A record nobody thought would be broken was in September of 1995; Cal Ripken Jr. broke Lou Gehrig's consecutive games streak, as the Baltimore Orioles hosted the California Angels. Jay Dawg & CJ talk about how it all came to be for the Orioles legend.

League record for most games played consecutively. The Baltimore Orioles
face the California Angels on September sixth, nineteen ninety five,
from Oriel Park at Camden Yards in Baltimore, Maryland.

Like there's like people all the buildings around the stadium
I bet are sold at like I bet people were
selling like entrance into the building across the street so
you could see from the rooftop, like I, I can
only imagine how many people are in the area at
this moment.

Jimmy Edmonds, it looks like a young Jimmy Edmonds. Yeah

Gonna say he took a healthy hack at that. That

this game is I think about it all the time.
Like when I go to a baseball game, I try
to think of like the storyline of the game, right,

picture matchup can be the storyline.

Like I saw. It doesn't even have to be that necessary.
But like I saw like Sale versus Bartolo Cologne one time,
and that was a good enough storyline for me in
my head. You know. I went to a game earlier
this year and saw the Red Sox versus the Oh's
and I got to see Nathaniel Lowe start his first
game in Boston, even if he's not going to be

a Red Sox legend. I like to find the I
like to find the storylines when I go to games,
and I always just dream about like going to like
a perfect game or something like that. This is one
of the best storylines ever. Is going Imagine getting a
ticket to this game. Imagine how much tickets cost even
back when this game.
