eight squatch. That's eight seven eightseven seven eight two eight two four.
And now for the encounter. Oh, the aser is Henry. Me and
(00:28):
a couple of my friends in aten year old son went out in the
pub running a trout line out hereon the same the Center River one night
about one thirty two o'clock in themorning. And then one guy he cuts
(00:49):
trees down from living from the NationalForest, and he was in the boat
and me and me and him weregot the trout line and we got a
strung across the who tied it onthe one side of the bank and haddling
it across the other side and gotthe other side, and we tied off
and we started baiting it. Wegot about halfways of baiting this damn trout
line and we're down in the downin the river, you know. So
(01:11):
there's a levy above us on oneside of the bank, and it's real
steep. It's like thirty forty footand it's real steep, and it's hard
to climb up and down. Ifyou wanted to go up there, he'd
be it really hard to go outthere. And we got about halfways baiting
this trout line and this thing outthere started walking. And I'm in the
(01:34):
boat and I hear this thing walking. The gun in the front of the
boat. He didn't hear it,and I hear it. And he started
finding here and I said, whatthe hell is that? He goes,
Oh, that's the horses or gigsor cow the so I'm walking. I
said, dude, that thing istwo foot and it's big. And all
three of us have been hunters andfishermen, all our light foot we're in
our forties when when we're doing this, and this damn thing started walking up
(02:00):
there, and every footstep it tookevery bit of four to five seconds or
more for that other foot to hitthe ground, and one it it crushed
everything underneath it. See you couldhear this thing walking, crush and then
weighed about four to five seconds andthen crush again. It just kept walking
(02:21):
And I told that, guys, and that's two putting. It's freaking big,
dude. And he started listening toit. And then the one son
and the ten year old boy wereover there by my truck, and the
kid was telling I could hear himwhile they're Dad, what is that?
What is that that? Dad's tellinghim to be quiet? And then the
kid starts crying because he could seethe fear in his you know, looking
(02:45):
at dad's eyes, because his dadwas paying attention to him. He was
looking up there at that up ontop of that levee, hearing this thing
walk. So the guy in theboat with me, he looks at me
and tells me we need to getthe hell out of there, and I
look at it, go why,and he goes, we just need to
go. We need to get outof here, and get out of here
(03:06):
now. So he paddles all theway back over there where we tied the
trout line up to the other sideof the bank, and he cuts the
trout line and then he starts grabbingthe trout line and pulls it back inside
the boat. I mean, he'spulling this and I usually put my trout
line back on the sticks so don'tget all tangled up. But he was
yankings putting it in the boat, and he didn't give a shit. So
(03:29):
we get to the get over theother side of the bank and I got
an M one carveing in the truck. I got nine I got three banana
clips. I got ninety rounds andI thirty round banana clips. And I
told him, man paddled me acrossover there, and I want to go
check this thing out. He'll seewhat is. And I had one of
them old cheesey flashlights. I hadthe big square battery in it. You
(03:54):
know. He had to shake itto get at work once in a while,
and it wasn't really bright. Hepricing maybe ten twenty feet with that
dang thing. And uh, hegoes in here, I'm handing you across.
But we I'm leaving. We're we'releaving you here. I said,
how can he leave me here?My truck is in, the keys are
in the truck. We're leaving. We're getting the hell out of here.
(04:15):
We need to go. Well,he cuts trees down for the National Forest,
and he knew what was out thereup in that woods, and he
knew that I didn't have enough firepowerto take care of myself up there.
For some reason, I had athirty you know in one car means that's
a pretty good, you know,a good round. But he was dead
(04:36):
on set on leaving me there, and I said, nope. I jumped
in the truck and we all welaughed. Man, But I don't understand.
That's my that's my story, andI mean that was and I don't
want go in the woods by myselfanymore. I'm m I just I know
what's out there, and it's noteverybody, and people don't know what's out
(04:59):
there. And it's out there.Whatever it is, it's out there.
