Speaker 4 (00:15):
Hey, good morning.
Speaker 5 (00:16):
Six minutes after the top of they are Bill Martinez
here with you know, the infamous Bill Fetterer. Of course,
he is the American minutic creator, nationally known speaker, best
selling author, and president of Mayor Search, Inc.
Speaker 4 (00:28):
Hey, mister Bill, Merry Christmas to you.
Speaker 2 (00:30):
Oh Bill. Great to be with you.
Speaker 5 (00:32):
Well, always good to have you here on the show,
and particularly this time of year, the Advent season that
I love so much. You know, you and I had
a chance to spend some time together and talk about
Thanksgiving as the start of this season of giving and
spiritual awakening and tenderness toward Almighty God. Because God is
(00:54):
He's always wanting us to turn to him and his
arms are always wide open and here, especially in this
time and season of Advent, right.
Speaker 6 (01:05):
Well, it's so important to realize the spiritual foundation of this.
I go through it in a book called Believe. But
the understanding is that God is just and he cannot
help it. There are some things that God cannot do.
One is he cannot be unjust. He's just, it's his
(01:28):
very nature, and which means he has to judge every sin,
because if he doesn't judge u sin, by default, his
silence would be giving consent to the sin. And so
if he made free will creatures that could love him,
and we sin against him, he has to judge us.
And so he came up with a plan. He actually
had the plan before he created the first electron. The
(01:49):
plan was his own son would become a man, and
only as a man could God die on a cross
to pay for our sins. Charles Wesley wrote the him
an ma love, how could it be that thou, my God,
shouldst die for me? So God is just, and he
judges every sin, but he's loving that he provided the
lamb to take the judgment for the sin exactly. And
so the lamb is God's way to love you without
(02:13):
having to judge you. It's his way to get around
his own just nature, so we can continue to be
eternally just. But He's love. And then Jesus, out of
love for the Father and love for you and me,
became the lamb, took the wrath of an eternal just
God upon himself in our place, so that we can
approach this eternal just God and not after worry about
(02:34):
being judged. Right, So the Lamb is God's way to
love you without having to judge you. So on Christmas
we celebrate that God sent his son Jesus to earth
to be the Lamb.
Speaker 4 (02:46):
You know, I look at it in a way.
Speaker 5 (02:47):
It was kind of like God's way of doing the
do over, because here was in the garden of Eden.
He had our first parents, Adam and Eve, and you know,
they disobeyed, and the just God that he is rendered consequences.
But God still needed I mean, he designed Adam as
(03:08):
being the first of his creation. But now we had
to redeem what Adam had done. And so it required
the ultimate sacrifice, the perfect lamb, the perfect sacrifice of
his son to redeem us. And so, you know, I
look at it in a way, Bill, I don't know why,
but it just says it's God's due over. You know,
We're going to do over the creation narrative in the
(03:32):
most perfect of ways.
Speaker 2 (03:34):
Right.
Speaker 6 (03:35):
Yeah, that's why the New Testament calls Jesus the second Atom. Yes,
but you know, here's the devil and Satan. He's in
heaven and he sends against God. He wants to throw
God out of heaven. Right, he said, I put my
thrown above the throne of God. And so Satan sinning
against God, and God casts him.
Speaker 4 (03:52):
Out five times.
Speaker 5 (03:54):
Five times he does that bill he arrogantly makes the
statement that he's going to put his throne above God.
That takes a lot of arrogance.
Speaker 2 (04:02):
You know.
Speaker 6 (04:02):
And and there can only be one will in heaven
for there to be peace. And when Satan five times
says I will put my throne above the throne, I
will be like the most. We've got two wills going
on here. And since they're not the same, there's conflict.
Speaker 2 (04:18):
There's war.
Speaker 6 (04:19):
There's war in heaven, and Satan is cast out. So
the devil comes to the garden, goes in and says, hey,
if I get Adam and Eve the sin against God,
God will have to judge him. He gets them the sin.
That was pretty easy. And then he stands back and says, Haha.
Speaker 2 (04:32):
You're a just God.
Speaker 6 (04:32):
You have to judge Adam and He because if you
don't judge their sin by your silence, you'd be giving
consent to the sin. And if you give consent to sin,
you're denying your just nature. You're denying yourself. You're kicked
out of heaven. And God cannot deny himself, so he
sends judgment, and in steps the Lamb to take the hit. Right,
so God made Adam and Eve coats of skins. The
(04:54):
Lamb slain from the foundations of the world. And so
you know, canaan Abe Old Caine does an offshoot of
the Church of the fig Leaf. He starts the Church
of the Fruits and the Nuts, and his is a
religion of works right. And Abele trusted in the Lamb,
and Noah sacrifice Lambs, we got off the arc, and
Abraham sacrifice lambs and Moses had every family in Israel sacrifice.
(05:16):
The Lamb put the blood on the doorposts of their
house and salo and had a thousand of them sacrifice
when we dedicated the temple. Finally, John the Baptist, points
of Jesus and said, behold the Lamb of God. They
get the way they sends the world.
Speaker 2 (05:27):
So but I.
Speaker 6 (05:29):
Put together a book. It's called there really is a
Santa Claus, the history of Saint Nicholas and Christmas holiday traditions,
and so it's just a fun insight into this season.
One of the first things I talk about is I
sort of cleared the table, but I go through the
(05:49):
date of Christmas and people say, oh, well maybe it
was you know, it was the wrong date, maybe it
was in the spring. It's like, well, let's look at
where the traditional date came from, and if you like,
I can go through this real quick.
Speaker 5 (06:02):
Yeah, yeah, let's do that, because that kind of it
amazes me because you know, you and I've talked about
this before, but it's interesting that that controversy still comes up.
Speaker 4 (06:10):
But that's okay.
Speaker 2 (06:12):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (06:12):
So the Bookluke, chapter one says that John the Baptist
dad was in the temple and he was of the
priestly division of a Baija And it's like, okay, what's that.
It's like a little detective story. So we got to
go through this. King David divided the Levi priests into
(06:35):
twenty four groups to minister at the temple, and Baija
was group number eight. But we don't know how these
groups work. They're just listed. But then when the deads
the scrolls were discovered, they found out the Sacerdotal Rota system,
which says that each of those twenty four family groups
(06:56):
will serve twice a year for a week six months apart.
It's like, okay, but when did they begin? And now
we got another clue. Jerusalem was destroyed on August fourth
of seventy eighty on the Jewish calendar, that's the ninth
(07:16):
of Ov. And the Talmud says that the priestly division
that was on duty when the temple was destroyed was
jehoei Arab. Now's another clue. Jehoi Arab was the first
of the twenty four groups, and a Bije's the eighth
of the twenty four groups. And so if we know
(07:38):
that jehoi Arab was on duty that family group for
the first week of August, when August fourth, when the
temple was destroyed, now we can count off eight weeks later.
And eight weeks later is the last week of September,
and so that's when the Abaijah family division would be
(08:00):
ministering at the temple. Now that's a big week. At
the beginning of the week is the day of Atonement.
End of the week is the Feast of Tabernacles, and
so and so here you have the Gospel says that
Zachariah was chosen by Lot. Now another clue. There's twenty
(08:20):
four thousand levites, and to be chosen, only the high
priest goes in the holy holies, but the regular priests
take turns in the Holy Place, and so chosen by
lot means that you know, they draw straws, basically. And
so for Zachariah to be chosen out of twenty four
(08:41):
thousand to be the one ministering every day, lighting the candle,
putting the show bred out in the Holy Place on
this special week, it's it's like a once in a
lifetime opportunity.
Speaker 5 (08:56):
Yeah, without it, without a doubt. I mean, this is
this isn't circumstanchill. I mean again, this is the way
God does things. It's always precise, it's according to order
and according to His plan and purpose.

up right after this. Stay with us.

Speaker 4 (13:46):
Bill Veetder continues with us the American Minute Greater.
Speaker 5 (13:49):
Bill will continue on with the story Zachariah, the father
of John the Baptist. He by lot is chosen to
go into the Holy Holies.
Speaker 6 (13:58):
Go ahead, right, So the last week is September and
the angel appears and says your wife's going to conceive.
So he goes back and she concedes. Now, in the
Gospel of Luke Twice, the Angel appears to Mary and says,
your cousin Elizabeth is in her sixth month. So six
months after the last week of September is the last
week of March. And so now the traditional dating is
(14:24):
that Mary conceived around March twenty fifth, and so nine
months after March twenty fifth is December twenty fifth, and
so that's where we get the time of December twenty fifth.
Speaker 5 (14:36):
Well, and it's interesting Bill that, you know, the way
people again talk about it, that it was something that
you know, in order to offset some pagan rituals and
other things. I mean, man can think about their own
theories and how they're going to orchestrate the calendar.
Speaker 4 (14:53):
But God's still in charge God, right, Yeah.
Speaker 6 (14:57):
And then the people say, well, you know, it would
have been too cold in December for the sheep to
be in the field. The temperature of Bethlehem and Jerusalem
is modern. In the winter, it's like maybe it gets
down to you know, forty degrees on the coldest night.
It's more like Flagstaff, Arizona. And then there's a lot
(15:19):
of sheep farm websites, and they say that lambs are
born around one hundred and forty five days four point
five months after the u falls pregnant, and lambs can lambing,
or the birth of a lamb can start as early
as December. And so this is a lamb farmer's website
saying December you can have. And then what about the
(15:40):
pagan thing, Well, Saturnalia was the Roman festival of Saturn,
and it was on the shortest day of the year,
which is December twenty second, not December twenty fifth. I mean,
if you're going to pick a date to overlap a date,
you'd pick the same date right exactly.
Speaker 2 (15:57):
And so the.
Speaker 6 (16:00):
And then you get into it. The Jews did not
celebrate birthdays. Most of the Middle East and even in
Asia they don't celebrate birthdays. We visited Turkey and my
wife asked this one woman, you know, when her birthday was,
and she had to dig through her cards and found
it and oh, yeah, this is the day. She didn't
even have memorized because they don't celebrate. So the Jews didn't,
(16:22):
but the Gentiles did. And so it was only after
the second third century that you would have this interest
in when was Jesus born. Prior to that, the big
day was, you know, the date of the resurrection. And
so then you have the records of church fathers saying
(16:45):
there's a saint Hippolytis of Rome.
Speaker 2 (16:47):
Two four a d.
Speaker 6 (16:49):
And he talks about Jesus being born on December twenty fifth.
Now why is that significant Because the Romans did not
start celebrating Sol Invictus, the birth of the Sun God,
until two seventy four eighty. So it's actually Christians were
celebrating December twenty fifth before.
Speaker 4 (17:09):
The pagan right exactly.
Speaker 6 (17:11):
And it's almost like Kwanza was this made up holiday
specifically to draw attention away from Christmas from Jesus. The
thought is that the Romans had this growing movement of
Christians that they were trying to stamp out, and the
Christians had December twenty fifth, so they decided to pick
their pagan day to overlap the Christian day. Yeah, right,
(17:35):
So instead of it being oh, Christians followed the Pagans,
it don't It.
Speaker 4 (17:37):
Looks like it's the other way around, right exactly.
Speaker 6 (17:40):
Anyway, I get into that that's a little more academic.
The fun part of my book is I get into
the history of Saint Nicholas, and he was the most
popular Greek Orthodox Saint Saint Nicholas is to Greeks what
Saint Peter is to Roman Catholics, and that's why you
have so many Greek people named Nick or so many
you know Nicholas. And a movement swept through Chrischristianity in
(18:00):
the third century called monasticism or Pietism that said, if
you're really a Christian, you should follow the rich young ruler,
give away all your money to the poor, and then
come and follow me. So Christians would give away their
money and join monasteries. And so Nicholas inherited a lot
of money from his parents and he wants to give
(18:21):
the money away, but he doesn't want.
Speaker 2 (18:22):
To get the credit for it.
Speaker 6 (18:23):
What good would that do. So he would sneak in
the town at night time, in the little town of Patawa,
Asia Minor today that's Turkey, and throw money in the
window a poor people and supposedly it would land in
if she were a stock. And that's driven by the fireplace.
And one story became popular. A merchant in the town
had gone bankrupt and the creditors would not only take
your house and lands, they'd take your children. And this
(18:45):
father had three beautiful daughters. He knew it would be
a terrible life if they got taken, so he comes
up with an idea. He thought, if he could hurry
up and marry the daughters off, the creditors couldn't take them. Unfortunately,
he did not have money for a dowry, which was
needed in that area of the world for a legally
recognized wedding. Nicholas, here's the problem. Late one night throws
money in the window, and the oldest daughter has a dower.
(19:05):
He gets married, and then another night he throws money
and for the second daughter she gets married, and by
the time it's the third daughter's turn, the dad's waiting
up runs outside catches Nicholas. Nicholas makes him promise not
to tell, and that's the origin of the tradition a
secret gift giving on the anniversary of Nicholas's death. The
Greeks have lots of more stories that after he gave
(19:27):
away his money, Nicholas wanted to join a monastery in Zion.
The lord tells him not to hide his light under
Bushel comes back to Myra, a port city in Asia
Minor right all seven churches mentioned in the book a
Revelation were an Asia Minor, and unbeknownst to him, the
bishop had died. The church leaders could not decide who
the next bishop was going to be, and one of
them has a dream. The first person the church the
(19:49):
next day would be named Nicholas, and he was to
be their bishop. Well, Nicholas's habit was to be the
first one in church. They tell him the news and
he's not too thrilled because the Roman An emperor Diocletian
was arresting bishops and killing them. So it's sort of
like you be the bishop, No, dont no, you first exactly,
And he's arrested, put in jail awaiting death. And then
(20:11):
the emperor of the world resigns. It's Diocletian. He's been
persecuting Christians for decades and he's the Christians are praying.
He's struck with an intestinal disease, so painfully abdicates the
throne May first, three.
Speaker 2 (20:24):
Oh five AD.
Speaker 6 (20:26):
The next emperor, or Galerius, continues persecuting Christians. He's struck
with an intestinal disease dies. It's a toss up between
four generals, and it finally comes down to Constantine and
Maxentius and the Battle of the Milvian Bridge outside of Rome,
and the day before the battle, Constantine sees the sign
of Christ in the sky, puts it on all the
shields and symbols and wins. What's the sign of Christ?
(20:48):
The first two Greek letters for the name Christ. Hebrew
it's Messiah, which means the anointed one, and Greek it's
Chris Christus or Christ in Greek. That makes the sound
is written as an X. It's called Kai, and the
letter that makes the erth sound is called row, and
(21:09):
it's written as a big P. So it's an X
and a P, the first two Greek letters for.
Speaker 2 (21:14):
The name Christ.
Speaker 6 (21:15):
And that's what you see on Constantine shields and symbols
in the fourth century. Now, over the years it got
shortened just to the kai the x, and it was
called the Christ's cross or Chriss cross. Chris cross means
Christ's cross, and that's where you get Xmas. Yes, so
Xmus is not crossing out Christ. It's the Greek letter
Kai that stood for Christ. And then it became part
(21:36):
of an oath swear to tell the truth. So well
you got yeah, I cross my heart the christ cross
and then sign on a document is where the true
do you sign it? The christ cross signed it the
X and then they would kish it to show sincerity,
and that's the x's and o's in the bottom of
a Valentine. So so now Constantine legalizes Christianity. Nichols has
let out of jail, and he preaches against paganism. The
(22:00):
seven Wonders of the ancient world is the temple to Diana,
and she had the temple prostitutes, and it's the Las
Vegas of the Mediterranean possible against diana worship x nineteen.
Nicholas preaches against diana worship and they tear her temple down.
And then he preaches against exposure of unwanted infants. That
(22:21):
was the Roman version of abortion. Preaches against the Olympic
Games because they ran them unclad, and don't get into
all that, but the Greeks, you know, all those statues.
And then there's the Arian heresy, and a guy named
Arius says Jesus was less than God, a created being,
and it begins to split the church. And since Constantine
(22:42):
made Christianity the de fact or religion, it's splitting the
Roman Empire. Constantine orders all the church leaders to come
together in one place for the first time ever at Nicea.
And they write, then, I see and creed the excommunicate areas.
And this year is the seventeen hundred year anniversary of
(23:04):
the Consul, and I see A three twenty five eight,
twenty twenty five eight. And so the Pope and the
Greek Orthodox patriarch met to just a short time ago
in Nicea, and they said that nice In creed together.
But the Greeks have the tradition that Nicholas slapped areas
at the Consul and I see you for starting the
(23:26):
Arian heresy. So there's all this ancient artwork of Nicholas
reach you go over and slapping areas.
Speaker 4 (23:31):
Well, Bill Federer, we got to leave it there.
Speaker 5 (23:33):
And of course you can read all about it, as
they say, And there really is a Santa Claus, the
history of Saint Nick and Christmas holiday traditions. Again, Bill,
you and Susie have just given us such a great gift.
I mean, it's just awesome.
Speaker 3 (23:50):
It's fun.
Speaker 6 (23:51):
The Dutch add to it that Jesus will return at
the end of the world of Judge living in the
dead riding a white horse. Saints will come back with
him riding a white horses. Saint Nicholas is a saint,
so he'll be one of those riding white horse. But
he's so special to the Dutch they have him coming
back once here for a little mini judgment day and
he stresses a bishop riding white horse. But over the years,
the saints come from heaven that turns into the North Pole,
(24:14):
and the angels turn into elves, and the Lamb's book
of life turns of the Book of the Naughty and
the Nice, and the horses turn into reindeer. Anyway, but
you go back, there's some biblical stories woven in there.
Speaker 4 (24:24):
Well, that's awesome.
Speaker 5 (24:25):

Speaker 4 (28:52):
Hey, welcome back to America. Bill Martinez here.
Speaker 5 (28:54):
Hey, guess who we got. We've got doctor George Barnet
in the casa. He is in the house, Merry Christmas
time with all the reindeer and everything like that, checking
the list scene who's been naughty and nice?
Speaker 4 (29:03):
But hey, we doing okay, doctor George.
Speaker 15 (29:06):
Things are going well. We're moving up to our Christmas
Great celebration. And you know, one of the things that's
coming out of all the research I've been doing is
I would encourage people to just take a deep breath,
stop for a few moments, and think about who is
this guy that we're celebrating, Because when I look at
all the research, what I kind of have the feeling
of is that we get in a routine, We get
(29:29):
in the rout and we stop to think about the fact,
Wait a minute, I'm supposed to have a relationship with
this guy.
Speaker 2 (29:34):
Who is he? Why did he come here? What did
he do?
Speaker 15 (29:37):
What difference does it really make in my life? And
what should I be doing about it? So there's a
great time of year to reassess.
Speaker 4 (29:45):
And here we are.
Speaker 5 (29:46):
I mean, the church gives us, liturgically a reminder. I mean,
first starts with Thanksgiving. Then we get the four weeks
of Advent, which is all preparation for you know, the
really the Christmas, the true Christmas scene, and that is
beyond December the twenty fifth. You know, many people take it,
you know, through the New Year, you know, through the
(30:07):
Epiphany January the sixth. And I think that's just a
great reminder for us to hit the reset button and
like you said, take a breath, slow down, because last
time I checked, the things that are not of this
world and the higher callings that we really want, that
our very spirits are crying out for are not at
(30:28):
the shopping mall, and they're not in that parking space
that we're trying to you know, beat out a feller,
a fellow consumer out of right.
Speaker 15 (30:38):
Yeah, And you know, I was doing a program the
other day and the host of the show had a
great thing. We were talking about this, and she said, oh, look,
I just checked my watch Jesus is coming back.
Speaker 12 (30:49):
So so imagine that.
Speaker 15 (30:51):
Huh yeah, yeah, so you know, I mean her point
was you better better think about it, better get ready
and what better time than this?
Speaker 2 (30:59):
This is great.
Speaker 5 (31:00):
Well, and when you you know, consider the scriptures in
the Old Testament, you know, the Jews were constantly looking
for the second coming. They had an idea. I mean,
that's what gave them some hope and hanging in there.
I mean you imagine, you know, for a couple of
thousand years plus, you know, this anticipation that God was coming,
and then I kind of find us in a way,
(31:21):
you know, because the cycle of life, it's pretty much
the same in the modern era. Here we are with
expectation that you know, Jesus said he was going to
come the first time, what are the chances are that
He's going to be coming here the second time?
Speaker 2 (31:36):
Yeah.
Speaker 15 (31:36):
And one of the things that I think about too
with regard to America, because I just go back from Israel,
and so there's a big contrast between the two countries
in terms of how they see things, how they deal
with things. And one of the things about Americans is
we always want to be happy.
Speaker 2 (31:52):
We think that we're.
Speaker 15 (31:54):
Owed happiness, and when we come to the Christmas season,
it's a happy season.
Speaker 2 (32:00):
You know.
Speaker 15 (32:00):
We think back to what it was like when we
were a child and we were waiting for Santa or
whatever and.
Speaker 2 (32:06):
All the presents.
Speaker 15 (32:07):
And I guess I'd encourage adults to not so much
be looking for happiness as to be looking for truth,
to be looking for reality, and to transition this season
just like we had to transition Christmas from child to adult.
Thinking of it as no longer a time of getting
presents to giving presents, Well, maybe it shouldn't so much
(32:31):
be a time of Yeah, I want people to make
me happy by what they give me, as I want
to be truthful. I want to be honest. I want
to be real about who I am, about who Christ
really is. It's not about the gifts and the tree
and all that, but it's really about my eternal standing
in his eyes based on my relationship with him. And
(32:54):
this is a good season for me to recalibrate or
as you said, reset everything. And man, we need to
do that all the time because we live in a
culture that wants to throw us off the right track,
and so this is a good time to get back
on the right track well.
Speaker 5 (33:12):
And you know about you and I have had this
conversation since day one, George, when we first met. First
starts out with the truth, right, and but look at
the words that are out there. You know we used
to know about joy. Joy is is really connected to truth,
not happiness, right, right?
Speaker 2 (33:29):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (33:30):
Because joy is everlasting, yes.
Speaker 15 (33:33):
Yeah, right, And happiness fits our culture so well because
the culture is always in a state of flux and
turbulence and chaos. And so it's happiness because it's so situational,
and so it can change in the blink of an eye.
I can go from being happy to sad, to depressed
to happy but joyful.
Speaker 2 (33:53):
It's like, yeah, well wait a minute.
Speaker 15 (33:54):
Once you've really got that connection with the creator of
the universe, and you know why you have that connection,
and you know, I mean no capital letters him, right,
that changes you from from can change you from seeking
happiness to experiencing joy. And once you get that joy,
(34:16):
until you destroy your relationship with him, you're going to
maintain that joy and that should change everything.
Speaker 5 (34:23):
Yeah, it's everlasting and I mean think about it happening.
Speaker 2 (34:26):
I love it.
Speaker 5 (34:27):
A friend of mine used to always say, happiness is
based on a happening, right, So surf stop.
Speaker 4 (34:33):
We're happy.
Speaker 5 (34:34):
You know, it's okay, that's what's happening, whatever it is.
You know, you go to a concert, that's happening. Okay,
so you're happy. But what about those moments, you know,
like right now the season of joy, and when you
you really anchor in like you say, you anchor into
the truth of the season. Man, you you can go
(34:57):
through cement walls and you can handle anything.
Speaker 2 (35:00):
It's true, you know.
Speaker 15 (35:01):
And one of the things that I've been thinking about
lately is worship songs.
Speaker 2 (35:09):
Not that I can sing, and I can't sing. I
can barely talk.
Speaker 4 (35:11):
But you know, you got guitars back there, you can
play them.
Speaker 2 (35:15):
Well that's why I play. I can't sing.
Speaker 15 (35:16):
Yeah, But you know, you think about some of the
best Christmas songs.
Speaker 2 (35:22):
One of them is Joy to the World.
Speaker 15 (35:23):
It's not Happiness to the World because you might have
to stop singing the song in the middle because you
no longer feel happy. You know, that's just changed, you know,
Joy to the World very different. I was thinking about
a song boy years ago. I was visiting a church
and they had a guest singer, and I don't know what.
Speaker 2 (35:42):
The song was.
Speaker 15 (35:43):
And I wasn't really paying attention that closely to what
he was singing until he got to the chorus, and
the chorus was three simple words, and he was very
dramatic about it, rightfully, So I killed him.
Speaker 2 (35:59):
I never thought about that fact.
Speaker 15 (36:01):
You know, I was sitting in that church, and you know,
if you had asked me, how did Jesus die, you know,
I point to the people around me and say, these
people are a bunch of sinners, you know. But then
when he said that I killed him for some reason,
that just really struck home with me. And so that
kind of changed the game for me in a significant way.
(36:23):
And I think about worship songs and this joy to
the world, what a great Conceptlis's focus on that fact
that what we're supposed to be experiencing in celebrating this
Christmas season is the fact that God loved me so
much in spite of the fact that I'm a sinner,
that he sent this child to go through all the
(36:43):
crap that I go through day after day exactly. You know,
I was thinking about Jesus didn't have to come down
as a baby and grow up. I mean, he could
have come down as an adult, done his deal and
left again back to the comfort of heaven for him.
But in God's own wisdom, he put him through the
paces that we go through so that he could understand
(37:06):
and we could relate to him better. I mean, what
an incredible thing. And so it makes this not just
another holiday, not just another birth you know, where there's
a birthday, but something that's really a joy filled experience
for us to celebrate and to really ponder. I think
sometimes we're so busy buying gifts and sending cards and
(37:29):
returning emails to people we haven't heard from in a
year that we lose sight of the fact that wait
a minute, who is this person that we're celebrating.
Speaker 2 (37:39):
Why did he have to come? I killed him?
Speaker 15 (37:42):
You know, you know, I mean all of these kinds
of things that we have to put together, and it
it I think if you do that right, it puts
you in a completely different frame of mind, and one
that's Germaine to this season.
Speaker 5 (37:55):
Yeah, you know, speaking of music, when you were saying that,
it reminded me of Saint Augustine's statement about singing. He says,
that's like praying twice.
Speaker 2 (38:07):
I haven't heard that.
Speaker 5 (38:09):
I love that, you know, And even though you may think, hey,
I you know, maybe I can't sing, although you have
kind of a Rod Stewart kind of you know, kind
of pitch here, but which could be interesting, you know, but.
Speaker 4 (38:23):
You know, I can just only imagine.
Speaker 5 (38:26):
But even still in our own in our own closets,
in our own you know, private rooms of singing and
that sort of thing, there's just something about how that
engages us and.
Speaker 4 (38:38):
Touches the heart.
Speaker 5 (38:38):
Just like you said, even when you're listening to somebody
else and and there's a lyric you know, that comes
across that just you know, it just connects with your spirit, right.
Speaker 2 (38:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 15 (38:48):
And and for me, I'm not real good at this yet.
I'm working on it, but trying to get to the
place where I'm not letting Christmas music become background noise.
Yeah exactly, because again, we get so used to it
and it's like, Okay, it's the season, I got to
put it on it. Yeah, it's back there, it's playing
check it off the box. As opposed to realizing there
(39:08):
are a lot of worshipers who wrote these songs as
their greatest active service, using their gift to conser God,
to respect God, to focus us on Jesus during this season,
and man, what a great thing it is sometimes just
to take, even if I can only squirrel away fifteen
(39:31):
minutes during the course of a business day, to go
down and put the stereo on, close the door behind
me so nobody bothers me, and to have that opportunity
just to listen to the words. You know, the tune's nice,
and I'm usually a tune guy. I don't listen to
words that much. Christmas is a very different kind of
season for me because this is the one time this
(39:53):
and maybe Easter time where I know the words matter,
and so to really ponder the and think about those.
And there are some brilliant creative songs.
Speaker 4 (40:04):
All yeah, yeah, and the exactmes've.
Speaker 2 (40:07):
Got their own favorites.
Speaker 15 (40:08):
Find your own favorites and just put them in heavy
rotation and you know, really really focus on them.

Speaker 4 (44:22):
Hey, we're back with I, Bill Martina said with doctor
George Barnet.
Speaker 5 (44:25):
He's the director of Research at Arizona Christian University's Cultural
Research Center, author of Raising Spiritual Champions. You know, you
talk about you know, stepping away and and focusing fifteen
you know, setting across you know, uh, setting aside fifteen
minutes of time.
Speaker 2 (44:41):
You know.
Speaker 5 (44:41):
I've been doing the Hollow app and one of the
things that comes up recurrently is.
Speaker 4 (44:45):
That, you know, just really focus on God.
Speaker 5 (44:48):
I want you to be intentional and imagine you're in
the presence of the Father's Son and Holy Spirit.
Speaker 4 (44:56):
And I got to tell you, George, I.
Speaker 5 (44:58):
Didn't pay much attention to this four, but It's amazing
when you get intentionally start to do that, how many
distractions come in.
Speaker 4 (45:06):
It drives me nuts. I mean, I'm sitting here going,
you know, God forgive me.
Speaker 1 (45:12):
You know.
Speaker 5 (45:12):
It's like, I'm okay, I'm intentional. I'm hanging in there,
and you talk fifteen minutes. I'm lucky to hold on
to fifteen seconds.
Speaker 2 (45:21):
Yeah. I tend to be a song guy.
Speaker 15 (45:23):
So I'm thinking, like, Okay, if i can get five songs,
then I've kind of reset myself, you know, about three minutes.
So each Okay, that's my fifteen minutes. So yeah, that's
what I'm trying to do. I'm not going for the
fifteen minutes of fame. I'm going for the fifteen minutes
of focus. Right, I can really concentrate on a concept.
And the concept here for me is that Jesus came
(45:47):
for me.
Speaker 2 (45:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 15 (45:47):
I know, he came for you, he came for my kids,
he came for my grandkids. But I need to wrap
my arms around the fact that, you know, I'm a sinner.
I'm not very impressed with myself. Frankly, I don't know
how he could. But for some reason, he created me,
He gifted me. He called me, he loves me, and
so he sent Jesus for me. And if I can
(46:09):
start getting into that frame of mind again, I.
Speaker 2 (46:12):
Mean, it really does change the rest of my life.
Speaker 5 (46:15):
It's transformational, there's no doubt about it. How do you
not be transformed?
Speaker 15 (46:19):
Yeah, And so you know, then I come back up
and I look at all this research that I've been doing.
Speaker 2 (46:24):
It's like, oh, no, you know, but but.
Speaker 15 (46:28):
You know, and even the research I've been doing lately,
you know, the latest stuff has been on sin and salvation,
which is you know, intentional timing. At the end of
the year, I want people to be rethinking this whole
idea of yes, he came, he suffered for you, and
he did it with a purpose, and that's that he
could live with you forever. Because this latest research we're
(46:52):
doing based on salvation and sin is shown that Christians
in America are just so confused about all of this.
We're not really buying the biblical narrative about the fact
that the only pathway to eternity, where you're going to
be in God's presence is through Christ.
Speaker 2 (47:12):
Amen. That's it.
Speaker 5 (47:14):
But you see, the thing is is that we're dealing
with the human condition. You know, you have a choice,
you know, you do the things of this world, you
have your own idea, right and ever since the fall,
you know, it really puts space between us and God.
And Jesus came so that we could have that communion
with him. So when we have that communion with him,
(47:35):
all of a sudden, you know, we're a little bit smarter, George,
you know, and I'm not saying in that in a
worldly sort of way. It's just we are. We have
a better knowing as a result, not that it's perfect,
but you can start to see the difference.
Speaker 2 (47:51):
Right, Yeah. Absolutely.
Speaker 15 (47:54):
I'll tell you though, Bill, one of the things that
troubles me is the confusion that's in the minds and
hearts of so many millions of Christians about repentance. Because
as we did this research, one of the things we
learned is that most Christians quote unquote in America now
think of repentance as a feeling, just like we've converted
(48:17):
truth to a feeling, as opposed to a reality, as
opposed to a reflection of God, who he is, what
he knows, what he wants us to know, and believe,
what we've done is we've made repentance into a feeling
of oh Gosh, I made a mistake. That's too bad,
as opposed to really being heartbroken over sin, knowing that
(48:42):
it breaks God's heart, it shatters our relationship with him,
and that's the very reason why Jesus, whose birth were
now celebrating, had to come back to earth and suffer
because of our sins, because of my sin. And so repentance,
when you study the word, it literally means to turn
(49:03):
around and go in a different direction. And so repentance
isn't merely saying, ay, I'm made a mistake. It's saying, oh, Gosh,
I did something that offends God, that hurts God, that
breaks his heart. And the only ways that I can
deal with that are number one, ask God to forgive
me through Christ, and secondly, to show that I'm so
(49:25):
sincere about not wanting to break his heart that I'm
going to turn around and go in a different direction.
I'm going to change my behavior. I'm going to change
my thinking, I'm going to change my language, whatever it is,
so that I am doing the best that I can,
inviting the Holy Spirit to take over the steering wheel
(49:46):
on this journey where I'm trying to turn around and
go in a different direction. I want the Holy Spirit
to empower me now to speak, to live, to act differently,
so that I can really please, honor and respect this
God who's so awesome, so loving, so compassionate, so merciful
that he sent himself really to come back to earth
(50:09):
and to go through this whole developmental phase from infant
to child to teenage or to young adult to middle
aged adult, and to suffer along the way because of me,
I mean, to go through that whole process. Repentance is
something much more than we've made it to be for us.
It's like it afterthought, Oh yeah, gee, too bad, I
(50:30):
shouldn't have done that.
Speaker 2 (50:31):
What's next?
Speaker 4 (50:32):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (50:32):
But what brings you to repentance? It's kind of like
what brought Nineveh to repentance. Is they they caught it,
they understood, they saw their wickedness, and and they're getting
a word from, you know, from the prophet, the reluctant prophet,
and he comes and says, hey, you guys are in
(50:55):
trouble here, and the Holy God is, who is just
and righteous, is going to you know, render judgment on you.
Speaker 4 (51:03):
Are you ready for that? Well?
Speaker 5 (51:05):
They hurt that, you see, but you say, in our
in our culture because we're moving, you know, with our
hair on fire, running around, especially in this holiday season
and everything.
Speaker 4 (51:13):
Like you said, uh, we don't hit the pause button, but.
Speaker 5 (51:16):
But really we're encouraging everybody, including ourselves, to slow down,
hit that pause button and say, hey, how are you
doing with God?
Speaker 2 (51:25):
Okay?
Speaker 4 (51:26):
What?
Speaker 2 (51:26):
What?
Speaker 5 (51:26):
How is your relationship here? What are we doing? You know,
let's you know, like tuning up the guitar. You got
to tune up the guitar to the right notes, right,
so we got to tune up to God. And as
we tune up to God and realize, hey, we're we're
we're out of sync with God. We're out of tune
with God in these specific areas of our lives. And
then when you really press in and understand how bad
it is and how you know, how awful sounding your
(51:49):
instrument is compared to God's instrument, then you go, whoa,
you know, hey, I got to get I got to
get this thing tuned up here and uh. And as
you do, and you and you consider the whole of God,
then it really causes you to want to repent in
such a way that hey, man, you're looking at the animals,
you're putting sackcloth on the animals and everybody right, including
(52:12):
yourself of course for sure.
Speaker 15 (52:14):
And one of the things that I've observed that I
have date on this, but just looking at my circles
of friends, we invest a lot of time during the
season in relationships with each other and say, oh, it's
a great time for us to take some time together.
Come over, you know, we'll do whatever together for a
little while. And it's a big deal. But the nature
(52:35):
of our relationship with God needs to be central. You know,
what we're doing with Christ during this period of time
instead of just saying, Okay, you know, I'm going to
church on Christmas Eve, you know, check it off.
Speaker 2 (52:47):
Did the relationship thing with Jesus. That's not good enough.
Speaker 15 (52:51):
That's not all he wants, that's not all he deserves,
that's not all we deserve. We have better than that
he wants us to have, better than.
Speaker 2 (52:59):
That he wants us to have him.
Speaker 15 (53:02):
And so you know, making that time investing, investing in
this season. Don't invest in Mattel and has Bro, invest
in Jesus.
Speaker 5 (53:11):
Yeah, amen, and understand that. You know, it's one devotional
ized reading this past week. It says, uh, you know,
approach God like beggars. And I thought it was interesting.
It really caught me. I go, oh, like a beggar. Yeah,
but understand this, keep begging said, you know, don't you
know you don't have to just say okay, well you
know I got this from the banquet table. That's enough,
Jesus saying no, no, keep going, keep going. There's plenty.
(53:34):
And and you know, to your point here is we
sell ourselves short because we're we're quick to want to
check a.
Speaker 4 (53:39):
Box and say, well, been there, done that.
Speaker 5 (53:42):
And you know, the relationship with God is intended to
be ongoing, and he longs for this communion. I mean this,
this is really what breaks the Father's heart more than
anything else, is that communion with him with his creation.
Speaker 4 (53:56):
The creation that he said, wow, this is really good.
Speaker 2 (54:00):
Right Yeah.
Speaker 15 (54:01):
And toward that end, I know we're probably running out
of time here, but I do want to get in
here that the research is also showing us that when
we think about our relationship with Christ, almost half of
the Christians in this country think it's Jesus. Plus that
Jesus on the cross wasn't enough, that there are other
(54:24):
ways to salvation. It might be our works. It might
be some other God, it might be some other theological construct,
it might be a relationship quote unquote with the universe,
whatever it is. And I want to encourage anybody who's listening,
just take a few moments this Christmas season to really
(54:45):
dig deep and examine what are you basing your thoughts
about your eternity on. Is it Jesus plus or is
it Jesus alone. If it's Jesus alone, great, Just then
spend the rest of your time celebrating Him this Christmas se.
Speaker 5 (55:00):
And the works will take care of themselves, James says, right,
they will follow naturally because you're a transformed agent. You
think different, you do different, You are different, You do
what you believe.
Speaker 15 (55:13):
So if you start believing right, and part of your
belief system is it's only Christ, there's nothing besides Him
that's going to save me, then that's going to start
to change your behavior right there. And that gets momentum going,
and before you know it, you're actually a follower of Christ.
Speaker 4 (55:29):
Yeah, and you're actually enjoying the peace of Christ.
Speaker 2 (55:33):
Yeah yeah, right.
Speaker 4 (55:35):
The piece that's.
Speaker 5 (55:36):
Immeasurable that we can't even imagine with our human peni thinking,
you know, and like we said, the banquet table that
God has set out for us is immeasurable, it's unending,
and we want everybody to partake, especially in this Christmas season,
Right George, I'm.
Speaker 4 (55:54):
Gonna let you wrap it up.
Speaker 2 (55:55):
Go ahead.
Speaker 15 (55:56):
Yeah, Hey, you know what a great time of year.
We're still in a free country. Thank God for that.
And we have the opportunity to devote as much time,
energy and resources as we want to honoring God, thanking
Him for christ coming down. Experience joy this season. Me
really work at that, and it's a life changer, it's
(56:18):
game changer. Go for it, Enjoy it.
Speaker 2 (56:21):
Amen.
Speaker 5 (56:22):
He's the director of research at Arizona Christian University's Cultural
Research Center, author of Raising Spiritual Champions.
Speaker 4 (56:27):

Speaker 4 (57:51):
Guest what an incredible story that has.
Speaker 5 (57:54):
Been documented in their brand new, Book I've been To,
Heaven the true story of a husband supernatural near death
experience of the, afterlife his wife's prayer that brought him,
back And god's message of hope for the. World steve
And Kathy, boyles welcome to.
Speaker 4 (58:09):
Show good to have you with.
Speaker 12 (58:10):
Us thank you so much for inviting.
Speaker 5 (58:12):
Us, well great to have Your. KATHY i want to
make sure everybod understand she's a. Doctor she's AN, md
a real, doctor, right not one that plays a doctor
in any kind of television.
Speaker 4 (58:22):
Series she's actually a.
Speaker 5 (58:23):
Doctor And, steve you're accomplished, yourself right is go ahead
and tell ME i had it down here a.
Speaker 12 (58:31):
Lot i'm about a software. Engineer i've been writing software
for about thirty five.
Speaker 5 (58:35):
Years, yeah that explains why we had problems, connecting, right.
Speaker 2 (58:40):
Wasn't my?
Speaker 5 (58:40):
Fault inside, joke ladies and, gentlemen we're having a little
bit of an opportunity here trying to get all connected
and to hear one, another and so it only makes
sense That steve would be a software engineer and so but,
anyway eventually we figured it. Out it's LIKE i used
to say WHEN i was broadcasting in, School, steve whenever
(59:02):
there was a troubleshooting, situation we always said that the
bailout answer was there's ant in the. Court so it
seemed to work in the, classroom but it's not gonna
work anywhere.
Speaker 12 (59:13):
Else but, well for, software we always blamed the.
Speaker 5 (59:16):
Hardware, well of, course, yeah you've got to have an, antagonist,
Right that's. Right it's what makes the, world it's what
makes a real go. Around, well look AT i am
so honored to have you both here to tell your. Story,
steve why don't you started out and tell us you
know what, happened how it all.
Speaker 12 (59:35):
Began, well it all kind of started off kind of
not a, hope you, know not a big. Deal it
was towards the end Of november of twenty twenty. ONE
i wasn't feeling well and it just kind of kept
getting worse and. Worse it turned out that my, wife,
daughter and myself all ended up GETTING. Covid we all
(59:57):
have in different. WAYS i had a really hard i'm,
breathing And kathy had a really bad, headache throbbing, headache
and she had a hard time taking care of. Me
so kind of decided what might be a good idea
to just take me to the emergency. Room see IF
i could get some seapap mask in an oxygen for
a couple of days And i'd probably be all. Right
well that started out, okay and THEN i got into
(01:00:19):
the emergency. Room they wouldn't Let kathy come in for
twenty days to even get near, me and after being
there for about four or five, days they basically ALL
i got to drink for food was Little, insures which
aren't really very. Good sorry for Any insure, stockholders but
it's not a good, problem and you. Know and then
(01:00:40):
then they DECIDED i needed to be put on a.
Ventilator AND i was gett kind of desperate to go,
home to be honest with, you BECAUSE i kept, Thinking
i'm starting to feel. Better why CAN'T i just go?
Home and they, decided, way you could go home after
we put you on a ventilator for you, know seven
to eight, days and then you'll be real good and
you can go. Home SO i took the bay and, said,
Okay i'll do.
Speaker 5 (01:01:01):
That Was kathy involved in this conversation and in this, decision.
Speaker 12 (01:01:06):
No because she wasn't allowed to be, there and ALL
i could do was try to text, her AND i
just kind of felt at the time THAT i was.
Okay BUT i know she would have probably said, no, no,
no no, no BUT i didn't have. THAT i didn't
have her with me to really emphasize how no that was.
Right so, ANYWAY i, said, okay they put me on
(01:01:30):
the on the, ventilator AND i was in a medically
induced coma for about three, weeks a little over three,
weeks three and a half, weeks something like.
Speaker 4 (01:01:38):
That oh my, god that's that's a Great.
Speaker 5 (01:01:41):
Kathy you, know we talked about it in the show
early on DURING covid as it was coming, out and
it was just heartbreaking to think of the families that
could not see their loved ones as they were going through.
THIS i, mean this is just absolutely horrific and NOTHING
i DON'T i don't know we ever experienced anything like
this in the history Of america that you, know this
kind of quarantine and this kind of reaction and all
(01:02:03):
that was going. On what was going through your mind
is this was happening to your husband is going? On
you're just praying and you, know trying to make sense
of something that doesn't make.
Speaker 20 (01:02:12):
Sense, well you know.
Speaker 21 (01:02:14):
That a twenty day rule was really an arbitrary decision
that a committee in the hospital made that would not
allow me to go and see my husband for that
period of. Time even though as a PHYSICIAN i could
go and see any PATIENT i wanted, TO i could
not go into the ice you and see my. Husband
and so we did go through a lot of almost
(01:02:35):
ridiculous things like. That BUT i knew THAT i did
need to abide by their roles so that there would
be no bad consequences to my, husband son or your.
Speaker 4 (01:02:47):
License you.
Speaker 20 (01:02:48):
Know as a, POSITION i obeyed all their.
Speaker 21 (01:02:52):
Rules my, recourse of, course was to go To, god
and that was SOMETHING i knew how to.
Speaker 20 (01:02:58):
Do Thank god.
Speaker 21 (01:03:00):
Is the power of The word Of, god and so
that's WHERE i went to get my.
Speaker 4 (01:03:05):
Help, well it's kind of amazing because.
Speaker 5 (01:03:10):
The, instance in the POSITION i was, IN i was
doing doing a deep dive ON covid and trying to figure,
out you, know what was going, on particularly with the
ventilator When i'd heard that you were on a, ventilator And,
kathy you might verify this as the doctors have told
me that only a third of the people who go
on a ventilator actually come off, it and so here
you are odds against, you you, know to survive being,
(01:03:35):
ventilated especially DURING, covid with, everything because it seemed like
we were we were incentivizing all the wrong.
Speaker 4 (01:03:41):
Things IF i can say.
Speaker 21 (01:03:43):
That that's, correct it's really DURING, covid less than a
third that survived being on a. Ventilator most of them
died Most it was just an awful. Time and so you,
know from my perspective of my profession failed. Me AND
(01:04:03):
i really knew THAT i could go To god and
he would be the one that would help me in this.
Speaker 20 (01:04:10):
Situation and he.
Speaker 5 (01:04:11):
Did let me ask you, THIS i mean POST covid
here now as a, doctor you say your profession failed
you did we learn from? It is the profession reconciled
to where they will not fail you?
Speaker 20 (01:04:25):
AGAIN i don't think, so not.
Speaker 21 (01:04:31):
Yet, YES i hope for the, future BUT i think
we have a lot to learn. Still, Yes and you,
know doctors are Not, god and doctors.
Speaker 20 (01:04:42):
Are not to be just.
Speaker 21 (01:04:46):
Obeyed as though you would just, obey you, know commanding
officer if you were in the.
Speaker 20 (01:04:51):
Military you, know.
Speaker 21 (01:04:53):
We have to take everything and critically think about, it
every piece of advice as well as pray about. It and,
hey is this the right thing to? Do it is an,
Opinion so we all have. Opinions doctors have an opinion
(01:05:15):
based on information they've, learned but they don't always know everything, obviously.
Speaker 5 (01:05:22):
So you have to especially especially WITH, covid because so
so much was kept from.
Speaker 4 (01:05:27):
Them, kathy, right, right, right, Right.
Speaker 21 (01:05:30):
And then you, know a lot of the physicians were
just in fear of losing jobs or licenses and things
of that, nature because many of them did who kind
of stood up and had a different. Message and so
when you have a family to support and you have
a lot of things going on in your, life you
(01:05:51):
really don't want to make waves because it could go
really poorly for.
Speaker 2 (01:05:55):
You.
Speaker 5 (01:05:56):
Yeah, So, steve you're in this induced coma for three,
weeks and so something supernatural happens to.
Speaker 12 (01:06:04):
You, yeah WELL i was on THE i was in
the coma for three, weeks BUT i was on the
ventilator for forty five. DAYS i just get that out.
There oh, Wow, Okay so, anyway So i'm in this
coma and, uh you know your spirit man never. Sleeps
your body can go to, sleep your mind can take a,
rest but you know your spirit man never never. Sleeps
(01:06:24):
it's away twenty four to. Seven So i'm in this
coma and this angel appears to me AND i received
with my spirit, man and you'll tell.
Speaker 5 (01:06:34):
You i'll tell you what we gotta go to quick,
Break let's pick it, up or leave everybody as a.
Cliffhanger as they, Say we're gonna let him hang on
the cliff here for a second as we take a quick,
break and we'll be right back With steve And Kathy.

an encounter with an.
Speaker 4 (01:12:09):
ANGEL i have.
Speaker 12 (01:12:11):
An angel that comes to me and he's The, Hello,
steve my name Is. Marzuka you spelled THAT M. A.
R Z, uka AND i take you to heaven for
a little while while your body.
Speaker 4 (01:12:22):
Heals he even spelled his name out for.
Speaker 12 (01:12:23):
You he even spilled his name out for.
Speaker 4 (01:12:26):
ME i love THESE i love these angels and no.
Spelling that's.
Speaker 5 (01:12:28):
Great, yeah give you Give you said a, comfort doesn't, It?
Speaker 4 (01:12:32):
Kathy, well you KNOW i.
Speaker 20 (01:12:34):
Knew when he first told. ME i, thought, well that's really.
Speaker 21 (01:12:36):
Weird and THEN i, realized, well you know, What steve
is not really good at, spelling and so this has
to be real because he wouldn't have spells of the
out like.
Speaker 4 (01:12:44):
That, yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:12:46):
Exactly so did you ever find out What marzuka, meant
by the, way just?
Speaker 12 (01:12:49):
Sidebar, well ACTUALLY i. Did, yes means it means the
blessed By god or one Who god provides.
Speaker 4 (01:12:56):
For, okay very. Good, Okay so he, says come with.
Speaker 12 (01:12:59):
Me he, said come with. Me i'm taking you to
heaven for a little while while your body. Heels SO
i FIGURE i have nothing else to, do so, sure
let's go to. Heaven so pretty much within you, know
pretty quick we were in. HEAVEN i saw a lot of.
Stuff you, know your spiritualized have a much broader view
a spectrum of light that they can see than your natural.
(01:13:20):
Lives and SO i saw some amazing sights going through
the atmosphere up to.
Speaker 5 (01:13:25):
Heaven did you travel first? Class did the angel at
least take your first? Class he was right next to,
me so, yeah probably, yeah.
Speaker 12 (01:13:33):
Right so, ANYWAY i get To heaven really, quick and
it's an amazing. PLACE i was just absorbing everything THAT i.
Encountered and so you, know the. Grass we landed on
this grass which was like amazingly fluffy and, soft and
you would step on it in the spring right back.
Up you weren't going to be able.
Speaker 2 (01:13:54):
To stomp it.
Speaker 12 (01:13:54):
Down why you, would but it was very. Soft and
if you ever slept in, heaven there's sleeping, really but
if you did, sleep you could sleep on the grass
and it would be better than probably your softest mattress
here on. Earth but it was just an amazing. Sight
there was so many different, colors and the atmosphere was
just so Much there was so much, peace there was,
(01:14:16):
Security there was just. LOVE i, mean you could just
since you were loved just standing, there you. Know so
we went in AND i had to put things in
human terms so people can kind of understand What i'm,
saying is a little to a place that all described
as a welcome, center and the guy behind this really
ornate wooden type desk very nicely, carved, said, Hello, Steve
(01:14:41):
welcome To. Heaven marzuka is going to be your guide
while you're, here and he's going to show you the
things that you need to.
Speaker 2 (01:14:47):
See and.
Speaker 12 (01:14:49):
So on the wall of this building were scenes THAT
i eventually ended up going, to kind of like you
go to a travel center and you would see the
coliseum or The Eiffel. Tower sometimes these were scenes In
heaven THAT i would eventually. VISIT i didn't realize that
at the time WHEN i saw, them BUT i started
going to these, SITES i, realized, oh that was on the.
(01:15:09):
Wall that was one of those scenes on the wall.
Exactly so one of the first places we went to
was a big meadow that had a beautiful meadow with
the same type of, grass had huge patches of these multicolored.
Flowers and WHEN i say, MULTICOLORED i mean the leaves
themselves were multi. Colored they had like, woven swirling colors
(01:15:31):
mixed in with each.
Speaker 5 (01:15:32):
Other AND i gotta imagine very, dynamic, Right, oh the
colors like you've never seen.
Speaker 12 (01:15:38):
Before oh, yeah because you see. It you're seeing a
broader spectrum of colors there in heaven with your spiritual.
Eye and then the aroma from the fragrance from the
flowers was amazing, again that same, fluffy beautiful, grass huge
trees that WERE i later found out were like mustard.
(01:15:59):
Trees you know your faith grows from a seed of
the size of the brain of. Mustard, well those trees
there's seeds grow into huge, trees and there was birds
flying in and out of the. Trees one of the
first THINGS i saw was all the dogs that we
had had had had died when they were. Old we
took good care of, it but they just get, old you.
(01:16:20):
Know and SO i saw they were in a. Group
there were like eight of, them and they were all
running towards.
Speaker 5 (01:16:25):
Me they like all your all your, dogs all the,
dogs all the wow never had when we were, married
and even one of my dogs that we THAT i had.
Speaker 12 (01:16:35):
Previously but they were all in amazing. Shape they all looked,
fluffy pretty, Hair they were all. Friendly one of the
dogs we had, had one, eye had walked with a.
Lamp he kind of wandered into our. Garage one really
hot summer day and just kind of plopped down in
our garage and stayed. There, yeah we just kind of kept.
(01:16:55):
Him he didn't have a chip or a tag or
anything like, that so he looked. Beautifully he had two,
eyes a beautiful, coat didn't have any scars or, limps
ran red and the other. Dogs everybody was in perfect.
SHAPE i saw. RELATIVES i saw my niece who looked,
beautiful my brother WHO i hadn't seen in thirty. Years
(01:17:19):
everybody looked like they were in like their mid, twenties
maybe thirty at the max. Age everybody that was. Healthy
everybody looked. Wonderful everyone just. Was it was great to see.
EVERYBODY i mean WHEN i hugged, them it was a solid.
Hug it wasn't no whispy. Thing it was, like you,
know hugging your wife or hugging you're you, know a good, friend.
Speaker 4 (01:17:40):
As if you were still in this earthly, dimension right.
Speaker 12 (01:17:42):
Exactly, yeah except it was more real than. EARTH i
know that's hard to understand and, explain but it's more. Real.
Speaker 5 (01:17:50):
Yeah, Well kathy is As steve has been telling you
this and as a, physician AND i know that it's been,
tough particularly whenever we talk about nd near death experiences
as they've been defined. As particularly in the medical, field
it's a challenge for some doctors to get their brains
around something as mystical and supernatural as a near death.
Speaker 4 (01:18:12):
Experience, right that's, Right.
Speaker 21 (01:18:15):
And that's because if the physician really doesn't believe that
there's anything more than what we have in this, life
then they really have no framework to put stories like
that into.
Speaker 20 (01:18:27):
Context but for someone who believes.
Speaker 21 (01:18:31):
In, god and especially if they Know, jesus they are
going to have a totally different, mindset a totally different
frame of mind and be open To, wow there is
life beyond this. Life after we, die we do have
a place to. Go so it really depends on the
(01:18:51):
person in their.
Speaker 5 (01:18:52):
Mindset right As steve was relating this to, you were
there particular things that stood out that you had to
realize that this was? Supernatural Because steve was conveying experiences
and things.
Speaker 4 (01:19:05):
That the only way he could know him was because
he was in.
Speaker 5 (01:19:09):
Heaven that maybe that both of you were not aware
of here on.
Speaker 21 (01:19:13):
Earth, OH i certainly wasn't aware of what he was going.
Through it was the horribleness.
Speaker 20 (01:19:20):
That we were going through in THE icu so he remembered.
Speaker 21 (01:19:27):
His journey to heaven really when he was in the
hospital three and a half, months and so he was
in three different, hospitals so he was in THE icu
and intermediate care facility and then a rehab. Hospital so
it wasn't until shortly before he came home from the
rehab hospital that he started having all of these memories
(01:19:50):
just flood back into. Him and so he didn't initially
share it with me because you want me to think
he was, crazy.
Speaker 4 (01:20:00):
So more than, normal, Right, Steve, Right.
Speaker 21 (01:20:05):
So you, KNOW i, MEAN i do have a scientific,
mind and SO, i you, know know how to judge.
Things and THEN i know my, husband and you, know
it's interesting because before all of, this he was never
interested in near death. Experiences when my mom died in twenty,
EIGHTEEN i read all kind of books about heaven and
(01:20:26):
near death experiences and all of this. Stuff there are
physicians who've written books about, it AND i just absorbed
all of. It and every TIME i read, ONE i
handed to him and he, goes, nap don't want tory
That i'm not interested in, that you, Know so every single,
time never did he read anybody else's, Story and so
(01:20:47):
it was really amazing to me that he, Said, HEY
i had something happened to me WHEN i was on
that villa later in a, coma and then he started
telling me about the angel and about all of these
things that he saw in, heaven and it was really.
Speaker 20 (01:21:03):
Amazing we have so much detail in the. Book The
lord allowed him to see so many things.
Speaker 5 (01:21:10):
Exactly, well do you have? Time can you stay with
me a little bit? LONGER i want to get in
more detail of.
Speaker 4 (01:21:16):
This this is just so.
Speaker 5 (01:21:18):
PRECIOUS i, mean you, Know kathy just referenced the Book
I've been To. Heaven this is the true story of
a husband's supernatural near death experience of the, afterlife his
wife's prayer that brought him back In god's message.
Speaker 4 (01:21:32):
Of hope for the.

Thanks for staying with with a Story I've been To.
Speaker 5 (01:25:33):
Heaven it's the story Of steve And Kathy boyle's as
she's a, doctor he's AN it.
Speaker 4 (01:25:38):
Professional and this book is.
Speaker 5 (01:25:40):
Incredible it's a true story of a husband's supernatural near death. Experience, Steve,
SO i, mean here you, are and you're in this
coma and you're in. Heaven the angel is taking you to.
Heaven you're starting to see things and you EVEN i,
mean you're, dogs you, know past, Dogs AND i mean
(01:26:02):
you say that really touches me BECAUSE i, mean who
doesn't love? Dogs and everybody, wonders, hey of all, dogs
HAVEN'T i think even the good and the bad.
Speaker 4 (01:26:11):
ONES i think they all go to. HEAVEN i THINK
i don't, know it's just my.
Speaker 5 (01:26:14):
Heart that's just, Yeah, god you know WHAT i, mean
because there's a reason even when they're. Bad there's a reason.
Why you, Know god's trying to teach us something even
through their. Badness but, anyway that, aside but you mentioned
you were reunited with loved, ones including your son who was.
Speaker 4 (01:26:32):
Miscarried what was?
Speaker 2 (01:26:34):
That what was that?
Speaker 12 (01:26:34):
Like, oh that was pretty. Amazing it was a little bit,
shocking to be honest with, you because it was it
was SOMETHING i hadn't thought about in since it, happened
which had, been you, know twenty years or so. Previously
and So, marzuka Who i've actually found out is my guardian,
angel and he with me SINCE i was. Conceived. Huh
(01:26:57):
we were walking across this field and this little boy
walks up to me and he, says he, Goes, hi
my name Is. DANIEL i think you're my. Dad i'm, like,
Whoa So I'M.
Speaker 4 (01:27:10):
I kind of now how how old was? He you?
Speaker 12 (01:27:13):
Know he looked like he was like five or.
Speaker 4 (01:27:15):
Six oh five or Six, okay it looked like.
Speaker 12 (01:27:17):
He was five or Six, okay but he was pretty
sharp for a five or six year, old because he
doesn't have all the corruption that you get here On,
EARTH i.
Speaker 4 (01:27:26):
Guess but and of course you said you take after
your mother's.
Speaker 12 (01:27:29):
Son, yeah WELL i could tell he had a mix
Of by looking at, HIM i could tell he had
features from both of, Us, yes but the good looking
features probably came from.
Speaker 4 (01:27:41):
Her BUT i was talking about his. Mind, yeah well.
Speaker 12 (01:27:45):
Yeah probably not.
Speaker 2 (01:27:45):
Too.
Speaker 12 (01:27:46):
Yeah so, anyway he, said, YEAH i, said, well you,
know we were going to have a little. BABY i,
said my wife thought it was going to be a little,
boy and she was going to name Him. Daniel and he,
Says i've been here SINCE i was really, little and he,
GOES i was raised in a place with a bunch
of other little, babies and he said. THAT i, WELL
(01:28:08):
i said, that, well you, know your mom would really
love to see you because and she's really, pretty and he, goes,
YEAH i Know i've seen. Her oh, Wow SO i
know that was pretty. Amazing WHEN i Told kathy about,
that she was really excited to know, that you, know
he's there and all those anyone who's lost a, baby
(01:28:29):
those babies are there waiting for. You so you just
need to make sure you Know jesus and go to
heaven and be with.
Speaker 5 (01:28:35):
Them, yeah you, know you think about, It you, Know,
kathy how tough it is in of, course this is
a personal issue when you, miscarry and then to realize, that,
yes in, FACT i was just speaking with a dear
friend and she had five. Miscarriages AND i don't know
WHY i said. THIS i just maybe The Holy spirit
had had prompted me to do, so AND i had
(01:28:59):
the sense of assuring THAT i was supposed to tell
her that those babies are waiting for you in heaven
and and and the comfort that it gave, her and she,
goes do you think? So AND i, SAID, i you,
KNOW i really, do AND i think it's it's more
THAN i. THINK i just have this this, sense this
confirmation That god is giving me right now that that's the.
Case AND i know What steve and you are sharing
(01:29:21):
right now is important because how many, miscarriages you, know
do we have every year that women you, know deal
with and they and they carry, this this is with
them forever because it's in their nature to, nurture, Right.
Speaker 21 (01:29:34):
Yes, absolutely AND i would encourage those women to actually
name their. Child you, KNOW i was only four or
five weeks, pregnant SO i didn't know for sure if
it was a boy or a, girl BUT i just
prayed and asked The, lord AND i just felt like
it was a. Boy So daniel was my Favorite bible,
character SO i named Him. Daniel and When steve told me,
(01:29:57):
THAT i was just, shocked and for a long, Time
i'd make him tell me this story over and, Over,
kenn AND i would do right because you, know AND
i also want to, add you, know even if a
woman has lost a baby through, Abortion god's grace brings,
forgiveness and so those babies are still waiting for you
(01:30:18):
in heaven if the baby was, aborted and that child
will find you and you have an incredible, reunion.
Speaker 5 (01:30:25):
You, imagine because you know WHAT i hear, often you,
know from women particularly and now an increasing number of
men's dove who when they realize the reality of what,
abortion what abortion, did and, that you, know because the
doctors have misrepresented and, said, oh, well it's just like you,
(01:30:46):
know if it's an abortive, patient, uh you know pill
that they, take, well it's just like taking tailand. All
and you, know they just really negate the humanity of
what is growing inside of them And god's workmanship that
is being demonstrated within their. Body and women will, Say,
(01:31:10):
bill you, know my child would have been eight years old,
today or they would have been. SIXTEEN i REMEMBER i
was In Los angeles AND i was interviewing a producer.
Speaker 4 (01:31:19):
Of an abortion.
Speaker 5 (01:31:20):
Movie AND i was looking at my notes AND i
wasn't really paying attention to his, face but we were
talking about. Abortion was the movie was about, abortion and
we were talking about, it AND i relate to him
about what women say to me anecdotally about their children
and how their heart continues to ache for that, child
and you, know AND i looked up and tears were
rolling down his, face and he, Said, bill my son
(01:31:42):
would have been. Eighteen and you know that is such
a personal and profound. Connection and Only, god Only, god Our,
god would do, this.
Speaker 4 (01:31:57):
Would reunite us.
Speaker 5 (01:32:00):
With with our, children regardless of the, mistake regardless of the.
Condition as you, Say, kathy so, appropriately we can be
so grateful For god's.
Speaker 4 (01:32:10):
Grace, Right, yes that's. Right, Yeah, Well, steve you saw
a baseball game in?
Speaker 2 (01:32:17):
Heaven? Huh was? It was?
Speaker 4 (01:32:19):
It The angels and The? DODGERS i, mean, what? What
what teams?
Speaker 12 (01:32:21):
Were you, KNOW i know it's REALLY i know it's
kind of crazy, sounding but it was just it. Was
it was a baseball game in. Heaven in, fact WHEN
i first met my, BROTHER i asked him what he
did and he, says, OH i go to Apostle Paul's bible.
STUDIES i go to baseball. Game SO i say baseball,
games and he, goes, yeah there's baseball in. Heaven well
(01:32:43):
so we.
Speaker 4 (01:32:44):
No, way no.
Speaker 5 (01:32:45):
Way when you fast forward on, me we're talking about
you mentioned you saw your brother in heaven.
Speaker 4 (01:32:49):
Too, YEAH i saw your death. Experience, okay all.
Speaker 5 (01:32:51):
Right because we're talking about the sun and now you
shift to the BROTHER i just want to make SURE
i don't want to leave them behind.
Speaker 2 (01:32:56):
Here.
Speaker 12 (01:32:56):
Okay SO i tried to set up the baseball game because,
okay so so, anyway So marzukas, SAYS i got a
treat for. You so we started going to this huge
stadium THAT i saw, well AND i got to, say
there's probably other sports in, heaven BECAUSE i think all
good ideas come From, god and SO i think baseball
was one of. Them so we got to go to
a baseball. Game the bases were made of, gold the
(01:33:21):
the you, know the nobody got hurt in, heaven so
the umpires and the uh catchers didn't have to wear
protective clothing or anything like. That and the. Pitchers the
physics is a little different in heaven because the pitchers
get throw like a quarkscrew. Pitch That, okay that was
good and it was very hard to. HIT i don't
(01:33:42):
know the, RULES i, mean BECAUSE i would think they'd
throw that like every, pitch but you, know maybe there's
a rule on how many times they can throw it
in an inning or something like.
Speaker 5 (01:33:50):
That but, yeah because if you break the, rules then,
man you're you're going you're going below that, said you're
out of.
Speaker 4 (01:33:56):
Here you're you're not even thrown out of the. Game
you put down way down below the. Dugout, okay you.
Speaker 12 (01:34:02):
Get translated to a place probably you don't want to,
be but, Anyway, no it's an amazing. Game it was. Fun.
Everybody everybody cheered for each. OTHER i, mean both teams
played for each other because they know it's just a
game and having. Fun and it was so. Enjoyable there
was thousands and thousands and thousands of people in this
(01:34:23):
stadium watching this, game and you know.
Speaker 4 (01:34:28):
With peanuts and cracker jacks and hot.
Speaker 12 (01:34:29):
Dogs WELL i didn't eat, anything AND i don't know
what they were particularly eating BECAUSE i didn't recognize, it
But i'm sure it was. Good and then there was
an amazing kind of like a light show. Afterwards it's
kind of like similar to, fireworks except with you, Know
god's got ways that he can create lights and all
(01:34:51):
kinds of stuff in, heaven so it was just really. Incredible,
well and like you, say everything is so, magnified all
the colors and everything like. That could you Imagine god
putting on a fireworks? Show who, oh you, know even
the best Ones i've seen here On earth don't even
come close to comparing to.
Speaker 4 (01:35:08):
That not even that's.
Speaker 5 (01:35:10):
Great another quick, break if you can hang in there
with us for twelve more, minutes is that?

so you can read the, book because we're not there's no,
way even in this extended period of time can we
get to. It all the book Is i've been to
having a true story of a husband's supernatural near death
experience of the, afterlife his wife's prayer that brought him,
back And god's message of hope for the. World so
(01:40:18):
you're a baseball, game everybody's having, fun interesting supernatural, pitches
nobody's throwing the imp out of the. Game everybody's, happy
and they're enjoying the purity of, baseball, right.
Speaker 12 (01:40:32):
Yes, Exactly, Yeah and it was just it was an
amazing experience because ALSO i got to sit there with
my brother and my, Son So, daniel my, son and my,
brother we were all sitting right next to each other
in this. Game we were getting we were talking about the,
game and it was just it was so it was
so real and so fun and just you, KNOW i
(01:40:54):
can't wait to see another.
Speaker 5 (01:40:55):
Game WELL i, bet, yeah yeah.
Speaker 12 (01:41:01):
DON'T i don't have to see one.
Speaker 5 (01:41:02):
Tomorrow but, right, yeah, yeah this near death experience is,
enough you know for a little. Bit but Although i'm
sure when you go through something like, that, uh you,
know there's this DESIRE i got to. IMAGINE i, mean you,
know here you, Are you're you're meeting up with your,
son you're seeing your brother. Again, uh let's talk about more.
EXPERIENCES i, mean you, Actually, steve you See.
Speaker 4 (01:41:25):
JESUS i.
Speaker 12 (01:41:26):
DID i got to See. Jesus. Uh one of the
last Places marzuka took me in our my tour Of
heaven OR i got to go to The Throne room
and it was it was that was obviously like the
most amazing experience of going To heaven because The Throne
room was just. Amazing it was it is, beautiful it's it's,
(01:41:49):
elaborate it's you, know it's something that you could just
Imagine god would would have. Created it's there's like gold
inside the The Throne. Room there's a huge rainbow. Behind
let me kind of start over. Again there's a big
there's this kind of a platform that there are two,
thrones And jesus is on one And god is The,
(01:42:12):
father is on the other. One And god was. Light
it was just a bright. Light And psalms ONE o
four says That god closes himself in, light and so
people can look that. Up so, anyway SO i saw
this light and it was and it didn't hurt my
eyes to look at. Him but when he, spoke he it,
thundered it, thundered BUT i could understand what he was.
(01:42:35):
Saying and he, said welcome To, Heaven, Steve and then we.
Speaker 5 (01:42:39):
Walked did you did you have a fearful response at that,
point because most people who have come in contact With,
god you, know we read in The Old, testament whether
It's isaiah or other, prophets when they come in contact With,
god it's just so awesome that it's a it.
Speaker 4 (01:42:53):
Creates a sense of.
Speaker 5 (01:42:54):
Fear BUT i guess you're in, heaven so there's no
fear there in, heaven, Right.
Speaker 12 (01:42:57):
No in, fact it was just the. Opposite i've felt
so much love and protection and just just. Acceptance in,
FACT i can tell you a little story at the
very end but you, KNOW i just felt it was.
AMAZING i there's like no other place you'd want to, be, actually,
right just because the presence of The lord, There it
just wraps around.
Speaker 5 (01:43:19):
You but, yeah and a, SECOND i want to want
to Ask kathy this and get her insight on. This,
kathy you, know and we reference some scripture. Here god
welcomes us into The Throne room because Of jesus' sacrifice for. Us,
Right So steve's telling you, this and this is just
right reconfirming everything you've been reading and studying most of your.
Speaker 21 (01:43:38):
Life, right that's exactly, right you. Know and we don't
have to worry about not being worthy if we Know.
Jesus he is the one that made the way for
us to go to heaven and to be part Of god's,
family and heaven is an amazing place and we will
get to see him if we Know.
Speaker 20 (01:43:57):
Jesus.
Speaker 5 (01:43:58):
Amen, Amen and he, says as you, Said, steve we're
welcomed into That Throne room to find grace and mercy
in that time of need because of the sacrifice of
Our lord And.
Speaker 4 (01:44:08):
Savior.
Speaker 12 (01:44:09):
Right, well let me just mention this real, quick because
WHEN i walked in With, marzuka he melt, down he
bowed his, head and he pushed me forward with his
hand on my. Back SO i went forward AND i
had my encounter With, jesus which was. Amazing and then
WHEN i, LEFT i Asked, MARZUKA i, said why did
you leave or why did you kneel? Down and why
did you push me? Forward he, said he, said The
(01:44:29):
lord is my, master AND i serve, him SO i
bow to. Him he, said but you are his. Family
you are covered by his, blood and you are. Accepted
so you can go boldly into The oh, wow and
you can walk across him and you don't have to,
gravel and you don't have to crawl to him because
he loves you and you are his.
Speaker 4 (01:44:45):
Family is that, Incredible?
Speaker 5 (01:44:48):
KATHY i mean put that in, perspective, right that's.
Speaker 21 (01:44:52):
Amazing when he was experiencing in the throne, ROOM i
was experiencing in prayer BECAUSE i was going daily to
the throne in prayer and putting my petitions before The
lord and believing What god had promised us in his.
Speaker 20 (01:45:07):
Words so, yes it was.
Speaker 5 (01:45:09):
Amazing, well all, right so now it's, time you, know
for you to leave the throne, room And marzuka ushers you,
out where's your next?
Speaker 12 (01:45:20):
Stop, Well marzuk we left the throne room In marzuka
was telling, me he said, like, WELL i need to
get you back to your body because you're going to
be waking up really soon And kathy's going to be
sitting there waiting for.
Speaker 15 (01:45:32):
You.
Speaker 12 (01:45:32):
Oh kind Of the next THING i remember IS i
wake up And kathy's sitting there waiting for, me and
kind of kind of WISHING i was probably back In
heaven at that point in.
Speaker 2 (01:45:43):
Time but.
Speaker 12 (01:45:45):
At that point in TIME i really hadn't remembered anything.
Yet but ALL i do IS i woke up and
really realized what bad SHAPE i was in Because i'm
still in this hospital and Now i'm on a. VENTILATOR
i can't. TALK i couldn't talk for like two, months
which drives you crazy because you just. Anything you can't
(01:46:05):
communicate with, anybody. RIGHT i felt terrible, Anyway so.
Speaker 4 (01:46:10):
Well Well i'll tell you. WHAT i kind of sped
up a little. Bit BUT i wanted to.
Speaker 5 (01:46:16):
Also focus on and forgive me for skipping this because
this is actually key and that is the message That
jesus gave you before you.
Speaker 12 (01:46:24):
Left, yes, yes SO i had seen a few things in,
heaven And jesus asked me IF i saw, him and
he told, me, YES i saw, him but he, said he,
Said i'm basically he put his hands on my shoulders
and he, SAYS i have work for you to, do
And i'm going to tell you what it is at
the right. Time and so that's one of the REASONS
(01:46:45):
i came back is Because jesus had more work for
me to. Do AND i really believe a lot of
that has to do now with just being able to
share my, experience because you, know there's the world is
in such crazy shape right. Now so many things are
happening almost on a daily. Basis you can't keep up with.
It and we really need to focus on our eternal
destiny in our eternal home as opposed to keeping our
(01:47:07):
eyes and worrying about everything that's going on On. Earth
we can't control the stuff on, earth but we can
sure control our destiny and go Into heaven and keeping
our eart On, Jesus.
Speaker 4 (01:47:17):
Yeah because all this stuff on earth is, vaporing, Right,
Kathy that's.
Speaker 12 (01:47:21):
Right you.
Speaker 21 (01:47:21):
KNOW i think part of our message is just that
when you face a crisis situation like we faced In
steve's being in THE icu for such a long time
with a very very slim chance of. SURVIVAL i think
people need to know That god is. There he still answers,
prayer he still does, miracles Because steve is a, walking
(01:47:43):
talking miracle. Now so it is amazing what his power can.
Do and you, know that's one of the things that
we've got as a message in the. Book at the
end of the book is an appendix with all of
the healing scriptures THAT i spoke Over Steve evele he
was in that hospital.
Speaker 4 (01:48:01):
Room, yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:48:02):
Exactly, well And jesus gave you a mission to be
a messenger of. Hope and just as other prophets Before
jesus came the first, time they were very hopeful and
they received messages From god to you, know to present
to people to carry that hope forward and and and
(01:48:25):
here you are as a messenger of, hope not For
jesus' first, coming but for a second.
Speaker 4 (01:48:30):
Coming he's coming and, soon, right.
Speaker 12 (01:48:33):
Yes, amen that's what You very, soon, actually he said very.
Soon so, yeah you can just figure that out by
looking at the world today in the shape and. Sin,
well he did give us the signs that we could look,
for and you look at. IT i have said ever
Since israel became a nation, again it's as if you,
(01:48:53):
know the hour hand On god's prophetic clock was, set
and what's passing now or minutes and seconds and each
minute that passes, by as you, Say, steve is that another,
occurrence another indication Of jesus's second. COMING i love What
Billy graham said when he was asked if we were
(01:49:13):
living in the last.
Speaker 4 (01:49:14):
Days he, goes, oh, yeah these are the last of
the last. Days.
Speaker 12 (01:49:19):
YEAH i would almost say we're living in the last.
Speaker 5 (01:49:21):
Hours, yeah, yeah we're getting down to it right. Yeah so,
yeah because, again AS i mentioned early, on When i'm
in studying The book Of bacup right, now you, know
the prophet is frustrated because, Saying, god how long you?
Know and here we, are as you, said the, craziness
the chaos that's happening in our, country and these problems
(01:49:41):
are not going to be solved by. Governments they're not
going to be solved by any one political. Personality it
has to Be god himself that's got to come in and,
bring you, know bring the solution to the madness that
we find ourselves.
Speaker 4 (01:49:58):
In and Those, kathy as.
Speaker 5 (01:50:00):
You, han indicated those that are away From god are
feeling and experiencing the madness more profoundly as opposed to
those whose hope is anchored In.
Speaker 2 (01:50:08):
God.
Speaker 21 (01:50:09):
Right, YES i don't know how anyone can can really
survive today without knowing The. LORD i, mean just to
think that this is, It this is just this. Life
and you, know we face so many bad, Situations we
have so many challenges and then occasionally a horrible. Crisis
(01:50:29):
and SO i really want to encourage people to Seek
god and Know him and Know jesus because he has
an incredibly great life for you here on this earth
and then amazing.
Speaker 5 (01:50:42):
Eternity, Well, steve as we wrap things, Up i'm gonna
give you almost the final word. Here what do you
want to leave our audience?
Speaker 12 (01:50:51):
With, well you, know one of the times in the
HOSPITAL i almost. DIED i actually. DIE i almost died
about five or six, times the Most the biggest one,
was you, KNOW i was Almost they had taken me
Off Fit. MAIL i had been on fitmil for a
long time and they got it Off Cold, turkey AND
i really felt LIKE i was, dying and you, KNOW
(01:51:15):
i was like near, death and the, uh this black
cloud was coming over me AND i AND i thought to, myself,
WOW i COULD i could. Die AND i heard an
audible voice that, said keep your eye on, me AND
i knew that was the voice of The lord telling
me to take my mind off my problems and put
my my thoughts on. Him SO i, did AND i
started praising him and worshiping him in my in my
(01:51:38):
brain BECAUSE i couldn't do anything. Else and, uh you,
know so that's that's almost my motto, now is just
to keep your eye On jesus because he's the only
one that's going to get you out of your. Troubles
the world one of these days is going to try
to put their faith in a man who claims he
can solve all their, problems and that's going to be
the worst decision they ever. Make so it's it's better
(01:51:59):
to just go With. Jesus just commit yourself To.
Speaker 4 (01:52:03):
Jesus AND i love.
Speaker 5 (01:52:04):
That keep your eyes on, him, Right, Kathy, yes, Absolutely
Stephen Kathy Boyle's, kathy as we've been, saying is a.
Speaker 4 (01:52:12):
Doctor steve is AN it. Professional.
Speaker 5 (01:52:15):
Uh they co authored the story with our good Friend Troy.
Anderson I've been To. Heaven The true story of a
husband's supernatural and their death experience of the. Afterlife his
wife's prayer that is appendix at the end of the. Book,
uh you, know prayers of healing and then it's just
very very. POWERFUL i love what you did, There, kathy
and including that it's her prayers that brought him back
(01:52:38):
In god's message of hope for the. World Stephen, cathy
thank you so. Much, god bless, you thank, you thank
you so.
Speaker 12 (01:52:44):
