Amazing to be back here with you, listen. I love

You're excited, you're fired up, and you should be. You
(00:20):

call for great and amazing things. And I'm so glad
to be with you on this journey. And I'm so
excited for all the amazing things that God's gonna do
in you and through you. Because you're called, you're chosen.
There's greatness on you, and it's wonderful to be here
with you again for today's episode. First of all, if
(00:42):
this is your first time to the Call podcast, Welcome, Welcome, Welcome.
I guarantee you it will not be your last. I
believe this is going to be one of your favorite
places to receive information, revelation, strategy, insight, and sometimes just
a small and slight tweak that will change your life.
I'm excited. If you haven't done it already, subscribes so
(01:03):
that you know every time a new episode has hit
your feed. Now let's get into it. You know, we've
been talking about the self management series. That's what we've
been on right now. We've been on the management of self.
And one of the reasons why I thought that self
management will be a great topic to start this year
off with is because as you get better, everything in
(01:24):
your life gets better. Your business gets better, your relationships
get better and more healthier, your health literally gets better,
your money gets better, everything around you, your sense of
fulfillment gets better as you get better. Don't you think
for a second that you can not prosper and the
things that you want to prosper in life will. It
(01:44):
doesn't work that way. In fact, there's that promise that
God says in his word for I know the plans
I have for you, plans to prosper you and not
to harm you, to give you a future and a hope.
So you've got to prioritize you. You have to prioritize
self in order to realize what God has in store
for you. And so let's get into it today. We've
been talking about a lot of things. We've been talking
(02:06):
about setting goals, We've been talking about time management and
so many other things, vision and just amazing things. But today,
I want to talk about something that if you don't
get this figured out, If you don't get this worked out,
you're going to always remain on the wheel, desiring, hoping,
wishing that you will have progress. This thing is important.
(02:30):
This is a deal breaker. I believe that this separates
the great from the ordinary, the weak from the strong,
those who will realize the promise, and those who will
sit on the sideline scratching their head trying to figure
out why it never happens for them, but it always
happens for others. This one is important. And what I
want to talk about today is consistency. Consistency. And before
(02:53):
we kick this thing off, I want you to add
this to your I am statement, to your identity statement.
I want you to add I am consistent to your
I am statement. It's everything, because if you don't tell
yourself that you are consistent every single day, I guarantee
you there's something that will come and attempt to disrupt
you from being the consistent person that you need to be.
(03:16):
Because consistency, it's everything. I want to talk about this. Oh,
I'm so excited about this. This is going to bless you. Consistency,
First of all, builds trust. That's right. You are the
first beneficiary of your consistency, because if you're like me,
(03:39):
and if you're like ninety percent of the world, consistency
is something that until you really master it, it's something
that you're always praying about becoming. You've heard it, you know.
I bet that there's some area in your life right
now that you're saying, Man, I just wish I was
more consistent in this area. It's almost as if we
know that if we can get consistent in this particular area,
(04:03):
then it would change our lives. There is a deep knowing,
a deep unction on the inside of us that knows
that consistency is the ticket. We start and then we stop.
And oftentimes what happens in starting and stopping is just
as we are ramping up the momentum, just as we
are ramping up the velocity the rhythm that it takes
(04:27):
to break through and to get to the next dimension,
we fall off. Isn't it crazy? That's how it happens.
And I'll tell you what. If I were a force
that was opposing your breakthrough and a force that was
opposing you getting to the next level, you being a
person of breakthrough and impact in the areas that matter
the most. I would make you fall off the wagon.
(04:50):
I would make you stumble right at the point where
you're gonna kick into this trait, this character trait of
the great called consistency. So we're gonna deal with it today.
We're gonna talk about it, we're gonna get into it,
we're gonna understand it, and I believe that we're gonna
come out of this podcast equipped with the tools to
become the consistent being that we're called to be. You
(05:14):
are the first beneficiary of being consistent because it builds trust.
Let's talk about that for a second. First of all,
it builds self trust. When you know that you've got
what it takes not just to come up with an
idea or not just to start a thing, but to
finish a thing, you see yourself as a different type
(05:34):
of person. I feel that right there. You see yourself
as the type of person that gets stuff done. Sometimes
the biggest enemy to self is self, because self oftentimes
will go back and pull your history, your history of
starting and stopping, and that will speak to you in
(05:56):
a moment where you make up your mind that you're
gonna do something, and there's a voice in the back
of your head, and that voice is saying, now, you know,
you know, you start stuff, but you don't finish it.
And unfortunately, you know, there's a little bit of truth
in it. Now Here is the thing. There's a little
bit of truth, but there's also a little bit of lie.
Because there's never never, it's never too late to start
(06:18):
something new. It's never too late to be a different person.
So what your history of inconsistency is doing is is
trying to make you think that you can't change. And
the beautiful thing about being a human being, and the
beautiful thing about having this thing called breath in your
lungs is it means that you have the power and
the ability and the opportunity to change. But oftentimes you
(06:41):
don't have a track record of winning. You don't have
a track record of being consistent to help you fight
off that live that says you're not going to change
and you're the same person that started and stopped. So
I have got to become consistent. For me, I have
to become a consistent person so that I can fight
back when that negative, self deprecating thought that says that
(07:04):
I am a quitter comes into being and so that's
going to happen today. It builds trust within self, it
also builds trust outside of you. You know, you know,
I planted the movement in La called One, and I
planted that movement in two thousand and four. And I
planted that movement at a time where people were starting
(07:24):
ministries in Hollywood and they were coming and they were gone.
They were literally popping up, you know, almost every other
month and leaving just as fast. And sometimes it's the
person that's there. It's the person that that weather's the storm.
It's the person that that weather's the season. And I
feel this is prophetic for somebody. You're in this place
where you've been at something for a long time and
(07:46):
you haven't seen watch this. The success that you envision
sometimes just maintain is is success. But you've had a
grander idea of success. You've put the idea of the
notion of success on some great outcome. That great outcome
might be some revenue goal. That great outcome might be
(08:07):
some you know, influential goal. Maybe it's followers or number
of customers or or something some area of prominence. And
what I really sense the Spirit is saying to you
today is for you to not be weary in your
well doing. Sometimes success is just staying in the game.
Because if you stay in the game and you show
(08:28):
yourself consistent, trust me, you, somebody out there is watching.
I feel it. You maintaining visibility. You know, visibility is credibility.
Sometimes your consumer will goal with you because they've seen
you longer. There's something about staying in the game and
being consistent and weathering all seasons. Watch this that gives
(08:53):
you credibility, and it gives you equity where it matters
the most. I believe for some of you, and I'm
trying to artick this, we've got points to discuss. But
some of you, what you don't realize is the fact
that you never quit. The fact that it didn't look
like what you thought it should look like, and instead
of scrapping the plans and running away, you stuck with it.
(09:14):
You were Let's make it. Bring out a biblical term.
You were faithful over a little and the time has
come where life, where God is going to make you
a ruler over much. If that's your word, just catch it,
just receive it. Write this down. I'm giving you practical,
but that's spiritual for you. You've been faithful over a little,
and sometimes it takes a while to prove to yourself,
(09:37):
to prove to others, maybe even to prove to God
that you know how to be faithful over a little.
I say it all the time, and it's worthy of
saying it right now. The big is always in how
you manage the little. Let's say it again. Your big
is always in how you manage the little. If you
(09:57):
will be promoted because of the way that you manage
the little, that means that the big is actually in
your little. Stop thinking so big. You'll never hear anybody
who's coaching you or motivating you or pushing you forward
to say those words. But I want you to hear
me right now. Stop thinking so big all the time.
Think about the small, because your big is in your small.
(10:22):
If you can manage that small like it was big,
If you can manage that small excellently and with consistency
and maintaining the vision and the focus and being consistent
with that little, you will look up and that little
will promote you into big things. Are you hearing with me?
If you're tracking with me, say I'm tracking with you.
(10:42):
Pt go ahead and say it. I can hear you
come on, go ahead and say it. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
yeah yeah. Consistency builds trust. The universe itself rewards consistency.
And when I say the universe, I'm talking about that
which God has created and setting motion to bless, to
prom to reward those who are faithful. The universe itself
(11:03):
rewards consistency. Why because the universe itself exists inconsistency. See
time and harvest, day and night, the ocean coming up
and then going back right, the stars coming out cycles
cycles of consistency. So we have to then be consistent. Now,
let's talk about some of the consistent sea killers. Right.
(11:28):
One of the main consistency killer is distraction. I'll tell
you right now it is distraction. Everything gets thrown at us.
We forget that this is what we are called to do.
Life will come at us, and next thing, you know,
we will look up and we will be distracted. And
you know, the crazy thing about distraction is you never
realize that you're distracted until after you have been distracted.
(11:52):
Distraction doesn't come and introduce itself and say, hey, I'm
getting ready to distract her. You better watch out for me.
That never happens, right, Distraction just shows up. The next thing,
you know, you're waking up out of some sort of
slumber of the lack of focus because distraction actually had
its way. So what is the antidote for distraction? It's
(12:13):
simple focus. That's why I talk about having your identity statement.
That's why I talk about having the vision in front
of you all the time. Why what does that do?
It helps to keep you focus right. And as it
relates to being consistent about something that some goal or
something that has been set before you, you have to
get to a place of what I like to call
(12:34):
locking in right. You got to lock in once you
know that something is the thing. Hm, I feel it
right there? What once you have have confirmed and it's
validated in your spirit, your heart, and your mind that
this is the thing. There have been confirmations, There have
been serendipitous moments that have let you, have caused you
(12:56):
to know and to believe that this is the direction
that you're supposed to go in, that this is the
thing that you're supposed to do. You have got to
learn to lock in, and I mean lock in. Yes,
distraction is gonna come. Yes, you know. Another consistency killer
is doubt. Yes, doubt is gonna come. But when you
are locked in, it produces a level of fight and
(13:18):
commitment where you lock in and you say, I don't
care how I'm feeling today. I don't care what they're
saying today. I don't care about the news that has
come my way about this. Yes, those things may be true,
but I am locked in. I'm locked in, and I'm
gonna be consistent until I see this thing through, until
(13:42):
I see that this thing has come to pass. Are
you hearing the words that are coming out of my mouth?
Because I've learned as it relates to consistency, As it
relates to consistency, there is always this juncture, this moment
of decision. There's always this place. It's it's this juncture
(14:04):
between stopping in progress. It's this juncture between procrastination and production.
There's always this this moment, this juncture, and it's this
juncture that that becomes this fierce battleground. And it's a
fierce battleground primarily of excuses, right, every reason that you
(14:28):
can think of of not being consistent, every reason that
you can think of not moving forward, and it is an.
Speaker 2 (14:35):
All out war, this crazy juncture, and and everything that
is anti you is is against you in that moment,
and it wants you to break your rhythm.
Speaker 1 (14:49):
It wants you to stop. It wants you to to
not work out, It wants you to not right your
your your daily thing, whatever your portion is in the
book that you're riding. It wants you to not take
that meeting or to go the extra mile and call
that person who hasn't called you back yet. And it
wants you to not be tenacious. And the moment that
(15:13):
you break that rhythm, you're in trouble. But you have
to learn. See, this is where the average people stop
and great people kick in. This is when you make
a decision. You make a decision in the heat of
the battle. No, you know what, I Am going to
be consistent. And once you lock in and once you
make up your mind, and once you win that war,
(15:35):
that war that's trying to pull you into indecision, that
war that's trying to pull you in in action. Once
you win that war, man, something happens in you and
all of a sudden it's gone, and your consistency kicks
back in and your train starts moving. But you have
to learn to fight that battle and win that war,
right there that war, that juncture. I'm trying to give
(15:57):
it an identity. I'm trying to give it because we
are all face it. It's that moment where, man, we
can choose to go or to stop. And maybe we're
discouraged about something, or maybe we're disappointed about something, and
all the excuses are so loud, and the doubt is
so loud, and the discouragement is so loud. And that
(16:18):
is the moment where if you will allow the spirit
of consistency to kick in, because you have defined yourself,
you have told yourself every single day, I am consistent,
You're gonna get a breakthrough in that moment. And I'm
telling you that which is on the other side of
that thrust, and that breakthrough is gonna not only change
(16:41):
your circumstances, but it's gonna change you. Are you hearing
the words that are coming out of my mouth. You
gotta win at that juncture. Have you ever been that juncture?
Maybe you at that juncture right now where man, you
w on a roll, you know, and here we are
it's the second month of the year, and maybe you
(17:02):
feel like sometimes it's not quitting, but not going after
it the way that you once were or maybe new
ideas right. Sometimes what will kill a great idea is
three other good ideas competing for that great idea. No,
I want to push you this February. I want to
push you in this Black History Month to be consistent.
(17:26):
I think it's interesting that it's Black History Month and
I'm talking about consistency at the top of this month.
If you think about the exploits and what black people,
African Americans in particular, have been able to accomplish, it's
because they remain consistent in uncertain times. They remain consistent
(17:49):
when everything said, Why be consistent? Why continue to stand
up for your rights? Why continue to believe in dream
of a better reality? But what did we do? We persevered?
We pressed in, We locked in against the opposition, against
a million excuses and the million reasons why maybe things
(18:10):
would be easier if we just acquiesce to what was now.
I believe it's almost prophetic. It's a line that we're
embracing the mentality of being consistent in a time where
we're celebrating the evidence of the fruits and the rewards
of being consistent. Are you hearing the words that are
coming out of my mouth? I mentioned that consistency builds trust.
(18:34):
There's somebody watching you right now. There's somebody watching how
you handle fulfilling your word as somebody who's watching. If
you're the type of person who starts something and finishes,
or if you're the type of person that starts something
and then falls off and then starts something new, there's
somebody watching. There's an investor watching you, somebody who will
(18:55):
potentially be an investor, and they want to know if
they can trust you with their resources. Are you going
to be the type of person that will take their
resources and stop with the going it's difficult? Or can
they trust that you will fight with their resources, that
you will fight with their influence, that you will fight
with their opportunity and be consistent until you see victory.
(19:16):
Our family, It's all about consistency. I think that in
order to be consistent, you have to become a fanatic.
I said it, a fanatic. What do I mean by fanatic?
A fanatic? A fanatic? I think that you need to
be the biggest fan of yourself and the biggest fan
of your vision. In order to become a consistent person,
(19:37):
you have to believe in the vision. You've got to
believe in yourself so much so that you are a fanatic.
It's not about other people being fans of yours. You
have to be a fan of yourself first. And when
you are a fan of yourself, and you believe in yourself,
and you won't take no for an answer, and when
you take a licking, you keep on ticking. When you
(19:58):
hear a no, you shake that thing off and keep
on knocking looking for a yes. People believe it or not.
People are looking for those who believe in their vision.
In that way, why would I believe in your vision
to the extent that I invest in your vision if
you don't because you're not consistent. No, somebody's watching, somebody's
(20:20):
watching how you fight, and I feel like somebody who's
listening to me right now. You have an opportunity to
be consistent. You have an opportunity to prove that you
believe in what you've put out there. That's why I
had you do your im statements right. Not only did
I want to see it and believe and they're still
(20:41):
coming in and we pray over all of them, but
I did it because I want you to begin to
hold yourself accountable to who you are knowing as the
scripture said that he who has begun a good work
in you is going to finish it until the day
of Christ. Here's another thing that I believe will help
you to be consistent, and this has to do with
the people that are around you. It's your fellowship. There
(21:04):
are certain circles that will stimulate consistency to what you
have started, and there are certain circles that will allow
you to be mediocre. I want you to make certain
that your environment, your human environment, your human environment, supports
your desire to be consistent. And sometimes, I'll tell you
right now, sometimes your best friends are going to be
(21:25):
authors that you have never met. In certain seasons, in
order to become who you need to become, you are
going to have to make friends with people you have
never met but have put their wisdom and their fellowship
quite frankly, in books, and these people are going to
be your new best friends. It is very much the
(21:46):
case that oftentimes when God is developing a greater You,
he has to pull you out of circumstances that cultivated
and created the former You. When God was speaking to Abraham,
he told Abraham, now I'm going to do great things.
I'm going to make your name great. You're gonna be
a different person. But what you're gonna have to do
is you're gonna have to get out of your father's
house and out of your country and out of your
kinfolk to a land that I will show you. And
(22:09):
sometimes you're going to have to get nice and cozy
with the book, nice and cozy with an author, nice
and cozy with a podcast, nice and cozy with maybe
newer relationships. Maybe you don't have the history with these people,
but for some reason, God and life has allowed your
(22:30):
paths to cross. And you know, I'm not saying bug people,
I'm not saying that. But there's a proverb that says
that if you want to have friends, you've got to
be friendly. And so sometimes you have to readjust your
social circle and your social setting in order to be
around the type of people and in the type of
(22:52):
company and environment that will cultivate your consistency and so family.
As we wrap up today podcast, one thing I want
you to do is I want you to write down,
if you don't have it there, I want you to
write down in your identity statement, I am consistent, I
get stuff done, I am a finisher and I believe
(23:15):
that the discipline of consistency is gonna be yours. Consistency
is the evidence of maturity, and it is the pathway
to mastery. You are not a master. You will never
be a master until you can learn to be consistent.
I love you. I pray this message bless you. If
(23:35):
it did, I want you to pass it along. I
want you to send this to somebody, rate it, review it, subscribe,
get with it. Also want to remind you about call
to Illuminate in Los Angeles, May seventeenth and eighteenth, a
two day intensive that I believe is going to bless you.
People are purchasing their seats. Seats are going, they're moving quickly. Daily,
people are getting their seats. I want to make sure
(23:57):
that you have a seat. You can go to call
leaders dot com. There's an early bird special. Don't procrastinate,
be consistent, Come on somebody, be consistent, be excellent, get
your seat. I want to see you there and I
love you, God bless you. I can't wait to be
with you next week. Remember, family, you are not random.
You are called love you child.
