Speaker 1 (00:00):
What's up, everyone, and welcome back to the Epstein Chronicles.
Jeffrey Epstein and his life was pretty much shrouded in mystery.
So when you can find something that gives you a
little bit of a look into that life, it's always
an interesting addition to the catalog. Today, we're going to
(00:20):
talk about Jeffrey Epstein's Spotify list and some of the
options that were on these Spotify lists, and some of
the different entertainers and musicians that Jeffrey Epstein was listening to.
So let's just dive right in and let's see what
this six son of a bitch was up to in
his spare time. This article from Business Insider headline, we
(00:45):
found Jeffrey Epstein's social media accounts on Spotify. His taste
range from Lewis K Lewis c K to songs like
before he Accused Me and Hot for Teacher Now. Using
hindsight as our guide, probably not the best songs for
a diddler to have on his playlist. Right before you
(01:05):
accuse me? Uh buddy, what does that even mean? What
do you mean before we accuse you? We know who
you are, we know what you're up to. We're accusing
you and hot for teacher? Really, what is he having
some fantasies from when he was back at Dalton? This
is one sick, twisted dude, and the fact that he
was able to be active for so long is just bananas.
(01:30):
This article was originally published on August twenty second of
twenty nineteen and the author is Megan Morris. Every now
and then, Jeffrey Epstein offered a winking reference to the
well known allegations against him after his jail stint. In
two thousand and eight, for example, the money sex offender
(01:51):
commissioned a mural depicting him in prison. Garb I had
this painted, he told a visitor who encountered the mural
at his Manhattan mansion, because there is always the possibility
that could be me again. Talk about wise words from
a dumb man. And he knew it could always be
him again, because he was still doing what he was doing.
(02:11):
If he was not up to what he was up to, right,
if he wasn't up to diddling, if he wasn't up
to molesting and raping, if he wasn't up to money laundering,
then he wouldn't even have those thoughts in his head. Look,
I'm a changed man, I'm a reformed man. I know
what I did was wrong. I would never do it again.
Blah blah blah blah blah. None of that ever from him.
(02:32):
In fact, what we had from Jeffrey Epstein was just
ridiculous comparisons such as, I'm not a sexual predator, I'm
an offender. It's the difference between a murderer and a
person who steals a bagel. Those were his exact words,
and that's how he felt about this. There was no remorse,
there was no come to Jesus moment. There was no
(02:53):
I did wrong. The contents of Epstein's public Spotify account,
recently identified by Business Insider gesture in a similar direction.
They illustrate a widely varied taste in music, from Beethoven
to Elton John and Pittbull to Celine Dion. They also
suggest a preference for hard rock songs from the nineteen
(03:15):
seventies that emphasized male sexual conquest, as well as the
odd song about sexual attraction between children and adults, Van
Halen's Hot for Teacher and an Oscar Peterson performance of
My Heart Belongs to Daddy. I mean, look, if you
were looking at this under normal circumstances, you would say
(03:36):
to yourself, so what, the guy likes some varied music,
Big deal. But when you know who you're dealing with,
and you have a profile built of this person already,
it becomes much more disgusting when you see songs like that. Meanwhile,
a Pinterest page includes a painting of Peter Pan The
boy who never grows up and leads a young girl
(03:56):
in her siblings out of their home. Sounds about right.
U dude never wanted to grow up certainly led a
bunch of young girls and their siblings and others out
of their homes and into his viper's nest. Business Insider
found three of Epstein's online accounts after reviewing his correspondence
(04:17):
with the Florida Probation officers, who supervised his release in
two thousand and nine after serving thirteen months in jail
on charges that included soliciting a miner for prostitution. The
correspondence indicates Epstein had an email address with the username
je vacation, a combination of his initials jee and vacation boy.
(04:39):
Was he creative? Huh jay ee vacation. Oh, I'm so creative.
My name's Jeffrey Epstein. I bet you his password was
Epstein one two three. Business Insider found profiles with the
same username on Twitter, Pinterest, and Spotify. The profiles on
Twitter and Pinterest bear the name Jeffrey Epstein. The Spotify
(05:01):
account lacks his full name, but his followers on the
music platform include accounts that appear to belong to women
in his social network. It's pretty amazing too, how obvious
it was that all of these people were working together,
and people like cy Vance and all these other prosecutors.
They couldn't put two and two together. A lawyer for
(05:25):
Epstein contacted before the jailed multimillionaire's suicide earlier this month
alleged suicide did not respond to her quest for comment.
A two thousand and seven Supreme Court ruling allows sex
offenders to use social media, though individual platforms can bar
individual users. New York, where Epstein had a townhouse, requires
(05:46):
sex offenders to submit Internet information, including all email addresses
and social media accounts, to the state Sex Offender Registry.
That information isn't publicly available, but social media companies with
u S users under eighteen can request it. You think
they did? You think any of these social media companies
carried that Jeffrey Epstein's out here doing what he was doing.
(06:09):
We know that cartels are using social media right now
for human trafficking and selling drugs and a whole host
of other fucked up activities, So you really think they
were worried about their boy Jeffrey Epstein, who they were
breaking bread with on the playlist Before You Accuse Me
and Louis c. K. Epstein's Twitter presence was insignificant. He
(06:33):
never tweeted or followed anyone On Pinterest. He had one
board with eight pins of home decorations, including a painting
of Peter pan. Epstein's Spotify account was much more heavily used.
It has nineteen playlists created from twenty eleven to twenty fifteen.
Two playlists, Paris Flight and Paris Return, appear to be
(06:55):
named for trips to and from Paris, where Epstein owned
in an apartment and frequently traveled via private jet. Paris
Flight features several classic rock stalwarts like Aerosmith, led Zeppelin,
The Who the Doors. Paris Return, in contrast, is heavy
on blues and jazz. So he had all these different
playlists set up for the different trips he was taking
(07:17):
on his plane. Paris or England or wherever. Now. It's
interesting that they bring up Paris here because we haven't
heard too much lately about what's going on there. We
know Epstein was raping girls there, We know him and
Jean Luke Brunel were active there. Is there still an
investigation or did that just die on the vine too?
(07:38):
Other playlists focus on Elton John, classical music, Broadway tunes,
the jazz artist Oscar Peterson, and the rapper Pitbull. Elsewhere
you can find Eric Clapton's Before You Accuse Me, the
Christian singer Morris Chapman's Falling in Love with Jesus, Van
Halen's Hot for Teacher, and the disgraced comic Lewis c
K's album Hilarious. Yo, The whole Hot for Teacher shit
(08:01):
cracks me up. And you want to talk about ironic
falling in love with Jesus really breaking news? Mister Epstein,
pretty sure that Jesus wouldn't want to hang out with you.
I know, he hung out with a bunch of you know,
people who were untowards in the society right, bunch of
people that weren't considered higher crust. But Jeffrey Epstein, I
(08:25):
think Jesus would draw the line there. Peterson and his
band took the top spot by a number of songs
on Epstein's playlist at one eighty eight. Ludwig von Beethoven,
with one hundred and thirty songs was the second artist
by song count, followed by Celine Dion with one hundred
and eight. Behind them were Elton, John Billy Joel, Bob Dylan,
(08:48):
The Beach Boys, David Gaeta, the Beatles cover band The
Yester Years, including their recordings of Can't Buy Me Love?
This guy is out here listening to the Millie Vanilli
of the Beatles. Why not just listen to the Beatles themselves?
Another playlist, largely drawn from the catalog of Gaeta is
called Selena and was created in twenty eleven. Epstein has
(09:13):
publicly been linked to two women named Selena. One Selena
is Selena Middlefart. She's a Norwegian businesswoman who dated Donald Trump.
She was on Epstein's private plane several times in nineteen
ninety six in nineteen ninety seven, according to flight records
made public on Friday, but has not been publicly tied
to him since then. My guess is it's not that
(09:34):
Selena My guess is it's the next one. The other
Selena is Selena Dubin twenty four, whom four sources described
as Epstein's goddaughter. Her parents, Glenn and Eva Dubin, were
longtime friends of Epstein. Her mother dated him in the
nineteen eighties. A representative for the family denied that Epstein
was Selena's godfather, which is a lie. They said that
(09:57):
he was in court documents when they did the whole bio.
So why are they lying? And how many times are
the Dubins going to get caught lying before someone calls
them on the carpet. The billionaire family flew on Epstein's
planes many times between ninety five and two thousand and five,
(10:18):
according to flight logs that run up to two thousand
and eight. After Epstein was released from jail in two
thousand and eight, the family maintained ties with him, even
inviting him to a large Thanksgiving dinner in two thousand
and nine. Now imagine you invite this sick, disgusting bastard
to your family dinner, your Thanksgiving dinner, Your kids are
there and shit, knowing what he is. That same year,
(10:42):
when Epstein wanted to contribute to Eva Dubin's breast cancer organization.
He understood that a public donation from a registered sex
offender might not be welcomed. Business Insider previously reported she
established a new nonprofit called the Selena Dubin United Fund
to receive fifth two thousand dollars from Epstein and donate
it to her and other medical organizations. The foundation was
(11:06):
wound down in twenty thirteen. A source familiar with the
matter said Selena Dubin was not aware of the arrangement.
They're never aware, are they. It's always someone else doing
things for them that benefit them. I wish I had
some proxy out here that was making all these moves
and fifty grand would show up in my bank account.
That would be great. And those of you who know me,
(11:27):
you know that breast cancer is a huge deal for me.
My girlfriend was diagnosed with stage two B breast cancer
in twenty seventeen, and it was the most difficult time
of my life. You want to talk about an uphill battle,
You want to talk about every day waking up and
not knowing every day waking up and wondering what next. Yeah,
(11:50):
that was my life, folks, And it was real, real hard.
But guess what, even under all of that stress, under
all of that pressure, money from Jeffry Epstein, no thank you.
One woman whom Epstein paid to give him erotic massages
in the two thousands told Business Insider that Epstein had
(12:11):
referred her to the Dubins as well, though she said
the massage she gave the couple was not sexual in nature.
The Dubins have no recollection of this person or event,
but regardless, nothing inappropriate is being alleged. Andy suggested in
the country is highly irresponsible and completely inaccurate, A spokesperson
said in a statement, Well, we know that there's a
(12:31):
different story about that, don't we. We know what Virginia
has said, and we know she's pointed the finger directly
at Glenn Dubin. A former employee for the couple said
in a recently unsealed deposition testimony that he spoke with
a Swedish girl in the Dubin's kitchen who said she
was fifteen years old and had been asked for sex
while working as Epstein's personal assistant and was threatened when
(12:55):
she refused. She didn't say who asked her for sex,
The former employee said. The girl later worked for the
Dubans as a nanny for several weeks now. We've talked
about this several times. If I was this butler, I
would There's been no way that I just sit here
and hear this story and not take action. Call the police,
(13:16):
confront the Dubans, or take this little girl with me. Hey, look,
do you want to leave right now? Because if you
want to leave, believe me when I tell you we
can leave right now. That's what I would say to
this kid. And as I was walking out the door,
I'd be on the phone with the police to have
them meet me. How is it that this little kid
can come in here, she's sobbing, crying, the whole nine,
and you don't go into action, You don't do anything
(13:38):
about it. Even if you're a straight up coward or
somebody who's not into confrontation, at some point you have
to stand up for what's right. And a little girl
crying to you that she's being molested or hurt. I
would think that if there's ever a time that would
be it through a representative. The Dubins denied the former
(13:59):
employees claim. Glenn and Eva Dubin are outraged by the allegations.
In the unsealed court records which are demonstrably false in defamatory.
The Dubins have flight records and other evidence that definitively
disprove that any such events ever occurred. We haven't seen
any of it. By the way, all of these people
have done the same thing. They've all told us they
(14:19):
have this evidence. They've all told us about this, that
or the other thing, but they've never provided any of it.
So I'm in the receipts business. If you don't got receipts,
I don't want to hear it. The family now says
they regret their relationship with Epstein, and that if they
had known of the new allegations, they would have cut
all ties with them. They said they thought he had
(14:40):
rehabilitated himself after jail and deserved a second chance. Give
me a break. Stop it. You didn't think that you
knew what he was the whole entire time. Epstein's other
musical interests seemed to include Phil Collins, Michael Jackson, and
Mick Jagger, who appeared in his Black Book, a list
of contacts obtained by Gawker in twenty fifteen. Jackson is
(15:03):
the only artist of the three to appear on Epstein's
Spotify playlists. That doesn't shock me. And as far as
other musicians and shit, nobody ever really brings it up
or calls them out. But what was Roger Waters' wife
and Glenn Maxwell doing? I mean, is anyone ever gonna
bring that up when they're, you know, talking to this
(15:24):
guy or are they just gonna continue to gush over room.
My guess is they'll continue to gush over room and
they'll continue to choose who they target here as far
as people who are involved with Epstein, But for me,
anyone who's in that black book, anyone who's paling around
with these people, believe it. They are on the radar
and their time's coming on this podcast. All right, folks,
