Our scheduled guest Michael Finch called in sick, so I touched on his new book, A Time to Stand, The Dire Hour to Defend American Beauty. Also analyzed the disfunction of our government and why we're not getting what we paid for. Our government's track record is obvious. It's designed to serve the political class at the expense of We The People. Quite the gig if you can get away with it. And so far, particularly in the last hundred years, they're satisfied with the outsome. But are you?

Speaker 2 (00:38):
Welcome afternoon, Welcome, Good to have you with us. Bill
Martinez here for more information on the show. I got
Bill Martinez Live dot com. We are on standby for
our guest Michael Finch a new book called Time to
Stand the Dire Hour to Defend American Beauty. Looking forward
to conversation. This is going to be a conversation Part two.

(00:59):
I was able to visit with Michael probably a couple
of weeks ago on our daily show that airs by
the Way live Monday through Friday, nine to eleven Eastern time.
And while we're waiting for him, I just give you
a quick update. We've got some major changes coming about
the show, we're going to probably start beta testing a

(01:22):
different type of way to connect with you, you know,
through our website that and that is that we'll have
an app that'll be Bill Martinez Live Exclusive. And this
way we can have a better way to converse one
with another on the issues of the day, the things
that we're talking about, the guests, many great guests that

(01:42):
we have, and particularly in this afternoon show, this is
a weekly you know, this is really affords us a
great opportunity to be able to have an extended conversation
with our guests, you know, for almost an hour, so
it's terrific. But anyway, we're waiting for Michael to come
on to talk about the dire Hour to defend American beauty.

(02:04):
Time to stand. This is quite the clarion call and
it's an encouragement, so you know, we'll hope hopefully he'll
join us here in just a moment. But meanwhile, just
to kind of bring you up to date on some
other things that we've been addressing on the Daily Show.
Or it's the big thing. Everybody's talking about socialism, right,
you know, because of Mom Donnie and what happened in

(02:25):
New York. But you know, the thing is that you
have to understand about socialism. Socialism kind of like the
Democratic Party is real good at identifying the problems. What
they're not good at is coming to a solution. This
is why in our two party system, how it works
more effectively is when you have that balance with the

(02:46):
Democrat and Republican Party. I'm not much for parties, I
tell you, I agree with you know, our first president
of the United States, President Washington, who's who warned us
about partisanship, warned us about parties that would divide it.
I mean, it's kind of mazing. Here we are the
United States of America, and what do we do. We
implement a political system that will naturally put the skins

(03:08):
against the shirts, so to speak. You know, for those
of you that have been in athletics, you understand that term.
But it pits one against the other just by its
very nature has to do that. And you know, so
how can you be the United States when you're you know,
at each other's throats, and especially the way it's gotten
because it's gotten to the point where it's not even constructive,
it's just it's almost violent. It's rage based. You know. Unfortunately,

(03:32):
one side just absolutely hates the president of the United
States and hates them. I mean hates some to the
point that, you know, you look at these numbers and
they just so casually think, well, it would be okay
if the president got shot, you know, and got assassinated.
Are you kidding me? You know, for those of us
who were around during the sixties when we had what
four assassinations in a short period of time, I mean

(03:54):
this was tragic. I mean beyond tragic. Not to mention
what it did for the trajectory of politics, you our
nation and the development everything. I don't know that we
could come back out of it and say that I'm
sure glad that happened. That was such a great thing.
You know that President Kennedy got assassinated, which still blows
me away. I Mean, here we are, what sixty two
years later, and we still can't figure out who did it. Yeah,

(04:16):
I think we know, but you know, you just you
can't talk about it anymore than you can talk about
the twenty twenty elections. Right. It's the nature of partisan
politics that refuses to deal with reason and the things
that should make sense. But anyway, so the nature of
having a two party system is First of all, the
Democrats kind of like socialists. And of course now even

(04:38):
more so because you've got the Democratic Socialists the party
who I've identified themselves. They've come out of the closet
and they are the left wing of the Democratic Party
and the DSA, and so you know, there's just denying it.
And don't be surprised. I mean, this is what you know,
Trevor Lauden. If you recall Reber Laudnuho has been on

(05:01):
the show here many times, you know, identified said Bill,
you know there's over one hundred cart caring Democratic socialists
that are elected officials in our government. Well guess what
I mean. There's no theoretical there's no conspiratorial idea. I mean,
it's obvious that here they are. And you go, okay,
how can this be? How can you have somebody as

(05:24):
a democratic socialist? I mean, forget about democrat Democrats just
to kind of make you think it's okay, it's they're socialists,
and so I don't I mean, you just have to
deal with reality that that democrats they're not democrats, they're socialists. Okay.
And as one said, the road to socialism leads to communism.

(05:48):
That's that's really what it is. So you know, get
the facts straight. Understand terminology. It means the same Democrats
are real good. The Democratic Party has been real good
at hiding and obfuscating what they're intent is. Like the
Affordable Care Act, right, it wasn't very affordable, just the
exact opposite. You know, you think about it right now.

(06:09):
Even before COVID, we were subsidizing the Affordable Care Act
to the tune of eighty percent. Think about that. I
mean it's like you got to be kidding me. I
mean I didn't even realize these numbers. I mean I
knew going in because I argued against it. I thought
that the whole you know, Obamacare was a travesty and
everything that we thought and said it would be it

(06:30):
has become. And it's been on life support for a
number of years. You know, thank you very much the
Democratic Party. They kept putting money into it, and then
COVID comes along, So what do they add? They had
another fifteen to twenty percent to the assistance, which is
the American people paying for this, and you got people
that are making a lot of picking money, I mean
over four hundred thousand dollars and they're on Obamacare, but

(06:52):
you know with subsidy, got to be kidding me. Now,
it's it's the problem, and it's this whole situation. It
is what it is, and you're seeing it for real.
It's corrupt, it's unfair. I can't blame these young kids
for looking at it, even other people going. You know,
it's an affordable ability issue, but it's affordability issue on
many you know, in many parts of our government. You know,

(07:14):
Elon Musk and Doge came in and you know, they
came in and identified you know, wasting, said look that
we could probably clean if we're serious about it, we
probably clean up at least a trillion dollars an expense.
Well you think so, I mean, you know, really pre COVID,
we were about four trillion dollars is what we're paying

(07:35):
for our government. Since then, it's you know, like we're
playing six seven seven trillion and we're at least two trillion,
you know, overdrawn every year. It's about every sixty days
we're adding another trillion. To think about this trillion dollars
in debt about another sixty years and a lot of people,
you know, I remember we stalk about a billion dollars
and say, do you realize what a billion dollars is?

(07:56):
You know, I'm a stack of one you know, one
dollar bills would go, you know, to outer space. And
you know, they did all these different memes and ideas
of what a billion dollars. Now it's a trillion dollars.
A trillion dollars is One person explaining to me the
other day said, Bill, you could spend a million dollars
a day and it would take you, I think he
said thirty thirty two thousand years, you know, to spend

(08:18):
a trillion dollars. I mean, whatever it is, even thirty
two hundred and thirty, but thirty. You know, that's a
lot of time, a million dollars a day, to spend
a trillion dollars, and yet our government spends it like nothing.
And here we are, every sixty days, we're adding another
trillion dollars. You know, it's no wonder we're thirty a
trillion dollars in debt. So something's got to give here.

(08:39):
But the issue, and of course these young people mostly
think right now, they think, well, it's Trump's fault because
Trump's in office. Trump's trying to clean up the mess
that were left on all the aisles in the grocery store,
you know, from the Democratic Party. And we can't blame
it all on Joe Biden. I mean, Joe Biden was
part of the problem. Obama did a lot, and of
course there were Republican participation as well. I get that

(09:02):
because you see the problem we have with our government.
It's designed to be corrupt. Believe it or not. It
wasn't designed by the Constitution. It's since the Constitution we've
continued to miss the mark. And particularly the Democrats figured
out the game here and they figure, look it, if
we start bringing in public assistant programs. You know, we

(09:26):
got all this money, you know, taxpayer money flowing to
these assistant programs, and guess what, I'm going to get
some vig off of that. And so they use that
vig to support their reelection campaign. So, I mean, it's
a joke when you think about it, because the taxpayer
continues to be vested in the in this participation of
this corrupt system that keeps re electing people that create

(09:50):
the problem. Right, and then they can claim some sort
of plausible deniability and say, oh, it's Trump's fault because
he's an officer of the Republicans because they have control,
you know, of the trif there They've got you know,
the house to send it and the Oval Office. Well
wait a minute, you guys left such a man. Do
you think you're going to clean it up in a
couple of days. I mean, Trump thanked God, you know,

(10:11):
was able to close the border right away. There were
some things. I mean, you know, we're paying less for eggs.
I mean I was surprised the other day I got
eighteen a dozen and a half eggs for like three bucks.
I go, what you got to be kidding? This is great.
I love it. Our gas here in Florida get paid
two seventy a gallon. My son's in California they're paying

(10:32):
like five six bucks. The ity's so crazy over there.
You know that if you're in California. I'm not saying
anything new, it's absurd. But you know, for most of America,
you know, gas is a lot cheaper. But yet there's
still other things, measurable things that people are looking at.
And I don't blame the young kids. They look and
they say, why I still can't afford a house? Well,
no kidding, in can't afford to house, but you gotta

(10:53):
understand how we got here and this mess that has
to be cleaned up so that things can be affordable.
And a big part of this is, well, I mean
there's several things. Actually, it's not just one. Big part.
Part of it is that you know, big big organizations,
big companies like you know, Black Rock and State Street
and Vanguard to all this stuff coming and these other

(11:15):
corporations said hey, we're going to buy up houses. We're
going to buy it up because there's going to be
a housing shortage, all right. So they buy up all
these houses and they create this demand and guess who what,
you know, they got all the supply, right, The supply
is controlled by them. So this is why rents are
so high. The other part of it is that you know, Biden,
let's in, I'll pick a number, ten to fifteen million

(11:37):
illegal immigrants. Well, guess what they need houses, and so
they're renting, and so this is putting pressure on the supply.
All this is contributing to the lack of affordability. The
other thing is is you've got government regulation getting in
the way making it near impossible to build a house,
and all these hoops that these people have to you know,
go through and especially right now we need new housing,

(11:58):
new building. So that's contributory inflation, cost of goods and everything.
It's just see all this is compiling. Well, Donald Trump
didn't create that. That was already there, Thank you very much.
Joe Biden and the Democrats over the years, all right,
so they create this problem. I think Bill Fetterer, our
good friend Bill Fetder from the American Minute fan, you know,

(12:18):
when he was running for Congress, realized he goes, he goes,
these guys they got such a scamyer. What they do.
These people are the ones that go out and in
front of they start the fire, right, they light up
the house, they start to burn it down, and then
they come from the backyard with a fire hose and
you know, put the fire out. And like everybody looks

(12:39):
at him, go, oh wow, you guys are so great.
You just put the fire out. But what they forget
in which the mainstream media, the mainstream media can see
them lighting the fire and burning the house down, but
they don't report on it. What they report on is, hey,
the Democrats came with fire hose and save the day.
Put the fire out. Everybody thinks, oh gosh, thank you
very much, demo, it's a scam. We've been worked and

(13:04):
we've been like to three ways to Sunday. And guess what,
we keep buying into it. People keep buying into it,
and they keep reelecting these knuckleheads that do all this damage.
They give us the Affordable Care Act, they give us
the what Reduction Inflammation Inflation Act? Right, one point seven
trillion dollars we're already in debt up thing. I think
of that point, we're about thirty four to thirty five trillion.
By oh, not enough, we got to add another one

(13:25):
point seven trillion to the debt to reduce inflation. Well,
and then they kind of laugh about it. I go,
I didn't quite do the job, did it. No, of
course not. You don't spend more money and get yourself
deeper in debt to get yourself out of it. And
it never works. Any economists with any kind of a
straight brain would tell you that's just it's a joke.
And what it was. And I mentioned this to you,

(13:45):
I said, all this stuff that happened in Biden, it
was all to payoff political debt. Just think about this
for just a moment. Hillary Clinton was supposed to win, Right,
there's no way. I mean ninety nine they told us
ninety nine million to one, you know that she would
she win odds on favor that Hillary was to win. Well,
she lost. And meanwhile, you know, she raised I think

(14:06):
she did another Kamala you know campaign covers. I think
over a billion dollars she raised. Well, that comes with
a lot of political debt. And guess what if you
were a donor and you paid and you had a
sure winner and that horse didn't come in, you not
be a happy camper. And you know, they put up
with it all, with the assurances. I'm sure the Obamas

(14:28):
and everybody else said, hey, man, don't worry twenty twenty.
You know, we're gonna get this knucklehead out of here.
He's an idiot. You know, this want to be president,
you know, want to be king. You know, this guy
doesn't know anything about politics or like that. Look what
he's doing. And so they rig this deal for twenty
twenty and they get control and next thing you know,

(14:50):
they're they're tapping into the treasury of the taxpayer and
paying off all these political you know, like I asked
Michael Butler and I even talked with you know, our
good friend you know, over Norquist with ATR Americans for
Tax Reform, I said, somebody's got to do analysis on this.
We got to figure out, you know, all this thirty
eight trillion dollars. I'm just asking the question. Maybe you
are too, I don't know, but thirty eight trillion dollars

(15:12):
in debt? How much of that money went to buy votes?
To you know, pay donors buy votes? All that And
I've got a couple of economists say all of it, Bill,
be honest with you, all of it. And so think
about it. We're thirty eight trillion dollars in debt to pay.
I mean we're part of You didn't know you were
part of a reelection campaign? Did you your tax? Pay

(15:34):
your taxes, your harder and tax money is going to
get these guys reelected that have burnt down the house.
But all we see is then with fire hosts thinking
that you know, they're all that in a bag of chips. No,
they're all a bunch of thieves. That's what it is.
You know, they got to call it for what it is.
You know, they've been stealing from us all this time
because that's the way the system is designed. Like I

(15:56):
reminded you. You know, I think one of our first conversations,
I shortly I said, look it. You know, you think
these elected officials they go to Washington, d C. From
you know, small town USA or maybe even big town USA,
and they go they, oh, I'm going to support my constituents.
I'm going to be the best senator. I'm going to
be the best congressman ever. And they go there and
they find out in orientation their first day, they say, hey,

(16:17):
what do you think your number one job is? And
they said, oh, I got to support my constituency. Wrong,
what do you mean wrong? No, your number one job
is to get re elected. In fact, as soon as
we're done here, there's a phone bank over in this
other building, and you're going to go work the phones.
You got to raise money. That's what it's all about.
So your your desires and your agenda as a taxpayer

(16:39):
who just elected this knucklehead that gets subordinated, That is
not the most important thing in their lives. This is
why they continue. I mean, look at it, it's not
that complicated. And really, I mean, forget about the mainstream news.
I mean, you know Donald Trump affectionately refers to them
as fake news. Well, you know, it's biased news. Call
it what you want, but you really can't truys. And

(17:00):
this is why their ratings and their popularity has gone down,
and less and less people, you know, count on them
for the news because they're feeding a narrative. They're really
not helping this country. They're really not. Just like anything,
you know, I always say, you've got to whatever it
is that you consume and you consider here in this country,
does it add or take away from the Constitution? And

(17:21):
you look at all these things, these government programs with
that question does it add or take away from the Constitution?
And you'll probably agree a lot of this stuff does not. It.
It fractures the constitution. It creates a dependent class. We
have a generational dependent class ladies and gentlemen that we're
paying for. And that's not the way it's supposed to go,

(17:44):
you know. And going back to what I said earlier
with the Democrats, the Democrats are good at understanding and
identifying problem. Okay, we used to say in business, good observation,
wrong conclusion. That's the Democratic Party. Good observation, wrong conclusion. Okay,
they can see the problem. The problem is they can't
fix it. They don't know how to fix They don't.
They don't have the mindset. This is where the Republicans

(18:04):
are so good because a lot of them are business people.
We deal with problems all the time. Problem solution, You
get it resolved, and you move on. You don't have
it's unaffordable in a business. Think about it to have
the same problem and keep paying for it. And each
year you got to pay more for the problem because
you didn't really fix it. You just kind of put
it on live support and you found a way to perpetuate.

(18:25):
That's what our government does, okay, but the Republicans are
good at fixing the problem. So and if you wonder
for just a moment, I mean, here it is. Look
at all the trillions of dollars we've paid for welfare.
Is anybody getting out of welfare? I mean, can we
do we have any success stories or we can say, hey,
this person wasn't well. We had all these millions of
people in welfare, and look what happened over the last
five years. They all got out of welfare. They're on

(18:47):
their own. They are realizing their full potential as human beings.
Because that's the bottom line. I mean, this is what
we love about this country is the opportunity, the opportunity
to be the best version of your Okay, and this
is what the Constitution was designed to do. A government
of four by we the people, not kings, not czars,
you know, not political interests, not FBI agents or CIA operatives. No,

(19:12):
the people. But you know, meanwhile, we're coexisting with these
people who are doing everything they can to undermine the
Constitution and to leave us, as my one of my
good friends just say, blind box and begging you know
where we are. We're begging for services that we paid for,
and they're the ones that have mismanaged it and they've

(19:34):
ruined the lives. Dare I say of millions upon millions
of Americans who should be vibrant, excited, you know, taxpayers,
contributors to this great American dream, examples to their families
and their communities and the nation, and that we could

(19:55):
go and be a light under the world, right to
be able to show people and we're kind of that, like,
because we're just so much better than ay and I
don't mean like ninety percent, we're just a little bit
better than most of the other nations, you know, And
that's why sometimes you know, people look at America and
you say, they go, oh, you think you're all that.
You guys are as corrupt as we are. You just
do it a little bit differently, you know what. They're right.

(20:17):
You know, we live in this corruption. But if we're
going to do something about it, it counts. Really, the
responsibility lies on we the people. It's a government of
for by we the people, which means we're responsible. Okay.
And you don't have to be responsible for the government.
You know, that's not your job. Be responsible for yourself.
Take care of yourself. You know, like they say on

(20:38):
the airplane. You know, if something happens, the mask come down,
put the mask on yourself first, and then take care
of your child or your neighbor, whoever sit next, help
them out, But take care of yourself first, all right,
same thing in this country, the way it operates, the
way it can operate most efficiently. Take care of yourself.
Be a responsible agent for good, responsible cities, okay, Because

(21:01):
then if you're a responsible citizen, guess what, you're going
to have a responsible worldview and perspective on your government.
And you're going to stop re electing these knuckleheads that
are stealing from you and stealing from your kids, your
grandkids and your great grandkids. I mean, they're not even
happy stealing with you or even stealing your now. They
want your great grandkids. And if they can get to
the next generation, they will do that as well, you know,

(21:23):
because what's going to stop them. It's going to count
on as you know, as John Adams said, a moral
and religious. I know sometimes when you hear the term
religious and be oh gosh, Bill, don't preach. No, this
really as foundational. I mean, the Constitution was designed for,
you know, people that are not We're not angels. Okay,
if we were angels, everything's going great, we didn't need

(21:45):
the Constitution. We just be fair minded and we just
have a natural flow. But we need the Constitution because
we are falling. I mean, we're nobody's perfect here, Okay,
we make mistakes. So we have the Constitution. We have
law and order to protect ourselves from ourself and for others,
so that we can all as much as possible in
this current condition in which we live in on this

(22:07):
plane on earth, that you know, we can have a
little bit of joy and happiness and success in our lives.
And we want we want that, you know, carried on
to the generations going forward. But how can they do
this when they can't afford it? When you know the
game is fixed? And that's really the situation here. You've
got to see how the game is fixed. It's fixed

(22:28):
against us, it's fixed against our kids, and this is
what we're handing off to them. And of course this
has taken us a while to kind of see this
because the government is so massive and so complex. Now
how do you how do you see it? How do
you recognize it? And you recognize it by first of all,
you got to focus on the legitimate you know what
how I mean, think about it for just a moment.

(22:48):
If you were the one designing a government for America,
you know, you would you would want to set up
guardrails so that it stayed in its lane and it
did what it was intended to do. Well. The guardrails
are there, but political forces have found a way to
kick those guardrails aside so that they can do as

(23:10):
they darn well please at our expense and then some right,
so you know, here we are. You know, everybody's talking
about slavery, you know, and you know it kind of
comes in and out, but talk about slavery. Well, you
know what, it's not just blacks that are as slaved
or we're in slave. We're all part of this. We're
all part of this plantation that has been brought to

(23:30):
you by the political forces. So again, study and understand
what the legitimate is. You've heard me use this analogy
many times. I think it makes sense, and that is
that you know, bank tellers, you know, they teach them
how to identify counterfeit money, not that they study the counterfeit,
they study the legitimate. So when you study the legitimate

(23:51):
and understand what the legitimate is, then when something creeps in,
hey whoa man. It comes out and it's like, you know,
sirens are blasting, you know, red lights flashing, the whole deal.
You go, hey, that's not legitimate. That doesn't help the
constitution doesn't help the people who follow the constitution. Does
that make sense? I hope it does, because you know,

(24:12):
it really is pretty basic. It's not that complex. I mean,
people would like to make you think that it is,
so that you just kind of check out your eyes,
you know, they glaze over you check out and guess what,
it's business as usual, and they got you exactly where
they want you, and we can't have that. So focus
on that which is legitimate, you know, be a student
of the constitution. That's that's the rules to play here

(24:35):
as a citizen of this country. Be a student of
that so that you can identify, don't be I mean,
it's amazing there. It was said good friend Dennis Preger.
He has a test on at Prager. You. It's kind
of a citizenship test, and I think it's representative indicative
of what immigrants. The citizens tests they must pass in

(24:56):
order to raise their right hand and swear leads to
the country, you know, and it's pretty basic. I mean,
but you'd be surprised how many people can't pass the test.
Kids are graduated from school, but yet immigrants, you know,
they're just still learning the language, can pass it, you know,
one hundred percent or you know, a very high high grade.

(25:16):
If not one hundred percent, they pass it. Okay, But
we have students that graduate from our educational systems they
can't pass the test. What does that say? Okay, it's
not complex. He's just saying, look, we're not getting the
right outcome. If we're not getting the right outcome, then
you know the system is dysfunctional. We need to fix
the operating system here. Okay, we have people in government

(25:38):
that cannot pass the test. Elected officials, you're representatives can't
pass the test. Think about that. They don't even know
the Bill of Rights. I mean, you know, it's it's
like this. This is not you know, any false indictment
or conspiracy. I mean, this comes from people in and
around Congress that tell me, they say, Bill, these guys
don't even they don't even know I go. But they're

(26:00):
an attorney. No, it doesn't matter. They just they're just
so distracted by other things. See, they're not studying the
legitimate so that when the illegitimate comes in then they
would notice it right away and vote against it. But
when they're so busy, you know, having to get re elected,
go to the congressional cocktail parts because that's most important.

(26:22):
They got to be networking there and and you got
to make sure you're you're part of the reindeer games
there in DC. So they're not taking the time to
really study the Constitution. And whenever there's work to do,
then who does the work. It's staff that's doing the work.
It's not them, because hey, they're all that they're too busy,

(26:42):
you know, I don't have time, you know, but I
got staff, Get all these staff members that, oh yeah,
by the way, taxpayers band for it, and they're you know,
are representative. We elected, they're not represented. I mean it's
like like, well, let me talk to the staff members.
You know, they're the ones that are dealing with all
this stuff. And of course they're all high powered and
high mind it as well. If you ever try to
talk with a staffort, yeah, boy, talk about an exercise

(27:04):
and feudility something. And that's not everybody. I mean, some
are very very sweet, very gracious and encouraging. But you
got to understand they're in a tough situation. They don't
have really a fair chance to win anyway, because all
they're trying to do is navigate around all the land
mines and understanding, you know, those they build. You don't understand,
I go, will you be surprised? I understand a lot
more than you realize. I mean, I see the system here,

(27:27):
I see that it's fixed, it's rigged, and you're trying
to navigate around these land mines and make your boss
look good. And I get it. It's got to be frustrated.
I don't know how you guys do the job other
than maybe you just love politics and you love being
around you know, the smell of DC and all the
power and everything like that. But I don't know how
that can be ultimately all that all that rewarding. But

(27:49):
you know, this is this is what we're dealing with,
ladies and gentlemen, is that people are not studying the
legitimate and as a result, the illegitimate is creeping in.
Socialism has actually been in this country for a long time.
Let's go back to FDR, that whole movement, you know,
to take care of you know, poor people. Yes, we
were in trouble and we need to help people. But

(28:10):
keep in mind that even before that period of time,
a lot of the churches were churches were taking care
of their own. They were a great outreach, and the
government came in and said, no, we don't want you
doing that, because the government realized that if they could
create a dependent class, that dependent class would be beholden
to the government, you know, the elected officials who got
them their money, who got them their nacho cheese, their

(28:32):
government cheese. They'd be beholden to them. And so it's
like the hotel California. They go in and there's no escape.
They're there, they're stuck. I mean, I don't know how
you can be proud of it to say, you know,
we've been serving generations of impoverished people, to keep them impoverished, impoverished,
to lose their dignity, to steal their joy because you know,

(28:56):
i'd say the number one thing to give you a
sense of joy is for you to have a job,
to be productive, to feel like, hey, I'm providing for myself,
I'm providing for my family. You know, That's that's what
people want foundationally, Okay, And the government has said, oh no, no,
you don't have to work. We'll take care of that
for you. You know, we got government cheese for you. And

(29:18):
so they're out there turning out government cheese to millions
of people to basically, in a sense, you know, indentured
servants that they become indentured reliant on the government. And
you saw what happened when we threw a government shutdown.
How compassionate was the government, particularly the party that has
stood for you know, the poor supposedly, but for all

(29:41):
the wrong reasons. That's why they're so fake, and they
got so exposed is that they they looked at the
government shutdown as a political opportunity, a political ploy. We're
going to leverage this is our leverage here, Like they
it was their right at the expense of people that
were to their snap benefit. You know, they had created

(30:03):
this dependent class and then they walked away. They turned
their back on the dependent class because they needed political
leverage for power and control. Are you kidding me? I mean,
they create this group that depends on them for their
daily bread and they shut it off for the sake
of leverage and control. See, that's communist at its essence,

(30:27):
that they will do everything for their own survival. But
yet when they came in, they told everybody, hey, kumbah yah,
it's all great, it's all going to be taken care
for you. You got free of this, you got free that,
free this for that, until you don't, and then when
you don't, hey, sorry, you're out of luck. I mean,
look at the history of the Communist Party just in
the last hundred years. What the numbers they vary anywhere

(30:49):
from eighty million to one hundred and ten million that
they're responsible for killing. They think about them eighty million
to one hundred and ten million that communists have killed
over the last hundred years. Okay, and this is this
is the other thing to the cracks. I don't know
if you've seen this going around. This is nuts. These
people go, well, you know, Jesus is a socialist, are

(31:12):
you what are you talking about? I don't read anywhere
in the Bible where Jesus killed ten million, one hundred
million people. Wait, what are you talking about? He's a socialist.
I mean I didn't see him coming in and redistributing wealth,
taking it front of the poor, you know, being a
robin hood or I didn't see that happening. You know,
I didn't see Jesus, you know, coerce his followers and say, hey,

(31:38):
you know I got pictures of you, I got this
kind of information on you. You better follow me. If not,
you're going to be now. I mean, his followers naturally
followed him because they believed in who he is. I
mean to the point that eleven of his twelve apostles
were martyred, not to mention how many hundreds of others

(32:02):
who went to their death because of what Jesus represented.
And it continues to this very day. The persecution of
the Christian church. You know, a guy like Charlie Kirk
comes out and he espouses biblical principles, truths, and people
see that. I mean, I was watching Who Was It
over the weekend? Okay to curate, and she made this statement.

(32:23):
She goes, well, you know, he was just so mean,
and I guess that's her worldview, that's her perspective. But
I didn't see any and hear any meanness. You know,
Charlie Kirk, like many of us, believe that there is
a higher calling. You know that God loves us so much.
He's our creator. He gave us, you know, the heavens

(32:45):
and the earth, He gave us this planet in which
to live in. He designed us with all these gift
and talents that we you know, we demonstrate to others
and Charlie Kirk myself others. That's what we want. We
want you to be the vest best version of yourself.
And the best version of yourself isn't what I say.
It's not me, it's not my definition. That's between you

(33:08):
and God. That is. That's what you need to discover
is what are And the thing is is that part
of that best version of yourself usually comes to you,
visits you usually like three o'clock in the morning, in
the wee hours of the morning, you're dead out of sleep,
and all of a sudden, you know, it's like the
heavens open up and God wants to have a discussion
with you and say, you know what, you can be

(33:28):
a lot better than this. It's not that hard. Nobody's
asking you to walk on water, create miracles or like that.
I've already designed you. I've given you. When I was
designing you in your mother's womb, I was giving you
everything you needed to go out and think about it.
This is how much God loves us, is that he
designed us with all this talent and wherewithal to go

(33:49):
out and be successful, be the best version of ourselves.
But see, if you're not studying the legitimate, you're not
going to understand the illegitimate when it creeps in and
you're going to find yourself grasping for all the wrong things.
You know, you're going to want to look for your answers.
And I've been sharing this repeatal. I just that God
has made this so obvious to me, is that we

(34:11):
we look to things of this earth, we look to
individuals for answers to the problems. Well, the answers to
the problems they're not here on earth. You're going to
find them in heaven. That's where that's where the legitimate is.
You got to go to heaven. And I don't mean
you have to die to go to heaven, but you
got to look to the heavens. You know, the Bible says,
where does my help come from? You know I looked
to the hills. Where's my help come? My help comes

(34:32):
from God, Almighty, God, God Almighty. Who the one who
created this popcorn stand? Okay, he kind of knows what
he's doing here. You think with all this stuff that's
set up, you think that you know, some somebody, some
you know, weird scientists all of a sudden, you know,
rubbed a couple of rocks together, and whom here we are,
planet Earth, Solar system. All that come on. Please, I mean,

(34:54):
there's such a magnificent design. I mean, all you have
to do is open your eyes. I mean, you know
for those you know people when they have babies, right
when a baby is born, they look at that child
and they think, what a pick and miracle. I mean,
it's amazing. You know, there's my child. You know five
fingers on one hand, five fingers on the other, five toes,
big toe too, you know, another another set of toes

(35:17):
on the other foot. Eyes, mouth wow. And then this
little humanoid starts growing and developing, and here they are,
and hopefully in that time that we have them, you know,
we train them up in a way that they look
you know, we give them guidance, but ultimately we point them,
you know, to God Almighty, the merciful God who loved them, okay,

(35:41):
who created them so that they can be the best
version of themselves. See. But society, no, you know, you
can't do that. Communist, socialist no, because that's that's the
power exchange, the power exchange, because is all about power,
and you're gonna you either are going to you know,
subordinate and yield and be compliant in a sense. I

(36:03):
know sometimes those are rough words. But be in alignment,
I guess is a better term. Be in alignment with
the power of the planet and the universe. Now'm not
talking about something that's environmental. I'm talking about the one
who is in charge of it all. Okay, not some
wirdo space scientists or some fake science guy out there.
We're talking about the legitimate the real deal, God, God,

(36:27):
Almighty himself, father, son, and Holy Ghost. That's that's the
opportunity for us to yield and align ourselves with that
power structure, not subordinate ourselves to the power structure of
this world, which, oh, by the way, you know, seventy
eighty years is what it lasts. It's all rusting and

(36:47):
rotting away, you know, fortunately or unfortunately, I guess unfortunately
for you in the sense maybe some of this is
making sense, and this is wisdom of you know, seven
plus decades of life and you know, challenging gravity, challenging
all these things that I thought, you know, because you know,
I'm a boomer, I was a baby boomer, and we

(37:07):
challenged everything. We revolted against everything, right because we had
to prove there was something else, and we denied God
and we found out sometimes the hard way, that gravity exists, okay,
And eventually, you know, for some of us, we realized that,
look at we needed to we needed to turn to God.

(37:29):
And I say that to you that you know, whatever
it is you're dealing with. And of course right now
in our country, wow, crazy stuff. You know, men say
their girls, girls say their boys, bathroom confusion, all this stuff.
Really you think that's from God, you know, No, that's
from this earthly plane. That's from down here, It's not
up there. And it didn't make sense. All this stuff

(37:49):
is so so goofy, and you think, well, this is
no brainer. Why don't we having this argument. Well, because
because we have a group of people that, sadly, I
would say they're law and I say that at the
risk of you know, thank god I'm not in England
because this would be perceived as hate speech. And I'm
not being hateful. I'm just you know this, this is

(38:11):
just the right thing to do, you know, the right
the right thinking. We have been, as zig Zigglar used
to say, we're filled with stinking thinking, and sinking thinking
produces those kind of results. Okay, look at the fruit,
the fruit of your life, the tree of your life.
Is it producing you know, those good things, those righteous things,

(38:33):
those healthy things. Is your life producing that? Or are
you drug addled and uh, you know, confused and you
know you've got sexual disorientation, all this kind of stuff
that you know, it doesn't make sense. It defies common sense, right,
And I feel really, trust me, I feel for people
who've gotten caught up in the confusion of it all.

(38:56):
I mean, you can't, you can't help but feel for them,
because but for the grace of God, any one of
us could be in that situation. And I believe that
we have been saved in a way to help be
that that lifeguard, so to speak, for those But even then,
I say, look at all I can do is point
you to who has the answers, because the answer that

(39:16):
you need it's different than my experience. But I can
tell you who has the answers. It's God himself, and
that's who you need to go to. And if somebody
tries to tell you anything different, I mean, yes, you
can have therapists and there's medical people that can help
you out. I get that you know the whole process,
but ultimately the answer that's between you and God, and

(39:37):
I pray I pray you find it and that you
can that there's time for you. I pray that there's
time for you to be able to have that run
with because I can tell you when I had gotten
to that point in my life where I was, I
was in the media business still am obviously, but then
I was in the media business and I had an

(39:58):
advertising marketing company and siding California, and everything was always
kind of you know, it was loose, it was kind
of there was no black and white. Fact, God decided
it was time for me to be around somebody and
met his friend. Dear friend. I love it. I love
him dearly to this day. He and his family has
just been great people. And Danny was a black and
white kind of guy. I mean he is as black
as it can black and white as it could be.

(40:19):
There was nothing in between. I mean it was kind
of a comedy because he and I come together and
I'm like, you know, Dan, you got to look at
the in between areas, you know, the gray areas. No, No, yeah,
I was it. He had determined early in his life.
He came from parents that were missionaries and was a
student previously. He and two other friends and they were

(40:40):
partners in this business and this company in southern California,
and they had graduated from Biola. But Danny was just
he's a character, but such a sweet spirit. But what
I loved about him was that it was black and white.
And he would remind me of that. I mean, no compromise.
I mean I go, hey, you know how about this?
And he is black and white and Finally, one day

(41:03):
God got a hold of me and I realized all
that Danny had been telling me over the years, that
he was right, that it was black and white, that
I had made excuses. I found myself living in the
gray areas of life where it wasn't all that bad,
wasn't all that good, but you know, maybe somewhere in
between kind of thing right, And I remember saying God,

(41:24):
oh please, and I have a couple of years where
maybe you know, I know that you know it's your
grace that has saved me, but I want to do
something for the kingdom where you know, because I've been destructive,
I've been selfish, is my buddy Jeff Kemp would say.
I was a consumer. I was a consumer of this
world and a consumer of people and businesses, and that

(41:46):
kind of day, I was all, you know, very self thinking,
and I was really convicted of that moment. I said God, please,
you know, can I have a couple of years to
where I could maybe you know, contribute, This is the word.
And by God's grace and mercy, he gave me some time,
and so here I am. I passed that on to you,
you know, for what it's worth, because you may say yourself,

(42:06):
you go, oh my gosh, I'm a hot mess. Well
that's okay. God loves hot messes. I mean, it's an
easy thing for him, it really is. I mean, hey,
I was the worst of it. I talked about hot
messes and you know, so you know, I want you
to be encouraged. I want you to be encouraged to
understand the most important takeaway of this time is that
I want you to take away that God loves you.

(42:27):
The God of the universe, the God who created this
popcorn stand all that's in it. He created it for you,
and he loves you, and he's demonstrated that you should
not have any doubt whatsoever. Just give yourself a moment
think about it. Is that who who else, if not God,
would be coming to you to save you, you know,
so that you wouldn't end up in eternal damnation. There's

(42:48):
only one God himself. He is the one that can
forgive us of our sins. And he's there saying, hey,
look at I'm you know, I'm with you, and I'm
I'm not abandoning you. They're with you. I'll never leave you,
I'll never forsake you. See, But you don't understand that,
because unless you have a relationship with God, you don't

(43:09):
understand the depth of his love and his concern for
his creation. I mean, after all, we're his project. He
created us, and we didn't do it right, He did it.
I mean, we're we're a manifestation of his master craftsmanship,
which you know, of course the devil would love to
point out, you know, going, oh yeah, look at what
a great job you did with that guy. What a

(43:29):
hot mess that Martinez guy was. Is you know, oh
my gosh, you know, he just he just loves you know.
But you see, the thing is God is so confident
because that's the way it is, is this satan can
say whatever he wants to He all these other naysayers,
they can say whatever they want to say. But God
knows better, and he just kind of just just smiles

(43:51):
and lets people's negativity and there there are words of
discouragement just fall by the wayside. And that's what we
have to do, too, is just let those words of discouragement,
those things that are targeted at us, all all designed
to make us less than, when we've been created by
a God that's more than, and that's what he wants

(44:12):
for all his creation. So you know, we'd covered a
lot today and I just got a message Michael Finch,
who was supposed to be our guest. Evidently you know,
this bug's running around right so stay on guard, take
care of your immune system because a weird bug. It's
kind of you know people, you know, I go to

(44:33):
church and people are coughing all over the place. You go,
oh my gosh. And but God is good and protects
us all. But you know, people are getting sick, and
you know, and I will share with you, doctor Richard Bartlett.
So one of the things you can do. Number one
thing you can do is mouthwash. Believe or not. Mouthwash
kills ninety nine percent you mean, sees right there. And

(44:54):
let me you know that mouthwash just use it four
times a day kills like ninety nine percent of the bugs.
You know, the viruses out there. And it's a viral
deal that's flying around right now. And so we need
to be on guard, stay stay true to your immune system,
you know, vitamin cy hydration, good sleep, good healthy habits
and everything like that, because it's the season and and

(45:15):
these bugs are flying around. Not to mention the fact
that our crazy government's added again you know they're weaponizing
these bugs, you know, just like they did with COVID.
You know, this is no conspiracy. You know, this is
stuff that I got thrown into YouTube jail, you know previously,
many times. So much so I think they gave me
a key. They gave me a key to the jail.
Sid I go, Okay, I know, but I can't. I

(45:37):
can't help. But I got to speak the truth because
I have to protect you and give you information so
that you're well informed as to what's going on. And
that's I feel my responsibility. But so I'll continue to
speak the truth and and I'm always open, you know,
for any conversation or any question you may have. I'm
not claiming to be the be all and end all,

(45:58):
but I'm just reporting to you the things you know
from responsible doctors who know better. So anyway, yeah, bird flud,
we got to keep an eye on that because that's
the next thing. And they're predicted, they're predicting that that's
the next pandemic. And you know, these government officials they
love pandemics because it makes them a lot of money
and they just love tormenting and having fun with us,

(46:21):
which is a whole another topic. Of discussion, so anyway,
we'll leave it there. Thank you again for sharing a
part of your day with me. I just so appreciate you, know,
your commitment to the show and being a part of
it because it's all, it's all for you. So again,
number one thing. God loves you, always will uh. And

(46:43):
that's something you can take to the bank telling you
so again, thank you for being with us. May God
bless you, May He keep you, May He make his
face shine upon you. May He be gracious unto you
and give you peace. God bless supposed pub
