Speaker 1 (00:00):
When the Bible first says that the Lamb was slain
from the foundations of the world, it was talking about
Jesus all the way then, and yet we did not
see him born or even on the cross set. Because
eternity is not restricted to time, He didn't have to
wait for time to come in order to manifest. Eternity
is the same yesterday, today, and forevermore. Time was created
(00:25):
by God in the creation. God existed before the first
day was made, So eternity is bigger than time. Time
is just a cosm. Time is just a microcausm of eternity.
Somebody say, man, and from a lofty perspective of theological
understanding of the magnitude of this moment, this is kindaclisming.
(00:50):
Anytime Heaven starts shouting, it's kintaclissming. Anytime the angels start rejoicing.
We ought to be the first ones to give God
pray and honor and glory.
Speaker 2 (01:02):
Anytime the angels.
Speaker 1 (01:03):
Start praising God, we are to outdo them, praising God
because He came to redeem us. Yeah yeah, yeah. They're
shouting over something that they couldn't benefit from. We benefit
from something that we won't shout about. That's why the
Bible said, let the redeem of the Lord say so,
(01:24):
because he came for you when you were in the pit.
He came for you, when you were in trouble. He
came for you. And yet as powerful as his moment was,
it has problems. You must understand that the fact that
you have been empowered does not exempt you from problems.
(01:49):
When we look at it from a divine perspective, we
see the very power of God, the strategy of God,
the strength of God, the inexhaustibility of his wisdom, manifold
wisdom of God, the Ancient of Days, the sovereign God,
the Mighty God. But from a human perspective, this night
(02:11):
has a lot of problems. From heaven standpoint, it was
shouting time. But from Mary's standpoint, it was not a
shouting time. Number One, there was no presidence for it.
(02:33):
Any time God does something for you for which you
have no point of reference is frightening. It's fearful. It's uncertain.
When you can't look back in your life and point
to something that is similar, and all of a sudden
you find yourself in unchartered waters. Is uncomfortable not to
mention the fact it was unorthodox, so you could not
(02:57):
lean on the Hebrew Bible to get present is for
this kind of birth that she had. Can you imagine
going to your rabbi and said, you know, God got
me pregnant.
Speaker 2 (03:07):
The other night.
Speaker 1 (03:10):
Yeah, I've had a few come this search and say
that I had say reaction, you just did.
Speaker 2 (03:16):
So there you are.
Speaker 1 (03:17):
With this without the benefit of sociological support, theological foundation.
Speaker 2 (03:24):
Previous experience.
Speaker 1 (03:26):
You are out there on your own and want to
talk to somebody that God is saying something to you
that you have no presidents for, you have no background for,
you have no support for. You've never seen him do
anything like that in your life before.
Speaker 2 (03:41):
But he said something to you, and you believe it.
Speaker 1 (03:45):
There was no presidents for it. There was number two,
There was no place for it. God had given her
a word and a promise, but not a place. What
do you do when God's given you a word and
a promise and you have no place for it. What
(04:05):
do you do when you know God spoke to you?
You know he appeared to you. You know the Holy
Ghost came upon you and left you with child.
Speaker 2 (04:15):
And the God who was.
Speaker 1 (04:16):
Stopful enough to come upon you and leave you with child,
didn't think of a place for you to stay. Amaze
are the many people in this room and in this
world who are online right now that you've been anointed
for something that there's no place for. You got a
(04:38):
message and there's no place to preach it. You got
a song and there's no place to sing it. You
got a vision, but you don't have a building to
do it in. You got a business in you, but
you don't have a company yet. You've got a book
in you, but you don't have a publisher. Some times
God will give you something that you have no place for.
(05:00):
Am I talking to about it today? Number three?
Speaker 2 (05:03):
There was no presence of angels.
Speaker 1 (05:07):
The angels were making a whole lot of noise when
they announced to her, Hell, Mary, you've been a highly
favored you sabreene forth the son and his name shall
be called Jesus. But by the time she was heavy
with child, riding on a donkey, I would presume, in
the hot Palestinian heat, to give birth to a child
(05:32):
without a physician, there were no angels saying we got
you back.
Speaker 2 (05:39):
Don't worry, girl, Everything's gonna be all right. Sometimes God
gets quiet when you're in his will.
Speaker 1 (05:52):
And in his purpose, and he still says nothing at all.
Sometimes you have to walk by faith and not by
sight and not have the affirmation or the reaffirmation that
the God who said it is still with you, and
you got to keep on walking anyway. Sometimes Heaven gets
(06:15):
quiet while you get nervous. Heaven gets uncomfortable. Heaven gets
uncomfortable to the degree that it does not come to
make you comfortable. It intends for you to have discomfort.
Speaker 2 (06:32):
She was in the wheel, but she was uncomfortable.
Speaker 1 (06:36):
Why do you know that the matter didn't say that
Nobod common sense says that if you're about to have
a baby and you riding on a donkey, Come on, sisters,
back me up. If you ever been pregnant, would you
like to take a ride into Bethlehem on a donkey? Yeah,
saddle a st strap leg on a donkey traveling down
(06:58):
the road, and all of us, and you find yourself
in a situation where you are completely.
Speaker 2 (07:06):
Uncomfortable.
Speaker 1 (07:08):
I want you to understand, in this age and error,
where our comfort has become so important, that there are
times in life that God doesn't care that you're not comfortable.
Speaker 2 (07:21):
Oh God, No, God cares, Yeah, he cares about his purpose.
He cares about his will, he cares about his destiny.
Speaker 1 (07:31):
But God doesn't always care about your comfort. Being in
the will of God will make you uncomfortable if you
don't believe it. Ask Jesus about the cross. So there
was no presidence for it. There was no place for it.
There was no presidence of angels. And number four, there
(07:52):
was no plan for it. She didn't know that she
was going to give birth to that baby in Bethlehem,
the region that she came into. She is not going
there to have a baby. They are going from Jerusalem,
(08:13):
beth Salda to to to Bethlehem to birth to pay taxes.
It was a quick trick that was necessary to pay
homage or to pay taxes. Because Joseph was from the
city of David. She did not get on that beast
(08:34):
saying I'm gonna have this baby. She comes into the region.
It appears that the birth of Jesus wasn't planned to
occur in Bethlehem by Joseph. He went there simply to
handle some business. King James Versus says it was to
pay taxes. N Ivy says it was it was. It
(08:56):
was the word used for tax could be interpreted to registers,
whether they're registering their marriage or they're registering because they're
from town. There was some sort of decree that required
an immediate trip, and they were traveling pregnant. I want
to talk to some people that are traveling pregnant. You're
(09:19):
traveling pregnant. You're traveling with something inside of you that
hadn't come out yet. You're traveling with this comfort, you're
traveling with dis ease. You're moving forward, but there's something
down inside of you that's waiting you down. They were
traveling pregnant. Everybody had to go pay taxes, but they
were traveling pregnant. The difference that setting them apart from
(09:42):
other people is that they were traveling pregnant and they
had no plan that this wouldn't be the trip.
Speaker 2 (09:50):
That took them over the edge.
Speaker 1 (09:53):
They had no plan that this would be the trip
where her water broke.
Speaker 2 (09:57):
They had no plan that this.
Speaker 1 (09:59):
Would be the trip where she became so heavy with
child that she went into labor and gave birth to
a child in Bethlehem. They had no plan for it.
They had no idea that this was the moment. This
incidentally Bethlehem in the New Testament is often referred as
(10:22):
Efrata in the Old Testament, and in the Old Testament
when it's referred to as Efrata, Rachel died giving birth
on the way to Ephrata.
Speaker 2 (10:33):
This is not a nice easy trip.
Speaker 1 (10:36):
Rachel went into labor and had Menona, son of my Sorrows.
Speaker 2 (10:41):
And died just outside Bethlehem.
Speaker 1 (10:47):
May be, God kepper outside of Bethlehem so that she
wouldn't fool her out and think that she was having
the Messiah, and said, I gotta stop you before you
get in.
Speaker 2 (10:58):
But she died the load Chatau.
Speaker 1 (11:02):
Shee died a little ways outside of Afrital, almost there.
And God said, this is not the one that I
want to be born in Bethlehem.
Speaker 2 (11:18):
No no, no, no, no no.
Speaker 1 (11:20):
There is one coming that's going to be born in
bethlehand that will.
Speaker 2 (11:25):
Be King of Kings.
Speaker 1 (11:27):
You're pregnant with a king, but I'm going to produce
a King of kings. And a Lord of Lord said
he's going to be born in Bethlahan. So whatever you're
going to have, you're gonna have to have it on
your way, on your way. But what they are like
is neither one of them expected for their wanter to
(11:48):
break and for them to dilate non centimeters and give.
Speaker 2 (11:52):
Bath on the road. What do you do when what
you're carrying and breaks.
Speaker 1 (12:01):
Forth before you're ready?
Speaker 2 (12:04):
How did you know.
Speaker 1 (12:08):
What you thought would happened in twenty twenty two happens
in twenty twenty one. What you do when you lose
control of the promise and it happens when it happens.
Speaker 2 (12:21):
And you gotta adjust to what you've got to adjust to?
What do you do? What do you do when God
has a plan but you don't? You know?
Speaker 1 (12:39):
God did not promise to let you in on his plan.
He allows you to walk in the dark. God knew
she was gonna have that baby in bethla Ham. It
was pophesied that he would be born in bethla Hair.
God knew she was gonna go in the laird, but
Marry didn't know. Joseph didn't know. He had no plan,
(13:06):
he had no place to stay, he had no presence
of angels. Joseph didn't know what to do because the
thing broke loose quicker than he thought. I want to
take him innute and talk to somebody. What God has
been talking to you about is gonna break loose quicker
(13:27):
than you think. What God has been speaking to you
about over the last three months is gonna break loose
sooner than you think what God has put in your spirit.
You think it's gonna break loose. At the end of
twenty two, God said it's gonna break loose sooner than
you think.
Speaker 2 (13:43):
Oh, if I was preaching.
Speaker 1 (13:45):
Years ago, I'd holler, get ready, get ready, get ready,
get ready, get ready, get ready, get ready, get ready,
get ready, get ready, get ready, get ready, get ready,
get ready, get ready, get ready, get ready, get ready.
Speaker 2 (13:55):
Your time schedule is not God's time. How wide a
broke on a down kid?
Speaker 1 (14:13):
What an inconvenient place to go into the labor.
Speaker 2 (14:20):
What a filthy place?
Speaker 1 (14:24):
Who wants to have a sanctified baby in a desecrated place?
And the heat is on for Joseph to make an
emergency decision, an emergency decision because it appears that Mary
(14:44):
is going to have her baby in the same place
that Ruth had obed. And Joseph is a descendant of
King David, and oh bed it's David's great great grandfather,
(15:05):
and it seems like it's happening again, only it is
not Ruth this time it's Mary.
Speaker 2 (15:15):
And she's pregnant.
Speaker 1 (15:17):
I had a plan to pay taxes, not nurse babies.
Speaker 2 (15:24):
But it happens when it happens. Ahh What I.
Speaker 1 (15:29):
Just said right there is worth the whole sermon. It
happens when it happens. It happens when it happens, ready
or not, It happens when it happens. It happens when
it happens. You gotta get ready because it happens. When
it happens. You gotta stop living in the moment and
get ready for the unexpected because it happens when it happens.
You gotta stop spinning up to the limit and get
(15:52):
some reserve because what God's gonna do is gonna happen
when this happens, and when it happens, you gotta be
ready for it. It happens when I don't know who
I'm talking to, but I'm talking to somebody. Write this down.
It happens when it happens. You can't live like you
ain't pregnant. You can't live like you're not expecting something.
When you expecting something, you gotta have enough stuff in
(16:14):
your bag to get you through in a pinch, because
it bad.
Speaker 2 (16:21):
When it happens. It happened, and all of a sudden
in the night, in the night, in the night, preaching this.
Speaker 1 (16:37):
Now, you don't get it because we live with electricity.
Jesus never saw a light bulb. He never saw a lamp.
He never saw a light bulb or lamp in the
traditional sense that we do. There were no street lights.
It happens in the dark. In the dark, God brings
(17:02):
the light of the world into the world.
Speaker 2 (17:08):
In the dark.
Speaker 1 (17:13):
He displays him like a diamond on black velvetst.
Speaker 2 (17:18):
I gets some blackest of nights.
Speaker 1 (17:22):
God brings in the light of the world, and in
the darkness of night, with every door he's knocked on clothes. Oh,
I wish I had time. If I had time, I'd
talked to some frustrated men. Everything you knock on is
not working. Everything you tried is not working. Every time
(17:43):
you knock on the door, they shut the door in
your face. And it's a crisis, and it's an emergency,
and you're worried about your family, and you're worried about yourself,
And I want you to know you're not alone. The
Bible does not hide the frustration of a man who's
trying to find an open door, and door after door
after door after door is shut in his face. Out
(18:07):
of it some dignus of night, the baby says, I
won't wait any longer.
Speaker 2 (18:16):
And all he sees.
Speaker 1 (18:19):
Is a barn over yonder, across the field, and in
the night
Speaker 2 (18:29):
He makes his way
