Speaker 1 (00:02):
You're listening to Beyond the Cheaters, the Detective Gomez Files,
and now here is Detective Gomez. Welcome to an episode
of Beyond. She has the Detective Gomez Files. I'm your host,
Detective Domez. How's everyone during to day? Well, today we're
going to be talking about workplace violence. Just recently, a
man killed his Louisville coworker because she not paid attention

(00:26):
to him and she was taking too long on her breaks.
And I kind of go over this story lit Boks.
I think this is very important for ladies and men
of course, that when somebody is obsessed with you or
wanting us too much, there's a point where you've got
to draw a line and call the police. This particular
situation is very very sad because this woman was shot

(00:51):
at her cubicle in her office, shot five times. I
want to take you about the storks. I think this
is very very important, says Lewis and Louisville, Texas. Box
four News is a man who is concused of murdering
his coworker and signed the Lewisville office in his building
last week. According to police, that he was alleged to
obsessed and angry about her taking long work breaks. They

(01:13):
were too long and according to their rest report, and
that she would not pay attention to him, says. This
particular business actually shares a park on the Louisville Police
Department's temporary headquarters at eighteen hundred bloc of Lake Way Drive.
Says officers were there within minutes, taken the man by
the name of Murle into consity and trying to save

(01:36):
Palazzo's life. But this particular man planned this, it says Travers.
Murl fifty one was arrested on Thursday after the police
after he shot and killed tom Hara Colazzo at her
desk in the side of a business called Agents Elijah's Trucks.

(01:57):
The business shares a partmer with the Luisville Police Department
and that since according here to the arrest warn after day,
Merle told detectives in an interview that he was obsessed
with Coloso and began getting ever increasingly angry by her
taking what they call considered unauthorized long breaks during her
work or work or hours and went up and was

(02:20):
not paying attention to it. So she's taking a break
during her work hours, and he thought they were too
long and not paying attention to him, says her. After
several months of this, Colossal told Merle to stop watching
her on her breaks and reported his behavior to HR.
Now she did what she was supposed to, called human resources. Hey,
this guy's kind of stalking me outside, watching me all

(02:42):
the time, letting you guys know, all right, he was
ordered to talk to a counselor before he was approved
to return to work. So it must have been that
bad to where HR said, you know, you can take
some time off once you go talk to the counselor,
says Sir. Marle told Detexas Colouso intentionally avoided him once
he returned to work. He was fueled by it was fueled.
This fuels his anger even more so he started buying

(03:04):
guns and them shooting them at home. UH. He said
that he brought the guns to work on several occasions,
but did not use used did not do anything because
it didn't feel like it was the right time. Merle
admitted to the following UH to follow following Klausa out
to the parking lot while she took her break on Thursday,

(03:25):
he said he watched her sit in a car like
you usually, went to his vehicle to retrieve his two
revolvers and she entered after lunch. She followed her inside
to her cubicle and ambushed her, firing the gun several
times after that, he says. Police says claus was said
five times while she was in her cubicle. Two dozen

(03:46):
workers witnessed the shooting. This guy shoots her right in
the office, in front of everybody, says Merle. Turned himself
into police. Wants to arrive. He gave to Texas the
exact days that closet took breaks, and you know he
has very clear details on how long each one lasted.
He told them Colauso had caused him pain. He wanted

(04:08):
her to feel pains, so he was intentionally planned to
shoot her at work with everyone there. He's being held
in Denton County Jail on a murder charge with a
ten million dollars bond. In the statement, uh Allaigian ELIJAHS.
Truck said it was devastating, heartbroken by attraction of Also
a team member was killed in their Lewisville office. You

(04:33):
know when people earned relationships and you break up. It's
one thing. When you get somebody that's stalking, you're watching you.
You're not paying attention to you and wanting to demand
your attention. You know, how do you handle it? You know,
she did what she was supposed to. There's no reason
for this young lady to have died at her office.
Ain't a cubicle be shot like that? You know, there's

(04:59):
and how do you protect yourself from that? You know,
what when do you draw on lines that I'm going
to call the police on. It's got to protect myself
because the police can't be around all the time. If
she did what she was supposed to do, she was
supposed to call HR. She called HR and notify them.
They told me to go home. This guy was obsessed
with her and he was angry because she was taking
long work breaks and document and everything. You know, the

(05:23):
truth hurts sometimes, and somebody doesn't want to be with you.
It hurts sometimes. You've got to let people know, Hey, look,
I can be your friend, but I don't want anything
romantic with you. And you know, it just doesn't seem fair.
This little lady lost her life at her cubicle and
with everybody watching. Now, how do you return back to

(05:46):
your particular officing and how do you go back and
start working there again? Ladies, gentlemen, if you see something
like this happening, if you send somebody it's like this,
or somebody's controlling her, constantly watching, you're constantly wanting you
uh you know, no, you know, I notify each rm'

(06:07):
not to find the police part let him know this
is happening. Could this had been prevented, Yeah, she would
have carried a gun with her and protect her. So yeah,
good at possibly possibly maybe yes, maybe no. Maybe this
cowar just tolling out of his mind and a pair
soul because they got a ten million dollar bond ong
right now. So I hate to see things like this

(06:28):
happened to an innocent victim. So, ladies and gentlemen, if
you've got any way like this around, it's just too
control and threatening, you got know the find of the police,
because there are crazy people out there like this right now.
Our society is is if people shoot now and then
answer questions later. And he told the police everything, he did, everything,

(06:49):
He've been planning, buying guns for months, thinking about behind
he was going to lose, and wanted her to feel
the pain like he did. That's crazy. So please think
about this, Think about your lifestyle, think about where you
go with people watching you, uh, very about who they are.
Just please be careful because this portantly did not deserve

(07:12):
to lose her life.

Speaker 2 (07:14):
Just wasn't fair, suddenly fair to her or her family
or anybody around her for this guy doing what he
did just because he didn't get the attention and.

Speaker 1 (07:29):
Didn't get what he wanted, so he decided to ambush
ambush her at parts. It's not fair. So ladies think
about this. Men think about this. There's some type of
protection with it where it's mace. On Texas, you can
leaveally carry a gun in certain places. So just you
don't have to be a big revolver. I'm no familiar
with extended the magazine or anything like that. Let's carry

(07:52):
something to protect us because you never know where you're
going to be. At win you might be all right.
