I'm looking at my new phone. I think I already
cracked a screen in the half of street. Protectiwn there,
what the flip? Dog? What the flip? What's going on?
But what do you when did you get it? Right? Like?
Speaker 2 (02:40):
Two days ago, two weeks ago, two weeks ago?
Speaker 1 (02:43):
I think I chipped it. Yeah, yeah, you can see
it right in the corner there.
Speaker 2 (02:48):
It's right in the corner there, bottom corner.
Speaker 1 (02:51):
Over on the side. Good. If you can't see it,
then yes, ship, Oh yeah, I think I did son
of them this. Yeah, then look at you all shaved.
I know what's going on, buddy, How what happened?
Speaker 2 (03:05):
I uh, I had since I've seen you, I've had
quite the week.
Speaker 1 (03:10):
Yeah, well you got a year older. You took another
trip around the sun?
Speaker 2 (03:13):
Well yeah I did.
Speaker 1 (03:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (03:15):
Saturday, I did a wedding, okay, and Mill Creek for
a very nice couple, uh Larry Larry uh Maraton is
his Albanian name, but people call Larry and Katie beautiful couple.
Mill Creek. At the top of the hill, buddy, I'll
tell you something, and I don't share this information with
much of anybody, but as I'm waiting for everybody coming up,
(03:37):
I'm on top of their hill, and I mean you
can see the Bristol. I mean, you can see for miles.
It was so beautiful. I said a little prayer.
Speaker 1 (03:44):
Nice Doug.
Speaker 2 (03:45):
It was God's country man telling you, uh huh, it
was just so beautiful. So wedding went well, everybody danced.
It was hotter than it was really hot. And then yes,
Sunday was my birthday. Fifty five double Nichols, damn baby
slept in a little bit. I met another bride and groom,
went through their all their songs. I had DJ'ed her
(04:05):
sister's wedding in January.
Speaker 1 (04:09):
Yeah, yeah, it does.
Speaker 2 (04:11):
And you know what is spreading is also bad word
about DJs. What do you mean. I've met the past
year more than seven brides, but three of them told
me that they had met with other DJs and they're like, well,
you get you can pick ten songs. I'll take care
of everything else. And I'm like, that's that's crazy. The
(04:31):
money you're paying them, they're just gonna they've got a
set list. They just turned the commuter on and let
it go. Whether you like it or not paying.
Speaker 1 (04:38):
I don't want to listen to you tell me what
lay mass shit you want to.
Speaker 2 (04:42):
I don't care. It's your wedding. You have whatever you want.
They're like, I can't believe. Some are really like, I
can't believe you're gonna write You're taking care of all
these songs for us. I'm like, well, that's what you want.
It's your day, whatever you want. So they left. I
was going to try to get around in golf, and
that did not happen. Then I went over, my folks.
You've met my folks right.
Speaker 1 (05:02):
Oh God, not only have I met your folks, I
mean you're in there. Will hang on a second. I
don't have a dad anymore. I may ask if David
would adopt me.
Speaker 2 (05:14):
You know what, if he's listening to this right now,
he will be calling you. Of course I will listen.
Speaker 1 (05:20):
The only thing ever, why I'm a fatherless child. You know,
I'm a fatherless child. Now.
Speaker 2 (05:27):
I hope he gives you all the wisdom that he
has given me over fifty five years.
Speaker 1 (05:31):
Yeah, well, I think you just didn't pay attention. I
think he has lots of wisdom. I think I think
that there is uh, you know, a little bit of resentment.
Speaker 2 (05:39):
I don't know. I don't think he's like Solomon.
Speaker 1 (05:43):
Yes, I think so. I think you would be very wise,
you know, not the baby in half. Well, we don't
want to do.
Speaker 2 (05:49):
That, No, right, Peter, butter and a or sandwich and
a half. Here he's got three Elvis suits. I'm pretty sure.
I'm I'm only getting two now, and he's going to
give you the other one. That's awesome.
Speaker 1 (06:00):
Yeah, that canna be laid out in one.
Speaker 2 (06:03):
Well, he'll have one, and then you and I will
wear the other two and we'll share the ulgy. Here's
a David. I came along with doug It Fresh, and man,
he made me the best Manhattan I ever had.
Speaker 1 (06:16):
Much right, the Southern Comfort Manhattan, the recipe daz with.
Speaker 2 (06:19):
Him so and Sunday Night. Yeah, Dougie Fresh is now
officially a pet owner.
Speaker 1 (06:30):
A pet owner.
Speaker 2 (06:31):
Yeah, I got a cat?
Speaker 3 (06:33):
What?
Speaker 2 (06:34):
Yeah, what's wrong with cats?
Speaker 3 (06:37):
I am?
Speaker 1 (06:37):
What's wrong with cats? Everything?
Speaker 2 (06:39):
Okay, Well, look it's very I already knew this cat. Okay.
It was at a person's house and they were moved,
their roommate was moving out. I'm curious and I would
be over there and playing cards.
Speaker 1 (06:49):
Whatever.
Speaker 2 (06:50):
They let the cats out. They just jump up, just
rub it up against you, just a very level cat. Well,
somebody took them and if your dog sitting. I said
that it's a cat for days. You can leave a
cat for days.
Speaker 1 (07:05):
Oh yeah you can't. Oh so you leave the cat there.
I'm saying, what if you took a dog.
Speaker 2 (07:09):
No, I'm not taking a dog now. Too many smells
in the house. Yeah, and if dog smells another dog,
which my mother had three of the house, yeah, there
would be accidents. So don't want that. So my agreement
with dog sitting is I will stay at your house. Okay,
so see the cat, Yeah, go watch the dog. Go
back to what make it? Rosie of mine? And it's
(07:32):
an old cat, it's like twelve years old. So she
couldn't handle it with all her other pets and she's
kind of a little nutty.
Speaker 1 (07:38):
So how many other pets does this?
Speaker 2 (07:41):
She had? I think three dogs, two other cats. It
wasn't getting along. Can you take the cat? Otherwise they
could take a lollipop like.
Speaker 4 (07:47):
You know what?
Speaker 2 (07:48):
Just there was a couple other arrangements. Yeah, yeah, so
I said, yeah, just take it to the vet, get
it checked. She took it to the vet. Now, this
cat had never been to the vat. She's taken it twice.
Now she wants me to put dry in it for
fleas in case I bring fleas in from outside. And
I'm just looking at this woman going get it, get out,
just drive, give me the cat. I'm a fifty five
(08:09):
year old man. I know how to take care of animals.
Just you're really hitting the stereotype here. Yeah, fifty five,
I can't drive fifty five fifty five. You don't think
I listened to that a couple of times on a Sunday.
Speaker 1 (08:21):
Fifty five year old man lives by myself.
Speaker 2 (08:24):
Yeah, cat run my cat, crazy old cat man. Yeah,
so funny.
Speaker 1 (08:30):
Oh my god, that hit. It's like a stereo. I
don't know what that is.
Speaker 2 (08:35):
You know for sure the next few months you're have
to be knocking on my door. Got any dirty martiniz?
Can I come visit you and your cat? I need
a night out. My kids driving me crazy. Everybody's up
my ass. Can I come in here?
Speaker 1 (08:52):
I'm allergic to cats? You are?
Speaker 2 (08:54):
Yeah? Yeah, seriously, Yeah.
Speaker 1 (08:56):
Nothing bad.
Speaker 2 (08:57):
I just like sneeze.
Speaker 1 (08:58):
My eyes get all running and.
Speaker 2 (09:00):
Stuff, and I can't go way after dirty Martini, the
same way after any pussy. You know, this is old pussy,
some years old. I don't want a kitten, old pussy
is the best pussy absolutely broken in like a firm.
It's like a it's like a baseball mint you kept
under your mattress for a while.
Speaker 1 (09:15):
With a ball of it. It's all broken in and oil.
Ready to go. Baby catch this? He congratulations, that's kind
of nice, right, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (09:26):
And then yesterday I golfed in the breast.
Speaker 1 (09:28):
Hang on, what is the cat's name? Does it kind
of a name?
Speaker 2 (09:35):
Hold? Lot of Rosie? Baby, shut up, Rosie.
Speaker 1 (09:38):
The cat's name is Rosie? Is that the name you
gave me? All the name it had?
Speaker 2 (09:42):
Name? Ahead? Okay, all right, that was one of the
reasons I'll take Rosie.
Speaker 1 (09:46):
Whole lot of Rosie.
Speaker 2 (09:47):
Got a whole lot of woman, got a.
Speaker 1 (09:49):
Whole lot of ros Then the yeah you got you
were all ripped up last night. Yeah, man, I'll meet
you anywhere. I want to keep on drinking. What are
you doing?
Speaker 2 (09:59):
I don't remember the conversation.
Speaker 1 (10:00):
I go, I'm working, you're not working. Yeah, I know.
It's a weird thing. I know.
Speaker 2 (10:07):
I don'tbody know what time somebody.
Speaker 1 (10:09):
Called me today or somebody text me to think, goes,
I never know what you're doing.
Speaker 2 (10:13):
And I go, well, I'm why would you I'm.
Speaker 1 (10:16):
Always working in some capacity. But that's okay. I like it.
Speaker 2 (10:21):
We uh. They had the Breast Cancer Coalition had their
golf tournament at Midvale yesterday and our tea time was
two ten. Okay. We went at lunch, bought raffle tickets,
had a few drinks, and oh my god, was it hot.
We finished to let me ask you this, but hold on,
this is a big thing. I think I told you
last night friend of mine Diane brought Have you ever
(10:42):
heard of pickle vodka?
Speaker 1 (10:43):
No? I have not.
Speaker 2 (10:45):
Do you like pickles?
Speaker 1 (10:46):
I do? Why was it you who told me I
don't do shots? And then I did shots of pickle
vodka and I kept asking for more pickle vodka. Yeah, okay,
that was you.
Speaker 2 (10:55):
I do do shots.
Speaker 1 (10:56):
Yeah, but you said I wasn't gonna I was gonna
do it didn't sound pickle.
Speaker 2 (11:01):
Yeah, And I'm like everybody else is doing one, and
so you know, everybody peer pressure. Yeah, so I taste this.
I'm like it had just enough.
Speaker 1 (11:09):
You know what everybody else was drinking Jim Jones kool aid?
Wow you drinks? And how did the heat affect you
with that?
Speaker 2 (11:18):
Well? You talked to me last night and I don't
remember talking you last night, so that's kind of how
it affected me.
Speaker 1 (11:22):
Like, okay, because you didn't sound all that bad, but
you sound a little like you're a little hyped up,
talking a little faster, and I could tell that you were.
Speaker 2 (11:32):
Because I was talking to you.
Speaker 1 (11:35):
I could keep on drinking all lighte.
Speaker 2 (11:42):
So now I got to get a bottle of pickle
vodka and it was delicious.
Speaker 1 (11:45):
Do they sell it or is this something somebody made?
Speaker 2 (11:48):
No, she sells it. She's a little flask.
Speaker 1 (11:52):
Of it, That's what I'm saying, Like it's not a
homemade thing. No, I've never seen this.
Speaker 2 (11:56):
For Then she made kind of a pistachio, uh, pineapple,
not a yellow shot, but it was in that shockglass. Yeah,
and amazing these are creative.
Speaker 1 (12:10):
Yeah my god.
Speaker 2 (12:11):
Right. Yeah, so I had a few shots.
Speaker 1 (12:14):
Then the heat, the heat like fuck you up, like
you know, because already you're dehydrated. Now you're dehydrating yourself
faster with alcohol of course, and then the next thing,
you know, I mean, you're just like your face down
in somebody's eighteenth hole or on their back nine duggy,
you're right in that mud whistle.
Speaker 2 (12:33):
Yeah. Uh so I ended up winning a cooler bag
and some golf balls and stuff inside, so.
Speaker 1 (12:45):
You remember that. Yeah, okay, did you continue to drink
after the tournament?
Speaker 2 (12:50):
Yes? I got ride home.
Speaker 1 (12:52):
And what did you drink at home? Sir?
Speaker 2 (12:53):
I'm just well, we stopped at noon In's other the
way three shots later. I'm like, I gotta go. Yeah,
and then they had a couple of genue lights at home.
I think I called you, do you text me what
can you do now?
Speaker 1 (13:06):
Texted you are you available to do poda only because
I'm just I'm trying to get my footing again. Yeah,
you know what I mean. And it sounds so silly,
but it's one of these things where you're trying to.
Speaker 2 (13:23):
Well.
Speaker 1 (13:25):
I got a fifteen year old son living with me
who made decided he was going to make onion rings,
homemade onion rings. So he does right, very creative, and
then he tried to clean up. But then something happened
where I don't know if it was flour, if it
was baking soda because he was trying to clean the
stovetop or something. I have no idea. It was just everywhere.
(13:47):
It was on the cabinets, below the handles, the floor
down inside the oven, everything, the sinks of it. Took
me an hour to get the kitchen back to what
I call ground zero today, and so everything just seems
to be like, you know, it's like one one step forward,
two steps back. So I'm trying to, yeah, get caught
(14:08):
up on those things. So that's why I was even
working last night.
Speaker 2 (14:10):
Well, you were a partying. I was my home party.
I had a couple of drinks that listened to music
as they usually do, and they call it.
Speaker 1 (14:17):
One of the cats.
Speaker 2 (14:18):
You couldn't find a cat can is somewhere in the house,
and I alsa got it out and just scared. I'm
sure this surrounding Sunday night.
Speaker 1 (14:29):
Did you look up anything about reholming a cat. I
don't know anything about that, but.
Speaker 2 (14:33):
Just got to be people are suggesting this and suggesting
that I'm like, the cat's fine, I've hit it for
twenty four hours, let's give it a little break.
Speaker 1 (14:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (14:43):
So I found it was in the closet where I
had some chairs. Yeah, I have a cat coming out
of the closet. Go figure. And uh, it didn't seem
like it ate food, maybe a little water. But then
the litter box told me that she'd actually come downstairs
where I set up the litter box in the basement.
So that's good, But it seemed like she she was
(15:06):
holding in a dumb for seven days. Because I cleaned
it today. I've had her for twenty four hours. It
seemed like it was three weeks. Works of shit in thereuntain.
It's a mountain lion exactly. Yeah, So I took care
of that this morning, and then I went to Hammond's
Port to see a friend by name of Paul Blyer.
He has a place up there through Geneva out that
(15:26):
way past candag went Manchester, very nice, beautiful as well
Cuca Lake. Not right on the lake, but I mean
a mile from him. Yeah, and he donates. He's a
sponsor for my breast cancer fundraiser. And then we went
to a couple of wineries that he's a member of
and they were nice enough members of the winery. Yeah, for tastings.
(15:46):
We had to pay for him. So if something new
comes in, he knows everybody, Like, hey, Paul, we got
a case of this, case of this. You want to
you want to try this? Yeah, and there's two right
on the street. I mean you could have walked if
it wasn't ninety two degrees and got they were nice
enough against six piles of wine. They oh, all right,
look at that.
Speaker 1 (16:03):
It's coming up, right.
Speaker 2 (16:04):
It's coming up. For those of you who don't know,
I do a dual fundraiser. Golf will be August twenty fifth,
and then bowling is October eighteenth, and if you like
to bowl or get to a team of six, just
come out have fun. Find me on Facebook under Doug Phelps.
And if you'd like to donate or be a sponsor
for me, find me on Doug Phelps or send something
(16:26):
into here. Caar Bill Moran at one one zero, Doug, Doug,
Phil Moran, Kara, Doug Phelps, one ten packets, Landing Fairport
one five zero and all the proceeds go to father.
Call my father. You know what he wants to do tomorrow.
He wants to go to Bingo a turning stone?
Speaker 1 (16:47):
Are you taking him now? Why?
Speaker 2 (16:50):
I've been busy the past week. I got to get
back out of the I've got three weeks for my
breast cancer, so I guess start lining up my ducks.
I'm pretty secure, but making the raffle baskets, the pictures,
having a plan, the tent blew away. Where I have
is samon I told you that, yeah you did, so
now I gotta see if they're gonna get technic or yeah,
(17:12):
at least get a couple of canopies.
Speaker 1 (17:14):
You've as I'm listening to you and I'm thinking about you.
You you've worked every job that involves drunk people, And
I go, how are you not in therapy? Was my question?
And then I go, oh, I know, I pickle vodka shots,
a couple of Jenny lights when you get home.
Speaker 2 (17:32):
I'm the therapist. I'm the one that listens to everybody.
Being a good listener is very important.
Speaker 1 (17:39):
Can you generically generic and really try to keep it
so sometimes I say this and people will know that
they're the ones being talked about. We had a whole
incident earlier this u this year where I was asked
to take something down because somebody felt like everybody world
(18:00):
nobody knows who they are, nobody knows not anybody cares.
The story titillating, interesting, something very relatable. But can you
think of like the worst story you ever heard? Do
you have any anything that was outrageous.
Speaker 2 (18:15):
To you, like with me or somebody I know house.
Speaker 1 (18:17):
Where you're listening where you're You just said you're the therapist,
So I don't know.
Speaker 2 (18:21):
Oh, I'd have to think about I mean, catching your
wife or a husband cheating on you in the act.
Speaker 1 (18:30):
In the act at like home in their bed.
Speaker 2 (18:32):
Yeah, they thought they were out of town. Yeah, you know,
Saturday and all sudder I can remember. I'd have to
think about it completely.
Speaker 1 (18:41):
Caught off guard, Doug or suspicions all along.
Speaker 2 (18:45):
Suspicions, Yeah, suspicions alln somebody that suspecting his wife cheating
at him. They the woman was upstairs in the shower,
he had the kids, and the kids are going crazy,
and he's like, what's what's the password to your phone
so I can get their game on them? Calm them down,
and she yields it down. And then a text came
(19:07):
up through from another guy and then he he went
through all the Texas and found out that way.
Speaker 1 (19:13):
Oh so God, talk about a punch in the gut.
Speaker 2 (19:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (19:17):
Yeah, it's always the thing like with with cheating. There
may be a reason why. I don't know what it is.
It's it I can't you know, you start to question
yourself as the person who, let's call it the victim
of the cheating, right, the person who was being cheated on,
and you start to probably question, was I not enough?
Is this person bad?
Speaker 2 (19:37):
Wild? I think you get bored of sex.
Speaker 1 (19:40):
You could maybe I don't know enough. It's tough to.
Speaker 2 (19:44):
Keep that flame burning. And I've had friends that were
married over twenty years of Yeah, you know, if you
think it's like romance and the movies, and this was
years ago, right, because I obviously I haven't been married,
so I'm like, you still spice it up in the
bedroom and he's like, buddy, it's work. If you think
it's like in the movies, you you have to find stuff.
You know, people have date nights now, yeah, you know,
a date night, but yeah, to keep it going, it's
(20:05):
you know, you were married for twenty years, right, ah? Yeah, yeah, yeah,
so you did you have date nights back then, or
let's get away for a couple of nights or something
like that.
Speaker 1 (20:16):
Not someone's yes, we would try to connect on some things. Yeah,
were all the things there, Doug, I don't you don't remember?
Speaker 2 (20:24):
Did you buy your lingerie? Sometimes? Hey put this on?
I locked it out. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (20:28):
I think one of the coolest things you can do
if if a person, if a woman's into it. Now,
here's the thing that like, I'll give you this advice
for anybody, not I don't mean for you, but for anyone.
Sure it can get boring, but you got to go
back to the reason. What attracted you to begin with
and what things did you have fun with? Now, maybe
(20:51):
it was a situation that you sort of got. I
don't know.
Speaker 2 (20:56):
But if you can both drunk and banged the party,
try to live that day.
Speaker 1 (21:01):
I got no, but I'm saying, like I know, sometimes
you've got funny If you have a great connection with somebody,
you've got funny sayings and funny things. Yeah, stuff that's
just yous. And that, to me is is the intimate.
Anybody can have sex, but not everybody can be intimate.
And in sex and intimacy often get confused. I think,
(21:22):
I believe because we go, well they were intimately, yes, yes, true,
But hookers won't kiss you because they think that's more it.
Speaker 2 (21:29):
Don't want to kiss. God knows where that mouth has been.
Speaker 1 (21:32):
Well, that's that's true too, but it's almost like a
little more.
Speaker 2 (21:39):
Like twenty twenty minutes. Let's let's get to the ball game.
I really don't need the starts bangled banner.
Speaker 1 (21:45):
But I think if you're gonna do it like uh,
fun little surprises.
Speaker 2 (21:51):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (21:51):
And one thing that I would talk about I don't
know that I ever did, but like if you could
leave an outfit over the back of a chair for
your significant other, well it could be that, but an
outfit and just say put this on, be ready at five,
I'll be here to pick you up. It's almost like
(22:11):
that's that's kind of hot in its own way, right,
and you don't know where you're going, and you're you're
feeling good, and it's did somebody just do a face
plan out there?
Speaker 2 (22:21):
Yep? Oh boy?
Speaker 1 (22:22):
All right, let's pause for just one second. A lady
just did a face plant outside the studio. We will
be right back. Looking for high quality cannabis that fits

I didn't mean that. I was thinking of something. I apologize,
I do that.
Speaker 2 (26:02):
It's okay.
Speaker 1 (26:02):
It's like you're talking to a wall a room to me.
Our studio is in package Landing and it's right across
from Fairport, Yeah, in Fairport, and right across from the
town hall where the electric company is and the police
station and some other things are housed there.
Speaker 2 (26:20):
And well, you have a big bay window.
Speaker 1 (26:22):
And I have I looked out this big window.
Speaker 2 (26:25):
Everybody, it's a it's a little strip plaza, ye like yeah,
twenty shops, yeah, double level, triple, triple level.
Speaker 1 (26:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (26:32):
And uh, I'm looking at Bill. Bill's looking at me.
And Bill gets to look outside and right and from the.
Speaker 1 (26:37):
Way, I my my vantage point is I can see
everything that's happening. And I look up and I see
a woman like I had noticed her walking in because
she had a cane and it stood out to me
because my dad, who recently has had a cane and stuff.
And all of a sudden, I look up again and
this time she's like on her.
Speaker 2 (26:56):
You say, I think that woman fell belly.
Speaker 1 (26:58):
Yeah, I think she fell because she was on her belly,
like you know, she's just hit in the middle of
a sidewalk throughing airplanes, like I can't get up, but
I can't get up, bralfie. She didn't cry, she didn't anything,
because I thought, for.
Speaker 2 (27:11):
Sure, I sit up and she's in this rainbow. Sure, yes,
and she's just moving back forth. Yeah, that's when we
took the break yep, I ran out first, Yes you did.
Speaker 1 (27:19):
I I was just I wanted to make a while.
Speaker 2 (27:22):
I didn't take my cell phone. If you need your
cell phone, that was a good move, because.
Speaker 1 (27:25):
No I didn't. But I ran in to get her
water and I would have called nine one one. But
everything's right there. And the thing that surprises me is
how I don't know how long she was there.
Speaker 2 (27:34):
I mean a couple of minutes.
Speaker 1 (27:36):
Did she go down like to her knees and then
fall or did she just go head like just.
Speaker 2 (27:41):
I think her knees. She said her knees hurt. Yeah,
she had scrapes on her forearms. She did not face plant,
she did not hit her nose.
Speaker 1 (27:49):
She get her number because she's in your age group.
Speaker 2 (27:51):
I just do this. Yeah. No, I don't need that. No,
I don't need old women to fall just fall from
I'm not gonna go around and pick him up. You're
gonna movie theater or something. Boo great, great, boof oh great.
She's one of those walkers with the four wheels where
(28:11):
she could turn around sit down at it. Yeah yeah, yeah,
yeah yeah. And they have brakes on them too. Yep.
Nobody wants that, you know it doesn't mean you're elderly,
but your baa fucking does. But the good thing is
that you can well, I mean you can use those
getting from your car because obviously you can still drive
even though you're falling.
Speaker 1 (28:28):
Maybe you shouldn't be, Yeah you think so, Yeah, I
would think. I think one of the most important things
to do is to try to work on your balance always.
Speaker 2 (28:37):
Oh my gosh, yes, that's yeah, Like it's gotta be
one of the most common injuries for people over seventy
seventy five. Yea, your dead just fell right, broke his hip.
Speaker 1 (28:47):
Yeah, well, he had Parkinson's and he had a walker
and everything, and at that point they probably shouldn't even
let him out of the walker. He should have stayed
in there, right in the wheelchair. But whatever, right, Like
you can go and say, whatever, what happened, happened, and
and then and maybe for the best.
Speaker 2 (29:01):
When you hear your stuffing their feet where they can't
pull them up enough and you hear that, yeah, slide,
that's you know, we got to get a walker, whether
you want one or not, because a face plant is
so dangerous.
Speaker 1 (29:14):
Well, there's so many things in your face that are
the bones, like under your eye are very fragile stuff,
you know, and so you don't want that. And I
have a floating bone that chips your knock your teeth out.
You can do all.
Speaker 2 (29:27):
Kinds absolutely, and you're not bouncing back fast. So you're
gonna look like a raccoon for seven months. Oh wow,
you know you're gonna You're gonna look like it happened yesterday,
Happy Halloween, Happy halloweene's gum.
Speaker 1 (29:41):
Maybe I'm gonna go as an old person that fell
this year.
Speaker 2 (29:44):
There you go, there you go. That's nice, wonderful. And
she said, what are you? We did our good deed
for the week, not.
Speaker 1 (29:51):
The no for the week. Yeah, we helped her get
back on our feet. I ran in here, got our
bottle of water and never got our name. No, I
didn't see. That was what I was afraid of. I
didn't want her to think because she was old enough
that she's still paying by check. I kept her book
closed and I said to her, make sure you have
all your PaperWorks, because if something slit, I don't want
to be accused of, Hey that guy stole a check,
(30:13):
or I what the.
Speaker 2 (30:14):
Fuck, because that's unfortunate that we have to think that way.
Speaker 1 (30:17):
Well, you can understand where these things happen. I mean, look,
who knows what's happening in the world today.
Speaker 2 (30:23):
Who knows?
Speaker 1 (30:24):
Who the fuck knows? Yesterday was like a very bizarre
day in the evening down where a guy who never
played in the NFL claimed he did, but he never did.
I think they went and they found out that he
had played in high school. You didn't hear this, Okay?
Speaker 2 (30:41):
A guy drunk?
Speaker 1 (30:42):
Bill, Yeah, well maybe you're better off being that way, Dougie.
You know, pickle vodka solves everything. I don't worry about it. Hey,
folks having a problem pickle vodka. Yeah. This guy went
down to Midtown and he was trying to get to
the NFL headquarter orders and he walked into the building Midtown, Rochester,
(31:05):
Midtown Manhattan, ok, Mintown, Manhattan, trying to get to the
NFL headquarters. He walked into this building. He's a twenty
seven year old guy. He had a I think it's automatic,
but I don't want to say anything wrong. He said
that he had that. He was he was looking, he
was he got into the wrong elevator. Excuse me, I'm
(31:25):
allergic to that woman. He got in the wrong elevator
and I guess it took him to a different floor.
He did end up because it was at six forty
five at night, so I'm thinking most people have gone
home for the day. Not everybody, but most people. And
he wound up killing a security guard in a uniformed officer.
(31:50):
I think they were just taken by surprise. I don't
know if you saw the guy. He got out of
a black BMW and just walked in there, and there
was a late who was in an elevator. She walked away.
He got it obviously in the wrong elevator to take
him to the floor for the NFL headquarters. But he
did end up shooting an NFL executive in the back.
Speaker 2 (32:12):
He would killed the security guard of the yeah, yeah,
and they turned the gun on himself, then turned the
gun on.
Speaker 1 (32:17):
Himself and shot himself in the chest. Yep. And they
found a note, three page note in his wallet criticizing
the NFL and referenced CTE, the degenerative brain disease head
trauma that you can only diagnose I think upon someone's death.
(32:40):
He never played professional or college. He played in high school.
There was an MapD officer, a Blackstone executive. They were
an investment firm, a building security guard, and an NFL
employee remains hospitalized. He got to the thirty third floor
trying to get to the NFL. And it's like, here's
one of the things I think of. We have a
(33:00):
murky world of self diagnosis. Now, I'm not saying most
people are going around saying they have CDE and they're
gonna go and shoot somebody. There's clearly more than that.
And this guy, by the way, drove, I believe from Vegas.
I think he lived out in Nevada and he drove
either way. He drove a very far distance to come
to had a plan, had a plan, He believed that
(33:22):
he had CTE and was blaming the NFL for this.
And I think in his letter even says he was
a former NFL player but or maybe he tried out,
but there's no record of that. But I go, okay,
but we do have this murky world in much less degree.
This is tragic, awful people, innocent people who lost their lives,
(33:43):
I understand. But you've got self diagnosis going all over
the place. How many people do you know, go, yeah,
I got it's my ADD, it's my ADHD, it's it's
my anxiety. It's maybe you do have it, but why
don't you just find way used to cope with this
ship if you've got it. But it's like a badge
(34:06):
of honor that people wear it as. And I go,
this self diagnosis of everything, Maybe you do, if you do,
if you really do believe, Like I have a adult
family member says I have ADHD and now takes ADHD
medicine and claims so much better, so much better. Great,
you did something about it. Anybody else I know, they
(34:28):
just laughing all like, yeah, a pass the wine. It's
my ADHD. My OCD is kicking in.
Speaker 4 (34:39):
You know.
Speaker 1 (34:39):
Well I guess or we don't know, or but we
do these murky self diagnosed And I go, that's I'm
starting to think this is a dumb thing that we do.
It's a little dangerous on one side, And the other
side is I think you just like to be a
narcissist and complain about yourself. That's that's what I think.
Speaker 2 (34:56):
Whose that's your diagnosis, Doctor phelps, Doctor felps, Doctor fresh
the room. Is it all about me? Doctor? No, you
just want it all about you because your attention are well,
I have medithon. Here's some thianide, but something like CTE.
Speaker 1 (35:11):
I don't know how you put more guardrails on that,
but we have had players like Junior Seau who shot
himself in the chest.
Speaker 2 (35:19):
Yeah, do you think that might have just been massive depression?
Speaker 1 (35:23):
Well, probably brought on by ct Well, I mean it
could be. I don't know. Hey, look, I don't know.
Speaker 2 (35:28):
Listen, I got I get a question for that. Yes, okay,
So Junior SEU NFL Hall of Famer. Yeah, where are
the guys from nineteen twenty, nineteen thirty with the CTE
and they were wearing a leather house well taking the
hits just as much. Maybe you don't think they had
concussions back then, or do they just work through and
(35:49):
be like, okay, play a little too much football and
they're smashing walnuts on their forehead. Hey, it goes, uncle Bob.
Keep them away from the walnuts.
Speaker 1 (36:00):
Like I always think, I understand what you're saying. But
evolution of humanity is a good thing, and the fact
that we can diagnose these things and help each other.
Everything affects people differently, like one person meet get severely depressed.
You'll never convince me that we're watching CTA CTE excuse
(36:21):
me play out in Antonio Brown, the former wide receiver
for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and then he had a moment
with the Patriots.
Speaker 2 (36:29):
And then he just walked out the rails.
Speaker 1 (36:31):
And then well, he's never said that, he's never given
that diagnosis. I'm just saying I wouldn't be surprised if
when he passes, they do a thing and you know whatever. Uh,
I don't know, but I just the self diagnosis thing.
It's a murky world to step into. And at the
(36:51):
same time, if you were playing at the professional level,
I would think there's probably a damn good chance you
got it, you know. I I don't know. I mean,
we don't know the private lives of these guys.
Speaker 2 (37:01):
After they're doing They could be falling down the stairs,
just woman outside right hitting their edge. She might have
CT what is it? What is it called ct CT.
She might have CT. She might have just traumaphilis obvious.
She told me that her kids told her that she
fell falls too much and you gotta get on a ranch, right,
don't have a move in with you, No, have them
(37:24):
fall on a ranch that way. One of her neighbors
can it's Tompson.
Speaker 1 (37:28):
I lean fell down again.
Speaker 2 (37:31):
I mean it did take me and you both to
get her up.
Speaker 1 (37:34):
Well, I don't think she was.
Speaker 2 (37:35):
Getting up, be honest, looking back, I mean she might
have been able to get out.
Speaker 1 (37:37):
She was like a turtle on her back. Yeah, yeah,
she was a turtle.
Speaker 2 (37:40):
Rolled to one knee, got the other knee up. Luckily
she had a bench there. Well, she might have been
able to.
Speaker 1 (37:45):
I didn't want to touch her, No, no, no, no, and
not for any dirty thing, right, I know, I just
don't touch me. Don't touch me? Should she say that?
Speaker 2 (37:53):
No?
Speaker 1 (37:54):
No, What I'm saying is and I didn't. That's why
I said, you don't touch her yet, because what if
she had broken something, right, and she's in shock, and
then we move it and all of a sudden the
bull pops out the skin dog. It's your fault, right,
you know there was no blood, No, but that still
she had pants you up to breathing, right, that's why
(38:14):
you set your ass. You said to her, roll to
your side, to your side, and she did, and then
we both took her hands and put her arm like
under her armpick on it and lifted her up. And
she got up pretty easily.
Speaker 2 (38:24):
And it was, says her about five minutes and.
Speaker 1 (38:26):
Yeah, got her bottle of water and said stop being
such a fucking drama queen and move on.
Speaker 2 (38:31):
Yeah right, what were you depositing? This is your shy,
This is this three dollars and fifty five cents. This
is really what you came out ninety four degree heat.
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (38:43):
I don't know if she was going to pay her bill.
That's a great question. I waited to the coolest part
of the day, is it.
Speaker 2 (38:49):
Yeah, I never go out on the seat. It was
that important. It was that important you had to go out.
I'm just saying my.
Speaker 1 (38:55):
Father had let me. Oh, by the way, welcome.
Speaker 2 (38:57):
To the family. So when the father comes in Sunday
for my birthday, he's cooking Italian sausage and uh, he
almost fell down because he's waiting for the Italian sausage
to cook. So what's he think is a good idea
to do in ninety two degree heat? Start cleaning the
garage and your son's birthday? And then he almost falls
over and Kelly's my sister's like, are you okay to
(39:18):
you need water?
Speaker 1 (39:19):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (39:21):
Huh yeah, I'm like I'm just looking at you. Why
would you not. Of course you got to ask why
would you do that? I don't know. I don't know.
My father's favorite. I don't know. Why did you do that?
I don't know. Yeah, I had to be doing saying
he's got to be doing something.
Speaker 1 (39:35):
All right, But should we Now, if that were your
mom that fell, and you find out she fell, you
find out what she was doing. Why, why she was
out to you yell at her and.
Speaker 2 (39:46):
Then yelled my dad. No, I would not yell my mother.
But mom, why? Yeah? Why we've told you by this time,
you're not going on in the hut, by the way,
you're going out.
Speaker 1 (39:59):
Yeah, And I pay online?
Speaker 2 (40:00):
Okay, did you see that check book that was from
nineteen sixty five? That fucker was old.
Speaker 1 (40:08):
Well, I flipped through.
Speaker 2 (40:10):
I had Betty Boop on it.
Speaker 1 (40:11):
That Yeah, I didn't know I had Betty Boop. And
I think there was a subscription in.
Speaker 2 (40:15):
There, like three hundred guards of six dollars in the
bank account. But you don't have to go to that bank.
Speaker 4 (40:21):
Pilot.
Speaker 1 (40:22):
Well, her family dodge the bullet in the NFL dodged
a bullet yesterday.
Speaker 2 (40:26):
Yeah, that's too bad. That's terrible.
Speaker 1 (40:27):
Isn't that scary?
Speaker 2 (40:28):
Yes, it's just scared. Scared.
Speaker 1 (40:31):
No, you can't live scared.
Speaker 2 (40:32):
But hear ship like that and you're.
Speaker 1 (40:33):
Like, well it makes you you wonder, like, I mean
all this stuff.
Speaker 2 (40:37):
Okay, I have ct but don't you know that it's
wrong to kill.
Speaker 1 (40:41):
First of all, we can't diagnose it until you're gone.
They don't have a test to say that you have CTE.
You could have it from wrestling. Did you get concussions? Wrestling? Motherfucker,
I gained concussion. All right, I'll take him right, that's right, man,
(41:04):
that's the thing that was there's no way to tell
man that. That's the tough part, you know. So I
love the diagnosis because I'm sure people running out they
probably did have ct You got the wrong elevator, didn't
know other fucker was going, he didn't know the building.
You know that.
Speaker 2 (41:17):
Sometimes and I'll say this, I probably shouldn't, but yeah,
you hear about people having kidney stones or burns, Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Over the years, there's been a few times it just
kind of you know.
Speaker 1 (41:28):
It burned.
Speaker 2 (41:30):
Yeah, but it might have been a syphilis chicksied. They
don't have syphilis, they barely have teeth. Well that maybe
that may be your frist.
Speaker 1 (41:40):
They were got a teeth that they have got a
teeth though.
Speaker 2 (41:47):
But uh, you know, maybe late nightie drinking or too
much sodium, too much shots or something. Sometimes like well,
maybe there was a kind of kidney stone. I'm not
gonna go to the doctor for it. No, kidney stones
are very, very pain. Yes, yeah, I've heard that. That's
why sometimes I think maybe I had one or two.
Speaker 1 (42:04):
But yeah, and then so I remember hearing somebody say
they were on the toilet, sinning woman and all of
a sudden, pink. It's like planko, pink, pink, pink. It
fell out. Yeah, finally finally passed, but it made water. Well, no,
it pinged on on the porcelain. I mean I think
shot shot out.
Speaker 2 (42:23):
Yeah, like a.
Speaker 1 (42:26):
Canyon.
Speaker 2 (42:29):
I love me too, are you talking about even to
day though, they say the both basic treatments are still
your best. Ice on a ice on a swollen ankle
or wherever, because once you have a different, uh swelling
swelling ice on it, your your body, your blood nose,
(42:52):
just rush new blood to that area. Yeah, okay, thank
you doctor, welcome remedy. Jenny lighton pickle juice. I'm living proof, Yes,
you're gonna walk out of here. Oh yeah, fall faced.
I'm gonna be knocking in that woman's car. Are you okay? There?
(43:13):
Take a nap?
Speaker 1 (43:15):
Fol all right? Well, uh, we'll take a we'll take
a moment. Just be careful with your self diagnosis of anything.
That's all I'm telling you.
Speaker 2 (43:23):
You should go to the doctor. I guess I went
to the doctor. I mean there's a good doctor. Look
in everything. There's good strip clubs, band strip clubs. Yeah,
but you don't know what doctor's good or you know,
I can go to fifteen strip clubs in a day.
I can't go see fifteen doctors.
Speaker 3 (43:35):
What do you fucking know?
Speaker 2 (43:36):
But I you know, how do you narrow that one down?
I don't know. Good McDonald's and bad McDonalds, that's true. Yeah,
good Denny's, bad Donny Right, good doctor, good doctor, that's right.
You know what you call a guy that went to
seven years of college and graduated five thousand out of
his class?
Speaker 1 (43:51):
Right? Doctor, doctor, that's right, I'm still doctor. That's right.
Sea's get degrees. It's just know that, you know why doctor.

Download IT and i tell, YOU what i played one
of the songs he requests had on the list.
Speaker 1 (48:20):
And number One.
Speaker 2 (48:21):
In albania eight percent of people get up and all it's.
A circle one's going going, this way one's going the.
Other way just every couple steps and clapping. And uh
he said do one now and then like in, six
songs do, another one and everybody. Got UP so i
played two in, a ROW and i was going for
number three and the bride, comes over her gout just
(48:44):
running over, to me comes up, the table sweat dripping
all then no more of. THIS music. I can't i need.

Speaker 2 (50:20):
I'M sorry i hope you got some nice pictures of family.
AND everything i think that's forgotten. A lot you were
talking about things. That, traditions yeah, you know get together
like you saw the one some people and some people
are just not picture people and they just don't even like.
A camera my brother, in LAWS but I mean i
(50:41):
take a pictures of us obviously. Every week, but then
so did you see This? One? Sunday, Yeah Yeah so
i'm a big. Picture PERSON when i see something, Right
there i'm, just like let's get. Get together just Put
your we did.
Speaker 1 (50:56):
DO pictures I think i'd let other people, take them
knowing that we have shared family photo albums that you
know online that we can all access and STUFF which
i probably never. Do enough my brother and sister. Are
fantastic my mother has what's Called an. Aurora frame it's
a digital thing that you can upload photos from wherever.
(51:16):
You are so my brother does. THAT constantly i have
very few photos in THERE because.
Speaker 2 (51:20):
I, your mom why don't you upload one of these?
EVERY week i don't what by THE time I do
i send? To you send it? TO Her i mom'm thinking.
Speaker 1 (51:27):
Of, you, yeah OKAY BUT i, i, went oh.
Speaker 2 (51:30):
Here's what when did you talk to your mom? Last
week remember you were duck?
Speaker 1 (51:35):
In, HER no.
Speaker 2 (51:36):
I was did you call her?
Speaker 1 (51:37):
THAT night i called her? That night when did we Get?
Speaker 2 (51:39):
Together? WEDNESDAY yeah i.
Speaker 1 (51:41):
Said, to her, You know i'm very SORRY that I
just i CAN'T and i THINK that I made dad's
thing more final, for ME and i don't want to
do that. Right now and uh and then she said,
TO me, I know AND then i SO then i
did write, her AGAIN and, i, SAID look i of.
Void things and she wrote back something.
Speaker 2 (52:02):
To, The effect so you didn't call you? Text, HER
no i talked.
Speaker 1 (52:04):
TO her i did talk, to her BUT then i wrote.
HER again i just wrote her an EMAIL saying i
hope because it was concerning, to me because my mom
can be all of a sudden taken on this thing
of well WHAT did? I do and it's? Not all
and here's, the thing it's hard to not say. It's
all HOW do i say this without? SOUNDING yeah i
(52:27):
gotta be careful because it's a tricky word and people
think it the, wrong way a word. At verbiage everybody's
coming from. Their PERSPECTIVE but i don't believe that anybody's
actually able to assert anything on you. IN life I
just i don't believe that we can say because the
idea that if you just, BEHAVED better i would feel
(52:47):
better is sort of shitty when you think, About that
but we do it all. The time i'm in a
bad mood because YOU, DID x Y or, Z right
but we shouldn't be. That way we SHOULD sometimes, i,
understand well sometimes. It does it seems TO but, i
go but that seems to be a very human based way,
of thinking and. It's NOT and i, often think like
you got to kind of stay up here and whatever's happening.
(53:10):
Over there so but my mom can be super sensitive
to those types of things and take it on. Very
personally and this is a weird. Time anyway you got a,
dead guy always gonna, be weird you know you Want,
to yeah fucked up. Family situation now throw a, dead
body and now we got to really SO, all, i
well it's.
Speaker 2 (53:27):
That, dead body it's. Your father it's.
Speaker 1 (53:28):
Only ONE but. I understand but my point is like
it just makes things a little, more, elevated right. Everybody's
ELEVATED so i. DID call i did write her AGAIN
after i spoke, to HER and, I said i hope.
YOU understand, I said i tend to probably, avoid things and,
she wrote you always have the. Tough stuff but it
(53:49):
wasn't so much that IT'S like i always hate, the, term,
LIKE well i need time. To process they need time.
TO process i needed time. TO process. I did i
don't like to use, that TERM but i needed a
moment to just kind of get there without having The
oh i'm, So sorry billy from. MY mom i could
(54:09):
hear from, OTHER people i couldn't hear from, my MOM
and I don't i don't know. Exactly, Why Oh berkeley
breen is calling ME and i wanted to Talk To
berkeley Breen FROM. NEWSTEN nbc, i apologize. Wien rupt hang on,
a second let me SEE if i can connect him to.
The roadcaster but there, He Is. Berkeley, Breen uh berkeley
(54:30):
just did A live it has been a.
Speaker 2 (54:33):
Very long you only you. Need me well that, that's true.
Speaker 3 (54:40):
That that is a one way street relationship.
Speaker 2 (54:43):
Right there i'm.
Speaker 1 (54:44):
VERY sorry I would i would call you and to
grab a beer, or something but, YOU know i was
Told By nicky rudd he didn't like. Me, Anymore no,
i'm kidding a.
Speaker 3 (54:53):
Kidding now that is. Fake news that is.
Speaker 1 (54:59):
Fake news berkeley has been doing a Story The Porto.
Rican fest My friend doug is with me today And
The Puerto rican fest is coming up. This weekend Traditionally
in rochester After The puerto, rican fess the festival itself.
Really nice everything seems to, go fine there's. No issues
but it's the last day and there have. Been issues
(55:22):
last year there seemed to be. No issues apparently this
city put out a letter last year to Businesses In
North clinton avenue and told them shut down at a
certain time or, face penalties. INCLUDING arrest i don't know
if anybody read it, last year because the same letter
went out, this year and now businesses, are, saying whoa
what does this mean that we're going to get arrested
(55:44):
if we don't. Shut down it's one of our, busiest
times and it's one of our, busiest things except that
when they did SHUT down i don't know they had
very few problems last year as compared to Pass the City.
Speaker 2 (55:57):
Of rochester is it? The mayor well probably somebody had to, make,
probably yes and so you shut down and, make money
so there's. No, trouble, well well we're going to. Arrest
you they're. Asking, you yes they're. Asking you FROM what I,
understand berkeley and you correct Me if. I'm wrong the
idea was that most businesses are open. Till six they're
asking the close, at, four.
Speaker 3 (56:19):
Right, That's, right yes. That's right so it comes from.
The city it's signed by the city's attorney As. Corporation
council it was hand delivered by police officers to the business,
owners yesterday and it is asking them to voluntarily close
no later than four O'clock. This saturday but if they
(56:41):
don't volunt voluntarily close, at four then they are subject
to arrest under the City's Gun Violence prevention emergency when
we get ready, right Here The Gun Violence emergency proclamation
(57:01):
that has been in place since twenty, twenty two and
they keep renewing it, every month and so that proclamation
allows the city to do things. Like, this typically they,
closed streets they change traffic pattern on. A street they
will close a business if there's lots of violence around
(57:21):
the business or inside. Of it and last year they
sent this letter to business Owners On North clifton Avenue
Between Upper, palls boulevard which Is where i'm sitting, right
now and then North To, norton street saying please close
it for if, it don't then we can charge you
with a misdemeanor of violating this. Protection order.
Speaker 1 (57:45):
So what is, the, Reaction BEN because i know you
had talked to the head of the is It The
business Council For North? Clinton, avenue Yeah The.
Speaker 3 (57:55):
Business association so they were upset because because they feel
this is this is them talking that no one called
me or us to sort of talk. About this there
was no conversation. About it they, they say you don't
close the Businesses Along east avenue In main street When.
(58:18):
The St Patrick's state parade is, going on or the
PARTIES that net are. Going on you. Don't close you
don't ask the businesses to Close On park Avenue or
Cornhill Or Highland island Avenue Around. Lilac festival but we're
asking them to close. THIS time i think an objective
(58:40):
look at it is there are different things happened after
those festivals versus what happens historically After The Puerto. Rican
festival so there's a. Distinction there but. That's there. That's
there that's why they feel that this discriminates against the
Businesses On.
Speaker 1 (58:55):
NORTH clinton i can it does feel like a. GOVERNMENT
overreached i, GOT it i have. To say but since
it's in the act right the the what's the name
of the, act again JUST so i don't get her
older of.
Speaker 3 (59:06):
The acronym it is Called the it's Called The Gun
Violence emergency proclamation and it's renewed every month by the
city and it's been in Place since july of twenty,
twenty two when murderers were just we were just in, an,
absolute awful.
Speaker 1 (59:23):
Awful place you're getting people less of a place to
hide or that sort. Of thing and if you can
close down if there's some kind of. Violence HAPPENING but i,
WOULD say, i mean they have had problems After The
Saint Patrick, state parade, not many not as big as
the what's historically been seen With The Puerto. Rican fest
they've even had them like fist flights on the park
(59:45):
avenue after. Different THINGS but i, could say and this
is the thing that always, worries me, is like can
you just? Fucking behave can we just behave to have?
Speaker 2 (59:57):
An, AUDIENCE no, i understand its still a few apples
are ruining it for the.
Speaker 1 (01:00:02):
Whole exactly because it's not it's the people who put
on that festival do a really. Nice job majority of
the people who go to the festival are have the
aren't even a part.
Speaker 2 (01:00:10):
Of this get a big tent like In the midway
And The state fair, and, like look here's all the
good food and the candy apples, in this and then
we're gonna have three or four guys fighting in the.
Big tent pay. Five dollars give it to, the guys
to kids fighting away from all the. Innocent people you
want to kill, each other you want to have, an
audience go do it down there with a, dancing bear.
Speaker 1 (01:00:27):
It DOES and i Can't say, berkeley that, YOU know
i don't know if they feel LIKE it's i don't
know if the term racism or something has been brought
up about that because It's The Puerto. Rican FEST but
i WOULD say i don't think that that's necessarily. THE
case i think historically you've had, bad behavior but the
(01:00:49):
fact that now you're gonna hurt businesses in your own
neighborhood is. Really TERRIBLE and I guess i wish they
would give them. A choice could they have a choice, to, say,
hey listen you want to close, up early we'd really.
Appreciate it but, you, know.
Speaker 2 (01:01:03):
Yeah how do you? Arrest people.
Speaker 3 (01:01:07):
They're that's sort of what they're, they're doing and so
so let me SEE if i. Can so the last
sentence of, this says that is why we are asking
that you partner with the city and voluntarily close your
business by four Pm on. August, third wow they're asking
(01:01:32):
business to voluntarily. Do it BUT as i said in
my stories at four and then five o'clock a short,
TIME ago, i said this is sort of a sophie's,
Choice Here, AND bill i think your audience sold enough
To know. Sophie's choice but they're being asked to either
close early and lose money on Their busiest saturday of,
(01:01:55):
the summer or stay open hey and face the threat.
Of unarrest that's a very. Difficult decision BUT here i will.
ADD this i will. Add this in the same neighborhood
they have been they meeting the people who live in
the neighborhood who Advocate For la marquette and all the
(01:02:18):
Neighborhoods Off, northolin avenue they have, been asking demanding that
things change to reduce the amount of violence that's been
going on on. That STREET after i think there was
a murder that ultimately led to a police officer almost.
Getting shot just in the, past month they've added, extra
(01:02:41):
detail they've closed, some places so they've they've sort of
we're trying to take care of that and focus on.
This area AND so i think with, the city who
did not choose to talk to me on, camera today and,
the police what they find frustrating is on the, one hand,
they're saying please come and, do this make this, place safer,
(01:03:01):
be present, do things and then when they start to
try to do things that may be a, little unconventional
then they get low backs. From, it yeah that's their point.
Speaker 1 (01:03:14):
OF view i. CAN understand i can understand what they're what.
They're thinking but at the, same time if you're trying
to run, a business the whole purpose of a business
is to. Make money, so yeah and not. Get, arrested
well and and, THE letter i know what, you said
it's written by the, city attorney but it. Seems contradictory
we're asking you to. Voluntarily close but if you're threatening,
(01:03:35):
me arrest that's. Not volunteer that's.
Speaker 4 (01:03:37):
Not voluntary, uh, YEAH yeah i mean you know it's
going to be it's gonna be a difficult decision now
for these.
Speaker 3 (01:03:48):
Business, owners now some they would be closing an. Hour
early so there are places that would open till. FIVE
o'clock i looked at the hours on. Their, Doors, yeah
saturday they're open, to five so now they would close an.
Hour early other places might be opened, till six so
now they closed an hour two. Hours early BUT what,
(01:04:08):
i found especially with the food, service places is that
they typically stay open later on the weekend Of The puerto,
rican testing so they it's almost Like Their. Black friday
and could you imagine could you imagine in when you
know when malls were a thing and brick and mortar
stores were more of. A THING if i, Don't know
(01:04:29):
Target or walmart Or Or passed buy was asked to
close early on Good On, black friday they'd have. A
CONNIPTION so i, think that, you know on a much,
smaller scale that's what we're talking. About HERE but, i,
think ULTIMATELY and i don't speak for, the City but
i've spoken, to them their goal is to reduce what
(01:04:53):
we have seen in, the past which, is unruliness level,
of chaos. Some homicides two, YEARS ago i remember a
child was thrown out of a car run over by
a car that was probably that WAS. Pre covid there
were TIMES that i can recall times when they would
(01:05:13):
almost like police would go in like a like their,
swat team and they had these loud noise making machines
and flashing like, yeah people that's how they used to.
Do IT and i think they, realized, that well we're
not going to arrest our way out of what they
(01:05:34):
saw as, a problem and so then they're trying a. Different,
tactic so, you know so the question is the question we,
asked today is they sent the exact same letter to
these business owners, last year. Same wording they've got both of.
The letters. They're identical the only thing that changed is.
The date so what is the difference between last year and?
(01:05:56):
This year and the theory from the head of the
business association, here says this year some business owners actually. Read,
it yeah they read the letter and they saw what the.
Consequences were it. Alarmed them they took. It seriously they
posted about, it publicly and Then The, business association Led BY. Albert,
(01:06:17):
r garin who's been. HERE forever, i mean it's an
Institution On North, clinton avenue he decided to have a
news conference and go to bat. For.
Speaker 2 (01:06:24):
Them, YEAH well i mean the whole the whole. Catcher
release you get arrested and then they let. YOU go,
i mean if there's that bigger penalties, FOR this i
mean you're fighting? In public was it? A weekend? You
know you raise it to, three months one hundred and,
eight days you're, Caught fighting you're gonna go. To jail
you think that might did? Two people?
Speaker 1 (01:06:43):
They, MIGHT yeah i mean it. Very.
Speaker 2 (01:06:45):
WELL might.
Speaker 1 (01:06:46):
I don't it seems like. Nothing works, but yes we don't.
Speaker 2 (01:06:49):
Have, anything well we don't letting. PEOPLE out, i mean
what crime are you getting? Held? For? Murder? Stabbing? Maybe,
maybe yeah seriously to, say that oh oh we.
Speaker 1 (01:07:00):
Lost them BUT what i was going to ask HIM
was i think there was a Time that Burke Is,
HEY Berkeley. I berkeley i thought There was. THAT'S okay
i thought there was a time when you were in
THE ten nbc VAN and i thought THE ten nbc
(01:07:20):
van was getting like rocked back? And forth was?
Speaker 2 (01:07:24):
That True, delivering.
Speaker 6 (01:07:32):
No.
Speaker 3 (01:07:32):
It wasn't, SO no i. Thank. Goodness NO but i
know that we HAVE had i think there might have
been damaged to one of our live, trust yes believe
that that was a long. TIME ago i. WASN'T there
i don't think. FOR that i know we've had photographers
and some of, our cars, you know things thrown. At
(01:07:53):
them but we're talking back in, you know more than ten.
Speaker 1 (01:07:57):
Years, ago, absolutely yeah, You're, RIGHT yes i think so ten.
To fifteen it.
Speaker 3 (01:08:03):
Was dicey it, was, dicey yeah. Certain. Times.
Speaker 1 (01:08:06):
Absolutely well it hopefully like all this attention that this
is getting doesn't make people, to, go oh hey we
forgot what? We forgot fuck, these guys we're. GOING crazy
i hope that, doesn't happen because it does feel like it.
Could be, you know they they had a, better year
and it's a nice festival about. THE culture, i mean
(01:08:27):
the food, is delicious the music is so, much fun
and and then you you've got the end, of it
which is is it All at frontier or, Excuse Me.
Speaker 3 (01:08:36):
Innovative, field, WELL geez i thought It was parcel, five now, But.
Speaker 1 (01:08:43):
No parcel five makes way. More sense that does right
down in the city where they have like a big
jazz state. Set up sometimes it's a great location right
in the heart of, the city and it's it's, it's
nice it's.
Speaker 2 (01:08:57):
Very.
Speaker 1 (01:08:58):
Nice uh well that it's A good well Look at
berkeley and then you got to go back and do
another live. Hit, TONIGHT.
Speaker 3 (01:09:05):
Yeah i was eleven four. Or five i'll be live.
At six we've moved a little bit. From now We're
At North Clinton, upper falls so this is sort of
the start of the corridor where they want businesses. To
close so we're just parked.
Speaker 1 (01:09:16):
Right, Here, OKAY well i appreciate you calling in and
giving Us some do you want to talk?
Speaker 3 (01:09:22):
About? Me yeah you want to talk about the other?
Breakers today? The, diocese yeah break.
Speaker 1 (01:09:26):
Do the breaking news on. The diocese this is interesting
in that many people who have were sexually abused. Or
assaulted some people may even say rape came to an
agreement on. A. Settlement.
Speaker 3 (01:09:42):
Correct yeah so this is the bankruptcy case In The
Rochester catholic diocese where there were four hundred and seventy.
Five claimants now that is the technical, term claimants but
what they are they were victims of sexual abuse by
easts mostly and they are, now survivors and they filed
(01:10:08):
a claim When the states Passed The Child, victims act
which opened up a what ended up being a two
year window where people who were victimized as a child
could then sue the the entity that that. Is involved
so they couldn't sue, individual priests but they couldn't they
could sue, the diocese or they could sue the school district.
(01:10:29):
And sodaspurt so eventually this case was moved out of
state court into federal, bankruptcy court which is where a
lot of the diocess cases around the country ended up
moving to to begin. Bankruptcy cases, and man it was
going on for six years and there were there was
a back and forth and you know a lot of
(01:10:52):
the victims felt like they were getting. Struck along they
were getting pulled in all kinds of different directions when they, were, yeah, right,
like yeah not dissimilar the way they were treated. As
children so, eventually though six, years later sixty, years, later
yeah they come up with The eighth it what they
(01:11:15):
Call The eighth plan or The, EIGHTH settlement, i think
and it is worth two hundred and forty six, million
dollars most of which is paid by insurance companies and
the victims of. The survivors the four hundred and seventy
five survivors have been voting on This. Since may the
voting concluded last week and today in federal court they
(01:11:36):
tallied the vote and the vote. Was unanimous so the
victims in this case unanimously approved, this settlement which means it's.
Basically Over this one more meeting to Go, in september
and then they'll start making payments to the victims of
this two hundred and forty six million in the. Fifty, FIVE.
Speaker 1 (01:11:57):
Sorry i was going, to say they're actually going to.
Get money don't forget The The catholic dices, claimed bankruptcy.
Speaker 3 (01:12:05):
WELL they i don't know if they, claimed bankruptcy but
they moved the case to. Bankruptcy court so there's different versions.
Of it i've, heard that so it's sort OF a
i can't explain why they, did it it's just the
way they. Did it it was that's just the way
(01:12:27):
they decided to, do it and other dioceses in the
country have gone. That way so if each victim or
survivor let's call, them survivors if each survivor were to
get the same amount, of money it would equal roughly
five hundred and twelve thousand. Per survivor it's not going
to be. Like that some survivors will, get more some will.
(01:12:50):
Get less they actually score them On a they ranked
them on a score of zero to, one hundred and
the higher the score, you get the more funny. You'll
get and there's we don't know all of the criteria,
the court will.
Speaker 1 (01:13:08):
You father for, you know think about it, AND look
i say, this Jokingly and i've been, very OPEN and
I think berkeley. KNOWS this i was sexually abused as
a as a six year old guy by, a BABYSITTER
so i often feel like it's. The JOKE and i used, to,
(01:13:29):
say uh, you know the only difference between me and
YOU is i know seven different ways to get out
of a speeding ticket, you don't which is so dumb,
right terrible but it, is horrible and some people probably
went through, maybe longer more years, of it, you know
those those types, of things, and, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:13:49):
Persevere but there's other things like were they actively involved
in this in the? Bankruptcy case you are they actively
counseling and helping. Other survivors so there's things like that
that raised. Their score but suffice, to say it is
almost over after after. Six years and what ABOUT what i,
(01:14:09):
MEAN almost i mean one meeting away from. Being over
and then whoever the court appoints to figure out who,
GETS what i think the money will start going out
Probably Around, christmas.
Speaker 2 (01:14:21):
Wow And then christmas Baby no, jewish people.
Speaker 1 (01:14:27):
And then AND then i.
Speaker 2 (01:14:31):
Nobody ever, converts ANYMORE then i think THAT then.
Speaker 3 (01:14:34):
I think the diocese will get a. New, Bishop Uh,
bishop matano you have to submit your retirement papers when
you turned, seventy five and he did that three. Years
ago and my hunches and it's more of, a hunch
it's talking to people in, the diocese but That That
paupe francis probably did not accept his retirement letter until this,
(01:14:56):
was done and SO now i wouldn't be Surprised if
Leo accepts mishematano's retirement letter and then they get a
new bishop Into the Diocese of rochester with a, you
know a, clean slate so, to speak at least this
bankruptcy not hanging over. The diocese and then then they
(01:15:17):
figure out what.
Speaker 2 (01:15:18):
To.
Speaker 1 (01:15:18):
Do yeah already interesting, and sad, but, yeah hopefully hopefully
this is something that you feel recognized if. Nothing else and,
you know somebody's gonna have A. Nice christmas do you
KNOW what i had to do to Provide?
Speaker 2 (01:15:33):
This Christmas, OH god i don't think the money will
take away, the memories.
Speaker 1 (01:15:39):
For, it's not it's not.
Speaker 2 (01:15:41):
At all but some people are well look at the money.

Speaker 3 (01:20:33):
He, did yeah you were. TO kitches.
Speaker 2 (01:20:36):
I don't.
Speaker 1 (01:20:37):
THINK so i was working for a ROCK station Wpdh
and poughkeepsie and they had a the morning show producer
dj' at, this club and so they started this satellite
RADIO was z. Ninety THREE so I think i ended
UP when i Was, AT iHeart. I was i was
doing mornings on that station for a, whole while LIKE
(01:20:59):
because i would fill in for guys around, the COUNTRY
and i filled HIM for z, NINETY three I know.
I did And but sebastian comes to town and he's
like with the owner of the company and they bring
him to get like in our face and agitated, and
STUFF and i forget, What happened and there was something
where there was some shoving between Me. And sebastiwana i'd
(01:21:20):
always loved to talk to him about that, because uh,
YOU know, i mean girls were. Going crat he's a very,
pretty GUY and i forget, what happened but he did
something to like to the guy who's BEING. In dj
tried to grab, the MIC and I think i went
and grabbed the back and he, pushed ME so i
shoved him and then somebody jumped in. The middle, but
yeah that's that's sort of how. It WAY if, i
(01:21:42):
RECALL sometimes i, always worry is my memory make it
better than it? Actually was is you KNOW what? I
MEAN because i couldn't, believe afterwards people, were like well are,
You Doing and, I'M like i. Don't know been on
a couple. Of flights. I'm fine, you know it's just.
Speaker 2 (01:21:55):
What happens that's. What happens, you know, somethings escalate, Things escalate.
Speaker 1 (01:21:59):
THAT'S it i had some Questions For. DOUGIE fresh i
didn't want to touch On The jane leno just, Real,
Quick Uh, JAY leno i can't tell if this is
he's got, a point he's got, a point the. World
changes he, says that what are.
Speaker 2 (01:22:18):
You doing on, The, camera hi it's being nice. TO people.
Speaker 1 (01:22:25):
A lot of people are very very upset. About This,
stephen colbert, Who's upset well. Fuck. Them yeah but here's the,
thing is like anybody, Who wasn't.
Speaker 2 (01:22:34):
I'm getting paid thirty million dollars my whole half an. Hour,
monologue yeah but putting down, the, president well hang on, A.
Speaker 1 (01:22:39):
Second hang on. A second that's what free speech gives
you the right.
Speaker 2 (01:22:42):
To, Do absolutely and most.
Speaker 1 (01:22:45):
Of the people who didn't agree with him didn't watch.
Him anyway do you Understand what? I'm saying like, to
me IT'S like i can't. See that the other part of,
that is EVEN if i don't agree, WITH him i
don't want to see free speech. Go, AWAY however i
want to draw an, analogy HERE and i think this. Is,
important yes that company was trying to make a. MAJOR
(01:23:05):
deal i like to think this is not a. POLITICAL
thing I Think late night has been, losing Money and
i'd like TO. Believe, cbs however they've probably been losing,
Money before so why is this a big deal at.
This moment it could be That the, president, says, HEY
man i got the final stamp, on this and you
(01:23:25):
better get that guy to. Shut up it could be
it would, Be bad but don't tell me that hasn't
happened in. THE past i can tell you just. An
entertainment there are people who want to. Protect themselves when
it becomes the president Of The, united states we get
a little worried because it becomes like, a dictatorship and
then what happens to. Free speech i'm not saying that's the,
(01:23:47):
case HERE but i think that there. Are people could
you could try to connect the dots. That Way, howard
stern one of the biggest radio personalities to ever sit behind.
A microphone Opie. AND anthony I know opie a, little
bit and they Were, In, worcester massachusetts starting to get
(01:24:09):
really put a foothold On the. Boston market. As Well
the Mayor of boston went on Vacation to florida or something.
Like that they came on As an april fool's joke
and Said the mayor's plane. Went DOWN nobody i forget
when this was had to be, like nine nineteen, ninety eight.
Ninety nine there was the ability to check as quickly
(01:24:33):
as there, is now which still isn't probably happening in,
certain instances and there were flowers sent to the. Mayor's
wife there were news reports That the mayor's reported there
is a rumor the mayor's go. Blah blah it became a.
Huge deal they were owned at. The time they were
on a station owned BY, the cbs and they wound
(01:24:56):
up getting Fired. From worcester to only get HIRED by
Cbs In New york city makes no. Fucking sense They
wanted Opie and anthony to be on the same Station
In New york City k Rock As, howard stern so
it Would be howard in the morning on a in.
The afternoon howard wouldn't. Allow it howard went crazy.
Speaker 4 (01:25:21):
And he.
Speaker 1 (01:25:23):
So they wound up at W, n w which was
an album oriented, rock station very. Old Station, did, howard
ever give a. Reason, why yeah he didn't want them.
Fucking around i'll tell you even. More stuff he didn't
want to be on the same station. As them they
weren't coming into, his house they weren't coming on his
Stick and malcolm and. He was he had that kind.
(01:25:43):
Of power he's making that kind. Of Money so i'm
only drawing a parallel here to, show, you like people
with egos who have built something want to. Protect it
Could the president Of The united states go shut that
fucking guy Up where i'm not approving. This deal it's,
very POSSIBLE or i won't LET. The fcc is?
Speaker 2 (01:25:59):
It?
Speaker 1 (01:25:59):
Possible sure does that mean that their free speech? IS
gone i. Don't know and That's why i'm drawing. This
analogy howard was able to control something because he had
something he wanted. To protect you're the president Of The.
United states you don't want somebody just on a network
yelling about. You constantly if you've got a little bit
of way of shutting.
Speaker 2 (01:26:18):
It Down maybe kimble does the. Same thing, OF course
i think he's a little more Popular. Than, COLBERT yeah
i Don't think.
Speaker 1 (01:26:24):
Gober's, funny well there's many people obviously, Who didn't so
THAT'S where i tend. TO go i think this is
more of a. Money Thing but howard had so much
power that there was an incident involving One of. HOWARD'S
daughters i will not get into too much detail. On
it she ended up in the hospital and a police
(01:26:45):
officer who was there to guard the room or guard
wherever h called Into own a because they had a
Beef with howard when they showed Up In. New york
howard had a show that he was working On called
son Of. A beach it WAS, on fx and he
(01:27:05):
was there for the press conference and all and OH
and a were in, the audience and he refused to
come out until they were. Escorted out and the reason
was and they said they were just there because they
THEY were.
Speaker 2 (01:27:18):
I think that's. BEING hypocritical, i mean you you, got
jockets you didn't have.
Speaker 1 (01:27:24):
Anybody else you needed to protect, your space and you
had the power to.
Speaker 2 (01:27:28):
Do it see one of the, guys said if you
don't GET the, covid shot you should be. Just killed he.
Made something he.
Speaker 1 (01:27:33):
MAY have i don't know a couple he may have. The,
Thing yeah i've just been playing with it. All, day
okay but so he he wouldn't come out for the
press conference until they were escorted out because he didn't
want what he did to people With stuttering john at
press conferences to be done. To him and then, uh
(01:27:54):
no and then well but but again That's why i'm drawing.
The parallel we could say.
Speaker 2 (01:27:58):
Somebody without, the president he the president needs, TO you
i don't know The news i've.
Speaker 1 (01:28:04):
Been and in honor for, this deal this this skyline
or whoever is buying the. Paramount deal it has to
be approved BY, the fcc which is a. Government, agency,
Okay okay so that's why, people, go well maybe this
is why because. It's Weird but, i'm saying if, it
was if, if that if it's not a, financial issue
why are you letting him stay till till his contract Ends?
(01:28:26):
In may that makes. No sense he's going to continue
to rail, against things so why.
Speaker 2 (01:28:31):
And if they, fire him if he's, that popular who
go to? The station bryan, Perfect example SO from tbs
to the tonight's show where nobody, liked him the, readings
dropped and he goes. Somewhere else so now HE'S.
Speaker 1 (01:28:42):
On tbs one of, the, yeah, yeah yeah well it
was part of it Was Because jay lenno started to
show at ten doing pretty Much the tonight show that
he had done it ate INTO the i.
Speaker 2 (01:28:54):
Just think his ratings were. TERRIBLE bad i watched the
First Show will ferrell. Was on he it. Wasn't, FUNNY
yeah i.
Speaker 1 (01:29:00):
DON'T think i think it was More that jay kind
of fucked.
Speaker 2 (01:29:04):
That up that was the that's the, thing anyway so
the uh something else would. Come along.
Speaker 1 (01:29:12):
Howard got that show when when the cop Called In
mel carveron's they cut the showy they without, any warning
they were off. The air they went to a best
of they were called the control booth and go. You're
Out so i'm just saying that is their control from
people with. Big, egos, yep yeah is this. THE case
(01:29:33):
i don't think. IT is i don't think. We, can,
although boy you can connect the dots if you, want to.
That's All But jay leno is saying that things they're,
no bipartisanship you KNOW what. I mean, He, GOES look
i used to do a JOKE and i could get
somebody going tell you And your, he goes. Same joke
somebody writes me saying you and your democratic friends to
(01:29:53):
you and all laugh about this, fuck them and somebody
goes you And your republican friends about the. Same joke
that's what. He's, saying look ja beat, the piss beat
the piss Out Of bill clinton Over The monica lewinsky thing.
For YEARS so, I don't i, don't know but that
seemed to be more of a dick joke down the line.
Speaker 2 (01:30:11):
EVERYBODY joke, i mean it Seems what colbert does is.
PURE hate.
Speaker 1 (01:30:15):
I don't i, haven't WATCHED so.
Speaker 2 (01:30:17):
I don't i. Don't know That's where, i'm saying freedom.
Of speeds we're gonna have freedom. Of speech we're not
going to be but all of, A sudden rochester's, closing
businesses so they Don't have i'm gonna tell, you this
and that's in a, Democratic state so freedom. Of Speaking
Johnny johnny carson, said This and, I'M sorry i interview
to sixty minutes, and like why don't you pick? A
side and, he goes that's not. My job i'm an
(01:30:38):
Entertainer and i'm on the air. Every night and once
you go down, that road you're on a. Slippy.
Speaker 1 (01:30:43):
Road yeah so HERE'S what i was going to say
before you just cut me OFF and i lost.
Speaker 2 (01:30:51):
My trips oh you're playing with your. Dick, laser yeah
it'll come back. To, you, yeah bagripills take your. Eye out.
Speaker 1 (01:31:04):
You can't say freedom of speech is a very weird
thing to say when it comes. To Dollars and i'll, say,
this like you could lose your job if you upset
advertisers for something that, was said and the company, may
(01:31:26):
go you. Gotta go we can't write we're, losing money we're.
Losing speech but that's not freedom of speech because it's.
It's endorsed freedom of speech is basically then get on
a podcast and say whatever the fuck you want, to
say or stand on the corner, with something as long as. You're,
(01:31:47):
speech yes.
Speaker 2 (01:31:47):
Well they didn't have cameras back when they were saying.
Speaker 1 (01:31:49):
That, declaration no but but there is there. Is stuff
but we have to remember we love to.
Speaker 2 (01:31:54):
Get all those guys to sign The declaration independence in
him Just living america for A year tv and boy
they we Should have yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:32:03):
We can, you know well you STILL got, I MEAN
i i think this is still the. Greatest, country, yes
absolutely you, come here you have. An opportunity we could go.
Speaker 2 (01:32:13):
Out find, a cannon get it working and have Our second,
you know freedom to. Bear, arms, well yes if you have,
A neighbor i'm gonna fill up. The cannon he's got
his right. To speech he calls. Me coxsuck. Every day
we're gonna.
Speaker 1 (01:32:26):
See immovable i'm. Not, SAYING look i like to live
in a WORLD where i don't care what. You do
as long as it doesn't hurt, other people especially THE
ones i love and, care ABOUT then i. Don't care
but but but.
Speaker 2 (01:32:42):
That's, FOR that i. Really do you've got it might,
BE right i. Don't know you, Know what here, you
go let's let's. Televise it. Let's start, you know you
legalize drugs for. Tax, money yeah you, have boxing you have.
The octagon m. M a you got two guys that
want to fight on, the street put them in that
that Stadium On. BROAD street i. TELEVISE it i would like,
(01:33:06):
ten dollars. Five, dollars, yeah yeah that would be an
interesting way to.
Speaker 1 (01:33:10):
Make, IT.
Speaker 2 (01:33:12):
Yes, I know.
Speaker 1 (01:33:13):
I came, oh god they would go fucking crazy, that you're,
you know endorsing the violence. And stuff.
Speaker 2 (01:33:19):
Endorsing, violence well but that's believe my freedom? Of speech
uh yeahs everybody.
Speaker 1 (01:33:28):
Has, one, yes well opinions. ARE great i think opinions.
ARE great i think here's what we have to learn.
To do we have to learn to tolerate, other opinions
and we don't NOW because i think social media has
helped us find. Our tribe and this IS where i
think our narcissism shows that will. Only AGREE like i used,
to Say and i've said this for a long. LONG
(01:33:48):
time i couldn't say it on the radio because it was,
coarse language but I'VE or i tried to, soften IT but.
I can't, it, was uh you're, Not wrong you're dead.
Fucking wrong and there's a difference to that, To me
well do you UNDERSTAND what, i? Do BUDDY and i
don't mean it. Like, that hey you don't have to agree,
With me but why do we all of a sudden
(01:34:09):
have to have this. This hatred look at my. Father's
funeral many times you'll go to a funeral and my
dad did want a, church service and you will hear
someone stand up from the church to speak on behalf
of the person in, the box and. They don't you
can tell they don't really. Know him for the brief
period that my dad interacted with, this guy he. Knew
(01:34:30):
him he listened. To him my father went up to
him after he did a sermon On the Sunday after
easter and it was About doubting thomas. And whatever and
my father came up to, HIM says i disagree with
your sermon and. Here's why and he said it was an.
INTERESTING conversation i was very open to listening. To it
but how many people if we take that kind of?
(01:34:51):
Criticism now and my dad could be, VERY like i
think that's part of, The reason like you could kind
of roll with shit because you.
Speaker 2 (01:34:58):
Got a lot of tumbling around, at, Home, right yeah
what's wrong?
Speaker 1 (01:35:02):
With YOU but i think most people can't handle that, Shit.
TODAY doug i. REALLY know i don't think they can.
Handle IT and I and, I go that's where it,
becomes like you're dead. Fucking wrong how? Can you how dare?
You said? Disrespect me who's? Disrespecting you you came up
with a, fucking opinion which by definition is halfway between fact.
And fiction are there some opinions with a little? More? Fact,
(01:35:24):
yes uh but that would be my my. Simple, answer,
yeah sorry you get. ME going i don't. Want, nothing yes,
he did he let me ask? You something to ask.
Me something you just turned FIFTY five. I did do
you think that that makes you a better stand? UP
today i think, it DOES but i want to. Hear, it, yeah,
yeah boy ONLY because i think you care less if
(01:35:48):
it doesn't go? As well does that or does it
still affect like if it didn't, Go well let's say
you want out, one night you fucking killed the, next night,
same jokes, different audience the, vibe different the words aren't landing.
As much. It happens it.
Speaker 2 (01:36:02):
Just HAPPENS but, I wonder, I say i Don't think
i've done enough comedy shows for that competitively to, feel that,
because honestly with my stuff it does. Get laughter and
if it doesn't, smaller, crowds yeah it might seem like
a bomb where it's instead of, three hundred it's, only, thirty.
Speaker 1 (01:36:21):
Right right. Right Right but i'm just wondering if, for
you does it feel like there's less OF a i
don't care. AS much i just it.
Speaker 2 (01:36:30):
All, depends yeah. It does and whether my father's in
the front row, or now well he's he's a.
Speaker 1 (01:36:34):
Big, Supporter, yeah hey will ever tell you the One about.
Speaker 2 (01:36:39):
I've only done one show? This year said? To me or?
Speaker 1 (01:36:42):
You said my dad a Card To. Valentine's day, All
right valentine fall probably with, You Guys, Father's Day. Father's
