I love the oftense. Scored a lot of points.

You know, Cammeller just keeps doing cam Miller's off, which
become so accustomed to that sometimes just kind of don't
appreciate as much as you should. I think Brayln Henderson
had a good game, obviously. I think he'd like to
get that one back he dropped in the first quarter,
but made up for it later in the game with
a big catch. And then you know, defensively, I thought
we got some turnovers.

Was good. Logan cop played really well.

But yeah, I say, I'll stay just on the good side. Yeah,
there's a lot to pass.

You had to pause there, I had to pause, mister positivity,

Jackson Williams, that was I mean, it's too much to say,
but that might have been a kick return to save
the game.

three to start the and there were mouths that were
wide open all over the Fargo Dome, and that seemed
like it energized not only the crowd, but it energized
the team. You could see that. And I don't know
what it was a two week layoff with Thanksgiving. I

don't know what it became. You would more than that
of what that two week break is like.

I can play if you have that.

slow motion, just feet in the cement, just trodden through

sell tickets. I said, this team scares me more than

either Mercer or Rhode Island getting into the next round.
Like at this point, I'm like, bring on SDSU because
this was a game an unknown team from an unknown
conference with really you know, nothing to.

Lose, right, good quarterback obviously we saw that exactly.

Like he was a Walter Payton finalist guy twenty nine
and five on the year for touchdowns and interceptions. Dude
can throw the ball stud wide receivers. Today they ran
the ball better than I thought they would. So hats
off to uh Abilene Christian They they played well today,
well for a half.

Yeah, on paper, coming in they were a balanced team.
They had a thousand yard rusher coming in as well.
You mentioned the two receivers they got. I believe both
receivers now over one thousand yards. They did get both
receivers over a thousand yards on the season. They they
gave NDSU everything they could handle, for sure. So all right,

at the we you know, we talked about the flow start,

but if they put up the stats after a halftime,
I believe it was we had scored a total of
three touchdowns with only uh let's see, let me remain,
let me refocus here, we had three.

battle to like make a decision this way to protect myself.
But you know, those quarterbacks, they always think they're the
best athletes in the world. So it's kind of funny
to see them go out there and try to tackle
someone every once in a while, like, oh it's easy,

Go for the middle of the leg there and hope
for the best.

You know. And and the other point that icon made
it with getting Camm so many and the Bison so
many scoring plays so quickly. That is a senior quarterback,
especially you get to the back end of a half.
That makes it so much easier when you have that poise.
You have that steady leadership knowing what his guys can do.

I'm Jake Landry can trust Cam with those situations. You know,
you see you get later in a half and you're
gonna be pushing the ball down the field. With a
lot of younger quarterbacks that kind of sometimes the leashes
is long, so to say so the coordinator's coaches don't
trust them with Cam Miller. I mean, Paul second Lander,
like you have the entire offense at any point in
the game, doesn't matter if we're up by fifty, down

by fifty, just let Cam go.

So I think that just shows you know, you're able
to do some stuff and ends.

Of halfs Yeah, and you want to see him take
care of himself. I think that quarterback run has been
dialed back intentionally. And I think you know, I like
Nathan Hayes. I don't want to see Nathan Hayes until Yeah.
I don't need to see him playing any meaningful snaps.
Not that I don't love the guy, but I think
I'd rather have number seven out there for the rest.

throughout the years is every once in a while, the
defense has a bad game, the offense has a bad game,

the special teams has a bad game, and the other
two units picked them up, and we get the win,
and the win is all the matters, as ugly as
it can be. Sometimes a see on defense, this might
have been some of the best field players. We're gonna see.
We're gonna see they're the faster, skilled players. Then we'll

see if chak hold against South Dakota State or against
Montana State in the championship. So I don't necessarily appreciate
the see the guys did what they needed to do.
They bent, but they didn't break. But the offense was
prolific and putting up fifty one even after a little

bit of a slow start, I'm really happy with and
I wins a win, and that's all that matters right now.
And that's my statement on it on today's game.

you know, some of the mistackles and not for lack
of effort, of mistackles, just playmakers, like you know, in space,
you just don't have a lot of the in space
playing in the Missouri Valley, No, you know what I mean,
like exactly, And so when you're you know, running full
speed and you got playmakers, they're gonna make one Juken

come from the direction you just came from and run
right past you and make it look foolish.

Yeah, And that's one thing, you know, like you said,
some of those playmates you talk about Texas speed or whatever,
they Southern speed.

Yeah, but uh well that's definitely gonna be I think
Logan Cop kind of mentioned it in his postgame interview
with Noah that they didn't tackle all the day. They
know that there's definitely some big plays that happened because
you know bad angles bad cup, which is don't give
up the cop, don't give up the cup, yep. But
you know in a game like this where the offense
like it's not gonna kill you, now, you do that

and maybe we'll get in the mercer later, but not
even mercery, the game after mercer. Okay, now we're talking
that this could be a season ending mistake when you
start making some of those mistakes out there.

You're taking on your block, just trying to stay in
your gap, and the three linebackers and then normally a
strong safety that will roll down kind of, they're the
ones through the scheme of the defense that are probably
I mean, obviously it's good to have defense line and
make tackles for losses and stuff, but the linebackers are
the ones that kind of at the end of the day,
they're the ones supposed to make all the tackles.

I don't think we got outmanned or anything.

I just think, you know, there's a couple of fits
that we missed that you know, led to a ninety
yard touchdown on some big runs that just need to
get you know, short up and like we were talking earlier,

a season, right a little bit in a different game.

Yeah, as far as yeah, d lineman on the running
game are there to take up space exactly, take up blockers,
don't let the blockers get to the next level. Let
those players in the next level make the plays, and
then when it's time to get after the quarterback, which
INDUSU was not doing today for a portion of the game,
but then obviously cop with the huge play, a big
momentum play there as well. So you know, defensive linemen, linebackers,

game is working on fundamentals of you know what I'm saying,
Like you're worried so much about your ski, what your
plan is, what how much of the fundamental if you would,
gets brought up on a weekly basis. You know, it's
tough for the technique.

Yeah, it's tough to slate in the season because you
know everyone's kind of banged up too, so you want
to kind of limit as much physical contact and practice
as you can.

Not So, like right now, not a whole lot like
fall camp.

Begin in the season, you sure do tackling circuits and
like it's kind of it's put a.

Premium more on it in the season.

But I think, you know, I'm sure the coaches are
gonna watch it tomorrow morning.

And that might be a thing they're gonna have to
visit this week again.

Maybe they're gonna have to, you know, have a little
bit more of a physical Tuesday and Wednesday to just
kind of get like, hey, like we didn't tackle good,
we gotta fix that.

And it was it was a different kind of back
because we certainly saw some of this against South Dakota,
but Tys was just a monster.

Yeah.

I mean he's just an absolute bruiser coming right down
a lot of shifty guys. It wasn't even just the
running backs. They'd run those bubble screens anytime they liked
the matchups and the numbers that they had on the outside.
A lot of times it was the second or third
guy that was having to come in and make the play.

Yeah, just you know, sometimes it's kind of, you know,
everything compiles it a snowball effect, but you know, one
guy doesn't have good leverage and then the next guy
misses the tackle right, so the next play down you're
kind of second guessing is that guy gonna be in
the right spots? Then you're playing on steps slow, and
then you just don't get there because you're playing slow.
There's a bunch of things that kind of happened. But
I trust Goo and Coach Gainser, and you know, Coach

paulis like, even though he decided not to go for
the cover at the end of.

The game, so I don't know what they're talking about,
but I'll go with it. And also too, the offensive
players start to realize they've got you on roller skates
exactly right, and they know that if I can make
one extra move that you're not expecting, that that could
bust it open and get one of those mistackles turns
into two or three mistackles, which turns into extra ten,

fifteen to twenty yards.

Sometimes Yeah and yeah, like you said, snowball is the
perfect way NDSU in the middle of the game, though
thankfully able to get that under control. You look at
NDSU combined in the second and third quarters outscored Aveline
Christian thirty eight to ten. In that in that middle
part of the game, that's hard to come back from.
Even when you spot yourself a bit of a lead,
that's a long ways to go.

Yeah, And that's one thing you'll hear a lot of
coaches talk about is winning the middle eight the last
four minutes of the first half, the first four minutes.

The second half is where a lot of games are
won and loss.

a good job of that this week.

And you know that's something you know, it's stressed a lot.

four minutes of the first half, really good to start

that knowing that Abilene Christian is getting the ball to
