Here's a snap to camp. Give the penu off a
webt tackle curling up at least side the thirty, the twenty,
the ten, inside the five. He's got the touchdown. Touchdown
at Esu Barrika Pedu fifty two yards and the Bison
strike first. And that's how it started. And it would

(02:33):
take a long time to finish, but the Bays who
would find their way to their tenth straight win, another
win at home on Senior Day and another Missouri Valley
Conference championship season. Welcome on in to Bison Hotline with

Visit bobcat dot com. Slash career is to join a
team that's always in the end zone. Andy Rickoff. Here
we have the on bines and hotline joined tonight by
our two great panelists, the one and only Jay Kava
with us once again like he was for pregame. And
it's not Cody Mouk. It looks a little different than
Cody Mouth because I think this is Chris Hansen who
is back with us. Don't see him often, but he's

(03:37):
here with us again here this weekend. He is working
post by week with us.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
How you doing, Chris, I'm doing great, great, great win
today from NDSU, and I think that the referees and
everyone agreed, let's give these seniors a little extra time
on the field today and let's blow it out so
that we make sure every senior gets on the field
for some playing time today.

Speaker 6 (03:55):
That was the game that never ended. It would just
never end. The first half took an hour and minutes.
The first two possessions took about fifty minutes, it seemed
to like but andys you continuously adding on to the score.
They win this one big going away fifty nine to
twenty one over the Missouri State Bears their tenth straight win.
Jake a special Senior day for all these seniors. We

(04:16):
will touch on all of them throughout the broadcast, but
a dominant effort by this team post by week for sure.

Speaker 7 (04:21):
Yeah, and that's kind of what you expect, you know, NDS,
who traditionally has been really good coming out of the
BI week. And I think, you know, the coach Polis
like error has proved, you know, NDAs who's still gonna
take care of business after they have that week off.
And like we said, you know, for the seniors to
go out there, you know, get that win, get a
share of the conference title, which has been a while
since we had a share of the conference titles.

Speaker 6 (04:38):
A couple of years.

Speaker 7 (04:38):
There's been three class there's a championship room in the
locker room at h at the Fargo Dome that to
go in that room, there's couches and PlayStations and TVs
and m you have to either be a conference champion
or a national champion. So there's been three classes of
buys and that tonight after the game was their first
SEC foot to go in that room for the first time.
So I was able to go down the locker room
and you know, all the older guys get around those
young guys and bring him into the room for the

(04:59):
first time. That's pretty cool.

Speaker 6 (05:00):
That's awesome, cool moment for all of them, for sure.
The senior is a cool moment for them in their
final home game during the regular season. And like you said,
the Revs definitely dragged this one on a little bit.
We already see a couple of text messages about the referees.
We'll get to those ones. We want your calls and
your texts in here on Bison Hotline seven zero one

Speaker 6 (05:52):
Andy Recof, you're with you, Chris Hansen, Jacavo as well,
and we do have Nick Brenda mule Back in our
bineson Sports Studios producing hotline for you to they get
the big win, they do it in dominant fashion. We
were talking pregame, Jake, this is a good Missouri State team.
You know, they had eight wins. They came in here
undefeated in valley play. Now we know they haven't faced
NDSU or SDSU or USD or even U N and D.

(06:14):
They haven't necessarily had the gauntlet of a valley schedule
this year. We thought it would be somewhat close, a
little bit close to maybe three scores, maybe they get
a couple of stops, or offense would move the ball.
Really none of that was true. NDSU was dominant through
this one throughout, other than maybe that one brief moment
where it became twenty eight to fourteen and you're like, okay,
put some more points up here, But it really was

(06:35):
never ever in doubt.

Speaker 7 (06:36):
Yeah, you know, I I was expecting a little bit
more I thought Missouri State on defense would play a
little bit harder. I thought ndcu's offensive lineman your key
of the game. They kind of had their way with
the defensive line from Missouri State. I mean Rik and
Marty both what like ten carries for one hundred and
fifteen plus yards for both of them, Like you're gonna
one a lot of football games. We got two backs
over hundred yards. But yeah, I know it's just a
dominant win for ENDSU And like we said, you know,

(06:58):
go way back to Colorado. You know some of the
non this NBSU team is getting better and better and
better every week they go out there, so you know,
there's still not a finished product. There's still you know,
next week against USD and then we'll get another bye
week hopefully and then go into the playoffs. Like where
this team's gonna be in the middle of December is
a lot better products than they have right now, which
is really exciting for bisen Found.

Speaker 6 (07:16):
Yeah, I mean Brika, but you take away the fifty
two yarder and he still only has one hundred and seventy,
so still would have one hundred and seventeen yards. Marty
Brown won thirteen on the ground, and you want to
know how dominant NDSU was, especially early on in this game.
Let's go to the final stats at the end of
the first quarter, if you will. I've got them here
for you. NDSU first quarter stats. See if I can

(07:39):
pull it up here really quick. There we go. They
had given up negative rushing yards in the first half.
It was negative two rushing yards for Missouri STA compared
to one to twenty three for NDSU. Passing yards was
fifty four to nineteen total yards one seventy seven to seventeen.
And the Binesen had eight first downs and just two
for the Bears, who only had it for five minutes

(07:59):
of the old quarter.

Speaker 1 (08:00):
Yeah, and plus a couple of turnovers on their side.
That that that's a recipe for getting housed. That's a
fifty burger recipe if I've ever heard of it. And
you know we talk about that. Yeah, they were undefeated
in the conference. That's the kind of conference schedule you have,
like once a decade where you played nobody, literally nobody

(08:22):
since the beginning of September. And I realize everyone's got
to go out and play and you've got to be
part of every game. But when you get that state.
You know it's Murray State, Indiana State, Youngstown, all the
bottom of.

Speaker 6 (08:33):
The southern Illinois who had lost everybody by the time
place them.

Speaker 1 (08:36):
That kind of thing just doesn't happen. They had a
really good opportunity to say, hey, you know what, let's
let's get out here, let's put something on. And you
know that first quarter they just they've did crumbled. I
mean it was over before they had to be looking
at each other like, well the rest of the games.

Speaker 6 (08:53):
Yeah, I mean your final to the Fargo DOMI if
you're a Missouri state, you're saying, it's our last chance.
Here is so everything we can at them. Boys, Let's
go out there and it's take this one. Yeah, three
and out on offense, two plays touchdown, Oh okay.

Speaker 1 (09:05):
Next possession, fumble on our own side. We got the ball,
team up dow, Yeah, we got the ball back.

Speaker 6 (09:09):
Let's go Score's tie this thing up. First play fumble,
they get the ball to thirteen going.

Speaker 1 (09:13):
You heard a lot of narrative that this was going
to be their playoff game, right, that this was going
to be their play Well, if this was their playoff game,
this was like we had Robert Morris coming in somebody
that was one done. NDSU put it to him today
and made no doubt about that. They are the class
of the Missouri Valley.

Speaker 6 (09:28):
Absolutely. The Bison win going away, big win over Missouri State.
Final score fifty nine to twenty one. Again your thoughts
seven zero one, four seven six, sixteen sixty And then
we got some phone calls, and then we got some
text messages. We'll get to those. Let's take our first break,
come back here, reset, refocus, just like the Bison did
after the bye week. Hopefully we have a dominant effort
the last eight breaks we have as well on Bison Hotline.

a Bison recover. Want to start by code greed first
the thirty and out, then the takeaway Bison takeover up
seven top eg when a short field right on the

(14:27):
doors down back here with you on bines in hotline,
rolling right along at Applebee's early couple of segments, and
we just touched on how NDYSU really took it to
Missouri State. Throughout this game, the Bear is coming in
thinking let's try and spoil the party here our last
trip to the for Go Dome. Not only does NDSU
go up just two plays on their opening drive, on

(14:49):
the very next drive for the Bears, one play fumble
on the backwards pass and the Bison recovered Enoxy Bomana
knocks at free mark or Shepherd on the recovery. That
is exactly how you kind of a doubt into a
team right from the start.

Speaker 7 (15:01):
Oh yeah, and just how you know keeps showing up
week in and week out. And that's a big time play.
Even if it was a forward passes, I think it's
still a catching got the ball out, but you know
it just I couldn't. I can't speak highly enough of
that young man and just the way he's progressed in
his playing now. And like we were talking earlier, like
to have guys like him, Oscar, Logan, Cop, Marcus Gully,
Wurtz and Koob. But like we have linebacker room, is

(15:23):
do we have a loaded linebacker room which is only
going to be better as you know, we get someone
gets digging, like we have guys that can step up.
So it was awesome to see.

Speaker 6 (15:29):
I'll be honest here for a second. I'm never honest.

Speaker 1 (15:32):
I love this.

Speaker 6 (15:32):
Yeah, tell every position group, every you know, the coaches
for position groups will say, Man, this room is as
deep as it's ever been. This room is super deep,
and I've always believed it. In the wide receiver room,
it hasn't always had a chance to come to fruition.
I think we're seeing it this year, how deep that
receiver room has been and is again here this year.
Grant Olson said I've got you know, seven eight linebackers
we could play before the season got going, and I

(15:53):
was like, okay, I mean, yeah, coach, of course, you know,
I believe you, but I haven't. I don't know about
is he going to Enoch and coming off an injury.
We'll see and Oscar was good, we'll see if he
can improve even more. I don't works as a stud
and he got two good middle linebackers. I'm wrong. Grand
Dalson was absolutely right. Enoch and Marcus Gully, Oscar Benz
and Luke wertz Kopit's words, they're all starting caliber. And

(16:16):
I think if they're all somehow out, I don't mind
going to Altipeter for a little bit. I don't mind
Staling getting a chance.

Speaker 7 (16:22):
We've got Staling who's been injured. Yeah, that's a deeper room.

Speaker 1 (16:25):
And the thing is, you got to keep giving those
guys bites. Yeah, because eventually they're gonna find their way
to the buffet, and you got to make sure they're
ready to house five or six plates when it's time, right, Like,
you've got to sure you just keep giving them little bites.
It might not be a full plate, but when it's
time to step up to the buffet and make it happen.
That and that has been a cornerstone obviously at NDSU
is you get them ready to play and when your

(16:46):
number is called, you go out and you make the
most of it.

Speaker 6 (16:48):
Absolutely, and that's what we pay Chris Hansen the big
bus Well, I've been that's right. Call us up seven
zero one, four seven six, sixteen sixty KOs So text
that same number your thoughts as endy issue gets to
win here over the Bears final of fifty nine twenty
one and they clinch at the very least a share
of the Missouri Valley Conference title again here in twenty

(17:08):
twenty four. We're not in the interest of sharing that.
Let's go win this thing again next week taking down USD.
We do have a caller on the line. It's none
other than our good buddy Mark in America calling in
two Buyson hotline. Mark, how you doing today?

Speaker 7 (17:23):
Here we go.

Speaker 14 (17:24):
I'm doing great, Andy. I am so proud of these
seniors for winning the Missouri Valley and I know my
good friends Pat and Vickey Rock are probably taking Jake
out for dinner to night to celebrate, and I'm really
happy for Vickey and Pat along and Jake. Now, one

(17:49):
of the comments that was made in the previous segment
is Chris Hansen said that Missouri State buckled in the
first hour. Chris, I'm gonna put it out to you
right now. You come to Ashville next year, I'm gonna
pay your bark cab and I'm gonna make sure your
knees will buffle in the first hour. Is that a deal.

Speaker 1 (18:08):
Can I come with too, Hey, I know my way
around Lower Broadway and eighteen dollars drinks just as good
as anybody.

Speaker 14 (18:17):
Jake, you can come too. I need a witness.

Speaker 7 (18:20):
Thank you, Okay, social media.

Speaker 6 (18:23):
Thank guys, I'll log it.

Speaker 7 (18:25):
I'll bring up video camera there.

Speaker 6 (18:27):
Yeah, thank you, Mark, thanks for the call, Barking American
giving us a call there on the hot line. Seven
zero one four seven six sixteen sixty. No shot at
Chris Hansen working. Oh no, it was after the bye week,
but we hadn't move for back to back weeks anyways.

Speaker 1 (18:38):
And we're putting we're put actually we're putting together a
trip to be in Nashville because it's over Labor Day weekend,
and so I think we're putting together a trip that
we're gonna grab some ndsu alum out of the Twin
Cities and make it a long weekend.

Speaker 6 (18:51):
And that should be great. There's a couple of games
there in a Citadel and then Tennessee Steake coming back
to back weeks. Just making a long weekend down there
in the South. And yeah, Nashville Broadway, you can you
can get in some trouble down there.

Speaker 1 (19:01):
For take me to Rippy's get some barbecues, or maybe
go to Johnson's across the street and maybe we'll uh
may get some Hattie Bees, hot chicken.

Speaker 6 (19:08):
Whatever.

Speaker 1 (19:08):
It's gonna be all good. It sounds like it's on
Mark's dime.

Speaker 7 (19:10):
I love it. And and just to touch on what
marcass O there, but the senior class, coach Polisk made
a comment on the locker room after the game, and
I think this holds true. You know, for this senior class,
obviously winning all the games that they've won has been awesome,
but for them to stick together as a group, which
obviously after last year and the coaching change, coach ens
Is leaving, Coach Roll leaves bringing in coach Polisk, for
this senior class to stick together and trusting coach Polis

(19:31):
like trusting his new staff coming in, like it would
have been very easy for those guys to hope Coach
ense left like doing know what's going on. I've got
one year left, I've got one the portals there like
I've had success. I can on the portal get paid somewhere.
But for those guys all to come back and obviously
got cam Miller and Grays about the head of that group,
I mean, just speaks you know a lot about their
character and you know how they feel about Bison football
and Byson pride, like they live that. And for those

(19:51):
guys to all come back and you'll put together this season,
they put together, put together. Hats off to the senior class.

Speaker 1 (19:55):
And these seniors. It's not something that gets to be
said very often at NDSU, and I realize is that
this is kind of a one of those you know,
like statements, and it doesn't mean they have not had
a lot of success, you know what I mean, other
senior classes that like the class that is graduating this
year or would maybe graduate next year if NBSU, god forbid,

(20:16):
would not go all the way this year, like, they
haven't had that success that they.

Speaker 6 (20:20):
Were recruited on.

Speaker 1 (20:21):
Yeah, right, they were recruited on We're going to be
in the national title game every single year. We're gonna
win darn near all of them. So this class to
keep fighting through that with all of the temptation to
do other things, that says a whole lot too on
your point.

Speaker 6 (20:35):
And to get them through that period of not having
the success back to where they are right now, on
top of not only the Valley, but number one seed
right now in the FCS ranked number one, Ranke number one,
but the committee as well. One more game to go,
but they take care of that one down in Vermilion
next week, they will be the number one seed. And
I think at that point that the favorite to be
in frisk going to raise another banner.

Speaker 1 (20:54):
This is maybe talk for later on. But does a
loss next week equal to number two seed automatically for
NDSU or not?

Speaker 6 (21:01):
I think it depends a little bit what happens out
in California here actually underway right now. You see Davis
and Montana State out there in the big sky. We'll
see what happens in that game, and then also in
the Brawl of the Wild next week with Montana State
in Montana. There's a lot to be said, there's some
other things.

Speaker 1 (21:16):
A loss next week.

Speaker 6 (21:18):
It would be interesting a loss at USD compared to
SDSU losing here against NDSU, you have two one loss
teams there. I would think NDSU would still get ahead
of SDSU because they have the head to.

Speaker 7 (21:29):
Head there, I would think, I would guess, But interesting.

Speaker 6 (21:33):
It would be interesting to decide deciding which is worse
or whatnot.

Speaker 1 (21:36):
Montana's are gonna have something to say about that too,
But anyway, that's for a later I just want to
put that out there.

Speaker 6 (21:41):
That oh what thoughts on it?

Speaker 7 (21:42):
Okay?

Speaker 6 (21:42):
Well, absolutely our plus here at Abbleby's just north of
the Fargo dun't come out, celebrate a big buys and
win here with us. You can win some NDSU basketball

Speaker 6 (26:27):
Missouri State opening trive. They have thirty eighth eighteen cheer receivers,
left cheer receivers right, shut gut Snap to Clark, he
stands in under pressure. Got up, Bison, get it for
a sack. Eli bo Star got there first and it's
a Northern back in box sack for the Bison to
start this game. They forts Missouri State three and hours.

(26:49):
There you go the Byson defense with a big time
performance all day long. They hold the Bears of Missouri
State to twenty one points. NDSUO gets to win fifty
nine to twenty one. Back here with you alive on
binds and hotline at Appleby's just north of the Fargo
Dome as always buys a hotline brought to you by
Bob Kat and we will take a look at our

(27:09):
jippy up of Fargo's scoreboard here in just a little bit.
More calls and text messages coming up here this segment
seven zero one four seven six sixteen sixty. Get your
thoughts from this dominant victory for NDSU. Let's go back
to the phone lines, Bob and Lenox, South Dakota giving
us a call. Bob, you hear from you once again.

Speaker 21 (27:27):
How you doing, sir, I'm doing well. Thanks. It was
a great win today. I'm really impressed with the way
in all stages of the game. You know, we got
up to an early lead, and then when Missouri State
tried to uh get back in the game, we just
you know, there was never one give in moment of

(27:50):
the whole game of just I like how we cut
the pressure on and kept uh kept him at bay,
and the way we took a toon on the second half.
There's being fifty nine, fifty nine to fourteen. I'm telling you,
I'm I'm looking forward to the next week down there

(28:11):
and uh in Vermilion, not very far from my whole
town originally, but I'm homeing that Remillion has no other
loss on their on their record, I wouldn't mind at
all if uh Missouri State knocked off South Dakota State.
I know maybe it may sound like a tall order,
but if it happens now from Missouri State, I'll be

(28:31):
glad about that.

Speaker 6 (28:33):
I think you had a couple other people that would
be very glad with that one too, Bob, thanks to
your call. Appreciate you staying tuned in and locked in
here to Buyson hotline over the year. I think we'd
all be pretty happy if Missouri State can find a
way to rebound from this one and take them at
Jack's pretty tall order. I don't know if i'd be
picking that one.

Speaker 1 (28:48):
Yeah, after what we saw today, I wouldn't be too
excited about that, but you never know.

Speaker 6 (28:54):
You never know, Master stadium man, the aura of plaster stadium,
hard place to play.

Speaker 7 (28:58):
Yeah, and you know they're off. I think their quarterback
we didn't see it today, we saw flashes of it. Obviously.
The one was a trick play. Clark can push the
ball down the field. They got some athletic receivers, so
you know, I.

Speaker 6 (29:09):
Think they got hit in the mouth today. To Bob's point,
it was a dominant performance again by NDSU. You're come
into this game thinking we had a chance to go
three and out. Two plays touchdown, turnover, two plays touchdown again,
or a couple of plays touchdown Like you get hit
so hard like that when you're on the road in
a hostile environment, it can be a lot. So if
next week it starts a little bit closer, maybe they
have a chance to get test to issue. But I

(29:30):
wouldn't count on it.

Speaker 7 (29:31):
Is that a Mike Tyson quota. Everyone has a plan
until you get punched in the face.

Speaker 6 (29:34):
Yeah, thing I got lunched.

Speaker 1 (29:36):
Or until you stand around for a good sixteen minutes
and get paid like ten million dollars.

Speaker 6 (29:40):
Or until your bear behinds on national television one or
the other whatever it might be global television.

Speaker 7 (29:45):
Really at that point and Netflix did not work very well.

Speaker 6 (29:47):
Yeah, that's what I heard about that one. I didn't
a chance to watch it.

Speaker 1 (29:50):
Shucks too, didn't You didn't miss a whole lot, That's
what I've been told.

Speaker 6 (29:54):
As I said last.

Speaker 1 (29:55):
Night, Netflix got back for all of us sharing our
passwords all those years. Yeah, I finally said, you know what,
do you think it was fun sharing all of our money?

Speaker 6 (30:02):
Yeah? What we're gonna do. We're gonna make you guys
sit through this buffering for the next couple of hours.

Speaker 7 (30:06):
I saw something that said that I'm gonna get back
at Netflix by canceling my brother's sister's boyfriend account.

Speaker 1 (30:12):
That I hear, I'm finally gonna long out.

Speaker 6 (30:15):
I'm done with it. Over with the Bob's point, he
calls in, Yeah, it was a dominant game. I'm not
gonna go as far as saying total sixty minutes, because
there was that brief little moment. They drive down the field,
they get the touchdown, camp Throws's first interception and three
hundred twenty four attempts, the NDSU record passed Trey Lance
by a good little portion there before throwing a pick
and then they get the trick play and they get
a touchdown, and all of a sudden, it's twenty eight fourteen.

(30:37):
It's not really like in doubt at all. I love
the Ndusuho gets the ball, they go down the field,
they had it with a minute forty four left. They
go right down on like four plays they're inside the
red zone, they score a touchdown, make it thirty five
to fourteen before the half. I did love that. And
then they get the ball to start the second half
and really completely put it away with another long touchdown
by Marty Brown. Finally broke Brown finally broke the big one.

(30:58):
Didn't get tracked down from nine or tackle at the
one or anything big touchdown for him, but have a
big day on the on the ground for Indiana Nebraska.

Speaker 7 (31:05):
Do not watch that play?

Speaker 6 (31:06):
Yeah right, please, nobody else watched that play?

Speaker 1 (31:09):
You mean Walter Payton Award winner or not Walter Payton,
but Jerry Rice Award winner front runner. Yeah, Marty Brown shot.

Speaker 6 (31:16):
On the initial list of finalists, is going to end
up on the top of that thing. I'm right there
with you. And he was phenomenal in this game. Marty
Brown fourteen carries one hundred and thirteen yards. He was
at six point nine yards per carry last game against you,
and I, oh, it's just up that to eight point one.
I think eight point one's a pretty good per carry average.
That's really good about Barrika sixteen point nine per carry,

(31:40):
sixteen point nine a first down and a half plus
every single time he touched the ball ten attempts, one
hundred sixty nine yards and two touchdowns on the ground.
NDSU as a team thirty eight rushes, three hundred and
sixty four yards, three touchdowns over nine and a half
yards per attempt on the ground.

Speaker 7 (31:57):
Today, Yeah, Prico is feeling really good at his boys.
That Cheyenne got it done on Friday night in the
state championship. Shout out Chyenne football. Great season. But then
you know Brica just carried that over and the Saturn
really did.

Speaker 6 (32:07):
He kept it going, He really did in a big way.
And that that offensive line we told we said that
in the pregame, Jake like, this is a experience offensive
line and you got three seniors, it's senior day, you
want them to go out well. I think Jake Landry
is making it a focal point to highlight the running
game a little bit more today. And then those young
guys that are back in, they're Griffin Empy back in,
Trent Freeley's played really well too. They're no longer you know,

(32:27):
freshman or young guys. They're they're veterans at this point
and it's starting to show.

Speaker 1 (32:32):
As you were a freshman Jake Packer in the day,
if you can go back to the time machine at
one point or something, at what point did you did
you feel comfortable? Now, you maybe weren't getting the reps,
but you felt like, Okay, I figured this out, like
it's no longer a mystery.

Speaker 7 (32:46):
Yeah, I think so. Obviously. You know, if you red
shirt kind of just take their red shirt years with
Coach Kramer and you're not I mean, you're still a
football player, but you're more just a lifter putting on
a w beat on scout team. So your second year
redshirt freshmane for some guys, it's your true freshman. For me,
your freshman year. You know, I would say I was
blessed to be. I played quite a bit of reps
as a red shirt freshman, So I would say you

(33:06):
start feeling comfortable, you know, probably midway point of the season,
once you kind of bank some reps and all of
a sudden, you know, when you're running out there, it's
not like, holy crap, like I'm playing in front of
twenty thousand, Like you're going out there and doing your job.
So I'd say, you know, it takes probably six seven
games kind of Okay, grow mature a little bit, knock
off those pregames. And obviously as you go from red
shirt freshman, sophomore, junior, senior, it gets a little bit

(33:26):
better and better, easier and easier each year. But I'd
say about you know, five to six games before like
you're out there like, okay, I'm here, I'm a divisual
and football player. I belong here. I've played against some
good players. I can hold my own, and then you
can start, you know, finally doing some good things on
the football.

Speaker 1 (33:39):
Field, because by the end of that sophomore or red
shirt freshman, you're into so like you no longer like
a new guys, no new way around, right exactly, like
you know where all the exits are.

Speaker 6 (33:48):
Yeah, and you're expected to at that point. Yeah, for sure.
That's how they train you and get you ready. Here
at NDSU, we do have a text message here as
well from Tadak the Polish buys in and saying hello,
gentlemen can congratulations to the players and coaches for winning
at least the share of the Missouri Valley title. Is
mister Stuffle ever gonna be covered what a fantastic tight
end he is onto the yoakes go bins in. I'm

(34:11):
not gonna take credit for him, but he was my
player to watch pre game. Joe Stuffle and he gets
his first touchdown since the game against Etsu backs it
up with two touchdowns today senior to senior at Cam
Miller to Joe Stuff a pretty awesome day for him.

Speaker 7 (34:26):
Yeah. I think he just has one of those like
knacks and like zone cut like he can just find
the soft spot. And obviously Joe's a heck of a
player and he's never a shot at the next level.
But no, I think he's just really good at, you know,
in those red zone situations, you know, twenty five yard line,
and he's really good at find the soft spot in
the zone. And him and Cam obviously have a very
good connection that they know Whereach is going to be
at at all times.

Speaker 6 (34:46):
I think he was a real benefit or got the
benefit of the running game today because both of his
touchdowns came inside the five. One of them was on
I believe a fourth and goal. I was able to
get a touchdown when I think Ndsu was everyone's expecting
Ndsu to run it, and the other one came after
picking up the first down on that fourth down attempt
from Marty Brown next play end of the half. They're thinking, well,

(35:07):
maybe they're gonna try and run it. Nope, stuffle out
to the other side and completely wide open on both accounts.

Speaker 1 (35:11):
Yeah, if you're gonna play tight end at NDISU, number one,
you're gonna block a lot. But number two is if
you can find the spots, they will get you the ball.
It has shown time and time again that NDSU tight
ends are going to be a part of the offense.
But your number one job is to block your number
one job. It's you're not the pass receiving you know,
guy who's gonna get you know, sixty catches this year.

(35:34):
That's never gonna happen. But again, when you get your
number called, it's time to make it happen. And Stuff
has been doing that for the last couple of years
as a regular starter, and so it's great to see
him a real weapon on senior day. Get get a
little fun, you know, get a little touchdown time, and
that's great for the seniors.

Speaker 6 (35:52):

Who made the difference today for the Bison. This is
the Dakota Refrigeration player of the game.

Speaker 6 (40:08):
Miller under center takes the snap, boots to his right,
fires and so got his man, Joe Stuffle. He was
wide open off the play. Accident fake and once again
they connect Miller and a Stuffle for the second time
today and the Bison punch it in before halftime thirty
four fourteen, well eight seconds to go here in the

(40:31):
first half. Welcome back to bineson hotline. We just talked
about him, and there he is. Joe Stuffle. The touchdown
reception one of two touchdown receptions for Joe Stuffle on
the day. Fifty nine to twenty one the final NDSU
beats Missouri State and Joe Stuffele is our Dakota Refrigeration

phone calls with us here on seven at seven zero
one four seven six sixteen sixty. First up, Milt from
Atlanta giving us a call. Milt, you're here with us
on Buyson Hotline. What do you want to talk about?

Speaker 26 (41:32):
Hey, well, I'm actually from Fargo, but I live in
three different cities. But I'm an old military veteran Navy
guy with the Marines, and I just thank you for
much us feeling about uh Tim Polsek. You know, I
was bummed down a bit that Tyler didn't get it.

(41:52):
But in the back of my mind, I just thought
this guy has been into the you know, FBS with
Iowa and then seeing you know, the Boise States and
all the teams that he faced at Wyoming. So it's
brought us a different you know, it just feels different
this year. And you can tell this team loves to practice,

(42:15):
and I think it's all from him and these coaches
like Grant and you know, they just assembled a great.

Speaker 7 (42:23):
Group this year.

Speaker 26 (42:24):
You know, it's just you know, we were worried about
it at first, but man, has it come along.

Speaker 6 (42:32):
Were right there with you, Bil, Thanks for the call,
appreciate it, really good observations from you. I'm right there
with you. Know, let's go back at you revision his history,
if you will, go back to last year when Tim
Poulsick was named the head coach. We all know that
Tyler Roll was up for the job. Tim mentioned that himself,
you know, a really good friend of mine, someone I
really respect, meaning Tyler Roll was up for this thing
as well. And you know, Tyler's doing great things at

(42:53):
Iowa State right now. I think we're all you know,
it's a lose, loose situation, like either a guy we
all like and admire and Tim polisk who's been around
here a lot's not going to get the job, or
Tyler Roll's not gonna get the job. Like that's this
the the way those things go. But it's hard to
look back down and say they didn't make the right decision.
Tim Paulasek has done a great job. He has really
helped this team continue to grow and come forward with

(43:14):
a lot of new pieces in some different spots. And
I think he's reignited the fan base and the community
around this program a little bit.

Speaker 1 (43:19):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (43:19):
You know, I'll be the first to say when that
when Coach ns announced that he was going to USC obviously,
like I was one of the guys that went to
bat and I went up and met with Matt Larson
in his office say, you know, you know, Tyler Rowlan
needs to be the next guy. And I actually had
this conversation with Matt Larson at the Illinois State basketball game.
I was talking with him and you know, we're kind
of after you take a step back and kind of

(43:40):
leave the emotions at the door and love Tyroll to death.
He will be an NBSU head coach at some point
in his career. He will come back here.

Speaker 6 (43:47):
He needed some experience somewhere else he did, and you
know he's getting that right now.

Speaker 7 (43:50):
And right away I was, you know, I was all
coach role cultural Coltrol. I knew coach police like. I
was like, it needs to be Coltroll looking back now,
taking a step back, you know, And that's why Matt
Larson and Todd Phelps and those guys are making decisions
and not twenty two to twenty three year olds on
the football team, right but those guys, Kudos and Matt Larson,
Todd Phelps, President Cook. They did their due diligence and

(44:12):
they made the right selection coach policy. Like what he's brought,
Like you said, you know, having the experience at Iowa
with Tristan Wurf's in the Big ten and some of
those big time games, going to Wyoming and being in
the FBS and you know, knock on the wood being
in a Mountain and West conference. Pretty soon, you know,
we'll see what happens. But it was a home run
higher and you know, love coach all to death. He's
a heck of a coach. He's doing great at Iowa State.

(44:34):
He'll be back here eventually. But I think he'll be back.
He'll be a better version of coach Roll when he
does come. Yeah.

Speaker 6 (44:38):
Absolutely, he's getting better experience. Like ten, Paulsek is a
better coach now than he was when he was just
here at NDSU.

Speaker 26 (44:43):
For sure.

Speaker 1 (44:43):
It's a vibe. It's just a different vibe. It's not better,
it's not worse. It's just a different vibe. It's just
like it was a different vibe going to climbing from
bowl from climbing to and it's just a different vibe,
and sometimes that vibe is what you need to kind
of There's a cool, like we're gonna win, confident vibe,
and that's awesome. But then there's the I'm up in

(45:05):
your face, I'm gonna shake every hand, I'm gonna kiss
every baby, I'm gonna go to every Kowanis meeting, I'm
gonna i'm gonna beat the pavement to make people excited.
And that's what Tim Paulisik gets. As far as on
the field goal, I would think that coach p and
coach Roll are the same person, yep. But on the
other side of that coin, there's more than just on

(45:26):
the field. On the field is maybe even like the
third thing you might look for as far as a
head coach CEO exactly like you just have to have
that and I think that, uh yeah, Coach Paulisik has
been really good in doing that here this year.

Speaker 6 (45:39):
There are so many other things you have to do
besides coaching football as a head coach of the Division
one program right now, and I think the biggest benefit
Poulisek had is the experience of other places. He saw
what a Kirk ference had to do, He saw what
coach Craig Bowl was doing at Wyoming and how they
were out in the community and how they can conue
to rally a fan base around a program. Those are

(46:00):
big things, and he was better out for it. Tyler
will be better off for it at some point, you know,
fingers crossed that we keep on winning games, Politics probably
gonna have an opportunity somewhere and Tyler Roll will have
a chance back here and Fargo more than likely.

Speaker 7 (46:11):
Absolutely. It's kind of funny too. When I came in
as a freshman, obviously, Coach Roll was still just the
tight ends. Coach Courtney Messingham was our OC and Politic
had just left to go to Iowa, and all those
older guys like East and Stick, you know Darius, they
would all like, oh, Coach Roll's just he's a many TP,
He's a mini Tim Paulson. Yeah, he's like very are
very like they're in each other's weddings, like they're extremely tight.

Speaker 6 (46:32):
A lot of the was emotional when Tyler yeah, and.

Speaker 7 (46:35):
Just there's like, yeah, they're the same person, not the
same person, but they're very similar.

Speaker 6 (46:41):
And you know, I think in person a couple of
years apart, exactly both.

Speaker 7 (46:45):
Parties are going to be excited, you know, five years
from now that this happened, and then coach Roll can
go grow, see a different system, kind of get out
in college football and then come back and be a.

Speaker 6 (46:54):
Best Tyler will become an offensive coordinator at I don't know,
like Boise State, because I mean Tim Poulsike goes to
Iowa role goes to Iowa State, pauls went to Wyoming.
Those roles you know statement I don't know happen in
Washington State. Maybe something like that before he ends up
back hearing it could definitely happen. So Milt, thank you

(47:15):
for the call. I think the other portion of what
he had to say, though, was he mentioned Grant Olsen.
He mentioned a few other guys. Give credit as well
to Tim Pauliske because of some of those connections. Knowing
the right assistance to bring in here. That includes Jake
Landry as the offensive coordinator. Had a relationship with him
from the Northern Illinois days and was able to get
him here. He has been phenomenal as an offensive coordinator.

(47:35):
He put up fifty nine points today against a team
that've been really good and undefeated in the Valley. That's phenomenal.
We've put up over fifty points a couple of games
here he has been great at that spot. And then yeah,
Grant Olson and then it's just the Bison guys. I
think that was again getting more of that Bison flavor
into the coaching staff of yeah, not just still grand
Olsen becoming defensive coordinator, but all of a sudden there's

(47:56):
a climate on the staff again. Devin Climban's here, and
little Carlton of course, and Taylor, Jared Taylor's on staff
right now. Right We've got to climbing in a tailor
back around the football program like all those things. They
might be smaller, but I think that adds to people
knowing what the Bison culture is a little bit and
kind of reinstilling that in this program throughout the year. Absolutely,
I don't think that it was gone or missing, but no,

(48:18):
it's important.

Speaker 1 (48:18):
I don't think at any time in the future that
you see a wholesale just firesalexpt getting rid of everybody
and changing your culture and starting over. It's just indisu
is kind of I hate to say it. The reason
why we aren't FBS is because of where we are.
But where we are is what makes us what we
are at NDSU, you know, and speaking in the weed terms,
but fan based team support, all of that included. Where

(48:40):
we are is because of who we are, and people
who don't fit that mold just don't cut it. And
that's not against them, it's just it's a different vibe again,
a whole different thing that goes on. And so long
story short, we're in a very good place. I don't
think it's an accident that Indisu has run off this
this great scene thus far.

Speaker 6 (49:01):
Yeah, one head coach is good too, Okay, a little
lucky three Okay, this is this is a trend now
and especially once you're on the fourth then you keep
on winning. This is just something that is here for
a long long time. How about Tom and Fargo? Tom
giving us a call as well. Seven zero one four
seven six sixteen sixty. Tom, you're with us here on
Binns and hotline. What are your thoughts?

Speaker 27 (49:20):
Yes, sir, so the first time caller, but a long
time listener. And I'm often linking after I'm delivering. I
do a lot of delivery, and I listened to the game.
So my first question was somewhat answered already I was
asking I was too unrelated questions. So The first one
was if the Bears are going into FBS and how

(49:44):
bad they are, why aren't we but Dan location, that
would be probably part of it. But we're obviously qualified.
I mean we Ndsu was obviously qualified. Where the Bears
you wonder if they are qualified at all? And then second,
cam Miller seems to really shine this year under Paula Sack.

(50:07):
Is it because of a different head coach? He just
seemed to struggle under ms and it just looked like
Pateon was gonna. I thought Peyton was better, But boy,
cam Miller's done so well this year.

Speaker 13 (50:20):
Is it just me?

Speaker 28 (50:21):
Or is it?

Speaker 27 (50:22):
Or is this something? Am I noticing something correctly?

Speaker 17 (50:27):
Well?

Speaker 6 (50:28):
Thank you, Tom, appreciate it all. That's a very good
first call. It's an elite level first call to buis
a hotline from Tom. Well done. First one. First, Bears
are going to the FBS. Yes, they're going to Conference USA.
It does have to do with location. Springfield not a
bad town, a hard time to get to either. It's
in the middle of America, so Conference USA will fit
for them. How competitive will they be? We'll see. There

(50:49):
have been some teams, you know, Sam Houston that was
kind of up and down at the FBS or FCS level.
When then it went to FBS, they were really bad
for a couple years. They're actually I think a seven
win team right now this year. Jacksonville State had some
really good years actually at the FBS. Two these top
level teams at the FCS level have been able to
compete in some of those conferences, and I think conference
you would say they'll be somewhat middle of the pack

(51:12):
ish early on.

Speaker 7 (51:13):
Yeah, I just I mean, it's just I mean, NDSCUO
obviously we're the most We're more qualified to be in
the FBS than half the FBS by my standards, maybe
even more, maybe even more. Honestly, Yeah, it's it's frustrating
as a former player as a fan now to like
NBC right now, if we're in the Mountain West this year,
I just say, put us in the Mountain West. I

(51:35):
think we're probably right there with Boise State, like possibly
running the table. Looking at you know, are we gonna.

Speaker 6 (51:40):
Have a good kind of state but are better than them? Yet?

Speaker 7 (51:43):
Are we having a shot to potentially play in the
first round of the College Football Playoff? Maybe? Who knows,
but uh, obviously that's it's not about the product we
put on the football field. There's a thousand different you know,
revenue and just all of the stuff that goes into
that that is above our pay grade. But and then
on Camp Miller, I would just Cam Miller has been
a really really good quarterback for the last two years.

(52:05):
I think now we're kind of the media and everyone's
given him his flowers a little bit, but he's been
a He's been a top quarterback in the FCS the
past two years. Yeah, I mean, you look at his
stats last year.

Speaker 6 (52:13):
I mean, the top rated quarterback last year, he was
aff I mean.

Speaker 7 (52:17):
So coach p and Coach Landry have added different flavors
to it, and I think that's allowed Cam to kind
of make the offense a little bit more of his own.
But I think Cam's been a heck of a quarterback
for two three years.

Speaker 6 (52:27):
I think one thing on Cam about you know Tom's
question about it, he just seems like he's flourishing this year.
And this is not a shot at the guy we
just praised because I love the dude to death, Tyler Roll.
But I think Jake Landry and Tim Polisek, both being
former quarterbacks and have played that position as well, I
think that helps Cam because when you're talking to him,

(52:47):
you're speaking the same language. You know, Oh you saw this,
this is what you saw, and it doesn't go through
somebody else's eyes. Where Tyler Roll saw the game from
the full back running back position, that's what he sees
the game through and that meaning he didn't want to throw.
We threw fine, fine. Last year we were able to
spread the ball around quite a bit, especially you know
Zach and Eli there towards the end of the year.
But the number of guys you're getting involved in the

(53:07):
passing game, the way they are opening things up and
being able to find some different avenues for him to
have success, I think it's been really impressive. And I
think it is because you do have two former quarterbacks
on the stafferge yeah, I agree, And then he added
Randy Hedberg on top of it.

Speaker 1 (53:20):
You know, I love talking in analogy, whether it's buffets
or whatever it might be. The Cam Miller has been
a very good chest of drawers in someone's home for
a lot of years, and then all of a sudden
somebody comes along and said, you know, if you sanded
down that paint or sanded down that varnish and put
it fresh coat of paint on it and then put
it in this room. It's gonna be even better.

Speaker 6 (53:39):
Yea yeah.

Speaker 1 (53:40):
And those people come around and repurpose something that is
already great.

Speaker 6 (53:43):
Than in a good chest at a garage sale, and
it's really nice to update that thing and you.

Speaker 1 (53:47):
And I think that's what's going on with Cam is like,
you know, you got as good as you were going
to be under the system, You're it, but then somebody
takes you and puts you in a different situation, and
all of a sudden, now your skill looks a different way.
And I think that he is flourishing. If you would
this year into the Walter Payton Ward finalists that we
believe he is, if not winner, front runner, I think

(54:08):
that it is taking somebody is like, gosh, look at
this really nice piece. If we just do this to
it and we add this code of paint and we
put it in this other room, it's going to look phenomenal.
And I think that's what's really happened with Cam. I
think that the confidence is through the roof. He's been
putting good positions, hasn't been asked to do a whole
lot and I think now with the injury to Cole
Painton this year, it's evident he is not going to

(54:30):
be running the ball at least in the regular season.
That might come back more to the playoffs when it's
everything Zo the kitchen sink is into it. So I
think that that has maybe again changed who he is
going to be and what he is going to be.

Speaker 6 (54:42):
He's had to change his game throughout his career. His
entire career has been very impressive and strange and odd
compared to most quarterbacks at the college table, and he's.

Speaker 1 (54:50):
Filling in rather large Nike shoes. Of the last three
quarterbacks that have been there, four quarterbacks that have been there.

Speaker 6 (54:57):
Breaking their records. He didn't do it today, but he
will be breaking past Brock Jensen today. But he will
be breaking Easton Stick's career passing yards record next week.

Speaker 7 (55:06):
Yeah, because he's filling in for Bryce Lance's older brother.

Speaker 6 (55:10):
Yeah, he's the older brother. The way we phraised that
older brother player profile.

Speaker 1 (55:16):
I guess he was here for a cup of coffee
and took off and made millions.

Speaker 7 (55:19):
Whatever.

Speaker 6 (55:19):
There you go. We were going to take a break,
but somebody's on hold of it now that if I
go to break. I don't know if we'll ever hear
from him again, because we haven't heard from him for
a couple of weeks. The Icon is calling us up Fargo.
I'm gonna tell you, Icon before we have you on,
Chris Hansen was doubting if you were ever going to
call into buison hotline again. So just letting letting you
know that and welcome to the show.

Speaker 29 (55:41):
Well, I'll tell you what. I appreciate that. Oh well,
give you guys my points store, give you my icon
staying of the week. But uh, you know I've said
this before about cam Miller that you know he I
don't know if I have to keep repeating with as
you know, he really didn't have that that understudy session

(56:02):
right the rest of the quarterbacks prior to him, did
you know he basically was on the job learning. I mean,
what else can you say about a young man like this?
And as everybody knows, I've been praising cam Miller from
the time they named him as a starter all through
now and that will not change. And I'm going to
make a little prediction right now and then you guys

(56:24):
can discuss it. You are going to probably see cam
Miller go in the late round in the NFL draft,
and he'll become a backup to a team that is
deserving and you can't pick anybody better than Cam Miller.
And I'll leave you guys with this saying, when you
are comfortable you can do anything, I'll hang up and

(56:46):
listen to your thoughts. Guys, Thanks, thank you.

Speaker 6 (56:49):
I kind of appreciate the call of that guy. He's back,
He's bad, he never ever left. Right there the icon
giving us a call on the hot line seven zero
one four seven six sixteen sixty as NDYSU wins this
one fifty nine twenty one. Yeah, that is exactly what
we were just kind of pointing out. Actually is the
career that Cam has had. I still think it could
be an ESPN thirty for thirty. He comes in, it's

(57:09):
in the middle of COVID. You think, oh, this is
Trey Lance guy. He's gonna be here for three years
at least, right, I'm gonna learn from this dude. All
of a sudden, everybody wants him, and it goes crazy
and he becomes an NFL draft pick, and he plays
one more game while you're here at NDSU. And it
was in a spring or a fall season that nobody
can pay attention to, the showcase game against Central Arkansas,
and now all of a sudden, we go into the
spring and zeb Noland is the quarterback who has kind

(57:31):
of only been here for a cup of coffee, and
you're learning from him, and all of a sudden you
got to go in and replace him. During that spring season,
you're playing in a playoff game that doesn't go quite
your way against Sam Houston, so they bring in another
quarterback in Quincy Patterson. He beats you out. In the
fall when everybody else is transferring, Cam doesn't transfer, even
though he didn't win the job that he had had before.

(57:52):
That ends up being the backup, and he actually comes
in that next season against Missouri State inside the Fargo Dome,
leads a comeback touchdown pass in the corner of the
end z Onder Christian Watson over Montrey Braswell, and the
rest is kind of history. He leads them to a championship.
He's been here as long as he has. He's gotten better.
The due who was a fighter, he clawed and made
himself better. He wasn't being maybe gifted with the best

(58:12):
skill set or the most athleticism were the biggest arm
or the biggest stature, but he just continued to make
himself better, continued to work at his craft, and knew
if he did that and put in the work, he'd
be rewarded with it, and he absolutely has.

Speaker 1 (58:23):
I am adding that thirty for thirty to my live
bank right now. Whenever that's on, I'm recording it because
I want to see that. And it is really quite
a story of perseverance in a day and age where
a lot of young men are deciding that my grass
is going to be mode and greener somewhere else. Cam
is stuck with it. And I think that that comes.
I've known his family just a little bit, and I

(58:45):
would expect nothing less after meeting a lot of his
family members where he came from his dad as a coach,
and it's no accident or no coincidence that those things.

Speaker 6 (58:54):
Are soul in Iowa.

Speaker 1 (58:55):
They're coming from him.

Speaker 7 (58:56):
And I know there was tough decisions that Cam, you know,
tough conversations he had with his other with you know,
guys like East and stuff. When you know Quincy kind
of beat him out after the COVID whatever. He's go
from starter and then Quincy comes in from Virginia Tech.
And he's the kind of this big six ' four
physical runner, not Cam Miller, not camp But then you know,
I kind of go back, you know how Cody Mauk

(59:17):
was talking about Baker Mayfield earlier in our pregame show,
just you know, a fighter like you just love playing
for a guy like that like Cam Miller kind of
brings that same energy, that same vibe to the NBACU
football team, like a little underside me. But he does exactly.
And like he said, once you get comfortable, you can
do anything. And he's kind of got that you know fire.
He's a little bit more vocal fire than maybe an
eastern Er tray. And you know, I think just the

(59:38):
way Cam is, you know, embrace this community, embraced buys
in football. And like you said, you know, there's gonna
be an NFL team that is going to be licking
their chops to get Cam Miller in a late round.
And you've got a guy like brock perty in San
Francisco that you know, mister irrelevant, last pick of the
draft and goes there and just works his butt off,
does all the right things and often always playing in
the Super Bowl. I'm not gonna put the cart for
the horse with Cam. But he that's out there for

(01:00:00):
him if you want it. He's gonna the opportunity to
get the NFL. Who knows where he goes, finds the
right system. Good oc. You know, the sky's the limit
for that kid. So just look forward to him finishing
out his career winning the Walter Payton, potentially winning winning
the Natty. Right off from the sunset. Get that Senior Bowl.
Invite Jim Naggy if you're listening, I know you' Jim Naggy.
You're a big listener of the Bison Hotline. Give cam

(01:00:21):
Miller's Senior Bowl another one.

Speaker 6 (01:00:25):
Rental car safe you say.

Speaker 7 (01:00:28):
Funny the Senior Bowl. He'll show you can play and
then you know, all the rest will be history. But yeah,
I just absolutely love that kid, and he's been a
great friend of mine and obviously a great teammate as well.

Speaker 6 (01:00:37):
I do think he has made himself some money this year,
potentially getting into those late runs. I don't know for
sure if it will happen here, but he's proven he's
at least capable of it. You bring up you know,
Brock Purty, I look at you, Cam Miller, six foot
one right now. You look at his measurables at least
as it stands right now in Indy is hus website
six foot one, two twelve. I look at brock Party
right now, six foot one, two twenty. You can put

(01:00:57):
on a couple of pounds at the NFL. Wait, you
add some of that stuf up just to be bigger
for that next level is same size, same look as
brock Party. Doesn't mean he's going to have the career
of rock Party, right brock Perty got lucky to have
the career brock Party's happen. He had people go down
in front of them, injuries happened. He took advantage of
the opportunity. But Cam, I think we'll have an opportunity
for sure in a camp hopefully on senior at the
Senior Bowl as well. I'm right there with you. I

(01:01:17):
think he's earned a spot there. And if he's a
Walter Payton Award winner and a national champion, what more
do you want from the guy at that point?

Speaker 1 (01:01:23):
Yeah, that's gonna definitely get you a little bit. Somebody
will look at.

Speaker 7 (01:01:26):
You at that point, and if it's not the Senior Bowl,
he'll for sure be an East West Shrine guy. He'll
play in some and he'll be trained for the NFL.

Speaker 6 (01:01:32):
So I do like the phrase of the day or
of the week they're from the icon. Once you're comfortable,
you can do anything. I've always been told you you
gotta be uncomfortable. You'd be comfortable being uncomfortable, right but
I will Sandy, YESU looks comfortable right now. Like no,
maybe you gotta get back to being uncomfortable. I don't
know exactly how you do that, but like looking comfortable
I think is a good thing because they had just
feel like they've got a groove right now. They feel

(01:01:53):
like they know this offense. Cam's got a mastery of it,
even though it's a new offensive coordinator. The defense feels
just comfortable. They know what they're doing right now. The safeties,
I love Darius Gibbons's play in this game. There were
some bigger runs. He was on the back end and
got tackles and that wasn't happening early on in the season.
I loved how they see that they have been playing comfortable,
which usually we say you don't want to be comfortable

(01:02:13):
right now, they looks like they are that way, and
it's a good thing.

Speaker 7 (01:02:15):
They're so comfortable being uncomfortable that they're just comfortable and
it's just it's working right now. I love it. It's working.

Speaker 6 (01:02:20):
Comfortability uncomfortable. Please stay uncomfortably comfortable.

Speaker 7 (01:02:24):

By now you know that Bison sixteen sixty is your
home for North Dakota State Athletics. All coverage originates from
the First Western Bank Broadcast Center.

Speaker 6 (01:06:41):
Hiller Stancy. It looks to us like the fire's watching
off the eccode touchdown. They got right back out to
Coonan top of the key, wide open for a three hecent.
You metcha, Avery, Coon.

Speaker 4 (01:06:53):
It It all comes to you live from the First
Western Bank Broadcast Center, First Western Bank and Bison sixteen.
You can bank on us time for more reaction from
today's game. Furrey game is your host, Andy Rickoff Miller.

Speaker 6 (01:07:09):
Under center, pools Away gives the Brown off right guard.
There he goes to the forty thirty five Mary Party
finally has a whole run ten to five touchdown. Marty
Brown forty eight yard household. He's got the big run
that he's been looking for all season long. Well blocked
up front, he might have gotten three one touched and

(01:07:32):
Lebis it waste no time adding to their total. They're
up forty one fourteen with thirteen oh three to play
in the hand. In the second half, Marty Brown broke
the big one Fills. He broke it forty eight yards
to the house. Marty Brown part of his one hundred
and thirteen yards on the ground, and those are forty
eight of the three hundred and sixty four the NDSU

(01:07:54):
racked up today along with three touchdowns on the ground
in route to a fifty nine to twenty one victory
over Missouri. Stea congratulations Marty Brown on that one. He
has definitely been the poster running back here for DYSU.
And if him and break are are going to do
what they did today in terms of averaging right around
fifteen yards per carry between the two of them, you're
not going to be stopping NDSU anytime soon.

Speaker 7 (01:08:14):
No, give him a couple of flashbacks back, Bruce Anderson,
Lance Don I was just saying the same.

Speaker 1 (01:08:18):
Thing like John Krockett, some of those longs that just busted,
Like ah, sweet, where the last couple of years, it's
been the long runs from the quarterbacks. Yep, right, that
have been the long, long touchdown runs. So it's it's
really cool to see the running back room get to
get a little space and get out and run. Let
those horses run.

Speaker 7 (01:08:33):
And I've been I keep giving Coach Kramer and pass games.
You know, crap will be like, oh, the'se running back.
They just can't break the big one. These guys are
slower than back with me and Gindy and the guys
some more explosive today, Like when Brika died, he kind
of looked over than Marty Cash. Yeah, I told you
we're still.

Speaker 6 (01:08:48):
Doing They still got that breakaway Steve breakaway.

Speaker 27 (01:08:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:08:52):
See this is explosive as you it might be more explosive.
I love it. There you go, big stuff from Marty Brown.
Indisu wins this one going away seven zero one four
seven six sixteen sixty caller text us at that number.

lubafargo's scoreboard, shall we? A couple of games still underway

(01:09:35):
here at the FCS level. First off, across the Missouri
Valley Football Conference. That's a real shame. What's happening up
to the north side of the town here. Un D
falls at home forty two thirty six. USD gets the
victory over the Fighting Hawks. U indeed did make it
a little bit closer, but USD had I think it
was a twenty eight point lead at one point. The
Fighting Hawks come back and make it a single digit loss,

(01:09:57):
but still will win for USD. Back to back losses
at home for UND.

Speaker 1 (01:10:01):
A good first half from u n D today, and
we're really seventeen standing up and saying, hey, this is
our senior day, and they wanted to make sure that
they had, you know, send bubble off.

Speaker 7 (01:10:10):
With a wait.

Speaker 1 (01:10:11):
I didn't just say that, would that be? Would that
be a couple of weeks in a row that we
send somebody off to last.

Speaker 7 (01:10:16):
Time we had and anyway, somebody we want to keep
him there, Bubba there as long as possible.

Speaker 1 (01:10:22):
But a better outcome today of being a couple of
touchdown underdog and still showing some fight and scoring with
a couple of seconds left to keep it to a
one score game. But the future does not look rosy
up by twenty nine.

Speaker 7 (01:10:34):
And their hockey teams losing right now to I hate
to see that three to two.

Speaker 6 (01:10:38):
I guess Denver.

Speaker 7 (01:10:39):
Denver's good though, that is true, Yeah they are.

Speaker 6 (01:10:41):
They're a good true story by the pilot. No one
really watches bo Bell quiz. By the way, ten receptions,
ninety six yards and a touchdown for their very good receiver.
I think he's gonna have a shot somewhere at a
camp at the NFL level. Uh, he's gonna be a
good player there is that. That's the next opponent. Also
for Endy issue is USD giving up thirty six against
the fighting Hawks? Is this you take anything away from
this to be I know it's hard to do.

Speaker 7 (01:11:02):
But yeah, I don't.

Speaker 1 (01:11:04):
I was just wondering what so obviously they're sharing the
conference championship next week will be a de facto conference
championship game, right, if you win it, you get it
all all alone. And so that that's kind of cool that,
you know, we don't have a conference championship game per se,
but it's cool that both teams are going to be
playing for that and ultimately a number one seed, like

(01:11:25):
you could maybe.

Speaker 6 (01:11:26):
Thinks that they win that game next week against the Buyerson,
they're gonna be a top two seeds.

Speaker 1 (01:11:29):
And convincingly they might squeak into that number two.

Speaker 2 (01:11:32):
No.

Speaker 6 (01:11:32):
I know they did lose to.

Speaker 1 (01:11:33):
SDSU, but that was a very tight game. They should
have won that game, and I know should there's not
it's win or lost.

Speaker 7 (01:11:39):
There's no should us.

Speaker 1 (01:11:40):
But so I think there's plenty for USD to try
to play for in uh next week in Vermilion.

Speaker 6 (01:11:45):
Players for Endys didn't play for it too, because you
gotta win that game. If you lose it, you're not
going to have home through the vantage and the road
is not coming through the Fargo dom. I think you
still have the first round buy. You're not going up
and playing on Thanksgiving or anything. They'll be a first
round buy in the playoffs. Basically, no matter what here
for ENDYSU, but home field throughout just definitely still in
play next weekend.

Speaker 7 (01:12:01):
Yeah, and you know, looking at the score, I know
USD obviously offensively, you know, in Bauman's back, big lefty quarterback,
he can push the ball downfield. They're running back Travis
Tye number five probably you know, I'll put Marty Brown
and he's probably one of the best running backs in
the year. Yeah, number twenty one. He's a good player too.
And I think they have a they have a really
good dB or safety out there. So it's gonna be

(01:12:23):
a that's gonna be a really good game down in
a now in Vermilion. We'll see. Hey, it's uh the
code is conference championship.

Speaker 6 (01:12:29):
This sweets and fans yep finale.

Speaker 1 (01:12:32):
Finale put that and there are still a lot of
tickets available before that.

Speaker 6 (01:12:36):
Yeah, you encourage fans get there.

Speaker 1 (01:12:39):
Yes, absolutely, we're doing the Leave Fargo at seven, get
to Soux Falls, have some lunch, and then get to
the game, go to the game, and then get home
and drive right back and be home by eight o'clock tomorrow.

Speaker 6 (01:12:49):
Next Saturday, Great Saturday family affairs.

Speaker 1 (01:12:52):
Yeah, listen to hotline while you guys are working and
I'm enjoying my ride home with the dubb. We should
call it maybe maybe maybe catch me somewhere around Brandon
or Tea or somewhere.

Speaker 6 (01:13:02):
You'll actually be calling in with Jake and Brad Jones
next Oh you're Alaska. Next week, I'll be in Alaska.
I'll be on an iceberg somewhere. We could do like
a five screen.

Speaker 7 (01:13:14):
Guy in the red zone. We're gonna go with the
October Docta box.

Speaker 1 (01:13:19):
The quad box of phone calls.

Speaker 6 (01:13:20):
We might have a women's basketball game, by the way,
that could start near eleven pm.

Speaker 7 (01:13:24):
Toy.

Speaker 6 (01:13:24):
So if we're in the championship, are they The sun
doesn't set situation up there? I have heard somewhere around
ten thirty rise and around four sunset. Okay, so not
all day sun, not all day sun or the darkness
all day right okes, but that is the case at all.
I don't know for sure. I will call in with
the report on Bison Hotland. That's a tease for everybody

(01:13:46):
next Saturday, Bison Hotline right back here at Appleby's have
a chance to win some more tickets and also take
some take home some Bison swag. Next week and Brad
Jones be filling in for me on that one. Other
scores though in the valley. That was the final there
up in the Alias Center. How about Murray State on
the road against Kentucky. They got inside the ten ones
and then they fumbled it away. They did score, They
got a couple of field goals forty eight to six

(01:14:08):
against Kentucky. They lose that one, no Shock SDSU. At
home against Southern Illinois, that one was forty one to
ten all Jack Grebitz. They scored twenty eight points in
the second quarter. Markronowski eleven of seventeen, one point eighty seven,
Lamar Johnson fourteen carries one fifty seven and two touchdowns
on the ground for the Jacks. Illinois State gets their
eighth win of the year and puts themselves really, I

(01:14:29):
think into the playoffs. I thinking if they lose next week,
eight wins, a lot of teams are on the bubble
with seven right now, I think they're going to be
in decent, decent shape. They win thirty one to nineteen
at Indiana State. If they win next week and at
home against und then they're for sure in. And I
think he did nine and three sixty two of the
Valley depends on some other things might need a break

(01:14:51):
to go their way. Be hard to get four seeded
teams from any one conference is because committee members don't
like doing that. But I think they have a legitimate
argument for at the very least.

Speaker 7 (01:15:01):
Yeah, I mean I it's a I remember we were
talking about this, I think off air during the pregame.
But like back in the day when it was like
you know, six or seven and even maybe even the
eighth Valley team like probably deserve to get in over
someone from right right in Northeastern or Caer. But it's
kind of crazy. Just think the Valley's like fourteens right now,
I have to go to the playoffs.

Speaker 1 (01:15:19):
Like it's very top heavy.

Speaker 6 (01:15:21):
Yeah, to Southern Illinois, there's his other quarterbacks, right, something
like that happens. Missouri State would be a playoff team
this year, but with their FBS and they're not eligible
for it, so some other things play a factor there.
But Illinois State Tommy Rittenhouse three hundred nineteen yards and
three touchdowns passing there for the Red Birds. They win
at thirty one to nineteen. And we talked about you
and I earlier on during pregame coverage. I said, maybe

(01:15:41):
they're gonna fight from Mark Farley here. They did. They
were behind fourteen nothing early. They end up scoring the
next twenty one points. They had a twenty one to
fourteen lead. It would go to overtime. They scored first,
went up thirty eight thirty one, but then Youngstown State
scored and went for two and got it. The Penguins
win at thirty nine thirty eight final in overtime there
over the Panthers.

Speaker 7 (01:16:02):
Or then Iowa Owen seven seven in the Valley.

Speaker 6 (01:16:05):
Wow, you tell twenty fifteen us that no, never never
want to go ns. I mean, yeah, maybe they fall
off a little bit, maybe they're third, fourth, Owen seven
is just uncomprehendible for any Northern Iowa.

Speaker 7 (01:16:18):
Is that the only team that doesn't have a win
in the Valley?

Speaker 6 (01:16:20):
Murray Murray doesn't team. Yeah, Murray's also it is only five.

Speaker 1 (01:16:24):
It seems ridiculous to put those two in the same category.

Speaker 6 (01:16:27):
Wow, yeah, it does. I mean so then when we
got off the schneid, they got a victory, came back
from down twenty eight points. So they're one in six
in valley play. Yeah, everybody else you've been Indiana State
three and four but right now as Northern Iowa at
the rear and seven in Valley play this season. So
there go all the scores in the Valley this week.
How about we go out. There's some other scores across
the FCS. One going on right now, Idaho up seven

(01:16:49):
nothing at home against Weaver State. That one very close
back and forth. Mercer probably gonna be a playoff team.
They're at nine to two. Definitely a playoff team. Actually
they have the AQ. They lose at Alabama today, no shocker, there,
no disrespect to them, not a bad loss, but fifty
two to seven, absolute blowout. Mercer's defense has not been
great here the last month. I get that thing figured
out before they get going into the playoffs. Richmond has

(01:17:10):
solidified the A key as well for the Big Sky.
So the Richmond Spiders are going to the playoffs out
of the CAAA with some other results. Today Richmond gets
the win twenty four to twenty one over Hampton. That's
the story of the CIA. Even the teams with a
lot of wins, Richmond's got nine, probably going to get
to ten. A lot of their wins are twenty four
to twenty one over Hampton. It's just none of them
are really that sexy or impressive, but somehow they pull

(01:17:31):
it off and they win. To give them credit for that,
Villanova couldn't do that today. They lost Villanova on the
road at Monmouth thirty forty to thirty three. Monmouth beats Villanova.
Lewis Walker out there from Raby's an assistant coach, So
show up to Lewis Walker as the defensive coordinator there.
Monmouth gets the win. They're five and six, Villanova eight
and three. Definitely not going to be a seeded team

(01:17:52):
anymore and they will not get the AQ, but they
will be a playoff team out of the CAA one
of probably five and I don't know if they should
be getting that many, but they probably will.

Speaker 7 (01:18:00):
Yees way unfortunate. Just do Big Sky in Missouri Valley
have like four and four? Be better?

Speaker 6 (01:18:07):
Watch I get this thing done with a little bit quicker.
How about Etsu? We saw them earlier this year. They've
been a little Jekyll and Hyde six and five right now,
they really could use a win against Urman. They didn't
get it though. Furman got three interceptions in this game
from Etsu and they win at twenty four to twenty one.
So the Bucks desperately have to get a win next
week if they want any chance to get into the playoffs.
At seven and five. I still don't know if it

(01:18:28):
would be enough for them. Just don't see the marquee wins.
Obviously NDSU would have been one, but the Bison squeaked
it out there late with that on side kick all
the way back in early September, which seems like forever ago.
In that game. You also look across the Big Sky
a number of results today out in that conference. Montana
comes back. They were taking on Portland State. They were
actually down in this game in the third quarter, but

(01:18:51):
then the Gris kind of took charge and ended up
winning it twenty eight to seventeen. So Montana now eight
and three, five and two in the Big Sky, still
an outside chance for them. They win next week in
the Brawl of the Wild against Montana State, then they
absolutely will be a seeded team if they lose that one,
though I don't know if eight and three is gonna
I don't think it will be enough to get them
a not a seed, I mean a first round by
a top eight seed. But they're definitely gonna be in

(01:19:12):
the playoffs. A Montana with a nice eleven point victory today.
I would love to see Montana come to the Fargo Dome.

Speaker 7 (01:19:18):
At some point.

Speaker 6 (01:19:18):
By the way, they had a power outage Washington Grizzy
Stadium during that game, like twenty thirty minutes.

Speaker 7 (01:19:23):
If they come to the Fargodome in the playoffs, we
will beat them by five scores.

Speaker 6 (01:19:27):
You heard it here, Wow prediction, Yes, bold Yep and
Jake Cava will put the pats back on for them.

Speaker 7 (01:19:32):
Yeah, and not get a face mask on the lost.

Speaker 6 (01:19:35):
There you go. Other scores in the Big Sky. Northern Arizona.
This is how weird it is in the FCS this year.
Northern Arizona wins forty four to three against Northern Colorado.
That's not weird. Northern Arizona seven and four. They win
next week eight and four. They in the Humberjacks are
going to be in the FCS playoffs and they should
win next week as well. Double check who they play,

(01:19:56):
but I'm pretty sure it's one of the bottom feeders
in the Big Sky so far this season. Yeah, they
got Eastern Washington's having a really bad year, so they
should win that game. It's at home as well. They
win that one. I was and the Lumberjacks will be
in the playoffs this upcoming season. Cal Poly beats Sacramento
State as well twenty six twenty three, and neither of
those teams going to be in the playoffs. But the
one that's going on right now, two minutes left in

(01:20:18):
the first half, it was eight nothing you see Davis.
Early on it went for two, got it had the lead.
Since then, it's all been Bobcats. Though Montana State leads
at twenty three to eight over U see Davis. Are
we surprised at all by that score? The all lopsidedness
of it.

Speaker 1 (01:20:34):
Davis is one of those tough teams to figure out,
like are you going to be good?

Speaker 2 (01:20:38):
Like?

Speaker 6 (01:20:38):
Are you?

Speaker 1 (01:20:39):
Are you?

Speaker 32 (01:20:39):
You know?

Speaker 1 (01:20:40):
Like Sax stated a couple of years ago, like are
you good? Or you not good? I don't know what?

Speaker 6 (01:20:43):
Are you great?

Speaker 7 (01:20:44):
It?

Speaker 6 (01:20:44):
Can we? Are you let you in the club? Do
we let you in the club? Exactly?

Speaker 1 (01:20:48):
Are you good enough to get in or not?

Speaker 7 (01:20:50):
They're not in the club? Yeah, Yes, that's my generation
into the club. In the club.

Speaker 6 (01:20:56):
From Tommy Mallott ten of twelve one hundred and ten
yards two touchdowns passing right now for Montana State. Also
tell him a lot, two carries for no yards, but
Scott Tree Humphrey thirty yards on the ground. Adam Jones
are two headed running back monsters right there. Have done
a really good job again in this game right now,
already fifty two yards just coming up on the first
half ending Lan Laris in the running back for UC Davis.

(01:21:17):
That leads him in rushing yards and in receiving. He's
got eight carries for twenty four yards and five receptions
for sixty five yards, so he's kind of doing his job.
He's got basically ninety yards of offense right now. But
U see Davis down twenty three to eight to eight
with two minutes to go. They're at the two minute
time out there in the first half. UC Davis does
have the football as well, but they're on their own

(01:21:38):
sixteen right now, trying to make their way down the field.
So we'll keep an eye on that. One. Montana State
wins that some people have said they might deserve to
jump INTOSU. Not with the performance the Buyson put up today,
and even if they did, if NDSU wins next week
against us D, I'd say what they absolutely deserve to
jump them right back, right there's another top that's a
top five team. They would have beaten just the same
argument that Montana State would have against UC Davis. So

(01:22:00):
keep your eyes on that one. Any more updates will
definitely pass them along to you. That's a huge game
out there in the Big Sky. Two of the top
four teams in the FCS. That's a look at our
Jiffy Loop of Fargo scoreboard. Jiffy lub Bafargo makes living
life easy, no appointment needed at any of their three
locally owned and operated locations. Swinging to make sure your
vehicle is ready for the road and you can travel
stress free because your Jiffy Luba Fargo has you covered.

(01:22:21):
Jiffy Luba Fargo, you can do more in a jiffy.
We should also just passed along a couple other from
the FBS ranks. I know we're watching k State right now,
Chris Climbing. The Wildcats really need to get a win
to have any chance here. A loss would actually believe
eliminate them from a possibility of winning the Big twelve championship,
and right now it ain't looking to good. Five minutes ago,
in quarter number three at home in Kansas State, number sixteen,

(01:22:44):
in the country. Trailing twenty four to nothing against Arizona State.
Is not the game that they were hoping they would play,
not the look they were hoping to have here at home.
Oh there's still time maybe, and just picked up a
big first down and they're moving. There's a fumble anyway,
get into existing. Yeah, with all us we did that
one spoken into existing Kansas State. They got the fumble,

(01:23:05):
they got it back, and now they're gonna go down
to the field and score two touchdowns before this quarter
is up, and they're gonna win this thing twenty seven
to twenty four.

Speaker 1 (01:23:11):
Did we just Kevin Harlan that bit? I think we did.
I think we just totally broke broke the protocols there.
We broke down the third window.

Speaker 6 (01:23:19):
We changed the future of the Big Twelve right there
with our conversation on the Jiffy Lubeforego scoreboard.

Speaker 1 (01:23:25):
It just shows like it's it's tough, like there's on
to stay still seven to two, like they're not a
they're not a slouch, and they come in unranked that case.

Speaker 6 (01:23:33):
The Big Twelve this year, right like.

Speaker 1 (01:23:35):
It's it's it's not easy.

Speaker 7 (01:23:38):
They have scarships too, that's right.

Speaker 1 (01:23:39):
They want to win, and I do want to.

Speaker 7 (01:23:40):
Give one shout out on the scoreboard Jeffy Jiffy Lubafaro scoreboard.
One of my former high school classmates, Emmit Kenny hits
a game winner. Stanford takes down nineteenth thrank Louisville YEP today.

Speaker 6 (01:23:50):
Thirty eight thirty five. Emmitt Kenny, former Shanley with you
hit a career long fitty two fifty two for the
fifty two walk off field goal for Emmitt Kenny. Shout
out local product. We love that as well. Emmit Kenny,
congratulations to you. A huge win for Stanford. They don't
three and seven like they said. They took down the
Cardinal Louisville, who is ranked nineteenth in the country out

(01:24:12):
of the ACC. Still, really we're to say Stanford's in
the ACC.

Speaker 7 (01:24:15):
I can't get Yeah, that's yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:24:16):
The ACC one is driving more nuts than the SEC
or the big ten ones right now.

Speaker 1 (01:24:20):
Yeah, just just because it's set up as a directional content.

Speaker 6 (01:24:24):
Atlantic coast, Atlantic coast and we got Callent stampon in California.

Speaker 7 (01:24:28):
That doesn't add.

Speaker 6 (01:24:29):
Altho the Pacific one. I'm not good with my oceans
or geography, but I don't think that one quite adds
up one other one. Colorado Buffalo's forty nine to twenty
four win against utah Uta. It's not great, but they
got the win. They did it impressively, all of a
sudden eight and two, six and one. In the Big Twelve,
they're most likely, especially if k State score doesn't turn around.
But it's going too because we've just spoken in New Existence.
Colorado's got a great chance here with a win next

(01:24:51):
week to solidify themselves a spot in the Big twelve
championship and maybe win that thing. And if they do,
they have a first round by in the playoffs. At
the FBS level. It makes NDSU's game against them look
even better. No moral victory.

Speaker 1 (01:25:03):
When the committee gets together, they're going to have to
look at that's a quality loss. Yeah, yeah to NDSU,
no matter what happens.

Speaker 6 (01:25:10):
Like that's that's four yards away.

Speaker 1 (01:25:12):
That's a quality loss against the Buffaloes.

Speaker 7 (01:25:15):
And I will say Travis Hunter is cementing himself.

Speaker 6 (01:25:18):
He actually got scored on today. He was in coverage.

Speaker 4 (01:25:21):
He did.

Speaker 6 (01:25:21):
Jack Wilson's younger brother threw a touchdown pass on him.
I don't about the Heisman thing anymore, but did you
see the first time he's giving up a touchdown as
a cornerback, but.

Speaker 7 (01:25:28):
It's his first touchdown. Yeah wow, But did you see
his catch? And he had a pick and he's just
doing he's doing ever. He's doing some weird things in
the football field that as a former football guys shouldn't
be able to do what he does on the football field,
but he does it. And then he dances on TikTok
after the game.

Speaker 6 (01:25:43):
The Stamin added, Yeah, he doesn't leave. No, I think
he missed it. I don't think he missed any plays
against you guys against NDSU.

Speaker 7 (01:25:49):
So he's like one of those lizards that they talk about.
I'm like, very like obscure lives on this Island Reddit.

Speaker 6 (01:25:55):
Like threads, like quarterbacks weren't as valuable as they are,
you'd beat the number one pick in the NFL, I
think too. I would be really interested to see if
somebody actually allows him to try and do both. I
bet he's gonna tell coaches and teams at like the
combine are different things. I want to do both.

Speaker 7 (01:26:07):
I don't know if that will works me, but.

Speaker 6 (01:26:08):
I don't know if it will either, But I think
this should. Dion's the last guy to really do it,
so if anyone want to know, he would know when hey,
we'll see you. Travis Hunter can try and do that
at the next level, but definitely cementing things for himself
in this one. Trevis Hunter was phenomenal Colorado against the

Speaker 6 (01:30:45):
Third down at twenty. Here's a snap to Miller three
man rush. He stands in copspiders and zone. Jackson Williams
in the zone. He's got the touchdown two yard strike.
Doesn't matter how far away they are, but you've got
number seven throwing it. You've always got a chance. Williams

(01:31:08):
a freshman with a touchdown grab and the Bison up
by three scores with one thirty two to go in
the first quarter. NDSU twenty Bassouri State nothing and it
wouldn't end there. NDSU wins this one, fifty nine to
twenty one over the Bears, their tenth straight win and
the secure at least a share of a Valley title.

(01:31:31):
Cam Miller seventeen to twenty four, one hundred and fifty
five yards and four touchdown passes, his first career four
touchdown pass game, first Bison quarterback to have four touchdown
passes in a game since.

Speaker 7 (01:31:45):
Pristlance's older brother.

Speaker 6 (01:31:47):
Wow, look at this guy is so smart. I didn't
tell an episode straight Lance in twenty nineteen, the season
opener at Target Field against the Butler Bulldog. So that
was the last time it happened. You were a part
of that one. You know that to experience pretty well.
NDSU gets the victory and that game to get the
victory in this game, cand Miller, are four touchdowns through
the air? I think goes to speak about what you

(01:32:07):
were talking about earlier. Earlier, Chris, I don't think we're
gonna see a lot a quarterback run game. Won't see it,
didn't see it today, won't be seeing it either. I
don't think against a USD in the playoffs now or
in the in the regular season finale. In the playoffs
might be a different story. But they're definitely just using
Cam's arm right now and that is more than enough.

Speaker 1 (01:32:24):
And let's let's not forget you know, obviously next week
is a very important game. NDYASU wants to win that
secure that obvious probably number one seed. I don't think
there'd be any debate really. Then last year in the
quarterfinals it was forty five to seventeen. NBSU is up
twenty one to three at the end of the first quarter,
kind of like today, like it was just a game
that quickly got out of hand and NDSU just made

(01:32:46):
it happen. Last year down there in Vermilion and what
was like the first road playoff game and however long
it was, that actually meant something, right, And so I'm
not saying INDYC who's gonna go down there and blow
them out next week. But at the same time, I'm
USD has proven now two years in a row, because
we had always said, like you know usd oh, that's cute. Yeah, Okay,
they win at the NDSU O for the first time

(01:33:07):
in thirty four years fours, that's great. But they're well
coached team. They've got a lot of talent and the
skill positions. Obviously a season quarterback, some good running backs
behind him. But I just don't see NBSU not taking
care of business next week, knowing that if you win
that game, there is no doubt about everybody's coming to
Fargo until it gets that Monday night in Frisco. Everyone

(01:33:28):
has to come to Fargo.

Speaker 7 (01:33:30):
We were extremely externally motivated for that game last year,
but not like you said, you just you go down
there and if NBS like you said, you know, I
was in the lockerroom after the game. Coach Piece said,
you don't get twenty four hour rule, got to share
the conference title. Take twenty four hours, celebrate it. But
we have a really big game down for million and
there's some ex exploit explotives, explotives that's weird for TP

(01:33:51):
yay that that I can't say here unless it was
like two hours and I heard something about radio after dark. Whatever.

Speaker 6 (01:33:56):
Yeah, we kept Derek call in from some bar.

Speaker 7 (01:34:00):
But NYC does not want to share this conference title
at all, and they're gonna go down. They're gonna be
extremely motivated, and I would be willing to bet they'll
get off to a fast start.

Speaker 6 (01:34:10):
Oh love that absolutely did today. I put I put
the tweet out there that's the fast start, but I
had the first quarter stats and they held them the
negative one time.

Speaker 1 (01:34:18):
I'd love to hear a coach say, you know what,
we want to come out slow and just make sure
we know what we're doing and then take advantage and
whin the win.

Speaker 6 (01:34:25):
The third and fourth pressed too much. Just kind of
work our way slowly. We don't want to thing, just
feel it out. I would love to hear a coach
say that they never will but exactly. But a nice
win for NDSU today again, fifty nine to twenty one
over Missouri State. They do have a share at least
of the conference title, but like Jake said, no one
has any interest in sharing this this title. I remember

(01:34:46):
that game last year down in Vermilion. Though it wasn't
the first drive like a third and eighteen that you
guys had. I think it was let the catch on
third and eighteen.

Speaker 7 (01:34:56):
Even that it was the.

Speaker 6 (01:34:56):
First time, the first first little drive there, but you
could sense all the US defense are just like so
fired up. It wasn't loud, it was a good environment,
and it's just like, ah, here we go again, and
then they go down and score and that game to
go out of hand pretty early on. We do have
another text message in here as well, says for selfish reasons,
I am looking forward to the possibility of NDSU maybe

(01:35:17):
going to the Mountain West. I have access to and
the ability to travel to several of those cities they
would travel to per games, so more so than currently
when they are in the valley. That's from Paul out
in Washington. So yeah, I think probably a little biased
out there of Paul. Bet are game times for you
as well from the TV perspective and the radio perspective. Obviously,
we'll see what happens there. There's been no news. I

(01:35:39):
know everyone's very much on edge about it. I think
we're an uncharted territory with what happened with Brett McMurphy,
one of the main reporters for college football, pinning NDISU
and connecting them to a possible opening, but still a
ways away, I would say.

Speaker 7 (01:35:52):
Selfishly I want to see it too, but you know,
I don't know.

Speaker 6 (01:35:55):
We'll see guy keep winning games here. I'm here right now.

Speaker 1 (01:35:58):
I'm gonna worry about what's here right like worry about
where your feet are. I think coach Tritchman from the
basketball team is real big on that, and I think
a lot of coaches are too worry about what's in
front of you.

Speaker 6 (01:36:07):
You can be so worried about what you don't have
and what could be in the future, would have still
out there that you don't enjoy the thing that's right
in front of your face and right now, Valley championships,
right in front of your face. Enjoy this one, a
number one seed right in front of you, a potentially
on a national title run.

Speaker 1 (01:36:22):
Nothing would make a move next year or in the
years after sweeter than another no top. Nothing would make
that more.

Speaker 7 (01:36:30):
Off the sunset, say goodbye, you Indie.

Speaker 1 (01:36:32):
You can buy STSU, although I kind of will miss
the Bunnies a little bit if that would happen.

Speaker 6 (01:36:38):
I mean, if football only you can keep them with
basketball right in a perfect yeah, yeah, you still get
them in basketball, you still get another sports. I think
you keep that rivalry some somewhat.

Speaker 7 (01:36:48):
And probably because we would not want to pay them
to come play us in a game.

Speaker 6 (01:36:53):

your host Andy Rickoff.

Speaker 6 (01:41:15):
Here's just snapped to Hayes, poor man Rush. Hayes loads up,
throws long, looking at zone for Gorescores. Has it touchdown?
How about that? Acon Hayes and Johnny Gores? Another touchdown
for John Gores and that'll add to the total once more.
Fifty eight twenty one Bison on top after the twenty

(01:41:39):
seven yard touchdown catch by John Gores. Johnny scores into
the end zone once again. I don't know if you
ever got the nil deal from Roars. He should have.
If we're working on it, to work on that thing,
we gotta get it done. But also how about we've
talked about cam Miller. Obviously his future is very very bright.

(01:42:00):
I think the quarterback future at NDISU is very right.
You have Cole Peyton that will be back for next year.
Saw him on the sidelines today. Looks like everything's going
fine with his recovery on shoulder surgery. That player, man,
I think the touch is there a little bit. We
know he can run. We've seen the breakaway speed in
a couple of games and everyone tells us he throws
it further and harder and faster than anybody else on

(01:42:21):
the team right now. The quarterback position, it's always been
good at NDISU, but it looks like it's in a
really good spot right now.

Speaker 1 (01:42:26):
Yeah. I'm going to also love the fact that we're
up a thirty piece and we're still chucking the rock
at the end zone. You know, like, let's don't let
Missouri State forget about what.

Speaker 7 (01:42:36):
This is exactly.

Speaker 6 (01:42:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (01:42:39):
Yeah, you're going to get these on the weekly for
the next couple of years, so Tuesday nights, Yeah, right,
and wherever conference is that.

Speaker 1 (01:42:48):
But you are you are correct that I think that
nd SU is we got into that weird spot and
I really hadn't thought about it. So you kind of
pointed out of the Cam Miller coming in, and like
Cam was expecting to maybe sit a year or two
or three and then get his spot and have a
start for put right into it right like. And so
Nathan Hayes Colpayn obviously has been a piece.

Speaker 19 (01:43:09):
Not.

Speaker 1 (01:43:11):
Overall as being you know, like the focus of the
offense or anything like that, but definitely has had his spot.
So I think that next year will be an interesting competition.
I wouldn't doubt if we'd maybe see both of them
on the field like we did this year with the
Cam and Colet.

Speaker 6 (01:43:22):
You would absolutely love to have your college career. You
start for two, three, four years at a place and
you can do what Cam's done here. You set records,
you all this stuff. You get a lot of experience
as well. It looks like, you know, Cole, maybe he
gets one years being the starting quarterback quote unquote, maybe
the same thing for Nathan. He might only have one
year if it doesn't go his way next year of
being the starting quarterback. We'll see what the decision is.

(01:43:43):
That's a long way, is the way. That's the next
year's you know, preseason radio show is kind of problem.
But the quarterback position does look really good and we've
seen it. You only really need one year at NDAs too.
The pedigree on offensive lineman and quarterbacks right now is
pretty unmatched across FCS and FBS football. I mean, one
year from Trailer Land's gonna drafted third overall. Yea, like
these guys, you can have a great year at NDSU

(01:44:03):
when you can go.

Speaker 7 (01:44:04):
Places you see the toughness from Nathan days too. I mean,
I've watched a lot of call. That hit he took
in the third, fourth quarter, third quarter, whatever it was.

Speaker 6 (01:44:12):
You heard it upstairs.

Speaker 7 (01:44:13):
I mean I was standing right there and I was like,
oh my lord, like that was a big hit and
pop back quarterback.

Speaker 1 (01:44:19):
Yeah, but maybe a better business decision get down the
starter and just.

Speaker 6 (01:44:24):
Yeah security there behind cams that pop right back up.
So he's got some size to him. He's a little
bit bigger than Cam. He's not like a Carson Wentz,
you know, sixty six or anything, but I think what
six ' three. It's a little bit bigger, a little
bit stronger. And everyone says, what a great army has
We've seen it throughout the year. That was a phenomenal
touchdown pass to Johnny Scores in the corner of the
end zone. Another show up to Shanley. Heist absolutely keeps

(01:44:46):
on happening for us. Tonight's somehow with a nice play
there for NDSU. They win it today, fifty nine to
twenty one over Missouri State, their tenth straight winning at
least a share of a Valley title. Let's talk about
this playoff picture a little bit fellas here and again,
any or any more text or calls seven zero one
four seven six sixteen sixty or email us up studio
at Bison sixteen sixty dot com. You look at this

(01:45:08):
playoff field, I'm thinking four teams in from the valley
right now. Illinois State looks like they're pretty safe right now,
especially if they get a win against un D. The
CEA looks like four to five teams getting in there
the Big Sky. We just said, I think Northern Arizona's
getting in. You got both the Montana's, you got UC Davis,
you got Idaho as well. Five from the Big sky

(01:45:28):
right now? Is is there any path that you would prefer,
any teams you'd prefer to see in the quarters of
the semis over other ones.

Speaker 1 (01:45:35):
Bring every CIA team you can find ver Fargo.

Speaker 6 (01:45:38):
Any of those would be, any of the ones that
have twenty four to twenty one wins against Hampton on their.

Speaker 1 (01:45:42):
Own, bring them, bring them in.

Speaker 7 (01:45:44):
That'd be great.

Speaker 1 (01:45:44):
I'm really wondering about, you know, if everything holds, If
Serve holds, NBSU one does STSU haven't are they cemented
at two? I don't think, I think Do you think
Montana State in them are I'm hard.

Speaker 6 (01:45:58):
To say a team that goes undefeated with the FBS
win can't get a top two seed.

Speaker 1 (01:46:05):
Yeah, so then would I mean what again, do they
have enough to move that to where ND s U
S T s U is not a national championship game?

Speaker 7 (01:46:13):
I don't think so do they put that?

Speaker 3 (01:46:15):
You know?

Speaker 6 (01:46:15):
You know what I mean?

Speaker 1 (01:46:16):
Like them to four?

Speaker 6 (01:46:18):
Like is there's somebody have to lose to Missouri State, right,
I know the happening.

Speaker 1 (01:46:21):
That's my only fear is that that game happens.

Speaker 6 (01:46:24):
The only way I could see it happening is that
you were to lose next week. I don't think it's
gonna happen, right, but you lose that one, maybe you
drop and you have nd s U N S T
s U at the two and three line in some form.

Speaker 1 (01:46:36):
As much as they don't want Missouri Valley teams playing
each other in the championship game, I just I just wonder,
like I don't I don't want to. I don't want
the semi final game to be the national championship.

Speaker 6 (01:46:48):
Well, your quarterfinal game might be nd s U and
usd USC. Yeah, I mean to a championship game potentially anyway,
So I guess.

Speaker 1 (01:46:56):
That's just how it's going to be, But I wonder
how it all is going to shake loosen.

Speaker 6 (01:47:00):
I do still think there's three top top level teams.
There's like a half step to USD a half step
to UC Davis, maybe more than that because they're trailing
right now by multiple scores against Montana State. But you
want to be on that one line for sure, because
I mean that means Montana State and STS you get
to beat each other up, hopefully in Bozeman, and who
knows what happens in the game. I think the Popcats

(01:47:20):
could absolutely win that one out there in Montana.

Speaker 7 (01:47:22):
That's what we saw in twenty twenty one when South
Coast had to go out there, and obviously Montana State
wins that game, then we kind of take it to
Montana State. But yeah, I mean in a perfect world,
I would hope we do. There's no way we see
South Coast State anywhere other than for school. I think
that's what the fans want. We want another shot at
them and sir, but yeah, you never know. I mean,

(01:47:42):
I know Matt Larson is is he still the chair
of the committee?

Speaker 6 (01:47:45):
Is this yerie?

Speaker 7 (01:47:46):
He'll go to bath hard. I think for us, and
he has he definitely.

Speaker 6 (01:47:49):
Can't even be in the room when they're being discussed.
But behind closed doors doors you can.

Speaker 7 (01:47:52):
Get throw some weight around, and you know, I would
just hope they realize that at the end of the day.
And STSU let's make sure, no matter how I think,
we're gonna be the one seed wherever you put STSU orhether,
that's three or five. I guess four would be on
our side, right right, So three or five keep us
on opposit side too, And oh yeah, well three or six,

(01:48:16):
just three keep on the oppoite side. It's good for
the town of Frisco as far as teams going down
their traps.

Speaker 6 (01:48:21):
But you deserve you're the one seed. You deserve to
have that exact and it's not regionalizes why we're going
to sixteen seeds. We're not regionalizing this thing. And push
it out that way. If everyone holds served, like Chris said,
if NDSU wins next week and SDSU wins, a Montana
State wins, then yeah. If NDSU wins next week and
SDSU happens to lose against Missouri State, then maybe yeah,
I could see them they should be the four of
the five maybe even the six and maybe they're on

(01:48:42):
the opposite side. Still about the rest of the FCS
kind of the way it is, even if one of
them slips up next week, I can't see them falling
past five.

Speaker 14 (01:48:48):
I just I can't.

Speaker 1 (01:48:50):
Nobody else wants to see.

Speaker 6 (01:48:51):
It wouldn't be fair.

Speaker 1 (01:48:52):
NDSU SDSU is ultimately the best matchup that you're going
to get, right, I mean, no offense to the montanas.

Speaker 6 (01:49:01):
I get base would show up atmosphere. I get it.
But I think.

Speaker 1 (01:49:06):
Great things come in threes, right Like STSU has already
had two times, or they've they've gotten to the championship game,
they've won it back to back. If NBSU, their old nemesis,
could stop them.

Speaker 6 (01:49:17):
It's beating NDSU with FRISCO.

Speaker 1 (01:49:19):
If they could get to that and put the stop
at being them into like what a great storyline that
would be. Like I mean, as much as I don't
want to see STSU again in the championship game, because
you never want your little brother to have nice toys
like you, that would be really awesome.

Speaker 6 (01:49:34):
It really would be.

Speaker 1 (01:49:35):
I just I worry that they're going to something magical
might happen where that does not come to it.

Speaker 6 (01:49:40):
I mean, toss a couple of teams out at you,
just as they're speaking playoffs here and let me get
your thoughts necessary thoughts on them. I know we're not
experts on all these other teams, but maybe which one
you'd want to see lesser more than the other one?
Incarnate word out of the south Land. They'll throw it around,
calls out of their quarterback though, spread things around and
just and huck it deep Southern Speed twenty seven, twenty
four they beat Steven Boston today. The other one would

(01:50:01):
be Idaho out of the Big Sky, the vandalist Jason
Ack formerly the best DSU now out there. They've had
some good years, they're getting healthier, a good defensive line.
Where we did decide on those two ones, who you'd
like and wouldn't like, I'd say Idaho would bring.

Speaker 1 (01:50:13):
More people people, probably would be more of a crowd,
if you would, or more of a Marquee game Markey game.

Speaker 14 (01:50:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:50:21):
I'm more worried about the standpoint of which were like,
who do we beat? Who do you have a better chance?
Like best path? I want the best path, whatever it
is it is, probably be in word.

Speaker 1 (01:50:28):
I would say a card word, Yeah, give me. Give
me that team that doesn't have upper kind of thoughts,
like upper Midwestern.

Speaker 7 (01:50:36):
Flavor to it. Yeah, I mean, then it could get
They almost beat Oregon Way a million years ago, so
they're great.

Speaker 1 (01:50:43):
Although that was one of the best college football games
I've seen in a long time.

Speaker 6 (01:50:46):
It was word that defensive line.

Speaker 1 (01:50:48):
I was legit.

Speaker 6 (01:50:49):
I think Jason Neck would have them up for that game.

Speaker 7 (01:50:51):
Yeah, for sure.

Speaker 6 (01:50:52):
I think it's a really good coach. How about UC Davis,
who's currently still losing at the half twenty three to
eight at home against Montana State. You can also throw
into their how about you know Mercer or Simo, some
of those other teams that have been ranked in the
top eight.

Speaker 1 (01:51:04):
Doesn't do anything?

Speaker 6 (01:51:05):
Yeah right there, Like that is just it's just Sam
Herder had his backetology and had Mercer or Richmond in
like the semi final, who's.

Speaker 1 (01:51:12):
Coming in to be get beat thirty five to seven? Yeah, Like,
just go which ones is it gonna be? It doesn't
matter because the outcome is going to be the same.

Speaker 7 (01:51:19):
We play in Alabama about with fifteen minutes ago on
the fourth quarter, I know it's not gonna happen because
somebody has to lose next week NDSU USD and if
USD loses, they won't be the four.

Speaker 6 (01:51:29):
They should be, yeah, because I mean they'd'd be a
quality semi final. And it's gonna end up being a
quarterfinal or even.

Speaker 7 (01:51:35):
Earlier or something like.

Speaker 6 (01:51:36):
That's gonna dropp like the eight or the nine.

Speaker 1 (01:51:38):
As we talked with Missouri State today, getting that kiss
of a lineup right like USD is not. They don't
get the kiss of the lineup right like. They have
had to have a lot of tough games, and they
get one of the toughies at home against NDSU obviously.

Speaker 6 (01:51:52):
But two brookings had to go to un D.

Speaker 1 (01:51:54):
Yeah, all that stuff right that that means something so.

Speaker 6 (01:51:57):
Right, they're with you and they were competitive against Wisconsin
in a Big Ten battle. I will take one more

Time for more reaction from today's game, Currey game is
your hosts Andy Rickoff you knowing the offense.

Speaker 6 (01:56:30):
Let's first to go on the port Ham Tamiller Fate
route right looking for Lance Peace, got it right side
of the inside. Too easy, baby, touchdown North Dakota stage
third touchdown pass with the game for cam Miller, Rice
Lance with this touchdown grabbing this season, and that's absolute
domination for the number one ranked Pizon. You're at home

(01:56:52):
against Missouri State. They lead twenty seven to nothing with
eight to sixteen to go in the second quarter. I
think that's exactly a perfect example of how dominant this
game was for NDSU. By the way, Andy, Chris Jake
back you with yet Applebe's buyings on hotline final segment
for you, This game is so good for end issue.
They scored so many times. We've forgot to mention that, Hey,

(01:57:13):
Bryce land scored again. Oh yeah, he continues to double
dishes against the corner of the end zone. Just doing
it once again.

Speaker 7 (01:57:19):
And we forgot to mention the goat of Bison football,
the all time leading scorer.

Speaker 6 (01:57:23):
Is gonna get to him right now. Oh yeah, Oh
that's terrible Gros, which is the last segment to do it.
We're sorry, Grip, but Griffin Crosa breaks the record for
most points score. He passes Cam Peterson. Today gets that
four hundred mark, four hundo for Griffin Kross and now
he believe he's at four oh five after today's game,
had a field goal, some more extra points in there.
He's gonna be by the time this season is done,

(01:57:44):
the all time leader in points in Valley history. I
believe as well, he's only about twelve or fifteen points
away from catching everybody there in the valley. That's awesome.
We do actually have the highlight of the the record
breaking kicks from one Griffin Crosa nick back in the
do you play that thing for us? And now Griffin
Krosa on for the extra point, the snap emplacement, the

(01:58:06):
kick is up and the kick is good. With that
extra point, Griffin Krosa has just rewritten the record books.
His seventh point in the game and the four hundredth
of his Bison career, he has passed Cam Peterson as
the new all time leading scorer and Bison football history.

(01:58:30):
Well done, Griffin Cross. An extra point has never mattered
so much. Exactly right there, a big one for for Griff.
Congratulations to him a heck of a career. He has
been basically automatic from forty and in and on the
extra points. Not gonna know what as I say that,
but he's been great to congratulation to him on that
record well.

Speaker 1 (01:58:47):
And much like a lot of special teams are the
kicker right and Jake knows like kickers and punters, you
don't want to even think.

Speaker 6 (01:58:55):
About him if you're not talking about him. That's a
good thing.

Speaker 1 (01:58:57):
And the only thing that Griffin really doesn't have on
his resume that can did obviously was like that big
signature kick forever, the Iowa kick will go down in
history as one of the biggest NDSU moments of all time.
Obviously that was a situation. He took the most of it.
But uh, good for Griffin too to do something like

(01:59:18):
when you get to be number one at anything, the
record might not stand forever, but at the same time,
when you know of all the players that have come
through that have taken that spot, that you are number one,
that's pretty darn cool.

Speaker 7 (01:59:30):
Yeah, when are when you think of all the endies too,
of the great you know, Eastern Stick, Cam Miller, Trey Lance,
imposing athletes, this tall, big like division and then griff
Cross five to eleven, a buck forty, soaking wet cat's
dripping all over. That is our goat leading scorer in

(01:59:52):
the history of North Coast state football.

Speaker 6 (01:59:53):
That's pretty It could be in the history of the
Missouri It could be the history.

Speaker 1 (01:59:55):
Yeah, but again, you don't want to ever have to
talk of aout because the only time you're talking about
in a game winner or if they miss a game
winner like this is the only time.

Speaker 6 (02:00:05):
Also, on the kicking set of things, it hasn't happened
in a while because DU's offense has been so dominant.
But you haven't had an Eli Oasik. There was a
big kick. Oaik hasn't had to unleashed from fifty five
or anything quite a while.

Speaker 7 (02:00:15):
Well, and then I don't think we've punted in like
three games.

Speaker 6 (02:00:20):
Senior day. He doesn't even get on the field today,
I don't believe.

Speaker 7 (02:00:23):
So, I don't think he's punted them like he was talking.
I don't think he's putting in like three games. Just crazy.
Pull it up.

Speaker 1 (02:00:29):
That's special again, a great thing. Great, you know, could
we just maybe take a knee and let him punt one.

Speaker 7 (02:00:35):
Day for Senior Day.

Speaker 6 (02:00:37):
Senior Day, we wish allow the guy to punt Steindorf.
Oh not for one here?

Speaker 7 (02:00:40):
Oh I had one?

Speaker 6 (02:00:41):
Yeah, oh yeah, forty eight yards too in the fourth quarter. Okay,
out there, so he did have to go out there,
did get hey maps, well done stein or Senior Day.
There you go. Did the whole ended everything extremely well.
So Special Team is going on without a hiccup once
again there for nd SU, So well done on all
accounts there. Nd SU gets the win fifty nine to
twenty one. Final thoughts before we draw here, Fellas. First

(02:01:04):
off with you, Jake after the bye week coming back here,
Cody Mauk's back, Jake coopis the whole lot, another dominant
win for India year.

Speaker 7 (02:01:10):
Yeah, I know, obviously awesome to have those guys back.
Just the fact that, and you know, we'll talk about
like Trey Lance and Hunter lip Key were back a
couple of weeks. Like the fact that these guys keep
coming back to Fargo. Fargo claps you. Obviously, Cody's a
local guy. Coopers is from Dickinson, but Hunter lip Key
he's from oh gosh, Wisconsin, I can't remember it. There
were the Rockets. He's from Wisconsin, Trey Lance from Marshall.

(02:01:32):
But the fact that these guys to Tanka, Yeah, these
guys keep coming back to Fargo. There's obviously any Super Bowls,
but this community, just the way you guys embrace us
as athletes is unbelievable. Just extremely proud to be a
part of this program. Powter of this community. He just
hats off to everyone. But uh no, Goodwin came off
the bye week, got the job done. Let's go to

(02:01:54):
USD and not share this title with anyone.

Speaker 1 (02:01:57):
That's where I'm at too, is Spencer Wisconsin spent there
you go? Is that you know, thinking about all the
senior days and Jake you experienced it and that that
feeling of you know, it's the last regular season, but
it's definitely not the last home game you're gonna play.
But all those seniors that have put in just think
of all the hours, Oh my god, Like I mean,
it's it's incomprehensible for us layman who haven't put in

(02:02:20):
all those hours to just see what the product is
on the field for a four hour game today. I mean,
so much goes into it, all the travel, all the commitment,
all the reps, all the giving up things, saying no
to things, being you know, all that goes into it,
and it's really cool to honor a group of seniors

(02:02:40):
that have stuck together done it and hopefully again as
we had mentioned earlier, being a senior class, it's not
like one of those well these last couple of senior
classes didn't get it done, because the standard is getting
it done in Frisco.

Speaker 6 (02:02:52):
That's it.

Speaker 1 (02:02:53):
Conference championship is nice, but there's the expectation is there.

Speaker 7 (02:02:58):
You're in and you're so good for senior.

Speaker 1 (02:03:00):
A nice win for NDSU and hopefully go down to
USD take your business. Next week should be a great afternoon,
nice little drive down. Hope the weather holds that there's
nothing that pops up in between now and then.

Speaker 7 (02:03:13):
But that area between like the water Town all the.

Speaker 1 (02:03:17):
Border to Watertown, as soon as you cross over like
that Summit area, it's just a nightmare. But that's usually
only during the men's basket a Sun League basketball tournament.
That's a trouble. But anyway, good win for Indians.

Speaker 6 (02:03:29):
Hopefully not snow because stay south. Dakota's got one noon.

Speaker 1 (02:03:32):
They got that plow and if it's out west, then
you got trouble.

Speaker 6 (02:03:35):
Mission right now, So there you go. NDAC gets the
win today, they get another Missouri Valley title, a share
of it, no business sharing it though, so we'll get
a complete outright victory next week against USD, wrap of
the Valley title completely to ourselves and go on with
the number one seat into the playoffs. Nice win for
NDSU all around. Big thanks to everyone that was a
part of it from our coverage. It started early on

(02:03:56):
in the morning on Bison sixteen sixty with Ross Ugglam
and The byser Port Show, then of course j Bartley
Green and Goal Game Day and Brad Jones on the
Bison Tailgate Show. And also big thanks to our producers
from all those shows, Ian Longton, Cole Illanimi producing the broadcast,
and our postgame show tonight being produced by Nick Brenda
mule Back. In the studio are great engineers Roman Porterfield

(02:04:18):
and Jake beck Told of course, also the guys on
the actual call, Sam Niederman, Phil Hanson and Noah Gendorf
down there and the Kessler's Bridget and Kevin and all
the parabolic and spotder duties for us during the broadcast
of course, to Chris Hanson and Jake Cobba. I'm Andy Rickoff,
saying so long. Dominant win. Andy Astue wins a fifty
nine to twenty one, one more game to go for
an undefeated Valley season. We'll talk with you again next Saturday.
