(00:00):
Welcome to the Blogging Mindset podcast, where I hope you gain clarity, focus
and inspiration to boost your blogging results. Hello, wonderful listeners, and welcome
back to another episode of the BloggingLinset podcast. I'm your host, Myles
Halter, and today we're diving intothis week's blogging challenge, which is writing
a blog post from inspiration. Thisis playing off of yesterday's episode where I

(00:23):
discuss the quote inspiration has an expiration. Now, we all know that feeling
when a burst of creativity hits usand we're brimming with ideas for a fantastic
blog post. But how do weharness that inspiration and turn it into a
well crafted piece of writing. Well, let's stick around because in today's episode,
I'll be sharing some tips and techniqueshelp you do just that. So

(00:44):
first things first, let's talk aboutcapturing inspiration. Whether you're just struck by
a brilliant idea during a morning walkor a late night brainstorming session, it's
crucial to jot down your thoughts immediately. Keep a notebook, a note taking
up, or even voice memos handy. You never know when that spark of
genius might strike and something I learnedfrom James Altucher is to sit down and

(01:07):
write ten ideas every day. Andif you're doing that, then you'll always
be inspired to write something new.And the next thing you've got to do
once you've captured your initial thoughts isdive deeper with a mind map. My
mapping is an excellent technique to expandon your ideas. You start with your

(01:27):
central concept in the center and branchout with your related subtopics. This visual
representation will help you organize your thoughtsand see potential angles to explore in your
blog post. Use the tool Answerthe Public to make your mind mapping even
easier. And now that you havea mind map, you might have several

(01:49):
directions to take your blog post. This is where you need to find your
angle. What unique perspective can youoffer on the topic. Think about what
will resonate most with your audience,Align with your blogs and help you sell
more products and services. Now withyour structure and my map in place,
it's time for you to start writingand for a blog post idea based on
inspiration, I suggest starting with aten minute free writing session. This is

(02:14):
where you'll open at Google doc andwrite everything you can think of about the
topic by using the talk to texttool. Do not edit as you go
along. The point of the tenminutes is to get out as many original
thoughts and ideas as you can ina short amount of time. And remember
this is your first draft, sodon't worry about perfection. Let the words
flow without overthinking. You can alwaysedit and refine later. And like any

(02:38):
other blog post, if you hita roadblock, take a short break or
switch to writing a different section ofyour post. Sometimes a change of perspective
is all you need to get backon track. And that's it. Listeners,
writing a blog post from inspiration doesnot have to be daunting. By
capturing your ideas, my mapping, finding your angle, structuring your post,
and letting the words flow with youwriting, you're well on your way to

(03:00):
crafting a compelling piece of content frominspiration. Thank you so much for joining
me joining me on this episode ofthe Blogging Mindset podcast. I hope you've
found this blogging challenge helpful. Rememberthe world is waiting for your unique voice
and perspective. And please, ifyou liked this episode, help me out
