the season, and the Bison have jumped to a two
score advantage sixteen to seven early in this third quarter.

(04:53):
It's all Bison football, rain or shine this time of
year and tonight and today it was a little bit
more rain than shine. How long weather delay would not
stop the Bison as they go on to win thirty
eight to seven today against Indiana State and they take
down the Sycamores to improve to seven and oh on
the season. Welcome on into Bison Hotline Live. You're with

(05:15):
you at Applebee's North Fargo location just north of the
Fargo Dome. Nice crowd already out here on hand to
take on the rest or take in the rest of
the games here on the college football slate in October,
but also to listen to a dominant to postgame show.
It's going to be very very quick, probably today because
we had a two hour weather delay and we've got
some spots to clear on the old radio side of things.

Speaker 7 (05:37):
Andy rick Off, you're with you. Lukewortz joining me as well, Luke,
that was certainly an interesting game today. The Bison get
to win thirty eight to seven. It's a dominant score,
especially in the second half. They actually went under score
thirty eight unanswered in this game along weather delay thrown
in there, a scary injury that will update you on
as well. But all things in all, Bison get a

(05:59):
win by thirty one points today.

Speaker 14 (06:00):
Yeah, to start the second half of the season, the
Bison have another dominant second half, some something that we've
come accustomed to. But this next week they're gonna have
to have a good first half as well.

Speaker 7 (06:10):
Yes, definitely something we're gonna be talking about. Maybe slow starts,
the thing, sleepy out there, what it's like playing out
in Tara hate along weather delay, to go through all
of that stuff, But the Bison do get to win
thirty eight to seven. We're here with you at Applebee's.
Stop on out here. We've got tickets to give away
to the NDSU Youngstown State game. Come over in the
Bar area. Can sign up for those ones. Also, we've
got yard signs, put those in your yard. We've got

And yus who wins at thirty eight seven? Yes, but
only up ten seven at the halftime break. Had a
turnover in that first half a little bit slow to start.

(07:16):
I know, we'll have some questions on that. Also, some
positives though that take away from this game, especially in
half number two. We saw a lot of the backups
get in there, some of the younger players for the
Bison that will be relied upon in the future as well,
and some very interesting scores across the valley and the FCS.
We will make sure to update you on all of
that throughout the program here this evening. Before you get

Speaker 7 (12:34):
Touchdown Bison.

Speaker 13 (12:36):
Truman Wormire as his first career touchdown, and he's got
a Bison answer. Peyton to Wermire three yard touchdown at
ATDSU hits right back. It's seven to six with thirteen
thirty eight remaining of the half.

Speaker 7 (12:54):
Big time touchdown right there for Indy issues. Truman Wermeire
finds the end zone for the first time in his
career and it was the first score for the game
for NDSU. Tied that game back up at seven apiece.
They'd go on to win thirty eight to seven a
day against Indiana State and improve to seven and zero
sart the second half of the season, the same way
they were playing in the first half, getting a dominant

(13:15):
win here this time in Valley play Bank, you're with
you on bieson hotline. That play right there, that pass
from Cole Payton to Truman Wermeyer. I'm gonna be selfish here.
I'm gonna make that our gateway fiber connection of the game,
the best passing play from this one gateway fiber. Now

I may have predicted on that that one there in
bis in game day pre game I had a little
bit of info from Dan Larson. I asked him, do

(13:58):
you think you get Truman Wermeier catch here? I think
we might have to get somebody involved that's been a
valuable member of this offense, especially with some injuries at
the tight end position. And they found a way to
get Truman Warmire into the end zone for six. Pretty
special for him.

Speaker 14 (14:10):
The insider information comes out with a great prediction for
Truman Waramire to score there.

Speaker 7 (14:14):
This is why you got to listen to Bison game
Day everybody. We might tell you who's gonna score.

Speaker 14 (14:18):
Absolutely yeah. And what a what a throw and catch
in that in that play. I've seen that so many
times throughout my career at DSU. I mean just to
fall back leaking into the flat right, Yeah, what a
way to get the game started.

Speaker 7 (14:30):
An issues favor, I think Noah Gindor said, that's a
power pass or pass power something like that. He run
it a ton. They ran it with everybody for years
and years. It's a staple of the Bison offense. And
there was a staple right there. He was wide open.
I mean, yeah, I needed more obvious than that one.
I could tell Indiana State was settling out for the
run and then he just had a wide open, easy
throw for Cole Payton.

Speaker 14 (14:48):
It's a tricky play. You get the buys and have
the three yard line and you're selling out for the
run at that point, and Truman slips out and makes
his first career touchdown pass.

Speaker 7 (14:55):
Full backs with great hands. All the crew chiefs right there.
A nice play, so go job by Truman. Warm our
love when local kids make a big impact like that
out of Fargo, Davies. Great to see him getting the
end zone for his first touchdown of his career. Again,
that's our gateway fiber connection of the game. Before we
go over to the phone line, let's pause ten seconds

What do you want to talk about?

Speaker 18 (15:45):
All right, hey, gentlemen, good to be with you.

Speaker 7 (15:47):
A couple of quick things here.

Speaker 18 (15:49):
First off with the first quarter with the interception.

Speaker 19 (15:52):
Of course, you know a jip pass is the quarterbacks
worst enemy all we all know that and.

Speaker 20 (15:57):
Which led to not us scoring, but I'm scoring, and
then we let them do a fake fun Would you
say that's probably the worst first quarter in Bison history?

Speaker 18 (16:07):
That's one question.

Speaker 20 (16:09):
Question two, with the fact that we're going undefeated into South.

Speaker 19 (16:14):
Kota State enemy territory.

Speaker 18 (16:16):
Has South Dakota State and North Dakota State both proven
that they are the elite.

Speaker 2 (16:21):
Teams to beat in both the Missouri Valley and the
Summit League.

Speaker 21 (16:25):
That's question two.

Speaker 7 (16:27):
And question three is how far do you think South
Kota State.

Speaker 18 (16:33):
Will follow the rankings.

Speaker 22 (16:34):
When they lose next week, I will hang up a listen, guys,
thank you.

Speaker 7 (16:39):
I love the question there from the icon. Thank you
for that one. Appreciate it. I'll think those things one
at a time. Here, worst first quarter in the history
of NDESU. I will say it's not a zero percent chance,
but I'll put it a one percent chance. That's the
worst first quarter we've ever played, or worst quarter in general. Yes,
there was an interception. Yes, Indiana State was able to
move the ball down, they were in score and they

(17:00):
had the lead. We all get that. But NDSU moved
the ball. They had first downs on five of their
first six plays. Offensively, good play by their defensive back.
I think McKay Collins, if he could do it over again,
probably comes back to the football a little bit more.
Maybe Cole Peyton throws it a little bit sooner when
he turns around. A whole bunch of stuff could go
into that. Yes, there was a fake punt, we get it.
But for worst first quarter in the history of the program,
let's be a little realistic. I don't think it was

(17:22):
that bad.

Speaker 14 (17:22):
Any has State scored seven points and it is definitely
not the worst first.

Speaker 7 (17:26):
Describing first quarters, you've been down like twenty one to
nothing or something after him. You know, we can find
a few of those if we go back far enough.
That be a long way. It's probably to go back,
but I would guess that's not the first worst first
quarter in the history of NDSU our SDSU and NDSU
the two premier elite teams in the conference. I mean,
I think just you go off the history of what
these two programs have done. NDSU with the ten FCS

(17:48):
national titles, STSU with a couple of them as well.
They have ran the Missouri Valley Football Conference for a
decade decade plus at this point. So anybody out there
that's a true fan and knows what they're talking about's
gonna say you have to give them respect of what
they've done. They've earned the respect to say, yes, they're
the two elite programs. There's an other team that just
about an hour north here that's had a really impressive
season here so far. They had a really impressive result
today and that's und going to Carbondale to Suluki Stadium

(18:12):
where they had never won before in their program history,
and at halftime they're up twenty eight rip. It was
over at half on the road, a place where they
have never won before. And frankly, in their time here
in the Valley, they've been bad on the road period.
They've lost to some bad teams on the road. I
had not won in multiple years on the road in
Valley played the last couple of seasons. But they've won

(18:33):
a couple of road games already and they won dominant
fashion today against Southern Illinois at their place. They will
have something to say about it, I really do. And
they're gonna get both NDSU and SDSU at their place.
That's a huge advantage form. But yeah, NDSU and SDSU
are the elite programs at this level in this conference
for you right now.

Speaker 14 (18:50):
Yeah, there's no doubt about it. And the SUSDSU the
resumes speak for themselves. The fact that NDSU has to
play on the road for both those games this year
is definitely in any other team's face. But I'm excited
to see the challenge and how the team responds.

Speaker 7 (19:03):
Yeah, it's gonna be interesting to see how this season
ends with un d's gotta play NDS, un SDSU, stsu's
got to play NDSU and un D NDSU has gotta
play un d N SDSU, And I think I've confused
myself just saying that right now. But there's a lot
of very big implication kind of games left on the
schedule is what I'm trying to get to and you
and d SDSU. That's the last game of the regular season. Wow,

(19:23):
that's gonna have huge ramifications for the playoffs on what
happens in that game up in Grand Forks at the
end of this year's regular season. And then how far
will SDSU fall if they if they lose or say
he said win NDSU beats them, which I love the
way that was phrased. I don't end it fall that far.
It depends what the score of it is. But let's
be if you're being real about it, there's like four

(19:44):
or five teams that can really realistically, I think when
a national title, I would not be putting SDSU outside
of that realm of four or five.

Speaker 14 (19:50):
Yeah, I would say four or five is hit me.
There's no way that they drop any.

Speaker 7 (19:54):
They might drop like to six, but we're all smart
enough to know that they're one of the four or
five best teams in the conf country. Sure, absolutely, Okay,
let's go back to the phone lines here quickly, John
and west Fargo giving us a call. John, you're here
with us on Bison Hotline. What do you want to
talk about?

Speaker 18 (20:09):
Yeah?

Speaker 19 (20:10):
On television, Domienzo talked about Peyton de Land being nine
to five. So I requesting that Luke worked thing Dolly
Parton song working nine to five.

Speaker 7 (20:25):
Okay, John, I got an issue here right off the
bat with you. I don't love the other. I mean
being the self promoter. Thing. We were saying nine to
five about a month ago. That was on this show
Bizon Hotline. We were saying, that's the nine to five connection,
working all day, a good full day's work a month ago.
So just say we'll throw that one out there too.

Speaker 19 (20:44):
Okay, Okay, Well, then I'd like to hear Rickoff and
Luke work saying nine to five together on the radio
right now.

Speaker 14 (20:52):
They might shut off the radio if we start saying.

Speaker 7 (20:54):
It happening right now. What else do you want?

Speaker 20 (20:59):
It's all I got?

Speaker 7 (21:01):
Oh see, thank you, John, appreciate the call in there.
You don't want us sing. We want good ratings. We
want Applebeist to have people coming in the door. It's
not leaving out of the doors. Covering their ears. So
I don't think we're going to be singing, but yeah,
that connection is really good. It was still good today.
You look at the final stats for Cole Peyton and
Bryce Lance in this one, Cole Peayton finishes twelve of

(21:22):
eighteen one hundred and forty nine yards, touchdown, one interception.
On the receiving end, Bryce Lance four receptions, seventy four
yards and I believe five targets or four targets as well,
so one hundred percent when he was throwing to Bryce
Lance and eighteen point five yards per reception, all pretty
good numbers. That connection has been great all year long.

Speaker 14 (21:42):
That has Bryce Lance another great game. I think it's
going to continue as well.

Speaker 7 (21:45):
We'll come under the radar, like what do you do today? Oh,
four for seventy, Yeah, that's a better game for him.

Speaker 14 (21:49):
I don't really remember four for seventy from Bryce k
I guess theow. Yeah, I also had some factor in that.

Speaker 7 (21:57):
It sure did. But that's a great one. We were
saying that as a month ago, myself and Jakecavin and
Chris Hansen, we are here saying nine to five, working
nine to five all day long, good day's work. Bryce
Lance and Cole Payton. They have definitely lived up to
that billion and a whole lot more so far this season.
We'll take a break here on bines on hotline plenty
left to get to here at Applebee Stop buy with

(22:17):
us my case, Adia Berger showed up to three y.
We're taking a break right now, so we're going to
dive into that. When we come back, though, we will
have some of our breakdown of this game, and also
at check of our Jiffy loop of Forego's scoreboard as
NDSU wins this one thirty eight seven over Indiana State.

it's interceptate Bison have it down the sideline dayling cruppy,
It's sign a five, it's spinning down its sign a
four yard line.

Speaker 7 (27:18):
Let him play in the rain. Ball got knocked in
the air multiple times.

Speaker 13 (27:23):
Kruppy came up with it out of deflection and he
returns it it signed.

Speaker 7 (27:27):
A sycamore three yard line. Bies it al takeovers first
play in the second half, very first play out of
a lengthy rain delay, and the Bies didn't flipped the
field right away and change all the momentum for the
second half of the game as they go on to
win thirty eight to seven over Indiana State. We'll back

(27:48):
here with you on Biding's on hotline and that play
by Jalen Crumby a big momentum taker right out of
the halftime break, which was basically a whole game or
a whole half worth of halftime there over two hours
in the rain delay. Big time played by Jalen Crumby
and the Bison defensive line forgetting after Patterson and knocking
that ball up in the air. It is our Northern
Vapor CBD highlight of the game. Fine Northland Vapor and

(28:11):
CBD in Downtown Fargo, South Fargo, Osgood and Bamigie Live's
too short for water down choices experienced the best at
North and Vapor and c B D about that play
right out of the break. There loop huge momentum for
the Bison out of the second.

Speaker 14 (28:27):
Half, absolutely massive, and I mean coming out of that
second half in that big delay, that game crew really
could have went any which direction, and Crumby making that
play right away was huge. I know the coaches were
always saying when they were in halftime and in that delay,
they were like, hey, we need a big play, we
need someone who's gonna spark it, and Crumby came up
with a big time this sun.

Speaker 7 (28:45):
A couple of guys on the d line got after
Patterson knocked that ball out as he was throwing it,
so it was a high, little just basically pop up,
and I know I think it was Jacquise Alexander Nathaniel
Stalium were both there, ran into each other, tipped it again,
and then Jalen Crumby was right there, Johnny on the
spot to pick that one off and take it back
into scoring territory. The very next play, Cole Peyton runs
it in for a touchdown and all of a sudden
you're up seventeen to seven, and just like it looks

(29:07):
so different. Not only were the bodies and coaches probably
saying what you just said there, Luke of Hey, we
need to play when this one's got to do something here,
get some spark going. I guarantee you, Kurt Mallory, the
entire coachings after Indiana State was sitting there saying, we've
got them boys, it's ten to seven, we get the ball.
Let's go out score a touchdown. With a little bit
of fear, a little bit of doubt in their mind,
let's go down there and do this. It's a long delay.

(29:28):
They don't want to be here. It's cold, it's wet,
it's rainy, it's outdoors in the elements. They're probably saying
all of those things, and they're probably a little bit
hyped up from it. They probably actually believed and rightfully so.
I mean, it's a three point game at half. They
had kind of played right there, step for step with
Ndiasu in the first half. And then you go and
you do that and you feel like, you guess take
away that belief that they probably had at a time too. Right.

Speaker 14 (29:49):
Yeah, And we talked about in the pregame, if you
give a team like Indiana State belief, they can be dangerous,
and that's what they were in the first half, but
Co Green eliminated that belief right away in the second.

Speaker 7 (29:59):
Halfbsolutely huge play there by Jalen Crumby and all of
Code Green our Northland Vapor CBD highlight of the game
as the Bison going to win this one thirty eight
to seven over Indiana State. Improved to seven and zero
on the season, and with the loss for Indiana State,
they're still winless here in Valley play this season. To

(30:20):
a quick check of our Jiffy lupa forego scoreboard here
in just a little bit. Before we do that, though up,
we go back over to the phone lines. I believe
Jacob in Morehead is given us a call Nick back
in our studio, Nick Brendan mule, can you put him
back on the line. I've lost connection back here, but
if you can put him on, we'll get Jacob's dotts
here on Bidenson hotline. Thank you for that, Jacob, We've
got you. Here's what's on your mind? Hey guys, first

(30:44):
time caller, a long time listener.

Speaker 18 (30:46):
First off, I want to say Luke Wartz, you're doing
a great job. Got a couple questions for you. What's
the thought process on kicking.

Speaker 28 (30:53):
The field goal at the end of the game or
going forward instead of kicking.

Speaker 24 (30:57):
The field goal.

Speaker 18 (30:59):
And then my question would be, you know, there's a
big hockey.

Speaker 1 (31:03):
Game up north to night.

Speaker 7 (31:04):
There's two teams, the team up north the team in Minneapolis.

Speaker 1 (31:07):
Can both teams lose in a hockey game. Thanks guys,
I'll hang.

Speaker 29 (31:11):
Up with them.

Speaker 7 (31:14):
Thank you, Jacob. Appreciate the call from Jake in Morehead
over there. I think you might have an idea who
that might be kicking the field goal. I think that
was interesting. I don't know if we're talking about the
one there towards the end of the first half where
Eli Oozi hits the fifty four yard which was great,
tied a career high, tied second longest in school history.
It was fourth and nine, and then there was a

(31:34):
false start or an approachment by Indiana State made it
fourth and four because a five yard penalty bring the
offense back out there. They decided not to take a play.
They basically just ran that thing down. Try to get
Indiana State to jump out sides again and give you
a free first down. Didn't work. But then you took
a delay of game instead maybe taking a time out,
because then you're talking about a forty nine yard field
goal instead of a fifty four yard field goal. I mean,

(31:56):
the odds of making that probably go up quite a bit,
I would think. But we just took the delay a
game and push to back another five yards instead of
calling a timeout, which was interesting.

Speaker 14 (32:03):
It was an odd sequence, but I think coach Polisic
was really just testing you though it was a leg
and you're seeing.

Speaker 7 (32:07):
How much you right.

Speaker 14 (32:08):
No, it was really odd. I honestly don't know what
the thought process was there. It seems like when you
take a delay a game in that situation, you're just
setting up for a punt, so I don't know.

Speaker 7 (32:19):
It's usually when you're around midfield and you're like, well,
let's just go five yards for the back and get
more room for our punter or something, but you're already
in field goal range. It would have made it forty
nine yards instead of fifty four. So that would have
felt like, yeah, you try to get him a jump
off sides. I get that obviously. If they don't, then
one second left, you call a timeout and you kick
a fifty or a forty nine yard field goal rather
than a fifty four. We have to hear from that
from coach Polis, like maybe later on press conference, maybe

(32:41):
this next tuesday, get some info from him on that one.
But what about maybe going for would you have gone
for a fourth and was a fourth and four at
that point once you're trying to get a jump outside
really go I.

Speaker 14 (32:52):
Think everyone thought they were gonna go for it that
when they bring the offense back out and you're not
gonna call a timeout and kick a field goal, I
wouldn't at least then if you're gonna do the hard count,
then you call time out and then you get a
closer field goal. So definitely gonna be some questions there.

Speaker 7 (33:04):
Yeah, I thought maybe he could have gone for it.
You also had gotten stopped already, right They went four down,
fourth and one on their own thirty four earlier in
the half and they got stopped. So that probably plays
in the thought process of you know what, let's just
kick a field goal here. It's not really go for it.
But yeah, not calling the timeout definitely an interesting decision
right there. It doesn't matter in the end, thankfully, because
Eliosic is automatic. I mean that guy from fifty four,

(33:24):
he's made two fifty four yards. Let's just make sure
every kick is from fifty four he won't miss. He's
two for two, so stats tell me he's not gonna
miss from fifty four yards. Mister Eliosic. A really good
game here for NDSU, And technically that field goal is
the game winner, the game winning field goal, that is,
it put you up ten to seven, and the Bison
never looked back at that point. Bison went at thirty
eight to seven.

Speaker 1 (33:45):
Here.

Speaker 7 (33:45):
I did say, we're gonna check our Jiffy Luba Fargo's scoreboard.
Let's score around first off at the top twenty five
level over there at the the FBS level, top twenty
five here.

Speaker 14 (33:53):
Andy, you forgot the second half of the question, though, Oh.

Speaker 7 (33:56):
Hockey game, the hockey game, Yes, pardon me? Would you
like to answer? I sure, hope there's a way for
both them. Cheer for the giant meteor. Yeah, the sheet
of ice to melt. You can't. You can't play hockey
on not ice.

Speaker 14 (34:09):
You have ice zone flame thrower out in the middle
of the period.

Speaker 7 (34:12):
So the opposite of what we had today a weather
delay for it being too nice, too warm, too perfect outside. Yeah,
we need to melt the ice. Then I think both
teams can lose or at the very least both teams
cannot win. Yeah, or they move it to some other constantly. Yeah,
I'm with you on that one for both of those teams.
And now let's check our Jiffy lue beforego scoreboard. There
we go top twenty five here at the FBS level,

(34:35):
We've got number seven Texas Tech right now trailing at
Arizona State nineteen fourteen. They got two minutes left, but
Texas Tech does have the ball first and goal on
the Arizona State eight yard line. Gotta score, though they're
not done by a field good. It's five points. They
need a touchdown here and they just go. They just
got it. Touchdown passing touchdown from Will Hammond. Touchdown for
Texas Tech, and the number seven team in the country

(34:55):
is back on top of Arizona State. But the Sun
Devils will have some time to go down there and
try and steal that one away. They're at the half
in Arkansas, number four Texas A and M with a lead
over Arkansas twenty one to twenty. That game got delayed
multiple hours again today, just like the Bison game did.
They had crazy down pours of rain and hail in Fayetteville.

(35:16):
Hail down there. I haven't seen hail down there in
a long time. I have to think so not. The
only game that got delayed by weather was the Bison one.
There's a lot of them throughout the country. Here today,
Number eight Oregon's up fourteen to three on Rutgers. A
couple of finals for you at the top twenty five level. Here.
Number one Ohio State wins thirty four nothing over Wisconsin.
Ohio State's defense continues to be legendary. They're given up

(35:40):
less than seven points per game right now. I don't
know how they're doing that, but they are. That's a
crazy good defense. Indiana thirty eight thirteen, they win against
Michigan State. That one has gone final out there in
Bloomington and Georgia at home, the number nine team in
the country takes down number five ole Miss. We had
said ole Miss is not one in Georgia since the
nineteen ninety six. They have to wait at least a

(36:02):
couple more years before they get their next opportunity. Forty
three to thirty five. Georgia beats ole Miss, number nine
over number five. Any surprises there.

Speaker 14 (36:10):
They're just a revolving door of top twenty five teams
in the SEC playing each other each week, so one
of them best to lose.

Speaker 7 (36:16):
One of them does have to lose, even with both
in the top ten, and you're gonna be facing each
other most weeks than not. Out there in the SEC.
Vanderbilt number seventeen, maybe the biggest home game in their
program history, hosting and they were favored against number ten
LSU favored for a reason. They actually covered in this
game as well. Thirty one twenty four Vanderbilt beats LSU

(36:36):
man Vandy's for real and the Commodores do not mess
with them. They know what they're doing. Diego Pavia eighty
six yards and two touchdowns on the ground for the
Vanderbilt quarterback.

Speaker 14 (36:45):
Yeah, that's weird that Vanderbilt is Vanderbilt JIT program.

Speaker 7 (36:48):
Now, welcome to twenty twenty five where Vanderbilt and Indiana
our football powers. That's what we're talking about this year.
And Georgia Tech also a football power because they won
today against Duke twenty seven to eighteen on the road.
Georgia Tech, Yes, Georgia Tech seven and oh four to
ozho in the ACC. With Miami's loss last night, they
are your leaders in the ACC right now. Georgia Tech are.

Speaker 14 (37:11):
They still run the triple option?

Speaker 7 (37:13):
Maybe they definitely have a running quarterback there on Haines
King their quarterback fourteen carries one hundred and twenty yards
and a touchdown on the ground, So they've got some
running quarterback through them still these days as well. For
Georgia Tech, they get that win over Duke. We already
mentioned Miami lost twenty four to twenty one against Louisville.
That one was played there last night. How About in
the Missouri Valley Football Conference. Some very interesting scores here

(37:36):
throughout the day, Some big matchups this week out here
in the Valley. First off, let's go to UND going
on the road to Southern Illinois. We thought very competitive
back and forth game to maybe top twelve teams in
the country. Well one of them proved it. The other
one has left scratching their head a little bit. UND
goes into Carbondale, gets the win thirty eight nineteen. They

(37:57):
led twenty eight to nothing at half. They ran for
over three hundred total yards in the game and averaged
over seven yards per carry. On Southern Illinois, Sawyer sidel
himself fourteen carries one hundred eight yards and three rushing touchdowns.
Very impressive from und who is now five and two
three and ohero in Valley play.

Speaker 14 (38:19):
And we have to go up to the tin Can
to play them. That's gonna be tough.

Speaker 7 (38:22):
I think that is going to be an absolutely racous atmosphere.
It already is every year, but especially a year like this,
and rightfully so. I mean they probably believe a little
bit like why not us. I mean, we're we've been
playing as well as anybody else. We almost went to
Kansas State and one, almost went to Montana and one
and now we're not almost winning, we are winning and
winning in dominant fashion. That wasn't just squeaking out a win.

(38:42):
They blew the Sulukis out of their own home stadium
to day. Yeah, very impressive.

Speaker 14 (38:46):
You Indy in the past, in the past five years,
if they play this game at Southern, they're they're losing.

Speaker 7 (38:51):
It ten times out of time, maybe at the nineteen
compared to the thirty eight. Yeah, they're the ones that
are blown off the field basically in the first half.
Did not happen that way. Today SDSU at Murray State
was a seven to seven game at the end of
the first quarter. There so no Bison fans saying we
were trailing at the end of the quarter against the
Indiana State. Well, South Dakota State was trailing, or was
they were trailing, but they were tied at the end

(39:12):
of the first quarter against Murray State seven to seven,
and then they were leading fourteen to seven at the half.
They go on to win thirty five to fourteen. Again,
they're just fine. They win in dominant fashion here. The
real a topic from this game is Chase Mason, quarterback
for SDSU, left early in the first half with some
sort of injury. He hobbled off of the field and

(39:33):
did not come back. So definitely gonna be of concern
for Jacob at fans, and we're gonna be discussing that
heavily throughout the week of if he will play. I
would assume if he can play at all, he's gonna
be playing against NDSU. But that's the matchup next week.
Bison down there in Brookings and their quarterback got a
little bit hobbled today.

Speaker 14 (39:51):
Yeah. The question I have in this one is that
the worst first quarter in South Dakota State history.

Speaker 7 (39:56):
It's a great question, as an excellent question, my friend
and I think one worthy of discussion based off the
question we had from the icon worse first quarter Maybe
in jack rep at history probably had some bad ones
against NDSU. Yeah, which times I think about it. How
about USD They get a win as well, seventeen to
fourteen at Northern Iowa. I'll give them credit. They are
winning games, not winning any games like convincingly here, but

(40:18):
they came up to Fargo. Bison completely blew them out
of that game, ran them off the field, scored on
I believe their first five possessions. Since then, USD has
won three games in a row. They are three and
one in Valley play, none of them super convincingly. But
they win today in Cedar Falls on the road seventeen fourteen,
so now three and one in Valley play. They beat
Murray State forty nine to twenty four. That was a

(40:38):
convincing win. I will give them that. But then nineteen
fourteen at Indiana State, seventeen fourteen at Northern Iowa gets
much tougher here. The last five weeks or four weeks
for USD versus Illinois State at home, they get them
home versus U, and D home versus SDSU and at
Southern Illinois. Yikes, the last four are going to be

(40:59):
very tough there for you, and there are no breaks.
They don't get a buye between any of those. Their
bye comes at the end of the regular season this year,
so it's gonna be very tough for USD the rest
of the way. But at the very least they've rebounded
from the loss against NDSU. They are three and one
here in Valley Play. Anything surprised you from the slate today,
we shall also mention Youngstown State beat Illinois State forty
to thirty five. Both runt guard over five hundred total

(41:21):
yards of offense and five total touchdowns. The quarterback for
a Youngstown State willed the Penguins to a win by
five out there at normal.

Speaker 14 (41:29):
I think that one surprises me the most. If you
see a quarterback stat line like that, I want to
watch the highlights of that game. Yeah, because he was
absolutely balling out there.

Speaker 7 (41:38):
Twenty three of thirty four for three hundred and twenty
eight yards and two touchdowns. They have an interception, and
this was the one that shocked you the most. Thirty carries,
thirty rushing attempts for their quarterback, two hundred yards and
three touchdowns. Folks, there's many quarterbacks in the FCS one
have thirty carries this season. He had thirty in a game.

(41:59):
That is crazy.

Speaker 14 (42:00):
I wonder what percentage of plays he had the ball
in his hands to and running or passing to. How
many carries are the running back hit I will.

Speaker 7 (42:10):
Let's look it up. Let's go for it right now.
We cant even bring this one up too. That's Bo
Johnson or Bo Bruntguard's numbers. Here we go Youngstown State
rushing attempts Ethan Wright he had five carries. Jade and
Gilbert had nine. Kay Wilson had won. Wow, that tells
me they combined for fifteen carries the rest of the
team basically, and you had thirty carries for Bo Brunguard

(42:30):
in this one two hundred yards. I mean it's effective,
so why not keep doing it? Got six point seven
yards per carry and three rushing touchdowns. He accounts for
five total touchdowns in the game, two passing, three on
the ground. Youngstown State, they were up twelve nothing, then
they were down twenty eight to twelve, and then they
were up forty to twenty eight. They scored twenty one
and answered in that fourth quarter alone, and then they

(42:51):
hold on the win forty to thirty five against Illinois State.
Big win for the Penguins. They're now four and three
in conference or four and three overall, I believe, one
and two in conference. Illinois State now they are three
and four, and they are now one and two in
conference play. A couple of losses, this one at home,
also home against NDSU. They do have the win on

(43:11):
the road, which I believe was against Murray State last week.
So great game back and forth, but Youngstown State gets
definitely a somewhat of a marquee win on the road
to help their playoff res man. It's gonna be huge
for them.

Speaker 14 (43:22):
It's a big time win. And Illinois State goes from
being ranked to losing NDSU and other seasons.

Speaker 7 (43:27):
Kind of out absolutely absolutely jeopardy. Yeah, yep. So that's
gonna be interesting to see what happens with Illinois State
the rest of the way. That's a look at our

Welcome back to Buyson hotline on Bison sixteen sixty and
one oh seven point nine who stood out today and
made the place necessary to win for the Bison. Here
is the drool performer of the.

Speaker 7 (48:07):
Game, ball the eighteen of Indiana State. First down in
ten paid with the game to DJ.

Speaker 13 (48:13):
Scott big hole cutting up side of the ten head
sign the five and who'll go into the end tone
touchdown Bison, DJ Scott to the house eighteen yard run
and the Bison are running away with it Hererie in
terror hope thirty in a row, thirty to seven, good

(48:34):
guys fourteen to twenty four remaining and the p eighteen
to come for the herd, and.

Speaker 7 (48:42):
The Bison would score a few more after that as well.
They go on to win today thirty eight to seven
over Indiana State humble with the play by d J Scott.
Both the running backs doing a great job here for
Indie issue today, all of them, but especially those two
of Bareka Pennu twenty three carries one hundred and thirteen
yards and two touchdowns and d J Scott nine carries
seventy eight yards and a score. Great games by both

(49:05):
of them, and we're gonna make DJ Scott our dri
cool performer of the game. And when you look at
what DJ Scott did today, great play out of that backfield,
another key piece for this bys.

Speaker 14 (49:17):
And offense averaging eight point seven yards per carry. That's
impressive for a guy that's getting nine carries a game.
You made the most of them today.

Speaker 7 (49:24):
Yeah, and that's his role, right. You don't know how
many carries you're gonna gonna get game in and game out.
We know Bricas bring us the bell cow Brigers can
get the lion's share of the carries. You've got a
quarterback in Cole Payton, He's gonna have probably double digit
rushing attempts between designed runs and quarterback just kind of scrambles.
But you're gonna have a few opportunities for DJ Scott.
You gotta take advantage of him. He definitely did today

(49:45):
nine carries, seventy eight yards, eight point seven yards per attempt.
Well done by DJ Scott again he is our DRI
cool performer. The quart of Refrigeration, now known as DRI,
helps athletes succeed behind the scenes, from the training room
the dining room, from milk to medicine, from ice to
ice cream. DRI has been serving in Minnesota, Montana, and
the Dakotas for over forty years online at dakrev dot com.

(50:10):
Well done by d J. Scott. Today, let's go back
to the phone lines. Mark in America given us a
call mark. How you doing today? What do you want
to talk about?

Speaker 18 (50:20):
I'm doing good, Andy, Hey Luke, welcome to the trail again, guys.
A couple of comments, a couple of comments on an
app and you guys can elaborate on number one. This
is and no offense to Indiana State, but this is
the kind of game you you walk into, go and say,
let's dominate, let's get the win. So let's come out healthy,

(50:43):
and unfortunately we didn't with Mackay and student Effer and
maybe a couple other bumps and bruises. But surprisingly that
seemed to happen across the FCS a little bit this weekend.
H Cole Payton, one of his key challengers for the
patient Walter Payton Board, sounds like he went out during

(51:04):
the game. Or the quarterback from the Taco Jones University Dakota.
He's out at least for the rest of the games,
so it seems maybe it was a weekend of attrition
and then is it past Hanson's dead time. Is that
why he didn't make it already?

Speaker 7 (51:24):
I mean, yeah, it definitely is. Absolutely. He works in
the morning Mark, so he's he's a morning show guy.
Those guys go to bed about three in the afternoon.
We all know that. Plus he's probably already getting himself
like a camping spot down there in Brookings would be
my guest market in America giving us a call. Well,
get Chris Hansen's thoughts plenty throughout the week. I can
tell you that he's here with us after home games

(51:46):
for I ICE in Hotline, but not here with us
this week, Andy Rickoff, Luke Wertz here with you on
those those talking points. There, yes a lot of injuries.
It does feel like every year college football NFL, it
feels that there's one when you look across the entire
league and like everybody went down. There's big injuries on
most teams. This week is probably one of those weeks because, yes,

(52:08):
Chase Mason goes down, he's a little bit hobbled coming
out for the field. We have to get an update
on him. Then Derek robertson the quarterback out at Mommouth
who is putting up ridiculous numbers he went out with
they left shoulder injury. Have not gotten word on if
he returned it all today or not. Mommoth did get
the win over Stonybrook, but he has been putting up
some really big numbers. Definitely one of the favorites for

(52:28):
the Walter Payton at this point of the season, so
we'll have to get an update on him too. Those
are very big injuries, not just for their teams or
for the Walter Payton, those are big injuries for the
FCS because those are playoff teams that might be down
their quarterback right now.

Speaker 14 (52:40):
Yeah, I mean football is a physical game and about
halfway through the season you see a lot of these
injuries kind of pop up. Unfortunately, the Bison didn't come
out on skate either, which is you know, you hate
to see that, but yeah, I mean every seaton be
a week where a lot of people go down and
you kind of see how they can bounce back again.

Speaker 7 (53:00):

the Bison. This is Bison Hotline.

Speaker 7 (57:43):
To match his career along kicking right to left as
you lessen, Caleb Bowers will snap Aaron Bickerton will hold
Eli Ozick from fifty four left hash snap spot kick
on the way. Gave it a good drive, man, It
is God he got it.

Speaker 13 (58:01):
Elioasick from Downtown across the Crossroads of America fifty four
yards and he knocks the Bison in front ten to seven.

Speaker 7 (58:16):
The game winning field goal right there from Elioaick tying
a career long fifty four yarder. Just make him go
back a few extra yards. Why not goes back there
and still drills it from fifty four yards out And
that is one of the highlights of this game was
the Biders and win a thirty eight to seven over
Indiana State. Back here with you on bidingson Hotline live

(58:36):
from Applebee's. If you're here at Applebee's, we are giving

just need your name and number. So if we draw
your name and you're not here, we know who to
call to get the tickets to for a couple of
weeks when the Bison take on the Penguins, and that
could be a very entertaining game based off what Youngstown

(58:58):
State did earlier. Let's go back over to the phone lines.
Milt in Atlanta given us a call, Milt, good to
have you back here with us on Buys and hotline.

Speaker 20 (59:06):
Sir, Hey, I was a Navy Corman medic with the Marines,
and I was just wondering, does INDIASU bring a team
doctor or is it just the trainer along with them?
And then my other question is I used to go
watch a lot of Kennesaw when they were in the FCS,

(59:27):
and I was wondering if any of you guys talked
to d DJ Scott and asked, maybe if you just
possibly found out the difference in the way things roll
up here at NDISU versus in Georgia at Kennesaw State.

Speaker 7 (59:45):
Thanks to the call there, Milt appreciate it. Well, I'll
defer to my co host here, Luke Wurtz doctor. I
know you guys got trainers. There's lots of trainers that
are out with this team each and every week. Tricia Shannon,
Associate athletic trainer, does a phenomenal job with all the
the training and different things going on right now. They've
got a great team there. I know you guys got
team doctors as well that do travel on some of

(01:00:06):
the road games as well.

Speaker 14 (01:00:07):
Yeah, I think it's some of the road games they
just kind of hit or miss. I remember the ones
that were closer to NDSU, like when we go place
at South Dakota or at U and D. They'd make
those trips. But I don't think it was all of them.

Speaker 7 (01:00:18):
I will say there's definitely at least a couple of
the doctors that were there at Illinois State. Yep. It's
usually these you know, chiropractor doctor, somebody that was some
medical training there. Of course, Indiana State has to have
medical personnel there as well. They're the home team, right,
You've got to have like the ambulances always by the field,
and you've got those emergency personnels that are there if needed.
Thankfully for Jackson Dutenhaffer, it was not that serious. Now

(01:00:39):
it looked really really serious. Happy to announce if you
guys haven't heard, Jackson Dutenhaffer was back on the sidelines
by the end of the game. Had a neck brace on.
Might have to be driving back to to Fargo instead
of flying just because needing an MRI. But it does
sound like it looked like a pretty nasty head or
neck injury there towards the end of the first half.
We got taken off on a stretcher, put into an
ambulance and every thing. But he was back standing walking

(01:01:01):
around on his own with a neck brace on. That's
a very positive update on jackson duton effort.

Speaker 14 (01:01:07):
Yeah, that was that was a rough one to watch.
I know whoever's listening right now, definitely prayers up for Jackson,
make sure that he's doing all right. Absolutely super good
to see him back on the silence that it wasn't
maybe a serious right away then than we might have thought.
So that was that was definitely a good thing to see.

Speaker 7 (01:01:22):
Yeah, we'll get an update this next Tuesday from Tim
Poulisek at his presser about availability. I would venture to guess,
I mean, if it's serious enough to go off the
field like that, I wouldn't think Jackson's gonna be able
to come back and play this next week against SDSU,
But we'll wait for the uh the update there from
Tim Polasek on Tuesday. Makai Collins the other injury. He
had his shoe off, ice pack around the foot, the ankle,

(01:01:44):
whatever that was, and he was out very early on.
I think that actually happened on a fake punt. As
when that one happened to Makai. I know the receiver
room is deep, but Mackay has had a couple of
touchdown catches already this year. Definitely a valued member of
the receiving corps.

Speaker 14 (01:01:56):
Yeah, that's a big loss. I mean you just get
Chris back from right injury and then Makai goes down
today with one. Hopefully it's not super serious and something
that he can come back from.

Speaker 7 (01:02:05):
You do still have Bryce Lance, you have Chris Harris,
Rajah Nelson, Jackson Williams. You've got plenty of receivers from Makai.
Going to be a loss there that might keep him
out for a couple of weeks as well. Those are
the main topics coming out of this game, other than
the win for the Bison. We got to stay on
track here, so we're gonna take another break. We'll come
back plenty more break down, a couple more segments to go.
If we want to sign up to get some tickets

Chase Eving Canada game for the Bison at d tackle,
thinking his Bison debut. Here's third and thirteen. Eving able
to wrap up Patterson. He got him back inside the twenty.
He gets his first career sack. How about the freshman?

(01:07:02):
How about that freshman Nice sack? Right there are some
of the backups getting in for NDSU and Nice sacked
there for the Bison on defense and go on to
win this one thirty eight to seven over Indiana State.
Take a look at the Bison defense here everyone that
got in on the action here later but Peter hougoes
seven total tackles, half tackle for loss. You talk about

(01:07:23):
know what Taylor in there for four tackles as well,
Austin Alta. Peter had a half tackle for loss. He
had three total tackles in this one. Elijah Wayne with
the injury here to Jackson dute effort, he might be
relied upon a little bit more. He had a couple
of tackles. A chance Simon's with a tackle in there
as well. And you heard that one from even with
the tackle for loss on the sack coming off the edge.
That's great for the young man, true freshman. Yeah.

Speaker 14 (01:07:44):
The beautiful thing about NDSU is we double rep so
these young guys are getting the same amount of reps
or more at times than the veterans in the program.
So they're ready when their name's called.

Speaker 7 (01:07:55):
And I love the reaction from the guys on the
sideline too. They know when a youngster gets to play
in there is first sack. That was pretty cool to
see everyone support him that way. Yeah, yeah, yeah, Jase
evenk with that first sack for his Bison growfully. The
first of very very many out there. For number fifty

just took the lead. They strike first with Alabama Tennessee
and one in the Big Ten. Some people might be
interested in keeping up with. How about a seven to
three lead for Penn State at Iowa and they have
the football right now, twelve thirty to go. They just
James Franklin, new guy taking over in the name of

(01:09:03):
Terry Smith as the interim head coach. He's been on
staff there for the last twelve seasons, last five as
associate head coach and Penn State new coach. Maybe a
little bit of a bump there for that programming this week.

Speaker 14 (01:09:15):
Terry's got him greased.

Speaker 7 (01:09:16):
Yeah, he's got him ready to go. Former player, If
anyone can get them ready to go and maybe turn
around that season, former player would definitely be the guy
to do what. They got a seven to three lead
at Iowa. Also a ten to seven lead for number
twenty USC at number thirteen Notre Dame, and a rivalry renewed.
And who knows how long that one sticks around. I've
been some talk about not having that sticking around for
the future. Hopefully it does because It's a great matchup,

(01:09:39):
but definitely one of those things with the changing landscape
of college athletics that might be on the way out.
Let's take another break here on Bison Hotline. A couple

is your host, Andy Rickoff.

Speaker 7 (01:14:33):
Welcome back to biz on Hotline live from Applebee's here
just north of the Fargo Dome, Indius who gets to
win thirty eight to seven over Indiana State today improved
to seven and oh on the season. Let's check out
our text line seven zero one four seven six sixteen
sixty first one in here from David says, I love

(01:14:54):
listening to Phil. His honest football IQ is so refreshing.
I think we all this sentiment there with you. David.
We definitely enjoy the Hall of Famer Phil Hanson, who's
on with us each and every game. He does a
great job and great to have him during games like
this to provide a little bit of insight into what's
happening during weather delays as well.

Speaker 14 (01:15:12):
Yeah, Phil has played a lot of football and knows
a lot about the game, so it is refreshing to
hear someone that's gonna be blunt about everything.

Speaker 7 (01:15:17):
He definitely is blunt. Lets you know, his report cards
are always great. I think he gave you special teams.
It's like a D today because he's gonna give him
an F because of a fake punt. You can't compete
in a fake punt in his mind, and hey, that's
films football more than I do. You played in the NFL,
so I can't question anything he's got, but he definitely
gives it to you exactly how he thinks. An honest
feedback there from one Phil Hanson. Ever gonna have a

(01:15:39):
conversation with him on road trips or anything during your
playing days.

Speaker 14 (01:15:42):
I actually missed out on that. I definitely should have,
but I'm sure i'll see him here.

Speaker 7 (01:15:46):
Oh you'll meet him, like, Yeah, he's all round and
you can talk to him. Definitely a great conversation. Usually
when I go on the road, if I do, like
when I filled in for Nowagaindor for a couple of
weeks ago, we're sitting on the same row with Phil.
He always gets the exit row. Oh yeah, you know,
extra leg room when you're biggest, Phill Hanson, and when
you were a Hall of Famer, you got the weight
to say, I get the exit row.

Speaker 32 (01:16:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (01:16:04):
So then the rest of us are hitting next to them,
which is obviously fine. I get the extra lay groom
as well, but definitely a little bit of a little
bit of weight when he says what he wants, for sure.
Another one here from Paul in Am on South Dakota says,
would you would like to hear the reasoning behind the
delay of game on the defense a couple of times?
And then the delay of game before the field goal

(01:16:26):
as well. We did touch on that a little bit already.
I'm not really sure, Luke, You're not really sure on
why you take the delay of game instead of calling
the time out before the field goal. The other thing
that I thought was interesting was those defensive delay of games,
two of them in the first half. I don't know
if I've ever seen I've seen a defensive delay of
game before, but two and one a half I've definitely
never seen before. I don't really know what either one

(01:16:47):
of them was.

Speaker 14 (01:16:48):
Fo Yeah, it had to have been something in the
game plan where either a guy's saying something audibly for
a shift or they're making a clap trying to get
someone's attention. Anything that is like a cadence for the
offense or simulates a snap, then you're gonna get called
on that. And we've gotten called in a few times
the past couple of years. But yeah, I haven't seen
anything like that. There's two times.

Speaker 7 (01:17:09):
It's not shifting up front, right, like you can the
defensive lineman can move around. That's nothing bad, right.

Speaker 14 (01:17:15):
Yeah, No, the shifting's no problem. But there must have
been something in the game plan where we were making
a shift and there was a clap either to make
the shift or that someone was saying shift, and then
that's what they're calling it, either the audible shift or
the clap.

Speaker 7 (01:17:29):
Okay, yeah, those could be definitely something. We gotta ask
Tim Polisick about what those defensive delay of games. You
see it every once in a while, but two of
them in one half was definitely a little bit strange
and had five total penalties in the first half as well.
A couple of thoughts from this game here so far.
We get some more texts in just a little bit.
We have one more break that we gotta take though,
and we gotta get out on a certain time tonight

(01:17:50):
because the game obviously went long with the weather delay,
so we will take a break back to wrap things up.
Our final thoughts on Bizen hotline next.

Welcome back to Buys in the hotline final segment on
the show today, I appreciate everybody coming out to Applebee's

two hour rain delay. We appreciate our great weight staff
here at Applebee's as well. They always take care of us.
They got that great two or twenty five deal going

Speaker 14 (01:23:12):
Me and Jake Rock did Jesse and Heisenberg from Breaking Back. Oh, okay,
white suits with the has met the mask and everything
that actually is really good. And then we had crushed
up rock candy and little baggies.

Speaker 7 (01:23:25):
Okay, brilliant blue, I would assume, yeh have to be.
I love that play. I've done Bugs Bunny from Space Jam.
This movie ever made. Space Jam, the original one, not
the second one. Original was way way better. I agree,
with you the last couple of minutes on binds on hotline.
A few more text messages we wanted to go through
quickly since they sent them in. We want to get
to them CEC in the Lakes area, says si U.

(01:23:47):
With the NDSU hangover effect today gotta be like eighty
eight percent for teams after facing NDSU they lose the
next week. I don't have the official numbers for you,
but I know all times after you play SDSU or NDSU,
you were beat up. It is a physical game with
NDSU or SDST. It's a very physical football game, and
usually after that you're not feeling quite the same. It

(01:24:07):
looked like a hangover for SAU today. I do not
know what happened to him, but that did not look
with the same Southern Illinois team we saw a week ago.

Speaker 14 (01:24:14):
No, absolutely not. And there has to be some sort
of hangover fact because off the top of my head,
I know Illinois State. Well, they beat Murray State the
next week, didn't they.

Speaker 7 (01:24:21):
Yeah, but they have thirty pointsty plus points to Murray State. Yep.
Another one in here. Do we know anything about Mason's injury? Today?
For SDSU, we're kind of trying to keep up to
date with it, find different information out there. There's nothing
official from SDSU yet on it probably won't be until
middle of next week, and I can guarantee you they're
not gonna tell you. Dan Jackson's not gonna tell you

(01:24:41):
if he's starting or somebody else is gonna be like
gamesmanshipped to it, but it sounds like either an ankle
or a turf toe type of thing did not come
back and was hobbling off pretty good. Even if it's
a mild ankle spring and he can play though he's
a running quarterback. That's a big part of his game.
He's gonna be compromised a little bit. That's huge.

Speaker 14 (01:24:58):
Yeah, the defense is definitely happy that and Coach Olson
to be able to scheme up some extra things this week.

Speaker 7 (01:25:03):
If he can't move in the pocket either, you try
and lets them heat him up and make them move
around a little bit if he doesn't want to, right.

Speaker 14 (01:25:08):
Yeah, make him as uncomfortable as possible. That's the plan.
That's the plan for any quarterback.

Speaker 7 (01:25:12):
We'll talk about that a whole lot more coming up
on Biesen sixteen sixty and one or seven point nine
in the Fox this next week. In the last one
here from Steve. How good is un D five and
two lost a couple of close games and pounded Southern Illinois.
We touched on that earlier in the show. Steve, thanks
for the text. But I think they're good. They're clearly
the third best team in the valley right now, and

(01:25:33):
they've got a chance. They're gonna face NDSU and SDSU,
they've got a chance to say we're not the third
best team in the valley, we're the second best team
or the first the best team, like that's what it
is this year. Every year is different.

Speaker 32 (01:25:43):
Now.

Speaker 7 (01:25:43):
Do I think they're gonna beat both NDSU and STSU, No,
I don't. But I don't think they're the same program
we've seen the last couple of years. I think this
is a change of leadership that has definitely been an
effective one so far. From Eric Schmidt, yeah.

Speaker 14 (01:25:55):
They've been super impressive and sds he has also been impressive.
I don't know if many people expected them to to
come out like they have this year with all everyone
that they'd lost.

Speaker 7 (01:26:03):
Lost the entire coaching staff and really just about the
entire roster, and yet they're just fine, undefeated and they
beat Sacramento State. They went two boemen and beat Montana State,
which is always a very impressive victory to get so
good stuff by both of them. I'm gonna have you
grab our registration box over there, because we do have
to give away some prizes. I'm gonna let you pick
them out there as well, so the back slides out

(01:26:24):
all right, there you go, reach on in there. Give
me two for the tumblers. First, pick out two of
these ones they used to be for the tumblers. First
winner on the tumbler, and then go ahead and grab
one more for the tickets. First one, Phil Brosiak, Phil Brosek,
you're a winner of one of our bis In sixteen
sixty tumblers. Looks like he's here in person. Well done, Phil,

(01:26:48):
I want to stick around. Love it. Take whatever Tumblr
you want, either one of them, go for it. Perfect
for the tailgate lot. Another one for the tumbler. Here, okay,
next Tumblr hunter Coozy, Looky, looky Cooley. Cooley. Spelling is down, Coly.
They're not buoying, they're COOLi the Hunter Cooley gets a

(01:27:10):
win for one of our Bison sixteen sixty tumblers and
the tickets to NDSU and Youngstown State will go to Barb.
I'll go Worth Rudd. Are you d H Brudd? Barb,
I'm gonna go with Barb from barbar Rudd. We'll get
it to her not here, but she does get the win.

(01:27:33):
Are u DH? I think on that that last name.
So thanks to everyone to signed up at plenty of
people sign up here in the bar area. We're here
for every postgame show after Bison football, although next week
I'll let everyone know a little programming note. Next week
it will be a pregame show because the Bison versus
SDSU is a night game seven pm first to kick
or kick off, I should say, which means we'll do

(01:27:54):
our pregame show from four to six pm next Saturday
here at Applebye's just north of the far Go Dome.
That will do it for us today. Though for Luke Wurtz,
well done, sir. Fun doing this with you for the
