. Her father, Marlon Marcano, tried calling

(41:06):
and texting her repeatedly, but his messages went unanswered. MIA's
mother and cousins also attempted to reach her, but there
was only silence. The next morning, growing increasingly anxious, MIA's
family contacted the Orange County Sheriff's office to report her missing.
At the same time, they took matters into their own hands,

(41:27):
driving to Orlando to start looking for her themselves. Upon
arriving at arden Villa's, the family sensed something was wrong.
MIA's car was still parked in the complex lot, untouched.
When they gained access to her apartment, they found troubling signs.
Her room was in disarray and her belongings, including her purse,

(41:47):
were left behind. Her bedroom window, which was typically uncovered,
had been tampered with, and her cell phone was missing.
It was clear to her family that Mia hadn't left voluntarily.
They began canvassing the apartment complex, speaking to residence and staff,
trying to piece together her last known movements. Despite their efforts,

(42:09):
no one could provide definitive answers, but one person's name
kept surfacing. Armando Caballero, a maintenance worker at arden Villas.
MIA's family noted his odd behavior during their conversations. He
claimed not to know anything, but his demeanor seemed off.
They shared their suspicions with law enforcement, who were already

(42:30):
beginning to focus their attention on him. As the hours
turned into days with no word from Mia, the urgency
of the situation escalated. The Orange County Sheriff's Office began
a formal investigation, while MIA's family organized their own search parties.
Social media lit up with posts about her disappearance, and

(42:50):
fliers were distributed throughout Orlando. The community quickly rallied behind
the family, but despite the growing attention, Mia remained missing,
and her family's worst fears were beginning to take shape.
As the Orange County Sheriff's Office launched its investigation into
Mia Marcano's disappearance, the initial findings pointed toward foul play.

(43:14):
Deputies searched MIA's apartment, thoroughly documenting the disarray and signs
of forced entry. The blocked bedroom window suggested an attempt
to conceal a break in, while her missing phone and
purse indicated she hadn't left by choice. Attention quickly turned
to Ardenvilla's staff, especially those with access to residence apartments.

(43:35):
Among them was Armando Manuel Caballero, a twenty seven year
old maintenance worker. Caballero had been employed at Ardenvilla's for
about a year and possessed a master key fob that
allowed him to enter any unit in the complex. Investigators
discovered that Caballierro had used this key to enter MIA's
apartment around four thirty p m on the day she vanished,

(43:58):
about thirty minutes before her shift ended. This unauthorized access
raised immediate concerns. When questioned by law enforcement on September
twenty fifth, Caballero claimed he last saw Mia at three PM,
stating their interaction had been brief and uneventful. However, surveillance
footage and electronic key records contradicted his story. Investigators noted

(44:23):
that Caballero's car was parked near MIA's building at suspicious times,
further implicating him in her disappearance. Adding to the suspicion
was Caballero's history with Mia. Multiple friends and co workers
reported that he had made unwonted romantic advances toward her, which.

Speaker 2 (44:39):
She repeatedly rejected.

Speaker 1 (44:41):
Mia had even confided in family members about feeling uncomfortable
around him, despite her clear disinterest Caballero continued to hover
around her workplace and apartment, often finding excuses to interact
with her. Law enforcement deepened their inquiry into Caballero's past,
uncovering prior complaints from female residents at other apartment complexes

(45:03):
where he had worked. Although no formal charges had ever
been filed, a disturbing pattern of behavior emerged. As the
investigation progressed. Caballero's demeanor grew increasingly suspicious. He stopped cooperating
with authorities and avoided further questioning. By September twenty sixth,

(45:23):
deputies obtained a warrant to search his apartment and vehicle.
While they found items consistent with maintenance work, there was
no immediate, conclusive evidence linking him directly to MIA's disappearance.
The mounting evidence painted a grim picture Caballerero's access to
MIA's apartment, his history of inappropriate behavior, and the discrepancies

(45:45):
in his story positioned him as the prime suspect. However,
before law enforcement could confront him with the full weight
of their findings, the case took a sudden and unexpected turn.
Caballerero had a troubling path asked that investigators quickly uncovered.
Although he had no prior criminal record, former co workers

(46:07):
and residents from other properties where he had worked described
patterns of inappropriate behavior, particularly toward young women. He often
made them uncomfortable, crossing professional boundaries with unsolicited attention. At
Arden Villis, his fixation on Mia had become evident to
those around her. She had rejected his advances on multiple occasions,

(46:30):
even expressing to friends and family that she found his
behavior unsettling. Despite these rejections, Caballero continued to insert himself
into MIA's life. He was often seen loitering near the
leasing office or around her apartment building without any legitimate
work orders. His unauthorized entry into her apartment on September

(46:51):
twenty fourth, just before she finished her shift, was not
an isolated event. Investigators learned that he had used his
master keyfob to enter other units in the past, though
no formal complaints had been filed. After his initial interview
with deputies on September twenty fifth, Caballero's behavior took a
darker turn. He stopped responding to calls from investigators and

(47:15):
refused further questioning when MIA's family confronted him directly at
Arden Villa's. He appeared indifferent, offering no helpful information while
maintaining his innocence. His lack of concern for MIA's disappearance,
coupled with his evasive actions, only deepened suspicions. On September
twenty sixth, law enforcement executed a search warrant on Caballero's

(47:39):
apartment and vehicle. Inside his apartment, they found maintenance tools,
but nothing immediately tied to Mia. However, his car revealed
more disturbing findings. Investigators discovered duct tape, gloves, and a
blanket in the trunk, items that could suggest premeditated foul play.
Traces of hair fibers and a small blood stain were

(48:01):
also collected for forensic analysis, though results were pending at
the time. Caballero's phone records and GPS data became the
next focus. Detectives traced his movements following MIA's disappearance, noting
that he had traveled to several remote locations around Orlando,
including abandoned apartment complexes and wooded areas. This behavior, combined

(48:24):
with his refusal to cooperate, suggested he was attempting to
cover his tracks. On the morning of September twenty seventh,
before law enforcement could bring him in for further questioning,
the case took a shocking turn. Cabalirero was found dead
inside a garage at an apartment complex in Longwood, about
thirty minutes from Ardenvillis. He had died by suicide, hanging

(48:48):
himself with a belt. His body was discovered by a
maintenance worker after he failed to show up for work.
Caballero's suicide left investigators with a critical gap. While the
evidence pointed strongly to his involvement, his death meant there
would be no confession, no trial, and no direct explanation
for his actions. However, his final movements and the forensic

(49:12):
evidence found in his car and apartment would soon provide
the answers that MIA's family and the community desperately sought.
With Caballero no longer alive to provide answers, investigators focused
on dissecting his movements and personal belongings for clues. His
silver Forward Fusion, parked near where his body was found,

(49:33):
became the center of forensic analysis. Inside the trunk, deputies
found duct tape, gloves, and a blanket, items that suggested
preparation for abduction. More critically, forensic teams discovered traces of
blood and hair fibers in the vehicle. These samples were
expedited for testing, and within days results confirmed that the

(49:56):
DNA belonged to Mia.

Speaker 2 (49:57):
Marcano.

Speaker 1 (50:00):
Ziero's cell phone provided further insight. Investigators analyzed his GPS
data and call logs, revealing a suspicious pattern of travel.
Immediately following MIA's disappearance on the evening of September twenty fourth,
his phone pinged in several remote locations around Orlando, places
he had no known connections to. One location in particular,

(50:22):
drew investigator's attention. Timber Scan on the Lake, an abandoned
apartment complex notorious for its isolation and history of criminal activity.
Law enforcement now had a focused lead. Teams were dispatched
to timber Scan to search the overgrown, deteriorating property. The
site's size and condition made the search difficult, but with

(50:45):
Caballero's GPS data pinpointing specific areas, deputies began their methodical sweep. Meanwhile,
MIA's family and the public, devastated by the news of
Caballero's suicide, continued their efforts to find her. Volunteers, law enforcement,
and community members united in the search, holding onto the

(51:05):
fading hope that Mia might still be alive. Social media
campaigns intensified, and the hashtag hash find Mia Marcano remained
a trending topic, reflecting the widespread heartbreak and demand for justice.
As investigators followed Caballero's trail, the focus remained clear, finding

(51:26):
Mia and uncovering the full extent of what had happened
during those critical hours after her disappearance. The evidence in
Caballero's car and the data from his phone had narrowed
the search, and authorities were closing in on the tragic
conclusion that awaited them. On October first, twenty twenty one,
search teams descended on Timberscan. The complex, long neglected, was

(51:50):
surrounded by overgrown brush, decaying buildings, and debris. Navigating the
area was challenging, but the specific GPS coordinates from Camp
Babaio's phone gave law enforcement a clear starting point. The
Orange County Sheriff's Office deployed search dogs, drones, and ground
teams to comb through the dense vegetation and dilapidated structures.

(52:14):
As law enforcement worked the scene, MIA's family remained deeply
involved in the search. Her father, Marlon Marcano continued to
lead efforts on the ground, refusing to give up hope
until definitive answers were found. Volunteers from across the state
joined in distributing flyers and scouring nearby neighborhoods. The community's

(52:36):
involvement had become a symbol of solidarity, with strangers offering
their time and resources to aid in the search. Despite
the intense efforts, the first day of searching yielded no
significant results. However, the following morning brought.

Speaker 2 (52:52):
A tragic discovery.

Speaker 1 (52:54):
On October two, twenty twenty one, just behind one of
the abandoned buildings at Timber Scan, searchers found a body
partially concealed under branches and debris. The location matched the
GPS data from Caballero's phone, placing him at the exact
spot where the remains were found. The body was in
an advanced state of decomposition, consistent with having been exposed

(53:18):
to the elements for over a week. Personal items found nearby,
including a purse and a set of keys, strongly suggested
the remains belong to Mia. Law enforcement immediately notified her family,
though formal identification was required. The Orange County Medical Examiner
took possession of the remains and began the identification process.

(53:40):
Using dental records, they confirmed what everyone feared. The body
was indeed, Mia Marcano. The autopsy revealed that Mia had
died from homicidal violence, though the exact cause of death
was difficult to determine due to the state of the remains.
There were no immediate signs of sexual assault, but investigators
couldn't rule it out definitively. For MIA's family, the confirmation

(54:04):
of her death was a devastating blow. The hope that
had driven their tireless search efforts was replaced by profound grief.
The discovery also marked the end of a critical chapter
in the investigation, providing closure to the search but leaving
many questions about the final moments of MIA's life. While

(54:24):
Caballero's death meant there would be no trial or confession,
the forensic evidence, digital data, and circumstantial details provided a
comprehensive understanding of his role in MIA's abduction and murder.
The investigation had reached its conclusion, but the fight for
justice was far from over. MIA's family vowed to ensure

(54:46):
that her death would lead to meaningful changes, preventing similar
tragedies from occurring in the future. The Orange County Medical
Examiner's report provided some answers, but also left lingering questions.
MIA's b was found in a state of advanced decomposition,
making it difficult to determine the precise cause of death.

(55:07):
The autopsy concluded that Mia had died from homicidal violence,
but the specific details remained unclear due to the condition
of her remains. Investigators confirmed that there were no obvious
signs of sexual assault, but the medical examiner could not
definitively rule it out. Personal belongings found near her body
offered more evidence of the crime. MIA's purse, keys, and

(55:31):
cell phone were located close to where her body was left,
suggesting that Caballero had disposed of everything in one place
the area where her body was found. An isolated, overgrown
patch behind one of the abandoned apartment buildings indicated that
Cabalilero had chosen the spot carefully, likely knowing that the
property's reputation for crime and neglect would delay discovery. For

(55:54):
MIA's family, the confirmation of her death brought unbearable grief.
Her father, ARLN Marcano, who had been at the forefront
of the search expressed heartbreak at the loss of his daughter,
but also determination to seek justice in her name. The
family's pain was shared by the community, which had rallied
behind them throughout the ordeal.

Speaker 2 (56:17):
Vigils were held in.

Speaker 1 (56:18):
Orlando and Pembroke Pines, where Mia had grown up, with
hundreds gathering to honor her memory. Friends, classmates, and even
strangers lit candles, left flowers, and shared stories about MIA's
bright personality and promising future. The discovery also intensified scrutiny
on Arden Villas, the apartment complex where Mia lived and worked.

(56:41):
Residents in the public questioned how someone like Cavallero, who
had a history of inappropriate behavior, was allowed to maintain
unrestricted access to tenant's apartments. The fact that he was
able to enter MIA's apartment with a master key fob
without her consent highlighted serious lapses in the complexes security protocols.
Law enforcement released a timeline of Caballero's actions leading up

(57:05):
to and following MIA's disappearance. The data showed that Caballero
had entered MIA's apartment at four thirty p m. On
September twenty fourth, just before her shift ended. After abducting her,
he drove to several remote areas before ultimately leaving her
body at Timber Scan. His movements were tracked through cell

(57:26):
phone data and surveillance footage, creating a comprehensive picture.

Speaker 2 (57:30):
Of his actions.

Speaker 1 (57:31):
Though Caballero's suicide meant there would be no trial, the
overwhelming evidence left no doubt about his guilt. Forensic analysis
confirmed MIA's DNA in Caballero's car, and the timeline of
his movements aligned perfectly with her disappearance. Law enforcement publicly
closed the case, declaring Caballero solely responsible for MIA's abduction

(57:53):
and murder. While MIA's body had been found and her
killer identified, The case left a deep impact on the
community and raised broader concerns about tenants safety and apartment
complex accountability. MIA's family, while mourning their loss, began to
channel their grief into advocacy, determined to ensure that no

(58:15):
other family would endure the same tragedy. You're a real

Speaker 1 (58:39):
Many people have their idols, famous personalities who have achieved
something in this life, actors, athletes, musicians. But do we
know the people on the cover that we like only superficially.
After all, we don't know for sure what idols are
really like when we interact with them closely. One day,
an aspiring rapper named Bryce Rambo decide to throw his

(59:00):
followers a party. Everything was going well until at some
point the man out of the blue started yelling that
his money had been stolen. What's more, he even knew
which of the group of people was dirty. Bryce Rhodes
was born on August ninth, nineteen ninety one. He grew
up in the city of Louisville, Kentucky. His upbringing was

(59:21):
taken care of by his mother, Shan, who could not
be called very caring and responsible. As Bryce himself later
said in an interview, his childhood was filled with trauma
and violence, which had a huge impact on the rest
of his life. Bryce's home life was quite messy and chaotic.
This resulted in the boy having an extremely low intelligence level.

(59:43):
He struggled with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and also suffered
from bipolar disorder. When Brie was fifteen years old, he
had the cognitive abilities of a preschooler. No matter how
hard he tried to grasp the amount of information that
was given in school, he simply could not do it.
As a result, he was stunted because of the inability

(01:00:06):
to express emotions in words. He began to organize fights
at school and constantly struggled with bouts of aggression. At
the same time, his mother, Shawna, did nothing and Bryce
never received any psychiatric help. On top of everything else,
the guy was described as an incredible slacker. He avoided

(01:00:27):
any responsibilities, from schoolwork to chores. After Bryce dropped out
of school, his only burning desire was to join a gang.
He had no other dreams or aspirations, only the desire
to be a part of something serious to feel his
own importance. Only there was a problem. None of the

(01:00:48):
local gangs wanted him in their ranks. No matter how
much Bryce begged and pleaded to be accepted into the
criminal organization, he was chased by rejections everywhere. Bryce was
simply shunned. As an eighteen year old teenager, and Bryce
was just at the beginning stages of adolescence. It seemed
that he had to prove himself to these gangsters and

(01:01:10):
show that he was strong, mature, and fearless. Nothing better
came to his mind than to take part in an
armed robbery. Bryce decided, along with nine other young men,
to rob a group of teenagers, and it actually had
devastating consequences. On April twenty fourth, two thousand nine, around

(01:01:32):
nine pm, Rhodes and a small group of boys were
hanging around outside a Jeffersonville basketball club when four high
school students came out of the building and settled on
a bench to wait for their parents to pick them up.
Bryce and his buddies surrounded the teens and threatening them
with guns wanted to rob them. One of the company

(01:01:53):
had a semi automatic pistol. He handed it to Bryce,
and he suddenly felt like a hardened gangster and decided
to demonstrate toughness. He took the gun and put it
to the head of one of the teenagers, demanding that
the school children give up all their valuables. The teens
were absolutely terrified. They immediately began emptying their pockets. As

(01:02:16):
a result, of the armed attack, Bryce and his accomplices
managed to collect forty five dollars in cash and two
cell phones, after which they fled the scene. Naturally, the
teens immediately reported the incident to their parents, who contacted
the police. Just a few days later, Bryce was tracked
down and the students identified him as the gun toting criminal.

(01:02:40):
Bryce was arrested and charged with armed robbery. The newly
minted gangster was sentenced to six years in prison. Without
ever becoming a member of a real gang, Bryce went
to jail. After that, his life became a series of arrests, imprisonments,
and releases. Bryce was just over took twenty when he

(01:03:00):
was released early from prison. It didn't take long for
him to violate his probation and end up behind bars again,
and it happened several times. After serving a short time,
he would get out on parole. Then Bryce would re
enter the law and go to prison for violating his parole.
Once on the outside, the young man managed to commit

(01:03:22):
several different offenses, including bullying charges, domestic violence charges, use
of illegal drugs, and theft. And worst of all, Bryce
was also charged with foul molestation of an underage girl
for which he was placed on the sex offender registry.
After finally serving his primary sentence, Bryce settled with his

(01:03:44):
mom and younger sister in Louisville, Kentucky. They now lived
in an apartment building. Some thought that being in a
correctional facility would teach the guy something and he would mature,
change his lifestyle his behavior get on the path of correction,
but that didn't happen. As soon as he was released

(01:04:04):
from prison, he got in trouble with the police again.
Bryce beat up his mother and threw a stool at her.
As a result, the woman was hospitalized. However, she did
not press any charges against her son and he got
away with it. It should come as no surprise that
it soon happened again. In September twenty fourteen, he did

(01:04:25):
the same thing. Bryce attacked his mother as she was
putting away groceries in the refrigerator. For some reason, the
guy just freaked out, lost his temper. He grabbed Shawna
by the neck and punched her in the face several times.
The woman fell to the floor. It is not known
how it would have ended if Bryce's sister, who was
at home at the time, had not called the police.

(01:04:49):
Instead of jail time, Bryce got probation. So naturally, the
same incident happened again, only now with Bryce's girlfriend. She
happened to get pregnant. Of course, it it's not a
good idea to have a child with a man like Bryce. However,
the realization of the mistake apparently came to her later.
Bryce and his girlfriend welcomed the birth of their child

(01:05:11):
into the world. The birth of a baby, besides joy,
also brings a lot of worries and new responsibilities. Not
every parent handles it easily. Bryce already had a rather aggressive,
irascible character, and on the background of childish crying, sleepless
nights and other things, at some point turned into a

(01:05:33):
real monster. In July twenty fifteen, there was an incident
when he attacked his girlfriend, hitting her several times in
the face. The worst part was that she was holding
their four month old baby boy in her arms. But
this time too, the man managed to get off with
a suspended sentence, even though he was still on probation

(01:05:55):
for assaulting his mother. Bryce is now twenty three years old.
His desire to join a street gang hasn't gone away,
only it was joined by his dream of becoming a musician,
Bryce positioned himself as an aspiring rapper. He composed unremarkable lyrics,
shot video clips, and tried to become famous by releasing

(01:06:18):
videos on YouTube. The young man took the pseudonym Rambo
and fancied himself a rising star. All this was done
again in order to be noticed by a gang leader
and invited to his place. Bryce was so deluded, so
sincerely believed that his work was interesting to someone that
he kept recording more and more new compositions as almost

(01:06:40):
every homegrown rapper. In his lyrics sounded such topics as crime, gangs, women,
illegal substances, and weapons. Naturally, there were those who really
liked his music. Everybody's tastes are different, but there are
hundreds of thousands of rappers like Bryce, and they all
look alike as if they were made to copy. Bryce

(01:07:02):
tried to be original in his videos. He was often
filmed without outerwear and only pants, showing his far from
perfect body. As stated earlier, all this he did in
order to become famous and get into the ranks of
some gang. But neither music career, nor criminal history, nor
other attempts to attract the attention of real mobsters did

(01:07:24):
not succeed. Since no one ever called Bryce to join
a gang, he decided to create his own. He couldn't
attract peers or older people because they had to fear
their leader and honor him, so Bryce recruited young, vulnerable,
impressionable teenagers to join his team. He wanted them to
be easy to control, easy to manipulate. For most fourteen

(01:07:47):
and sixteen year olds, an ex convict and a famous
local rapper in one person was something like an idol.
They would look up to him, aspire to be like him,
dream of being subservient to him. Bryce wanted people to
think that he lived a life of luxury and had money,
nice cars, expensive jewelry, clothes, girls, and other trappings of wealth.

(01:08:11):
But of course Bryce had none of those things. He
was just very good at pretending. The young guy, fired
up with the idea of starting his own gang, hung
around the local basketball courts and recruited teenagers they were thirteen, fourteen, fifteen,
and sixteen years old. Bryce would tell the students that
he was a famous rapper and if they were around him,

(01:08:33):
they could also get their piece of the pie and
become famous. They would get money, power, and respect, Bryce
used his music videos as a kind of creditability. He
promised young followers participation in the filming of his videos,
and many actually fell for it, wanting some of the
benefits of this world. And Bryce really kept up the

(01:08:55):
appearance that he had a lot of money, that he
was powerful and well respected. To back up his words
with actions. He would buy recruits in his gang clothes,
buy them lunch, or just give them money. But he
did not do it out of the goodness of his heart,
but to bind them and make them debtors. At the
same time, Bryce still lived with his mom and was

(01:09:16):
incredibly lazy. That's where the young followers came in. Handy
teenagers did all the housework for him, washing clothes, buying groceries,
cleaning rooms. He also forced them to participate in criminal
activities such as selling illegal substances, and this apparently was
his main source of income. Members of Bryce's small gang

(01:09:38):
were loyal to their leader. Among them were two half brothers,
fourteen year old Larry Ordoy and sixteen year old Morris Gordon.
They were both born in Louisville, Kentucky, and their mother
was a woman named Elizabeth Rice. She gave birth to
Larry and Race at a fairly young age. They had
different fathers, but neither was present in the lives of

(01:10:00):
their sons. Their upbringing was handled by Elizabeth alone. It
so happened that both boys were in the same class.
Morris always had problems with his lessons, so he had
to repeat a couple of times. But the schoolboy excelled
in other areas. He loved music and was quite a
gifted basketball player. His younger brother, Larry, on the contrary,

(01:10:22):
was an excellent student and was also good at sports.
The brothers were inseparable, almost like twins, only two years apart.
Morris's troubles began when one day, at the age of fourteen,
he was sent to a summer camp run by the
local police department. The place was for at risk youth,
but instead of correcting their behavior, the campers came out

(01:10:45):
even more angry at the world. At summer camp, the
teenagers were treated horribly. Morris and others were bullied and
abused by the police officers who ran the camp. Young
people who broke the rules were often physically, mentally and
emotionally abused. They could be woken up in the middle
of the night, taken outside and forced to do push ups.

(01:11:08):
Sometimes they were punished with food and water. Teenagers had
to drink rain water because they were thirsty. All of
this led to a hardening of the school children's hearts
and a dislike for law enforcement, who essentially owned the camp.
This childhood trauma remained deep in the soul of Morris.
It had a profound effect on his school grades. It

(01:11:30):
had been two years since the boy had been to
summer camp. He and his brother continued to live their lives,
played sports, and in principle did not cause much concern
on the part of the school authorities. But one day
the brothers met Bryce Rhodes, and then everything went downhill.
Neither Morris nor Larry did not dream of joining the gang, However.

Speaker 2 (01:11:52):
They had to do it.

Speaker 1 (01:11:54):
The thing is that the budding wrapper Rambo started dating
their mom, Elizabeth. After meeting her two sons, Bryce decided
that these were the kind of young and impressionable teenage
boys his gang needed. When a romance began to develop
between Bryce and Elizabeth, the man took Larry and Morris
under his wing. From that point on, the brothers hung

(01:12:17):
out with their mom's boyfriend all the time, wanting to
impress the boys and their mother, Bryce bought them various gifts, food, clothes,
and promised them a luxurious life. He told them how
he would become a famous rapper and the money would flow.
The man began taking Larry and Iris to many parties,
introduced them to alcohol, illegal substances, and made them realize

(01:12:41):
that committing a crime was no big deal at all.
Larry and Morris even started carrying Bryce's guns. He was
leading the teens down a very dangerous path, and their mother, Elizabeth,
didn't seem to care at all. This kind of relationship
between Bryce, Larry and Morris went on for months. The
man for them to do chores around the house and

(01:13:02):
also involved them in criminal activities. Both teens sold illegal drugs,
participated in robberies and burglaries, and all of this was
only because Bryce desperately wanted to belong to a gang.
He basically didn't care about the danger he was putting
All these underage high school kids in Larry and Morris

(01:13:23):
were basically Bryce's right hand men. They rode with him
in his car all the time. In addition to the
two brothers, there were several others in Bryce's gang. They
were fifteen year old and Joan Carter, who was friends
with the brothers and was in the same class with them,
his cousin, seventeen year old Jacob Taylor, and nineteen year
old Tyrone Coleman. All of these guys, before meeting Bryce

(01:13:45):
were just regular high school kids, friendly and cheerful. Had
they not met the Aspiring Rapper one day, their lives
would have turned out very differently. With five very loyal followers,
Bryce felt like a strong and important leader of his
own gang. However, that still didn't negate his desire to
become a real mobster. In his heart, he probably realized

(01:14:10):
that his entire gang was just a parody of real
criminal organizations. In May twenty sixteen, twenty five year old
Bryce had a chance to prove himself and prove himself
to members of the real mafia. The Aspiring Rapper heard
that a local gang was looking for someone to run
errands for them. In return, this person would be paid

(01:14:31):
a certain amount of money. But it wasn't the money
that interested Bryce at that moment. It was the opportunity
to make a name for himself. If he could run
an errand and make an impression, he might be accepted
into a serious team. Bryce approached the local members of
the gang and said he was ready to fulfill the assignment.
It turned out that the gang was looking for a

(01:14:51):
hit man to eliminate one particular person. They did not
explain the reason why the victims should be sent to
the other world, and Bryce was isn't really interested. He
wanted to stand out from the crowd so badly that
he was willing to go even for a serious crime.
Meeting together, the gang members showed the photo and gave
Bryce details about the man they wanted to get rid of,

(01:15:14):
his address, places he'd been, and other details. Bryce took
the assignment and promised to fulfill the order as soon
as possible, and then began to draw up a plan
of reprisal. On May fourth, twenty sixteen, rapper Bryce Rambo
went for a car ride with his underage crew. Sixteen
year old Morris was behind the wheel, Bryce was in

(01:15:36):
the passenger seat, and fourteen year old Larry, fifteen year
old Anne, Joan, and seventeen year old Jacob were settled
in the back. The guys were just having fun and
had no idea what their leader was up to, and
Bryce was looking out the window, searching with his eyes
for a future victim, the man the local gang had

(01:15:56):
ordered for him, and then he saw him. It was
forty year old Christopher Jones, a father of two. He
was described as an incredible man, an amazing husband, and
a caring father who loved his family. The man was
walking down the street, minding his own business and unaware
that these were his last seconds. Bryce took one look

(01:16:18):
at him and thought this was the man he was
supposed to get rid of on behalf of a local gang,
so he ordered Morris to stop the car, jumped out
of the passenger compartment, and rushed over to the uncomprehending Christopher.
Christopher didn't even have time to realize what had happened
when Bryce put a gun to his torso and pulled
the trigger in cold blood. Everything happened so fast that

(01:16:42):
the man didn't even have a chance to escape or
at least defend himself. The bullet pierced Christopher. He was
horribly injured and collapsed on the sidewalk. Meanwhile, Bryce threw
himself back into the car and ordered Morris to drive away.
But the brothers didn't sign up to take any one's life.
They panicked and began to convince Bryce that an ambulance

(01:17:03):
should be called. You can't leave a person on the
sidewalk bleeding, but Bryce ordered the brothers to shut up
and keep their mouths shut. If they ever told any
one about what happened here, they would be punished. The
frightened teens fell silent and under Bryce's menacing shouts. Marris
drove the car onward. Bryce drove and mentally imagined how

(01:17:25):
he would tell the gang members about the completed order,
how he would be offered to become part of the
group for a job well done, how he would finally.

Speaker 2 (01:17:33):
Fulfill his cherished wish. But he was mistaken.

Speaker 1 (01:17:37):
Christopher Jones was not the man the gang had ordered
at all. Bryce had made the mistake of relying on
appearances and the neighborhood where everything happened. Christopher Jones was
an upstanding, law abiding citizen. He had done nothing wrong,
had never been involved in mafia activity, and had nothing
to do with the mafia. But now, because of a

(01:17:59):
heinous mistake, the man lay on the sidewalk bleeding to
death until passers by noticed him and called an ambulance.
Christopher was still alive, so he was rushed to the hospital,
but due to serious injuries and lost time, the man died.
His children lost their father, his wife lost her husband,

(01:18:19):
and all just because Bryce Rhodes desperately wanted to be
part of the gang. Meanwhile, the enthusiastic hitman, who thought
he had successfully carried out the attack, decided to reward
his little teenage crew with lunch at the cafe, and
at the same time gave them some warning that if
they blabbed to anyone, the same thing would happen to them.

(01:18:40):
After that, Bryce went to the gang he was doing
the order for and informed them that he had completed
the job. It was then that he found out that
he had taken the wrong man's life, which meant that
not only did he not get the money for the order,
but also made him look like a real idiot in
the eyes of the gang members. The police opened an

(01:19:02):
investigation into the death of Christopher Jones, but since there
were no witnesses to the incident, detectives could not link
Bryce to the crime. After realizing who they had really
messed with, brothers Larry and Morris finally realized that this
was not at all the world they wanted to be.
A part of the boys continued to panic and began

(01:19:22):
to slowly distance themselves from the amateur rapper who had
committed cold blooded human carnage. Bryce could see that Larry
and Morris were scared and tried to avoid seeing him.
They could be a burden to him. They could go
to the police and ruin everything. Right now, the guys
were really keeping their mouths shut as Bryce continued to

(01:19:43):
intimidate them. But what would happen then when he wasn't around.
That question was beginning to worry him more than a little.
Despite the silence, however, the brothers never forgot for a
second what had happened. Over the next few weeks, Morris
and Larry actually began to shun Bryce. They no longer

(01:20:04):
wanted to be a part of his gang because they
saw the true face.

Speaker 2 (01:20:07):
Of their leader.

Speaker 1 (01:20:08):
But what worried them most was that when the police
found out the details of the crime, which would happen
sooner or later, they would indeed be considered accomplices and
sent to prison to serve.

Speaker 2 (01:20:19):
Out the rest of their days.

Speaker 1 (01:20:21):
Bryce apparently felt the panic of the two teens in
his skin. He was no less paranoid than Larry and Morris,
and so the man decided that he couldn't let the
boys go to the police and tell them everything. He
decided to take matters into his own hands. On May
twenty first, twenty sixteen, seventeen days after the death of

(01:20:42):
Christopher Jones, Bryce made plans to throw an end of
school party for Larry and Morris. Bryce still lived in
the apartment with his mother and sister. Normally, the house
was always crowded with people coming and going. However, on
that day, Bryce's mom and sister were absent. Apartment was
left entirely to Bryce. The rapper lured Larry and Morris

(01:21:04):
to his place by pretending to throw a party for them.
He picked them up in his car and brought them home.
Three other teens who were part of the gang, fifteen
year old and Joan Carter, seventeen year old Jacob Taylor,
and nineteen year old Tyrone Coleman, were already there. At first,
it was business as usual. Bryce periodically threw parties at

(01:21:28):
his house where his gang members were present, so it
didn't raise any suspicions among the brothers. They didn't realize
yet that they had just walked into a trap. The
teens were just hanging out. Suddenly, at some point, Bryce
snapped out of his seat and jumped up to Larry
and Morris. The man started accusing them of allegedly stealing

(01:21:48):
money from him. The schoolboys looked among themselves and didn't
understand what they were being accused of. They tried to
justify that they hadn't taken anything, but Bryce had already
moved on to other accusations against them. He started ranting
about how he'd gotten word that the brothers had decided
to frame their gang and had blabbed the crime to someone.

(01:22:11):
Bryce yelled at the boys, not letting them put a
word in edgewise. He was actually acting out the act
in front of the other teens to somehow justify what
he was going to do next. It got to the
point where the brothers took a defensive stance, trying to
prove their innocence in their hearts. They were afraid of Bryce,
but they didn't want others to think they were snitches.

(01:22:35):
It wasn't until the rapper stated that he would abuse
both brothers as punishment that Morris couldn't take it anymore.
Angry at the unfounded accusations and threats against him. The
teenager grabbed a knife lying on the table and began
waving it in Bryce's face. That's all the landlord wanted.
He snatched the knife out of Morris's hand and ordered

(01:22:58):
other members of his gang to grab the brothers and
lock them in the bathroom. While Larry and Morris were
locked up, Bryce arranged a vote. He pressed that the
boys were traders and that they had exposed all the
gang members. The man tried to convince the teens that
they had a choice and offered a vote on whether
Larry and Morris should live or should die. It is

(01:23:20):
not known exactly who cast the votes, but the bottom
line was that the brothers had to pay for their
betrayal with their own lives. Bryce ordered the other teens
to first get Morris's older brother Morris out of the bathroom.
The man then took a belt and tied the boy's
hands behind his back before shoving a pair of socks
into his mouth. A hat was pulled over Morris's head,

(01:23:44):
completely covering his face, after which Bryce began punching him.
He beat the guy until he fell to the floor
and groaned in pain. All the while fourteen year old
Larry sat in the locked bathroom and heard everything that
was going on in the room. He could hear Morris
screaming in pain and begging Bryce to stop. Out of desperation,

(01:24:05):
the younger brother began banging on the bathroom door, crying
and screaming for Morris not to be touched. Larry swore
they had never said a word to anyone about that
shooting and never would, but Bryce continued to beat the
trader until he lost consciousness. The man then took a
knife and began stabbing Morris's body. He didn't want to

(01:24:28):
take all the blame for the massacre, so he further
handed the knife to Anjouan and said that they were
a gang and should punish the traders together. After Anjuan
Jacob took over and stabbed Morris's body as well. The
only member who wasn't involved in all of this was Tyrone.
Morris was left lying on the floor in a pool
of blood as Bryce ordered the teens to get Larry

(01:24:51):
out of the bathroom. Seeing his brother tied up on
the floor, the boy started screaming and crying even more,
but he soon suffered the same fate. His hands were tied,
his mouth gagged, with a rag and a hat pulled
over his face to further disorient him. Then Bryce and
the other gang members took turns stabbing him several times.

(01:25:13):
The lives of two brothers were cut short on the
same day. They were so young, talented, and could have
done a lot of good in the future, but everything
was changed by one meeting with a man who decided
that his desire was more important than the life prospects
of two teenagers. Having gotten away with massacring Christopher Jones,

(01:25:35):
Bryce apparently felt invincible. He knew those two could talk.
By getting rid of the brothers, he'd made the rest
of his little gang complicit, and that guaranteed Bryce that
now the teens would definitely keep their mouths shut for
fear of.

Speaker 2 (01:25:50):
Going to jail.

Speaker 1 (01:25:52):
In the early morning hours of Sunday, May twenty second,
twenty sixteen, Bryce and the three teens loaded Larry and
Morris's bodies into a car, drove them to the backyard
of an abandoned house a couple blocks from Bryce's apartment,
and then built a large bonfire and disposed of the remains.
When Bryce set up the fire in the backyard of

(01:26:14):
the abandoned house, he thought he had done it very
competently and no one would see the raging flames in.

Speaker 2 (01:26:20):
The middle of the night.

Speaker 1 (01:26:22):
However, the fire actually got so big that the locals
took notice. Back at Bryce's apartment, three other teens cleaned
up the crime scene with bleach and removed any possible evidence.
After the landlord was satisfied with the cleanup, he took
the boys to a coffee shop, fed them lunch as
a small reward for the massacre of the two innocent brothers,

(01:26:44):
and sent everyone home. Bryce was glad that things had
gone fairly smoothly. What he didn't know yet was that
the locals had called the police after spotting a bonfire
in the yard of an abandoned house. During the investigation,
detectives quickly discovered two partially burned bodies. Since there was
no identification on the victims, investigators first had to identify

(01:27:07):
who the remains belonged to. Police presented two sketches to
the public hoping someone would recognize the boys, and a
high school teacher who lived near by suggested they were
his students, sixteen year old Morris Gordon and his brother,
fourteen year old Larry Ordway. A cover up revealed that
the older brother had been stabbed more than a dozen

(01:27:28):
times and the younger brother more than twenty. Investigators now
faced the paramount task of finding who had done it.
They interviewed people who lived in the neighborhood of the
scene and those who knew the boys personally. It didn't
take long for police to discover that Larry and Morris
were last seen getting into local rapper Bryce Rambo's car

(01:27:48):
the day before to go to a party. Unfortunately, the
man was not found at home, but the name of
two other teenagers who were present at the party were recognized.
One of them turned out to be fifteen year old
and Joan Carter, who studied with the brothers in the
same class. After a short interrogation, the boy told the
police everything that happened at the party on May twenty first.

(01:28:12):
The teenager was very remorseful that he took part in
the attack on his classmates and was now ready to
co operate with the police. In addition, the guy admitted
that they all witnessed the massacre of Christopher Jones, whom
Bryce shot right in the middle of the street. Detectives
did not expect that working on one case can solve

(01:28:32):
another crime. At first glance in no way related to
the death of the boys. So now Bryce Rhodes was
suspected in the triple massacre, and a couple of days
later they managed to find him and bring him to
the station for questioning. The man tried to pretend that
he had no idea where the teenagers had gone after
the party, they went home and what happened to them next,

(01:28:54):
he didn't know. In general, Bryce was a musician and
had little interest in where the brother had gone at night. However,
this did not confuse the police because at the same time,
while some officers were interrogating the suspect, others were searching
his apartment. Despite the best efforts of Bryce's underage gang
members to erase evidence and cover up the crime, blood

(01:29:17):
was everywhere. So the landlord of the apartment was arrested
and charged with three felonies ending in death. When it
all happened, the police also arrested and Joan Carter and
kept him in custody, and then two other teens involved
in the massacre of Jacob and Tyrone. They were also
charged with assault. All of this happened in May twenty sixteen,

(01:29:40):
and over the next seven point five years, Bryce Rhodes
once again proved to everyone that he clearly had mental
health issues. First of all, he immediately declared his innocence,
hoping that he would get away with the deaths of
three people like his previous crimes. When Bryce shot a
man by mistake, mistaking him for another man, he was

(01:30:00):
still on probation for assaulting his mother and his girlfriend.
Bryce wreaked havoc everywhere he appeared, both in jail and
in the courtroom. It all started when a defense attorney
appointed by the state refused to represent Bryce in court,
citing a conflict of interest. It just so happened that
the lawyer was friends with Larry and Morris's grandfather and

(01:30:23):
couldn't defend the man who took both boys lives. The
lawyer explained the reason and apologized, but instead of understanding,
he got a spit in the face from Bryce.

Speaker 2 (01:30:33):
Literally.

Speaker 1 (01:30:34):
In August twenty sixteen, the rapper got into a fight
with another inmate, slashed his forehead, and told him he
would send him to the other side of the world
like the others. In September twenty sixteen, Bryce got into
a fight with another inmate, spitting in his face. A
few weeks later, Bryce became hysterical and refused to return

(01:30:58):
to his cell. He began throwing cleaning supplies at guards,
and then broke a broom in half and began waving
it in front of the guard's noses, threatening retaliation. Five
days later, Bryce urinated in a bottle and splashed detention
center staff with the contents. Because of his disgusting antics,
he was sent to court wearing a mask that protected

(01:31:21):
everyone else from his spitting. Rhodes was brought into the
court room in a wheelchair. The defendant's arms and legs
were fixed, as Bryce's condition could not be called stable.
Footage of Roads being brought to court in a wheelchair
and wearing a mask to protect the public from spit
went viral on social media, and the defendant was angry

(01:31:42):
about becoming a laughing stock. After his release, He even
threatened to finish off the judge and his entire family
blamed the prosecutor for the on the side affair, lashed
out at his attorneys and called court officials those who
judge a person by the color of their skin. In
January two thousand seventeen, just months after all the court

(01:32:04):
room drama. Bryce was charged with attempted escape from custody.
One day, guards were just searching the cells and discovered
that Bryce had dug a hole under the cinder blocks
under his bed a forbidden metal object. Throughout this time,
Bryce also sent threatening notes to other teens and his gang,
calling them rats and threatening to kill them. In two

(01:32:26):
thousand seventeen, the rapper also decided to forego the services
of a lawyer and represent himself in court. Apparently he
considered himself smarter than lawyers. When Elizabeth Rees, the mother
of the deceased Larry and Morris, appeared in the hall
at one of the court sessions, the defendant turned around
and sent her air kisses. This enraged the woman so

(01:32:49):
much that she tried to attack Bryce right in the
court room. Bryce ended up delaying the trial for a
long seven years. He refused to leave his cell pretended
to be insane. As a result, many psychological examinations had
to be conducted to find out if he was ready
to stand trial at all. However, while Bryce was playing

(01:33:11):
crazy wanting to get as much attention to his person
as possible, three teenagers involved in the massacre made a
plea bargain and testified that Bryce was the organizer of
the crime and actually forced them to take part in it,
and Joe and Carter fifteen was sentenced to ten years
in prison. He was released on parole in twenty nineteen

(01:33:33):
for good behaviour, on one condition that he pay for
the headstone of the two victims, Larry and Morris. Jacob
Taylor seventeen and Tyrone Cowman nineteen also pleaded guilty and
were sentenced to ten years in prison. The young men
are still incarcerated. In December twenty twenty three, seven point

(01:33:56):
five years after committing three crimes, Bryce Roads finally went
to trial, and surprisingly the trial was held without any
incident on the part of the defendant. This time, he
was dressed in a suit and was not shackled. Throughout
the trial, the rapper remained silent. He was found guilty
on all charges and sentenced to life in prison without

(01:34:18):
the possibility of parole. The judge ruled that Bryce could
not be given the death penalty because of his low
intellectual development. It just so happens that the judicial system
has failed to shield the public from a monster like
Bryce Rhodes. Had he been convicted of assaulting his mother
and his girlfriend. The tragedy would not have happened, and

(01:34:39):
Christopher Jones, Larry Ordway and Morris Gordon would still be alive.

Speaker 2 (01:34:45):
You're a real true.

Speaker 1 (01:34:46):
Crime fan if you've watched all the way to the end,
subscribe to the channel and turn on the bell to
not miss new videos. Also put alike on the video
and write your opinion on the case in the comments.
Some men facing a midlife crisis begin to make up
for what they didn't have time to do when they
were younger. Welsh multi millionaire Peter Morgan went on a

(01:35:09):
wild goose chase and met the girl of his dreams.
Only this love had deadly consequences. Two friends were sitting
on a sofa in a bungalow located on the territory
of an ancient castle and talking about their problems. One
of them was complaining about how her lover had left
her and what she planned to do about it. At

(01:35:31):
the same time, a man was in his own house
a few dozen kilometers away from the castle. His fingers
were literally digging into the receiver of his cell phone.
A second ago, he heard something that would later change
the rest of his life. Today's story took place in
the UK in Wales in two thousand sixteen. Peter Morgan,

(01:35:53):
a Welsh multi millionaire real estate tycoon and from Abergavenny,
could afford a lot of things. He had amassed his
fortune with ease and now enjoyed a life of luxury.
Peter Morgan was born in nineteen sixty two. He grew
up near the town of Newport in Wales, where he
lived with his parents and younger siblings. His childhood was

(01:36:13):
a most ordinary one. The entire family lived on a
three hundred acre farm and were well off financially. Peter
was a bit spoiled from childhood. He went to school
with great reluctance, realizing that in the future he would
continue his parents work and become a farmer. The boy
thought that he had enough knowledge for that. At lessons

(01:36:34):
he was simply bored and didn't know what to do
to keep himself busy. So at sixteen Peter left school and,
with no qualifications whatsoever, got a job in a thriving
family business. Such was Peter's unremarkable life for many years.
When he reached the age of thirty, he decided it
was time for a change. A man left the family

(01:36:57):
home and married his longtime friend and a woman named Helen.
The couple soon had two daughters. The couple and their
children moved to their first home in the narrow town
of Omenmouthshire, South Wales, and lived a normal family life.
Peter settled down and felt responsible not only for himself
but also for his loved ones. At some point he

(01:37:19):
decided that it was finally time to leave the family
business and start his own business. It was quite unpredictable
because Peter had no aspirations before, and all the more surprisingly,
his new business became quite successful. Morgan's business was the
trade in prefabricated chicken coops. These were not small houses

(01:37:41):
for birds, but entire industrial hangars for raising chickens on farms.
Peter got a lot of customers and the money flowed in.
More than fifty people worked on the production of these
chicken coops. In the late two thousands, when Peter was
in his early forties, he sold his business for a
seven figure making him a multi millionaire practically overnight. While

(01:38:04):
at first he invested money in real estate and other
successful projects that brought him even more income than everything
changed dramatically, almost overnight when Peter turned forty, he says
he experienced a midlife crisis. His prudent investment suddenly turned
into a crazy spending spree. He suddenly wanted a vibrant life.

(01:38:27):
The businessman started buying luxury cars like Ferrari Lamborghini, and
acquired a bunch of high tech machinery, a tank, a helicopter,
a fire truck. Peter had a passion for weapons and
kept an AK forty seven assault rifle in his office desk,
and his most senseless purchase was an ancient castle from
the thirteenth century where he wielded all this machinery. However,

(01:38:51):
Peter's habit of ridiculous spending was not the only new
personality trait he acquired during his midlife crisis. At some point,
the man went on a business trip to Amsterdam, and
it was there that he first paid a girl of
easy Behavior for intimate services. Peter liked the new experience
because it was the first time he slept with another

(01:39:11):
woman while married, and soon this habit of getting pleasure
on the side became as necessary for Morgan as heir.
This is where today's story began to unfold. One day
in twenty eleven, Peter Morgan was spending time with his
friends at a private dance club. During the conversation, one
of the men told about an app that could be

(01:39:33):
used to book elite escort services at any time. Peter
was unusually enthusiastic about the idea, the fact that he
could download the app, browse through all these women and
just book a high class escort. It was for him
the realization of the most fantastic dream. When he returned home,
the first thing he did was download the new app

(01:39:55):
to his computer, and from then on he was on it.
Twenty four seven, Peter felt he was living in his
fantasy world and began to pay very often for the
services of female escorts. He met them all over Wales,
Newport in Cardiff, Swansea, and this happened at least once
a month. That said, Morgan wanted a new girl every time.

(01:40:20):
He never ordered the same one twice. But Morgan said
he liked variety. Each time he met with ladies of
easy virtue. The man covered it up with work trips.
At the same time, Peter's wife, Helen had no idea
about his adventures, and had no idea that her passionless
and unromantic husband was going out on the left. Perhaps

(01:40:41):
the woman was completely focused on her daughters. She didn't
care at all how her husband spent his week days.
In May twenty twelve, when Peter turned fifty, he met
a young woman named Georgina Simmons. Georgina was twenty two
years old at the time. She had grown up in
a large family in Newport, Wales. Georgina was brought up

(01:41:02):
with three brothers and grew up incredibly stubborn, fun loving,
and opinionated. She dropped out of school at the age
of sixteen and got a job working in a call
center while taking cosmetology courses. At the age of seventeen,
Georgina started a relationship with a man named Peter Deame,
who was six years older than the girl. Between them,

(01:41:24):
from the first meeting, there was an attraction, and a
few months later, Simmons became pregnant and gave birth to
a daughter, Emily. Young people, together with the baby, settled
in the house of Pete's mother. Working in a call
center brought minimal income to the young family, so Georgina
constantly complained that she lacked money. The young woman didn't

(01:41:45):
want to spend hours in a stuffy office and get
paid what she thought was a pittance. The power of
age made her want to party, hang out and enjoy life.
While her boyfriend Pete was a homebody and preferred to
avoid going to parties. Georgina could not think of anything
better than making money with her looks. She decided to
get a job as an escort. During that period, the

(01:42:06):
woman became literally obsessed with her appearance. She started dressing
very provocatively, always trying to attract the attention of the
opposite sex, and behaving very flirtatiously when talking to men.
She has undergone breast augmentation surgery twice, as well as liposuction.
She started taking lessons with triplastics and burlesque, and then

(01:42:29):
got a job at a private dance club. Things were
going great for a while. Georgina was making more money
than she ever had in her life. Her boyfriend Pete
also had a good job, and the young family was
able to move out of Pete's mom's house by their
own apartment and live independently of anyone. And that was
exactly what Georgina had dreamed of. That didn't make the

(01:42:50):
woman happy, though, she still wanted to have a lot
of money. She explained her desire by the fact that
she wanted to give her daughter Emily a better future.
It was then that Georgina decided to find a job
as an elite escort and started advertising her services on
the very app used by multi millionaire Peter Morgan. Of course,

(01:43:10):
Georgina's boyfriend, Pete was against his girlfriend providing such services.
He was well aware that the escorting could end up
as a bedroom date. The man rejected the very idea
of having to share his woman with clients, but Pete
didn't want to leave Georgina and his daughter either, so
after a serious conversation, they agreed that they would have

(01:43:31):
an open relationship. The couple also agreed that they would
keep Georgina's new job as an escort a secret from
the rest of the family. On her profile on the
escort app, the woman called herself Hannah James and listed
the various services she was willing to offer. This is
how her job as an escort began, and sometime in

(01:43:54):
May twenty twelve, Georgina and Peter Morgan had a fateful
meeting on an escort booking app. All this would later
trigger a series of unpleasant events that would lead to
terrible consequences. Peter approached Georgina through the app and they
went on their first date. The couple had dinner and
chatted a bit about nothing. Literally from the first meeting,

(01:44:16):
Morgan fell in love with the pretty blonde. He was
mesmerized by her form. He became obsessed with this young woman.
Just for their first kiss, Peter paid Georgina two hundred dollars,
and during the evening and night he gave her various
amounts of money for her services.

Speaker 2 (01:44:34):
Surely these were.

Speaker 1 (01:44:35):
Not small sums, as Hannah James was a high class
escort agent and her prices were also quite high. Before
meeting Georgina, Peter had never resocialized with any girl because
he liked variety. However, meeting Simmons changed everything. His own
beliefs about one woman only once fell apart instantly. As

(01:44:58):
the business man was determined and to see Georgina again,
he arranged a paid date for a second time, then
a third, fourth, and fifth. Whereas before he'd only spent
time with other women once a month, now the meetings
had increased to once a week and they were only
with Georgina Simmons. As time went on, things began to

(01:45:21):
heat up. Peter wanted to spend as much time as
possible with his new girlfriend. He was not only physically
attracted to this woman, he was willing to pay just
to have Georgina spend an hour in his Compnay, he
loved being around her. They went on dates, to the movies,
to restaurants. Peter bought her clothes, shoes, bags, jewelry. He

(01:45:45):
once gave her a red ferrari. All this time, he
also paid her separately for intimate meetings. Everything happened so
quickly that the man didn't notice how much he fell
in love with Georgina. Deep down, he didn't think of
Simmons as an escort. He thought of her as his girlfriend.
There was even a time when Peter's wife and daughters

(01:46:07):
went on a weekend get away, and the man paid
Georgina thousands of dollars to spend that time with him
at his home. Peter's wife, Helen, had no idea that
while she and the kids were having fun on vacation,
a girl from an elite escort was living in their
family home and her husband would satisfy his deepest desires
in their marital bedroom. And so it went on for

(01:46:30):
the next few months. Peter literally dissolved into Georgina. He
was obsessed with her. He was fifty years old and
she was only twenty two, and Simmons was old enough
to be his daughter. But it didn't stop Morgan that
his elite girlfriend was practically the same age as his children.

(01:46:51):
He was head over heels in love with this girl. Naturally,
for Georgina, it was just a job and an opportunity
to get as much money as possible. It didn't even
bother her that Peter treated her more like property than
a person. In addition to Morgan, she also dated other
male clients and made love to them for money. In addition,

(01:47:11):
Simmons still had a boyfriend, Pete Dean, with whom she
was in an open relationship. But Peter didn't care about
Georgina having a boyfriend. The man just ignored him. Rather,
he was nervous about the other men paying the girl
to escort him. He couldn't bear the thought of his
girlfriends spending nights with others. His possessive nature did not
allow him to share his woman with anyone else. So

(01:47:34):
Morgan decided to pay up and purchase exclusive rights to
Georgina's escort so that she would be left entirely to him.
From that moment on, Simmons could no longer see other clients,
and she herself was quite satisfied with it. Because she
received a much larger sum from one client than from
a dozen different ones. The woman didn't see it as

(01:47:56):
a problem for her. The deciding factor was the money
she would eventually receive for her escorting. Peter was paying
Georgina ten thousand pounds that's almost thirteen thousand dollars a month,
just for the exclusive rights to her. Besides that, he
paid for everything else, her living expenses, food, clothing, and

(01:48:16):
the like. Morgan put Georgina and her young daughter in
his castle, since the old building itself was too dilapidated
to live in. The woman and her child lived in
a small bungalow on the castle grounds. Peter imagined it
was his princess, hidden from everyone and belonging to him alone.

(01:48:37):
Peter's wife had never been to the castle he had bought,
so she had no idea that anyone lived there at all.
Georgina's boyfriend was forbidden to appear within Morgan's private property,
so it turned out the man was really isolating his
lover from the rest of the world. It was his
twisted fairy tale. It should not be forgotten that her

(01:48:57):
little daughter also lived with Georgina, and Peter had essentially
forbidden the child's father to see his daughter on the
castle grounds. It also drove a wedge between Pete and Georgina.
It got to the point where the woman started calling
her partners Pete rich and Pete poor and treating them
the same. Such a nickname did not make Pete's boyfriend

(01:49:18):
Dim happy. He felt like a failure. This probable life
in the castle as a willing, high paid captive continued
for three years. Morgan provided Georgina with a luxurious lifestyle.
He took her on trips to London and other cities.
They spent a luxurious vacation in South Africa. Peter paid

(01:49:40):
for his girlfriend's beauty treatments and tried to spend every
free minute with her. To him, Simons was more than
just a hired escort. She practically became his secret family,
with whom he lived in his own world, detached from reality.
They rode ATVs together on the castle grounds, watched movies together,
went for walks, made love Peter was incredibly happy, but

(01:50:04):
Georgina was just trying to do her chaperoning job.

Speaker 2 (01:50:07):
Well.

Speaker 1 (01:50:08):
The more time she spent with Peter, the less opportunity
she had with her boyfriend, Pete. Pete dem wasn't about
to give up on Georgina and had been trying to
change things for three years. Having a young mistress around,
Morgan wanted to match her and went to extreme measures
to change his appearance. He dreamed of making his girlfriend
proud of him, so he began to train a lot.

(01:50:30):
He lost weight, whitened his teeth, and completely changed his style.
Peter now wore designer clothes and tried to follow fashion.
His appearance changed dramatically from day to day, at least
he thought so. However, the wife realized that her husband
had someone on the side only at the moment when

(01:50:51):
on Valentine's Day she saw a receipt for flowers sent
to another woman. However, it seems that Helen was happy
with this date of affairs because she did not do
anything about it, but only further distanced herself from her husband.
She was quite content with her life, not really caring
what her husband did outside the house. So Georgina lived

(01:51:14):
on the castle grounds for three years. Peter took advantage
of the fact that his wife looked the other way
and went off to his mistress every time to have
a passionate rendezvous with her. Morgan paid separately for each
night of love making, on top of the money he
gave for exclusive rights to keep the woman in the castle,
so Simmons made a hell of a lot of money

(01:51:37):
to diversify her intimate life. Georgina began to bring her
escort girlfriends to the castle, and Peter enjoyed a triple pleasure.
He also paid for that separately. These intimate threesomes began
to happen again and again. Each time the man demanded
to bring new women, prioritizing Georgina in every case. One day,

(01:52:00):
when Peter's wife and daughters were away from home, he
decided to bring his mistress and one of her escort
girlfriends to his family home. They engaged in love making
on the marital bed. Moreover, to make matters worse, the
business man asked one of the women to change into
his wife's dress. In his head, he had long had
an unattainable fantasy of making love as a threesome. Him

(01:52:23):
Georgina and his wife, Helen. Peter knew perfectly well that
in reality it was impossible because his wife would never
agree to share the family bed with any one but
her husband, let alone.

Speaker 2 (01:52:34):
A call girl.

Speaker 1 (01:52:36):
So at least in this way, Peter realized his dream.
The only thing he didn't know was that Georgina had
videotaped the whole encounter. She had recorded every minute of
their threesome, how her girlfriend had changed into Peter's wife's clothes,
how they had fondled each other in the marital bedroom,
and other racy moments. This videotape would later come to

(01:52:58):
light in the case. The affair between Peter and Georgina
continued for some time before almost all of Morgan's life
was ruined, and it all started with simmons boyfriend, Pete
dimm was becoming increasingly unhappy with the current situation with
his girlfriend Peter. He wasn't happy that Georgina was spending

(01:53:18):
so much time with a regular client. The guy had
certain feelings for the girl and just wanted to continue
his life next to her and their daughter, Emily, but
Morgan constantly got in his way. One day, Pete got
fed up with it and broke up with Georgina, and
shortly afterward, Peter's wife, Helen, found out about her husband's

(01:53:39):
long standing affair with an escort girl. She had accidentally
stumbled upon text messages between them and could no longer
ignore the situation. Peter still hoped that he could find
a way out of the unpleasant situation. He honestly confessed
to his wife about the affair and was sure that
she would be able to understand his intimate passions and

(01:54:01):
be sympathetic. However, Helen was not going to put up
with the presence of a mistress in their family life.
She kicked Peter out of the house and filed for divorce,
demanding a fair share of all assets. It would seem
that now Morgan, without a shame, could move in with
Georgina and live happily without guilt in front of his wife.

(01:54:23):
In addition, the girl broke up with her boyfriend. But
everything was not so simple, because in the life of Simmons,
one after the other happened two unimaginable tragedies that tore
her heart apart. The first occurred in mid twenty fifteen,
when the girl's father committed suicide. The circumstances of his
death are unknown, but it was absolutely devastating news for Georgina.

(01:54:46):
She couldn't come to her senses for a long time
and was very worried. As soon as the pain of
loss began to ease a little, a second tragedy struck
just a few months later. Towards the end of twenty fifteen,
Georgina's ex boyfriend, Pete, also struck out on his own
after breaking up with the mother of his child. He

(01:55:07):
fell into a deep depression. Pete felt like his life
had lost all meaning his beloved woman was taken away
from him, his daughter was taken away. No one needs him,
and unfortunately the young man could not cope with his emotions.
In November twenty fifteen, he was found hanged in a
forest area. Two consecutive deaths of the people closest to

(01:55:30):
her hit Georgina very hard. She began to have mental
health problems. The girl fell into depression and there was
nothing left of the self confident, stubborn conqueror of hearts.
She was no longer the same person.

Speaker 2 (01:55:44):
Now.

Speaker 1 (01:55:44):
It was difficult for her to even get out of bed.
She numbed her pain with alcohol and even turned to
illegal drugs to try to cope with life's tragedies. Her
behavior toward Peter also began to change dramatically. Georgina distant
herself from Morgan deep down, she blamed him for her
ex boyfriend Pete's suicide. Simons began to seek comfort from

(01:56:08):
another man, an old friend she had known for years.
Georgina started dating this man, spending a lot of time
with him. He seemed very nice, indeed, because he had
helped her through this difficult time, and a close relationship
developed between them. The appearance of a new rival on
the horizon did not please Peter, who had kept Georgina

(01:56:30):
entirely to himself and to some extent, considered her his property.
He wasn't going to turn a blind eye to the
fact that Simons was paying attention to someone else. Peter
began to constantly remind his mistress that he paid for
her life, bought her absolutely everything, gave her a roof
over her head, and provided for her child, so he

(01:56:53):
basically owned her and only he had rights to her.
The more obsessive Peter became, the more trained his relationship
with Georgina became. The man kept making his mistress feel guilty,
so she also hardened towards him. It was out of
character for Simons to endure constant reproach. She wasn't going
to allow herself to be treated like property, like an object,

(01:57:16):
so their trips to events together often ended in ugly
scenes in public. Georgina insulted Peter in front of everyone,
humiliating him and making him look worthless. Her stubborn temper
was expressed in such unflattering behaviors. The woman's behavior was
also exacerbated by taking illegal drugs. She began to go

(01:57:36):
off the rails and lose her temper. Substance use was increasing,
and somehow Social services got wind of it. The child
welfare authorities were concerned about whether Georgina was a good
mother to her five year old daughter, Emily and could
take care of her as a parent should, so they
started an investigation of Simmons. When the woman found out

(01:57:56):
about this investigation, she blamed Peter for everything. Georgina thought
he was the one who'd contacted Social Services to have
another way to control her. There wasn't really any evidence
that Morgan had a hand in it, but it wasn't
worth ruling it out after all. Somehow the child welfare
authorities had been informed of the story. Anyway, Georgina was

(01:58:18):
convinced it was Peter. She believed he was the only
one who could have sicked Social services on her, and
now she was risking her daughter being taken away. The
woman directly accused her lover, which caused a huge scandal
and a break in the relationship. Georgina despised Peter.

Speaker 2 (01:58:37):
He too.

Speaker 1 (01:58:38):
In turn, this situation began to get bored, and the
man began to spy on the former mistress. Since Simmons
lived in his bungalow on the territory of an ancient castle,
Morgan managed to stuff the house with listening devices. Each
of them had a SIM card that had to be
called to hear what was happening in the room. Sitting

(01:58:59):
in his home, Peter dialed the number fixed behind the
SIM card connected to a listening device that activated the
microphone and could hear everything Georgina was saying. Morgan called
the listening device several times a day. It became his obsession.
He followed his mistress almost twenty four hours a day,

(01:59:19):
seven days a week over the next ten weeks. Peter
called the listening device a total of five hundred fourteen times,
which was approximately ten times per day. These calls lasted
for hours. It is unclear how he had so much
free time, as he was a successful businessman. Apparently keeping
tabs on Georgina was his priority at that moment. Peter

(01:59:43):
didn't hear anything interesting at first. Most of the time
the woman was talking to her young daughter. Sometimes girlfriends
came to the bungalow, but there chatter was also an
empty pastime. However, on January tenth, twenty sixteen to two, two
months after Georgina's boyfriend Pete committed suicide, Peter listened in

(02:00:04):
on a very important conversation that changed everything. On that day,
a close friend of his mistress came to the bungalow,
and Georgina began complaining to her about Morgan. The woman
stated that he had left her and she didn't want
to be around him anymore, but also that Simone was
too dependent on his money. The bungalow owner blamed Peter

(02:00:25):
for poisoning social services, who could have taken the child
away from her and her daughter. Fortunately, the case against
Georgina had concluded and she was now in no danger.
The child welfare authorities did not find any serious violations
in Emil's care and upbringing, but the woman did not
plan to inform Morgan. She wanted to continue to play

(02:00:47):
on his guilt in order to get more money from
her lover, using the fact that social Services could take
her daughter away from her. But the revelations didn't end
there because Peter heard another revelation that made him go pale.
Georgina revealed to her friend the plan of how she
was going to get away from Morgan while taking all
the money from him.

Speaker 2 (02:01:09):
First, the woman.

Speaker 1 (02:01:10):
Planned to get her lover to sign over the bungalow
where she was still living to her and then break
up with him for good. But that was only part
of her plan. Turns out, Georgina was planning to blackmail Peter.
She had a secret videotape of the three of them
making love in the Morgan's marital bedroom. Her escort girlfriend
was dressed as Peter's wife, Helen, and now Simons wanted

(02:01:32):
to scare the business man by showing the video to
his wife and daughters and posting it on social media.
Since Peter was now divorced from his wife, he didn't
really care what Helen thought. However, the man still hoped
to maintain a great relationship with his children. Morgan realized
that if his daughters saw the video, they would reject him,

(02:01:53):
wanting nothing more to do with their father. He would
burn with shame in front of his acquaintances and friends,
and it would completely ruin his life. Listening to the
conversation between his mistress and her friend, Peter was indescribably horrified.
It was the first time he had learned that his
intimate amusements had been videotaped. But what shocked him even

(02:02:15):
more was that the girl he had considered the main
and only love of his life was capable of such betrayal.
Shock and despair were replaced by sudden rage. Now Peter
was forming a plan in his mind that would bring
him back to his former calm and confidence. On January eleventh,
the day after all those revelations from the mistress that

(02:02:37):
Peter had overheard, his mobile phone began showing alarming search queries. Then,
on January twelfth, Morgan went to a supermarket and bought
a rope, cable ties, plastic bags, and rubber gloves. After that,
he drove to his Bungalow castle where Georgina lived. The
business man didn't waste time and immediately confessed to the

(02:02:59):
mistress that he knew about her plans thanks to the
listening device. He declared that he was aware of the
impending blackmail and wasn't going to let it happen. In
a final desperate attempt, Peter threw a pile of money
at Georgina's feet, trying to persuade her to stay with him.
He promised to make her his wife, give her a

(02:03:19):
share of his fortune, and set up a life insurance
policy through which she could receive a million when he died.
Simmons hesitated for a while, but apparently the man had
repulsed her so much that she eventually rejected his proposal.
Georgina sang that because of money, she might lose her daughter,
who would then be taken by social services. She even

(02:03:41):
threatened to take her own life if that ever happened.
It seems that Georgina didn't realize that Peter had heard
absolutely everything and understood that the welfare authorities had finished
their investigation and had no complaints against her, since she
was still trying to deceive him. Another brazen lie enraged
Peter so much that he decided to terrify his mistress.

(02:04:03):
At that moment, Georgina was sitting on the couch. The
man pulled out the purchased rope, wrapped it around her neck,
and tightened it with all his might. In reality, he
had no intention of taking the girl's life. He only
wanted to scare her into agreeing to stay with him.
Peter continued shouting at Georgina as he strangled her, but

(02:04:24):
instead of yielding submissively, the stubborn woman retorted that he
would pay for everything and that he wouldn't get away
with it. After these words, Morgan's intention to intimidate abruptly
changed into a concrete desire to send Georgina to the
afterlife so that she would be silenced forever. Peter pulled

(02:04:45):
out a blanket and covered the girl's face because he
couldn't bear to watch the final moments of her life.
He simply kept tightening the rope again and again until
the victim stopped twitching. Georgina Simmons lost her life at
the age of twenty five. Her six year old daughter,
Emily was left orphaned, with neither a father nor a mother.

(02:05:07):
And all of this happened because Georgina, in her desire
to secure a comfortable life for herself and her child,
couldn't stop in time, and was ultimately ruined by an
insatiable thirst for money. In the end, after everything had happened,
Peter tried to cover his tracks, but he didn't do
a very good job. He put on rubber gloves, tied

(02:05:27):
the woman's ankles and wrists with cable ties, and wrapped
her body in plastic. Then he placed the lifeless Georgina
on the back seat of his suv. Morgan thought it
was a good idea to take the mistress's body to
the old family home where his ex wife and two
daughters had once lived. The mansion was situated on a

(02:05:48):
fairly large plot of land. Peter decided to hide the
body in an outbuilding, thinking that no one would ever
discover it there. In covering up the body, the man
made a series of stupid mistakes. First, all his actions
were recorded on the security cameras installed at his own home.

(02:06:08):
Peter didn't even bother to delete those recordings. Second, he
loaded Georgina's body along with her mobile phone and made
sure to turn it off at the moment he was
already on his own property. Later in the latter part
of the same day, people began noticing that Georgina was missing.
She didn't show up at school to pick up her

(02:06:29):
six year old daughter Emily after classes, even though it
was already eight pm. Simmons's friends grew worried when they
couldn't reach her by phone. They immediately went to the
police and filed an official missing person report, and the
first person the police approached regarding Georgina's disappearance was, of course, Peter,

(02:06:49):
because her friends were aware of her relationship with the
business man. During questioning, Morgan appeared fully willing to cooperate
with the search for the missing woman. He told the
officers that he had dropped by Georgina's place around noon
and then she asked him to leave, so he claimed
to have absolutely no idea where the woman could have

(02:07:09):
gone after he left. Nevertheless, the police reviewed the records
from Georgina's phone and determined its last known location, and
it turned out to be Peter's old family home. So
now Morgan's statement that he didn't know where Simmons had.

Speaker 2 (02:07:25):
Gone looked suspicious.

Speaker 1 (02:07:28):
Detectives returned to Peter and began interrogating him about this,
the man lied, saying that he had taken Georgina's mobile
phone so that she couldn't purchase prohibited substances from dealers.
He was incredibly worried about her using white powder and
was desperately trying to combat her addiction. That was exactly
why the missing woman's phone was in his car. But

(02:07:50):
all of this looked too suspicious. Therefore, the police took
Peter to the station for another round of questioning, and
it wasn't long before he broke down and full confessed
to his crime against Georgina Simmons. Judging by his detached
behavior during the conversation with the investigators, Peter had already
found a justification for his wrongdoing. He stated that if

(02:08:13):
he hadn't taken the girl's life, he would have faced
terrifying troubles for years because of the blackmail. He had
offered her to forget everything and stay with him, but
instead of gratitude, the mistress decided to ruin his life.
After his confession, Peter was charged, and just a year later,

(02:08:33):
the case regarding the death of Georgina Simmons was taken
to court. Although Morgan initially admitted to committing the crime,
he later decided to claim his innocence by seeking to
lessen his responsibility. The defendant argued that although he had
broken the law, he shouldn't bear full criminal responsibility for
his actions because his mental functions were impaired. Morgan had

(02:08:57):
a psychologist's report stating that he suffered from Asperger's syndrome
characterized by an overall impairment in mental development. The man
hoped to be charged with a lesser offensive manslaughter and
therefore receive a shorter prison sentence.

Speaker 2 (02:09:12):
However, the jurors.

Speaker 1 (02:09:13):
Did not agree, as there was too much evidence of
his guilt, including his confession. In the end, the multi
millionaire Peter Morgan was sentenced to life imprisonment with a
minimum time of twenty five years behind bars. The entire
crime was completely senseless. Of course, the victim cannot be
considered ideal. Georgina worked in escort services and received money

(02:09:37):
for her relationship with Peter. That very fact led the
girl to such a tragic end. However, that in no
way justifies the killing of her. Had the man treated
her as a person rather than as his property, none
of this might have happened. Simmons was simply doing a
job for which she was well paid. She never considered

(02:09:58):
herself Peter's girlfriend and never wanted to be. Morgan, who
became obsessed with the escort, fantasized that love could be
bought with money, but he didn't realize that it doesn't
work that way. The man deceived himself into thinking there
was some special connection between them, and he paid the
price when he learned that Georgina never loved him. The

(02:10:20):
saddest part of this story is the little Emily left
an orphan. It is heart breaking that, engrossed in their
adult games and dramas, her parents forgot that they were
raising a daughter.
